A great place to go to buy a cowboy hat. The owner was very nice and helpful. They have a great selection and are located in a nice area in old town Scottsdale.

After a few weeks it still hadnt arrived, so I visited the store to inquire about it (when I ordered, I didnt realize how close I live to the physical store).I was told by the woman tending the store that the manager or owner or PIC would get in touch with me the next day, as this was a Sunday.I never received a phone call.I reached out again not long after, via phone, and was told something similar: someone outranking whomever I was speaking with would have to look into the situation and get back to me.I never received a response. I never received my fathers hat.I effectively made a donation to AZ Tex Hat Co., as after this I was distracted by other matters and gave up.Presumably all the glowing reviews are from individuals who visited the store in person, as their experience stands in stark contrast to my own.Im supremely disappointed not so much in failing to receive the hat, as any number of things beyond AZ Texs control could happen in the course of shipping. Im leaving this scathing review because of their casual disregard for one of their orders being unfulfilled.Maybe my hat wasnt expensive enough for them to value my business.

We came in here with a group of girls looking for cowgirl hats for my bachelorette. The woman who fitted us was very attentive and patient with our needs. This was all of our first times getting fitted for hats. Highly recommend if you are in the market for a high-quality cowboy/girl hat that you want to keep forever.

Great hat, well made. Good fit. Two reasons it wasnt 5 star. No updates from company. After a few weeks go by, I would like to receive an update on the progress(not a lot to ask for when you prepay hundreds of dollars), and a idea when it will ship. Also they ship Fed ex, who also provides no updates on where your package is, and when it will arrive.

Great Products, Bad Service...Early November - I originally ordered a hat too large and needed to return it for a smaller size. They informed me that I would have to pay for the shipping cost back to them ($34) which I didnt mind and understood why I had to pay it. I waited a couple weeks with no confirmation of the new hat being sent out so I called to see what the update was.12/17/20 - They said they found the hat but didnt know what to do with it so it sat there... If they opened the box, the original invoice was there and instructions were to send back the same hat in a smaller size. Following that, the employee told me that I would be responsible for shipping cost to send the smaller replacement hat back out to me. If I added the original shipping cost and what I spent to send it back it wouldve cost the same as 2 hats from this business so I decided to get a refund for the original order and just chalk it up as a loss. They informed me that the refund would be issued.12/28/20 - ALMOST 2 WEEKS LATER NO REFUND! Sent them an inquiry via email to see what the update was of the refund...NO RESPONSE.1/4/21 - Called a week later to see what the update was on the refund. I guess they forgot and said I should get the refund by tomorrow.They reason why I am writing this poor review is because at the end of the call when I asked how much I was going to be refunded it was only for the original amount of the hat, and not the original shipping cost which I think is horrible customer service and bad on the business. When I asked why this was the policy because I disagreed and said it was dumb the employee goes Well, thats the way it is. Great customer service right?So I ended up paying in total over $50 in shipping (original cost and what I I spent to send it back) didnt end up with a hat, and had to wait over a month with 3 attempts to get answers on the refund. I WOULD NEVER BUY FROM THIS COMPANY AGAIN. I recommend you stay away and I hope future buyers have a better experience.

Just picked up my Rough Gambler hat and its beautiful and fits me perfectly. Im so happy with the fit and shape and quality. I also took a vintage Stetson into the shop to ask them how to make it look better because I knew it had potential. The gal working there said I was overbrimmed and took 1/2 off the brim while I waited and it was a night and day difference. These guys will tell you which hat suits you and theyre right.

Just moved to Arizona and realized I needed a hat with more sun protection than my old faithful baseball cap. They were incredibly friendly informative in telling me about how to choose a good hat and did not attempt to upsell me at all into a fancier hat than I needed. I was expecting to spend at least twice as much as I did, but she suggested a reasonably priced hat that checked all the boxes and that I think I look pretty good in. Will definitely be back when I’m ready to add another hat to my wardrobe.

My wife and I recently visited this store in Scottsdale. We were assisted by a very knowledgeable woman who provided all of the information necessary for us to make a few purchases. Unfortunately, when we got home to Montana, the hatband that I purchased broke when I attempted to place it on my hat. I contacted this store and they immediately shipped out another hatband. We got excellent service both in person and when we had an issue. I am looking forward to purchasing a custom had from these folks sometime in the future.

Awesome hatter. Very friendly place and people. I love the selections of hats. They have everything in very nice hats. I especially liked the selection of fidoras. The have such a huge selection. Well made hats. They have a wheelchair accessible entrance. Parking can be a little bit tight but with all the other shops around there its worth the walk.

I hate to write a bad review but I had a very poor experience with this company unfortunately. I ordered a hat 2 weeks in advance of a family members birthday and was told that I would most likely receive it the Friday before or latest the Monday before the birthday that lands on Wednesday. I even offered to pay extra to expedite the process and shipping but was told that it was not necessary. After being reassured that the hat would arrive on time, I was told on the Friday before the birthday that it was delayed and that the latest I would have it was that Monday or Tuesday. I followed up that call on Monday and AZ-Tex told me it was going out that day and I would receive it the day of the birthday by the end of the day. The company even gave me the tracking number they purchased that day. It is now Tuesday and the Tracking of the package states that the hat will arrive on Thursday by the end of the day. A FULL day AFTER the birthday. When I called UPS to see what the problem was, UPS told me that AZ-Tex did not get the package to them until Tuesday afternoon and that there is no way to speed the delivery up. I have called AZ-Tex multiple times today and left a message and have not had my call returned. I am quiet upset at this point and was driven to write a review. If you order from them I hope you have a better experience.

Great hats of all types. This is not a touristy, cheap knock-off sort of a place, but the real deal. Slightly intense sales staff, but she definitely knew what she was doing. If you want a good quality Bailey, Stetson or other hat of any style, this is the place to go!

Loved this place! good selection and REALLY good customer service. however please note someof the hats u can get online for much cheaper. literally less than half. obvi brick n mortar places have higher overhead but if i wish i wouldve price shopped before i purchased :(

More than just cowboy hats (though plenty of those too). Bowlers, Fedoras, Kangols, Boaters... no baseball caps though. Plenty to choose from in many different styles and sizes. Good place to check out for mens and womens hats.

My brother has worn Henschel drivers caps forever; I was elated to find it on this hat companies site and ordered in hopes to fulfill his Christmas request. Received order confirmation. Woohoo. 3 days later I receive an email that simply stated that his size had sold out and they wouldnt be restocking. No recommendations no apologies. Use HATS-PLUS for all your hat needs.
