Bought a Lifetime Tamarack Pro 103 kayak. This is the 3rd kayak Ive purchased from Big 5. Excellent model for fishing with an unbelievable, unbeatable price. The courteous and professional service was a plus!

Great store great prices ....... that being said that girl in the front is very rude . I called to ask specific questions about ammo . She had to put me on hold 3 times before she transfered me . I wasnt and am not upset about this, she however was . How I know is she was very rude over the phone and in the store. She shoved my ammo at me across the counter as I asked her if she knew what happens when you fire the wrong ammo . The gun will explode i said. She said very rudely thats why i sent you to someone else. I still love big 5 though this moment doesnt turn me away. When I walked in originally I apologized for asking alot of questions and that I wanted to be sure im not sure what the problem with her willingness to help was

Helped me pick out a new tire pump and flipped my bike over right in the store and filled both tires and checked out my its wobbling with the nicest attitude. Place is great for getting tennis shoes with out braking the bank. On this visit I was looking for work shoes for my son. As soon as I arrived in the shoe area I was greeted by an associate that directed me to what I was looking for. Told him what size and he was back in a flash. Everyone was friendly and the store was organized, clean and well lit. I will definitely shop this store again.

Excellent range of sporting goods, however 2 stars for the following encounter. I went to purchase something just now and the store was empty of customers. The clerk looked at me and my family member at the counter waiting, then walked away slowly to do something else. You could tell she was very angry for some reason (not sure if she was having a bad day). We waited a little longer, then my family member went and politely asked her if we could purchase our items. She then yelled at my family member that her mask had slipped below her nose (only covering her mouth) we sincerely apologized and corrected the mask immediately and then asked again if we could purchase our items. The clerk came to the counter, so angry that we felt uncomfortable. I again sincerely apologized about the incorrect mask wearing as I wanted to make everything ok between us. She ignored me and just started yelling at us (it was the most disturbing encounter Ive ever had in a store) I asked her if everything was ok? She immediately called the manager over and lied to him saying we werent wearing masks (we were) the manager then started being indifferent to us and saying we had to wear a mask (we are still currently masked at this point in the story) I said, Im not sure whats going on here, I agree with and am complying with the mask mandate, is it possible for you and your staff to please be kind to us while I purchase these things please? They were left speechless at my polite request for them to stop yelling at us.

So I go here specifically for sneakers. Thats right .....kicks. they dont have a great deal of Brands but what they have is attractive and at a price you wont believe. A good pair of sneaks starts of about 19 $20 and does not reach a hundred a nice tennis shoe or casual thing about 15-20 bucks. You really cant beat it and theres an awful lot of other stuff for you to shop

I found the employees at this for very helpful. They helped me find what I was looking for very quickly. I would highly recommend this store if you wanna fast in-and-out for your sporting equipment. I found the parking lot very small though.

Prices online dont always match what is in store. But a great place to get inexpensive car camping kind of gear. Staff is fairly knowledgeable about the firearms (that are in store) and at least for the location near me they go to Ben Avery range and try them out.

Favorite place to buy shoes. I work in retail, always on my feet, plus run a business doing automotive detailing. If you buy the sub $20 shoes in a heavy walking environment youre going to have a bad time. I finally ponied up for some Under Armor shoes. Holy balls they are amazing. Also shop here for camping gear which is a good selection. Niche sports dont expect a wide assortment, but theyll recommend where to go.

Pair of (only) Serengeti Glasses (since 03) and black 90 can two wheeled/telescoping handle cooler! Advertises stays cold four days. Does alright! Clearance, sales, coupons and discounts, you always win.

They always have great deals. The products are not top of the line by any means but they are good for the price.

Great selection of sports wear and equipment. Awesome variety of shows and name brands for less. Their Spaulding t-shirts are I expensive and the softest tee Ive ever worn.

Sales clerk was helpful when shopping for girls cleats. Only one change room wasnt a problem as we had rotated it with another girl.

Lady tore thru my stuff making sure I didnt take anything.Went to the store on 36st n Thomas and bought what I needed as the lady at the Hayden store embarrased my son and I. Manager at Thomas store said the hayden store didnt need to rear my stuff apart like that.I suggest fgong to 36st and Thomas over the hayden store. Its nicer and people more customer focused

The manager of the store (blonde woman) has no idea what customer service is. My wife and I purchased two pairs of rollerblades and a set of protective pads, totaling about $150. We got home and took them for a spin at the park.Long story short, we both gave them a try and they were extremely painful and uncomfortable. There was no way these needed to be worn in; they were simply terribly made.Shopping at Big 5, we werent expecting any top-of-the-line products, but these rollerblades were plain unwearable. We took them back within 4 hours of purchasing them, thinking itd be no issue at all. Well, the manager was so passive aggressive that I was shocked. She wasnt outwardly mean, but she kept saying things under her breath that were completely audible to my wife and me, such as we have to take a loss for these, and said to our faces that we had to return products in the exact condition they were purchased in. I completely understand that, but we had no intention of returning them when we purchased them, so we werent thinking, hey, lets take these home, stare at them for a few hours, and then bring them back! So fun! Anyhow, they ended up refunding us, but not without passive aggressiveness. Will never shop here again.

I came down with my wallet that had money and a credit card and a phone so how in the hell am I going to steal from this establishment and very racial not very helpful at all will not be going back to the store again
