This place is good if youre a first time brewer. The guy that helped me find a mead making kit (Tony) was so helpful and knowledgeable about mead making that I was legitimately surprised that it was only his second day. I will absolutely come back here... I am gonna need bottles for my mead, after all.

Best Brew shop in the valley. The customer service is perfect and the prices are great. From the first time you shop there, they know your name and are genuinely interested in what wines or beers youre making. I live 25 miles away and drive past a couple of other Brew shops to get there.

Got a new kegerator and brought in the brand new empty tank to fill. They were happy to swap out my new tank with a used but full tank. Went to swap that one out and I got a song and dance. “We only have new tanks so I can sell you a new one. But I can’t swap out that old tank. Sorry.” Are you kidding me?!?So it’s cool if you bring in your new one. They’ll swap it out in a heartbeat. Don’t expect them to swapTHAT one out though.Same story on two different occasions. Its worth the drive to Tempe to avoid this second rate shyster shop.

Amazing customer service, they were able to answer all my questions about brewing ciders, they have a wide variety of yeasts for all brews, materials to press cider or wines, and varying carboys based on your budget and amount of brews you would like to make. They also cary a wide range of concentrated juices. Ill be returning to expand production as much as possible.Thanks!

Great people and selection of brewing supplies for beer and wine making. If you are interested in getting started with brewing / wine making they have starter kits that make it really easy and not intimidating. If you are a seasoned or advanced brewer / wine maker they have you covered with really cool items such as all grain brewing, nice selection of yeast, grains etc... Definitely check them out and I would highly recommend them.

Went in as a first brew newbie needing some supplies to complete my first project brew, Patrick was wonderful and more than helpful. No pressuring to get extra sales or pushing me into anything. I highly recommend giving this place a visit and letting them answer the questions we all have.

Great staff who are knowledgable about the products they sale. Rather than driving from north Phoenix, I ordered online and had my items in 3 days. The items I ordered were out of stock, but they quickly emailed and offered a replacement at no cost. Email response times were within the hour. When I received my yeast, it was wrapped with two ice packs and still cold. Overall I am very happy with my purchase. This is a great store when you don’t want to wait on the big brewing stores. The prices are good and it’s always good to support a local business.

I own a company that does mobile bar catering. We were setting up at a wine festival in Scottsdale when we realized the couplers on our tap lines had been stolen. We called Brew Your Own a matters of minutes before they closed. Jeff was SO incredibly generous to DELIVER a coupler DIRECTLY to us at the festival. They saved the day!! We cannot thank you enough!!

I walked in, knowing nearly nothing about brewing, and Jeff took the time to explain all the procedures, all the best tools, and even recommended some reading on the subject. He even helped me build my own beginners kit. The service is excellent and they truly catered the experience to my knowledge level. I felt like I was being talked to, rather than talked at. I’ll for sure be back!

We get our home brewing supplies almost exclusively from here. They are super-helpful and have almost everything we need down to some more random grains not as commonly used. If they dont have what you need, they can often point you in the right direction to find it.

Wrote a review for them on their other location which I’m sure is great too but Jeff at this location is amazing. He saved me today *over the phone* while setting up a kegerator at my work. They’re amazing- great service and great products.

I have been going to Brew Your Own Brew since I started homebrewing 3 years ago, first to their Gilbert store, but more recently their North Scottsdale store (closer to my house). I really like this place. The staff is friendly, cool, and knowledgeable, they always have fresh/quality ingredients, and their prices are pretty good as well. Ive tried some of the other homebrew stores in the valley, but this place is my go-to. I think they need to do a bit better job marketing and advertising, as their Scottsdale store was open for at least 3 months before I knew about it, but overall, I wouldnt hesitate to recommend this place to anyone.
