Driving my sportster 1200 I stood on my pedals and the right one just broke. I realized that the two bolts that attach it to the bike’s frame had snapped, and the bolts remained inside the frame. I tried to remove them with a bit to remove screws and they broke inside the bolts, so I couldn’t do it myself, I needed professional assistance. Around July 31st (give or take) i took it to the service department, to see if they could remove the bolts from the frame. One week after I was told that the material was too hard and they had to order a new special tool that they didn’t have in the shop, and they would try again with that. Around 3 weeks after i took it, they said they tried for an hour, but they couldn’t drill the bolts, so I should go to a machine shop. When I went to get the bike back, I was charged for two hours of work (260 approx)…I brought it to NY because a car’s mechanic told me he would try. He just called after a few days to say that he did it, removed and installed the pedal and would only charge me 250. I feel embarrassed to having paid 260 for NOTHING and being charged less now, so I will pay 400 because it seems fair.I won’t try to take anything else to this service again. Just paid 2 hours of work for the image below… (the intent of drilling)It really took two hours to figure out it wouldn’t work?Thanks anyways.PS: the second star was because they were cool when I was there. Never and I mean never buy a bike from them they lie and then rip you off. My husband and I traded in a bike in witch they told us had no value and it would go to auction even going as far as to so call the auction person in front of us and tell us he would not pay anymore for our bike and now said bike is on their show room floor. My husband is a veteran and the manager said he was also and we thought as a brother he would be honest to a fellow brother but no instead he is a lying SOB. So I would BOYCOTT this place and run away if you happen to go exspecially if you are MILITARY RUN.

I purchased a 2013 Electra Glide FLHTCU last year from Electric City. I can honestly say sales people were nice to deal with. I had the opportunity to meet the owner while I was there and told him I had a great experience. Wish I could take that back at this point. My issue is more with Service Department. First thing was the Battery lasted less than a month before it went completely dead. Now I do know that if you do a load test on a battery it will show that it doesnt have much left in the tank. Next issue was a leaking master cylinder that I had to bring back to be repaired. While I was there I mentioned to Service Department that the front end didnt feel right and brakes were grabbing. I was told I didnt know how to ride a bike with dual front brakes. Good to know, lol, since my last 3 bikes all had dual front brakes. Now mind you I have put less than a thousand miles on this bike. I went to see about an inspection from a local garage that inspects motorcycles. They told me the front tire was shot and were surprised the dealership didnt say something about it while it was being serviced. I also went to another Harley Dealership who basically said same thing about the tire. I would have preferred that Electric City tell me it needed a tire and given me the choice to have one put on when I purchased the bike rather than take a chance with my life. I actually spoke to one of the sales people after this and he said someone would call me, go figure no call. I can honestly say it will be the last time I do any business with any Hannums Dealership. I highly suggest anyone purchasing a used bike from them to take a motorcycle mechanic with you to thoroughly look the bike over before you purchase.

Just purchased a dyna wide glide from here. Had such an amazing experience. Never owned a Harley before and had a lot of questions. Was on a trip last week and had a breakdown ( oil filter ) and a staff member stopped to see if we needed help. Then he lent tools for a roadside repair. they also washed my motorcycle to remove the oil residue for my safety. I can say enough nice things about my experience and this is my second time in this situation. They always are willing to go out of their way and they are always courteous Thank you very much. I Highly recommend this dealership

Went in on a Sunday afternoon to look at a touring bike to buy. About a minimum of 6 employees were seen walking about and talking, there were two other browsing customers in dealership. I stayed for twenty minutes looking at two different road glides sitting on them etc. not one employee interacted in any way with my wife and I. As we left in shock, we walked by the two at the front counter and even then not even a courtesy thanks or goodbye, they were too busy laughing at each other’s stories. Been riding for a long time, dealerships have sure become large, and impersonal. Unreal ! Disappointing! No wonder Harley struggles with new customers !Update in 24 hours post review, I did receive a phone call after posting a one star review, from Dealer apologizing, I raised my star rating two notches because of this attempt in good faith at least they care that is huge, so maybe I would attempt again at this point.Fair is fair thank you for the contact.
Very Poor Customer Service . The woman in the motor clothes named Joy is a big LIER . The business manager named Tyler Puza does not value customer service . I will never recommend this Electric City Harley Davidson located here in Scranton, Pa. They are bunch of liars . Very dishonest to customers!!!
Stopped at this dealership on Saturday not realizing there grand opening was going on. It was absolutely amazing, they had great specials, food trucks, and live music. The staff members were highly approachable, and more than happy to answer any question I may have had. If the vibe of the new Electric City continues, it will not be a hard decision to make this my go to Harley-Davidson dealership.

I have been a long time customer for Electric city, Not knowing it switched hands again, I was shocked to see the amount of inventory in the showroom. The staff was a good as always. I was also glad that the events page on the web site was up and running. My wife and I are always looking for rides and charity rides to attend through out the course of the summer. Stopped in and visited for some merchandise. From out of town and just visiting. Dealt with Paul - very friendly and informative. I wanted see what the new Softails was all about. Test rode one and didn’t buy a bike. They really care about you as a biker and not just a customer to sell a bike to. I wasn’t pressured or pushed into buying anything. This is what the dealership experience should be. I would buy a bike from them in the future.
They were as helpful as the other reviews said they were! I am a new Rider and needed some info and products to winterize my motorcycle. They answered every question I had and showed me what products to get. If I had any other questions they said theyd be more than willing to help me out with the process. Paul, Mark, and Tyler helped me. Very nice gentlemen! They were out of one product I needed but assured me it will be in next week, when I needed it. Gentleman even gave me a discount at the register. Will be returning here! Great place! Even for newbies!

I know all riders plan, look forward to and enjoy our long road trips. But, we also know there can be unexpected set backs that may occur along the way. Well my latest 7 day road trip, on my new 2019 Road Glide Special, took me from Canada down through 6 States including Pennsylvania. That’s when it happened...yup a messy unexpected oil leak. Yeah I panicked and felt I may be Stranded, or so I thought. Nope, not if you’re in Electric City Harley-Davidson territory. I contacted Electric City and spoke with Mike just 15 minutes before closing time and explained my predicament. No Problem says Mike we’ll get you up and on your way. Next morning at the open of business Mike, Mark and the techies got to work. It seemed a stone kicked up somewhere along the highway and punctured my oil cooler.An hour later, new cooler on, all fluids checked and I’m rolling once again. These folks were awesome!!! Outstanding service and committed to helping us riders. They sell great bikes but they live and breath customer service. Thanks so much for all your help. You are all true enthusiasts. I urge anyone in the area to drop in and say hello to the team.

Parts/Clothing departments were great, and I have no issues with them, The service is excessively expensive, mechanics are payed 1/4 of what the service cost is hourly, The dealership staff is rude and pushy, they checked my credit without my permission to find me a good deal, which resulted in my credit score taking an inquiry dump for a few weeks. I was furious, I called them up, and went back, and I was treated as if it never happened, to make matters worse, they then tried to sell me a bike again, theyd just need to check my score to see if Im approved for financing!....I really want this place to be one of the better ones in the area, but no one I know who rides speaks highly of this place. I will go get parts and apparel but I draw the line there cause their other departments are terrible. Do yourself a favor, shop around. Find a good deal, be patient, and be willing to wait to get the bike you want at the price YOU want. Dont let a dealership bully you, you have all the power to find something better, and there is ALWAYS a good deal out there, but not here....
Went to get a gasket for my 1988 FXR Super Glide. They had it in stock. That is unusual. A bike that old most dealers dont stock. Also nice selection of Bikes in showroom.
Very unprofessional and uncourteous. Told sales numerous times my stipulations of what I was willing and not willing to pay and what I wanted only to be strung along. Numerous times left on hold, told I’d be called back, even tried going there in person only to be told they didn’t have my paperwork on hand and I’d have to wait.

Recently purchased a gently used Harley Davidson from Rommel H-D ibn Scranton. James was very helpful along with Todd in seeing to it that I got all the necessary information to make the best decisions. James arranged for test rides for my wife and I on several bikes that we were considering. All in all I was extremely happy with Rommel Harley-Davidson Scranton.
They just closed but will be opening under new ownership. They are the latest Hannums Harley Davidson dealership. Hannums has a great reputation, and amazing service at all their locations. Ive been to each of them, and they are all great people!
