I understand it’s not easy to run business so I only write reviews when I see place very good to very bad! I got two batches of rocks from here and came out with two different quality. The first batch was fine after filling the yard. The problem was the second batch. It had way more than 30% of sand mixture; it had at least 50% of sand mixed in. Almost every shovel mixed with more than half of the sand, except rocks on the surface. After filling the yard, there patches and patches of sand that wouldn’t sink down because the sand mixtures was way too high . I called and emailed pictures, they said their manager will talk to us but never receive any replies then I called again. The solution they gave was telling me “ your landscapers should have mixed it in”. it is 8 tons of rocks and sand! Even that, they want us to finish the project and if it still too much sand they will send more to cover. 1. The sand is not going to go away by itself. 2. I already spend the time and money, and now you are telling me to spend more time and money because of a problem that is caused by your quality control? I just want to ask the manager or owner, if you were me will you be happy?! See pics, it’s way worse if you see it in person. They charge lower price but I will never go there, I prefer to spend more and get quality material.

2021 April 10: Front staff were helpful & nimble in helping us first-timers. We ordered (in person) on Thurs afternoon, delivered for $50 on Sat morn. At $48.25 /ton of 1 screened Apache Brown, we naively expected clean, ready to spread landscaping rock. However, there is a lot of dirt and gravel to separate, so we are surprised. Again, its our first experience so were not certain what to expect for the price.April 20 (following cleaning & disposing massive amount of dirt, then spreading the clean rock): I called management to express my concern about the amount of dirt in the 5.5 ton of rock. It was revealed that up to 30% of the load will contain smaller non-Apache Brown residue. Thats as much as 1.5 ton of dirt. The claim is that landscapers pour this & have no issues with weeds. My speculation is that heavy weed-killer treatment follows shortly after rains.Im the experimenting type and will return as the seasons progress to update the success of using our nice & clean approach (in 20 yrs on our property, we never used weed-killer and always pulled roots each rainy season). That was tedious!

Honest, communicate well, great products and prices. They are family run so they always tell you the truth and delivery when they say they will. Outstanding business.

Came here for a large boulder for my yard. Really good selection, different si,especially shapes and colors in neat rows.Delivery was fast and the delivery driver was great.Found them to be MUCH more professional than some other places we tried first.

Pleasant experience. Picked up my rock myself for a small yard and Derik helped me fill my buckets. Really kind of him as it was well over 100 degrees. Thanks for the excellent service. Price is very fair. Amount from Lowe’s would have been over double the price.

Great place to load material. Office staff extremely helpful. Loader loads material easy, doesn’t drop or slam material in trailer. BTW, scale and loader are on CH 2.

These guys were great. My husband and I priced out rock at several places and they are the best priced. The customer service was also excellent. In the middle of our project we realized we needed another ten tons of rock and they were able to deliver the rock within an hour. They are easy to work with and would highly recommend to anyone and everyone.

Have ordered from them twice so far and highly recommend. Prices are great and they dump the gravel exactly where I need it. Will continue to order from them as projects arise.

I have to say that I actually got bored reading the reviews for A & A as they were all very good. However after working with them, I see why so many people would take the time to share what a great experience they had. Every time I called each person was so nice, friendly and best yet - helpful. The driver who delivered my rock was outstanding and again very friendly. He took time to make sure he was not dumping on my plants and the effort to make sure it would not damage my flagstone and walk ways. And the icing on the cake, the prices were much better than the competitors.

I sent an inquiry to 4 companies on Friday (July 3rd) for fill dirt. Received 2 responses back on Friday - 1 from a company saying they only do fill dirt for customers that construction projects with them, the other 1 from Rachelle from A&A. I was really impressed with the response from Rachelle, especially that it was around 6:00 pm on what was a recognized work holiday for a lot of folks.Rachelle provided over a couple of options on load size and shared that I could receive delivery as soon as Monday, or any day during that week. Also provided over some choices of delivery time frames.I received 2 other responses on Monday, including one that had a ridiculous volume quote (192 tons versus 14 tons that Rachelle quoted). On Monday, I called A&A and placed my order for delivery for Tuesday morning between 7 and 9 am. This morning I received a call at 6:17 am from the driver saying he was on his way. He arrived right before 7 and asked where I wanted the pile. He put it exactly where I wanted it.Overall, very pleased. Thank you A&A.

A & A is a great place for landscape rock, river rock, sand, fill dirt and boulders. Ive been shopping there for years. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Then get you in and out fast too!!

Been here a couple of times, most recently to order 20 tons of rock/sand to complete the natural Sonoran desert landscaping in my backyard. They have always been awesome to deal with! On my most recent 20 ton order, Stephanie went out of her way to help me with a special request for delivery, and they were able to squeeze me in early (This GREATLY helped, in that it allowed the landscapers to get an early start on a hot summer day!)! Wayne made the delivery, and did a great job of squeezing the dump truck into a fairly tight fitting alley.Based on my experience, I would highly recommend A & A!!

I called A & A for some advice on boulders in my yard. I let them know from the beginning that I was not looking to purchase anything. They were more than willing to help me out with some advice. They looked up my house on Google maps to get a better idea of the situation and they even discussed it with each other to give me the best answer. Ill tell you where Id go if I was looking for material!!!!

Very poor experience with this quarry. Staff is unhelpful and rude which I could get over if they were at least knowledgeable. I wouldn’t waste my time here, there’s plenty of better options in the area.

Best place for materials

This is the second time I have used this company because the first time was so well executed . Professional, punctual and precise !!! My dump guy looked like the singer Sting and was so friendly and professional . He even landed the sand right in the center of the tarp Id laid out ....no fancy rear video cameras needed! Hes a professional !!! The front desk lady was also very professional and friendly. I was expecting crunchy people with out the ability to smile or look up from their cell phones ..she was attentive with 10 seconds of my entering found my file and I was set up with the next load in less than 10 minutes....cant say enough about the customer service and materials.

Love the service here. I work for a dump truck company and pick up material here all the time. They have so many options of gravel its hard to remember where everything is. Im sure I sound like a broken record every time asking the Loaders were i can find the gravel.... maybe driver can get a map of the yard in the future.

They dumped 18 tons worth of gravel in the wrong place. Didnt call to verify where we needed it dumped and just piled it onto my existing gravel in the front yard. Now I have 2 different gravel types in the front yard. Asked them to dump in the street but thats not where it ended up. Took an additional 3 hours to sort it all out. They refunded some of my money but added cost and headache wasnt worth it. Will look to do business elsewhere in the future.

Ordered 6 tons of 1 inch stone, received approximately 4.5 ton of stone and 1.5 tons of stone sand. Called to verify amount delivered and also complained about the amount of stone sand delivered. When shoveling the rock we were unable to separate the stone from the sand. Definitely not the look we were going for and the company not willing to reimburse or deliver additional stone without charge that was needed to complete the job.We will never order from this company again!

I have been buying material here for 12 years. This last time they dropped the wrong product, I thought it might be a problem..... but no they came out immediately and scraped up all the material and left a new load. These guys are great.
