I brought my 2003 Camry in due to an exhaust problem. I leave the vehicle in NY so I don’t have to bother anyone when I visit my children. The vehicle is used a few dozen times a year and mostly sits in front of my daughter’s home. The muffler became separated from the tail pipe. I called around to a few places as many were closed due to the holiday. Luckily Doug‘s place was open. Rather than try and sell me a whole new exhaust system, Doug recommended a welding repair. I also had need for a couple of rear tires. He found me a couple of $90 new tires and installed them. I’m extremely happy to find someone that cares about his customers and does the right thing. I’ll be sure to visit him again for any automotive needs in the future, and I highly recommend you do so as well. Thanks Doug.

In November of 2020 I was supposed to get an oil change. I go In pay $53 and wait. To my knowledge an oil change was done. Today I go to Jeep to get another oil change and fix a Leak that I have. Mind you having to spend money on a random leak that needs to be fixed. They asked me why I have never gotten an oil change. I’m like no I did November of 2020. He straight up said to me all my factory parts are still in and the leak is from never receiving an oil change. This place charged me for a full synthetic blend oil change and didn’t do once ounce of work. Tipped the mechanics and everything. Will never go back here and you shouldn’t either.

I took my car to this shop in June to get an oil change and check out my front tires.. They definitely tried to take advantage of the fact that I didn’t know much about cars.. They ended up telling me I needed new brakes, an alignment, 2 new tires, etc. But the worst part was that they changed my two front brake pads and didn’t resurface my rotors. I ended up needing new rotors because they got warped after the new brake pads were installed. If you don’t know much about cars, don’t visit this shop, they will take advantage.

Will definitely be coming here again. I have a 2011 BMW. After driving to and back from Ohio my car wasn’t running right. My cousin told me I should bring it to Midas. Being the procrastinator I am, the day before a another far work trip I got it checked and magically wanted the issue fixed in a day.Doug at Midas found what was wrong quickly and was able to fix everything in a few hours and explained everything. He even put gas in my car! My boyfriend wanted him to listen and look at his truck to see what was wrong and he did it, no questions asked. Will use them again.My car runs so smoothly now.Thank you!

Heard a knocking sound while accelerating above 30mph and then backing off accelerator.Mechanic accompanied me on test drive to verify sound. Problem was traced to worn motor mounts and axels.After repair, mechanic again accompanied me on test drive to ensure problem was remedied.Drove vehicle 700 miles to North Carolina two days later. No problem.

Went there due to poor gas mileage, thought it might of been exhaust. THey changed spark plugs, filter and some other necessary services. Charged me almost $500 and I still have the exact same problems (actually gas mileage is worse). Not mechanics, just salespeople

Went for oil change and break checkup, was told I needed pads, calipers, rotors.. Then one hundred miles in to my 900 mile trip to Hilton head my break light comes on... so we traveled with brake light on after spending 750$..Had leaking calipers fixed by mechanic in Hilton had..Complained to Doug on my return and he was to credit my credit card for charges to fix said caliper leak..P.S he never did..In the 20 years of owning my Sequoia I never had a break leak problem..Fast forward to 2 weeks ago after failing inspection for continuing leak, they said they fixed the leak again and also corrected engine light that came on...I was told to drive for a week and they would do the inspection that had previously failed.. 80 miles later engine light comes back on, I bring it back and Doug tells me it’s a different problem.. Now I’m really suspicious of other work they did, I check additional work I was charged for including replacing radiator cap and adding 2 additional gallons of antifreeze... I discovered my old 20 year cap was fine and my antifreeze overflow container was filled to brim...I have returned the radiator cap and will now have my breaks checked and get inspections elsewhere.wont get fooled again..stay tuned.

Honestly I always used to have trouble trusting a good mechanic until I came to this Midas last week. The service was beyond my expectations it was just excellent customer service. The staff and management is so honest, polite, and helpful they told me exactly what things needed to be done with my car and told me the honest feedback. They are very quick and highly professional with they work. Also if you don’t have a ride back home they even drop you off if your in the area which, is so nice and generous of them. I recommend this place to everyone and you won’t be disappointed at all. Thank you for your great job you guys did on my car, now I feel safe and have mental peace:)

I will never return to this store. They made a mistake that led to damage to my car, and when I approached the manager about it, they denied any fault, tried to charge me to fix it, and had very poor customer service (and apparently mechanical skills). I visited this shop at the end of July for an oil change. Thats it. Thats the last time anyone has opened my hood and accessed my engine, and I keep my car locked so if anyone had tried I would have known. Fast forward to about 4 weeks later when my battery light came on. I drove it to the nearest auto shop, popped the hood to get my battery checked, and discovered that my oil cap to my engine was missing, and that I had no oil in my engine at all. The engine itself was covered in oil, and the top front of my hood was warped, likely from how hot the engine had gotten without oil in it. My battery and alternator had both been destroyed, likely from the oil being spilled on it, but of course I cant absolutely prove that. I approached the store about how they had forgotten to put my oil cap on and the manager said no we didnt. Theres no way your car would have lasted a month without an oil cap, at most 2 days. Any mechanic would agree with me. I told him that the mechanic last night had said it was entirely possible for it to have lasted a month, as had the other three mechanics I had called, and his response was well they just want to bad mouth us. He refused to even consider this may have been their fault, and that they may have made a mistake, he refused to consider rectifying it, and said they would be more than happy to look at the car and fix the current problem, even though they didnt cause it, but I would be charged for it. Why would I bring my car back to a place that had messed up once already and refused to admit fault or make it right?I had to purchase new oil, a new oil cap, and pay to uber to work for a couple of days while it was fixed, not to mention the $500 for a new alternator and battery, and the cost to tow my car home when it died on the side of the road and to tow it to a mechanic. I cant prove that the missing oil cap caused the damage, but they were the last people to touch my car, and the oil cap was present before that. Its a gross negligence of their jobs, which could have been forgiven if they had been apologetic and tried to make it right, but they had no interest in doing that. The manager I spoke to had no people skills and poor customer service, and clearly they arent attentive to details.Update to my review: the owner commented to say he would make it right: I sent out my details, and never got a response back. So apparently they also like to make it seem like they do the right thing but never follow through

The best service! Always willing to help. I commute to NYC daily and got 3 nails in my tires, needing 6 tires in 2 months, YIKES! Of course not able to patch any of the spots. Midas was more than helpful. They even sent me edible arrangements for the holidays and I’ve never had a mechanic do that for me. Very thoughtful, caring people. The whole experience was outstanding, the service manager was very knowledgeable they let me know of things that had to be fixed right away and others that could wait until ill my next oil change. The car come out all fix and drives great. They fix my suspension problem and brake lines.

Extremely honest and friendly! Great customer service! Raza was honest in telling me that the brake line repairs would be too expensive compared to the value of my old car! He showed me the rusted lines and explained why it would be expensive to fix! He was courteous and kind enough to let me leave my vehicle until I could make arrangements to junk it. Raza and staff are exceptional and very professional. I highly recommend their services!

My experience reminds me of when I was growing up and my dad and our local mechanic became friends. I found the owner Abbas to be upfront with the brake issues on my car. He explained and showed me what was wrong and what the brakes and rotors should look like. Abbas also explained the various reasons why that would happen. He gave me various options and price points for remediation. Also observing his interactions with other customers (most were return customers), it is apparent that he and his team take pride in their work and his customers know it. I will be returning there for any issue with my car.

I took my Tesla to Midas in Seaford, NY after many shops in Queens said they don’t work with Teslas. It was either I pay $325 at Tesla for a new tire or try to find a place that’ll plug it. I came here, the staff did not try to sell me on a tire. They were very accommodating and honest. In 10 minutes they had my car ready to go.Honest, Respectful, Affordable and Reliable. This is the shop for my cars from now on.

This review is long overdue, as I had gotten this work done about 6 months ago, but after reading other reviews I had to share my experience. Sorry for the length, but I want to be thorough!My exhaust pipe had broken clean apart. Long story short I went to a mechanic in Merrick and, after looking at the break, he wanted to charge me $1100 JUST for parts because he wanted to replace the entire exhaust system. I know a good deal about cars and I knew it was total BS - what he should have said is I dont know how to weld. Heres where Midas comes in.I drove straight to Midas and they saw I was clearly desperate (my car sounded like a Formula 1 and moved like a slug). They inspected everything with me and aside from the break, there were 3 other cracks throughout the exhaust and my flex pipe was coming apart, AND I had a massive oil leak. They were able to weld everything, replaced my flex pipe, replaced my oil pan (it had cracked) for much less than what I was quoted elsewhere, even with the added on work. And all of the work is guaranteed. Ive only had to patch it once shortly after it was done because, as they explained, the pressure in the pipes increased because it was all sealed now and weak spots in the pipe were likely to crack. And they fixed that, no charge. I was so happy they were able to work with me, so I wound up spending the $1100 anyway because my car needed some TLC. When I picked up my car, they showed me all of the work they did.I go to them for all maintenance and repairs that I cant, or dont feel like doing, myself. And they respect when I decline having work done because I can do it myself. Not pushy at all, and they didnt try to rip me off.

Randomly found this spot, but Im glad I did! They helped with my minor brake issues, but I couldnt believe how many promotions they had on the walls. Surprisingly friendly staff for a car garage, and they really know their stuff. Loved the prices and quality of service, so needless to say... Ill be back.

Midas did a good job with my inspection. They did tell me that a gasket had to be replaced. So I had them do it and an oil change. Total was about $300.

Doug, who is polite as well as friendly, ordered my part, installed it at a fair price. And so it was.

Went there for front brakes, they did a good job, fair price, found them to be professional. Asked them about why all the negative reviews, they stated they were under new ownership and bad reviews were from old ownership. There is a big under new ownership sign out front.

Drop my wifes car off at 930ish for a simple oil change. At 235 in the afternoon I have yet to find out when it will be done. They have also tried to tell me that the same car needs back breaks and that a different car I brought on another day needed struts and shocks which I found out on both occasions that neither were needed so that was a lie, so they try and rob you. By all means AVOID THIS LOCATION!!!

As someone who generally does 90% of all their own car work, this place is pretty good. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, they dont try to rip you off. If you want, they can buy you the most expensive parts for the car (OEM), or find the cheapest aftermarket brand to get the job done. I dont have any experience with the previous owner of the shop. The place is now own by an engineer from what Ive been told.Remember, a clean shop will always tell you the quality of work they do and theres plenty of dirty shops around Seaford.

Took my car in for inspection and was told it failed because of breaks. The car has 29k mileage on it. Recently took to get an oil change (12/29/16)and had everything checked. There was no break pad issue. So I declined to get my inspection done. Paid $37 and when I left they took my inspection sticker off. Why take of my inspection ticket if I am not getting it done from you. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THEM!!!!!!!! I should have checked other reviews before I went in. I see that the same thing was done to someone else as well.
