I love this place!! It’s amazing and the staff are very helpful. If you go to the ice den store honestly they are way too truthful. They made me feel like i sucked at hockey. I love the workers and they are very flexible. I recommend this as a hockey player (youth)

I’m very new to hockey and have little knowledge about what equipment to buy etc... Joey has been extremely helpful both times I’ve gone into the store. He goes above and beyond to make sure I understand exactly what I need and even took the time to lace my skates up for me tonight. I will be buying all of my future hockey gear here and I recommend you check this place out.

Bought all my gear there easily with great help to start back at hockey with local hockey group; since been there for skate sharpening (and those who know, know that this process is secretly very impt) and it was $4 with great friendly service!

Went to Behind the Mask today to purchase my son some new skates because ha has been complaining they are hurting his toes. My thought was they must be to small, so time for new skates. The staff took the time to look at my sons old skates and determined that they still fit, and suggested some different lacing techniques to reduce the pressure around my son’s toes. My son was very happy with the feel of the skates and I was very happy that I didn’t need to invest in new skates. It is nice to see a business who looks out for its customers and just isn’t out to make a buck. When he does need new skates I will definitely return to behind the mask.

Great selection and prices.They had all the gear we were looking for when outfitting our mite goalie. They even had skates in stock to fit our 2 year old, not to mention a stick for him too. All of the Behind the Mask stores provide wonderful service and quality goods. The staff are always very helpful and are happy to give advice as to what gear you might need, and their prices are always very reasonable. And if they dont have what you need at one location, they can have it brought in from one of their other stores. I like that this particular location has the synthetic ice for people, like goalies, to test their skates out right there in the store. This store, as well as the others, is a fantastic place to go for any hockey need you might have.

This location is on the ball, they had top-grade rollerblades on hand in stock, buying online sucks when it comes to hockey skates because what you see online is sometimes not what you experience when you try the stuff on, I came in for a specific pair but I ended up leaving with a completely different pair because I was able to try them on the guys here were very knowledgeable it give you advice of what to do and why! We also got a discount and we dropped just under $1,000....

We have been shopping at the BTM stores around the Phx area since 2002 when my son started playing hockey & will continue to shop there for many more years. The staff makes everyone feel welcome, regardless of your skill level, & they take the time to explain & orient you to the equipment. They are extremely knowledgeable about all aspects & skills of hockey and never try to up sell you anything. Their major focus is information & player safety. The stores are always neat & clean, with an excellent variety of products for all ages. Two perks of shopping at the Scottsdale store are hanging out with Sasha, the resident dog, & running into current & former Arizona Coyotes players. Highly recommend all of the BTM stores.
