Cheap coffee, decent quality, cant complain. I ordered a tea with honey (I forgot which one) but it was loaded with melatonin cause I almost passed out but it was delicious and only 2 bucks after tax. My date had a bottomless cup of black coffee and she was satisfied saying, it was a decent cup. I recommend this if youre looking for something cheap like waffle house but with the service, atmosphere, and product quality of something along the lines of a small town Starbucks if you will. Great place, check it out π
This coffee is SO good! I could eat ten of their muffins and be happy. The staff was awesome and very fast, considering it was a Monday morning of lectureship week. We canβt wait to come back!
Nice ambiance. Tasty menu. Cool place to hang out or do some work if you work online. Free wifi and conference room. Can also sit outside. Bottomless coffee is awesome. Wish they served food the entire time they were open, though, instead of just lunch.
Wonderful scenery, amazing staff, delicious treats and coffee. I love coming here in my free time to read and draw. Everyone around is very nice and the music is indeed enjoyable!
Amazing experience! I was on one of my routine trips to Midnight Oil Coffeeshop as a student at Harding University. I was glum, I was downtrodden, I was defeated by a hectic week of school. An impossible task seemed to be upon me, a mountain of coursework to dig out of. To make things worse, my computer was dead, and so too it seemed my soul. But that is when Anna Grace Langdon came to the rescue! Her calm demeanor and exceptional service brought so much joy back into my day and lifted my spirits to the heights of the heavens. Literally life-changing. After my experience with Anna I received a perfect brew and went back to my chair. My computer was working, my coursework didnt seem so hard anymore, life just seemed better. Midnight Oil, AND THEIR EMPLOYEES, work miracles.
Very cool place to hang with friends or just by yourself to study or to just get drinks. The drinks and the food are very good and the workers are nice
Visiting Searcy from Conway and decided to stop for a pick-me-up. Ive been to various coffee shops throughout NWA and Central AR, and this place has the smoothest coffee Ive tasted, even for a dark roast! Im not a huge coffee drinker because the taste is usually overwhelming, but this brew had a sweet light note without the burnt aftertaste of a bad roast. The chai is good, too.No matcha & no soy milk. Maybe soon! Good job to Midnight Oil π€
Excellent! Wish I had been in time to try a sandwich, but it was too late.
Great refreshment + fun browsing Kendra Neills artwork!!!
Good coffee. Slightly cheaper than the evil chain store.
Very good coffee, and super nice people.
Im an old man (48) so I just wanted some high quality, black coffee. Graham made that happen with ease. Great place to chill for an hour.
A friend and I just finished a coffee tasting at Midnight Oil and it was an amazing experience. They have baristas who are incredibly passionate about what they do and are very knowledgeable. It was organized, informational, and very tasty. Will for sure go again.
I love the environment here at nights. I had there chocolate cake here and it was amazing!! The coffee was pretty good too.
Great environment for study. Coffee and barisstas here have never failed me. Could sit here all day of they would let me.
All I have to say is its better than Starbucks.. youll know why when you walk in..
Delicious coffee. Great people.
Great coffee place, pretty popular with students.
I LOVE their coffee. I would suggest the Fred. I LOVED IT
Food was delicious, outdoor seating was amazing and the two patio cats were hilarious! Only reason they did not get five stars is the toxic chemicals used in the bathroom including febreze which made me gag. Please look into cleaning agents such as peroxide based for the 37% of the population that have a chemical sensitivity.. also theres a product called nixall which no one reacts to
Always great coffee and a great atmosphere.
The atmosphere was lovely and low-key, and I had an amazing latte.
A perfect place to catch up with old friends and enjoy an iced drink.
The Americana could be stronger
Breakfast this morning was too good not to share about.A couple of friends were talking about making coffee the other night. I inserted that I know nothing about coffee, because it is too bitter for me. All I know is that I enjoy a caramel macchiato from Starbucks is the furthest in the coffee realm Iβve ever gone. Then I learned about light roast.Alex, a guy at my church who also works at @kibomidnightoil (MO), was talking about different things and combinations offered at MO and offered to help me find something I might like. So, this morning I woke up, headed over to pay him a visit and experience something new. He suggested a Mr. Blonde or Black Bear, but as I was reading the menu waiting on him I found the Woodsman (black walnut, maple, cinnamon, and [I think] macadamia something...). It looked interesting, and then Alex told me it was his favorite. Baristaβs choice! So I took it! Itβs a very nice blend of flavors. Paired it with a Woodsman waffle for a different breakfast than normal, and it is absolutely delicious!ββββββββI did not visit MO as a student often, but now that Iβm back will be trying new drinks and returning on a more regular basis.
Incredibly friendly and generous. I was just passing through and decided to stop in for some coffee and do some work on my laptop. Very comfortable couches (or not if you prefer tables or bar stools).
Got me hooked on coffee.
Great meeting place. Great coffee. Try the HVB made on oat milk!
I was recently in Searcy visiting my son when he bought me a cup of coffee at Midnight Oil. A very cool coffee shop with a great product and warm and inviting atmosphere. Its nestled right next to a University so the place is full of energy! If you want a good cup of coffee in a terrific environment, then this is a great place to visit!
The Blackbear is where its at. This place is a nice and cozy coffee shop with great quality coffee and a nice little selection of desserts (which what we have tried is amazing). I love to read the holiday calendar on the wall by the checkout counter.
Cool atmosphere even if you dont like coffee
Love that you can buy whole bean coffee from different roasters. They rotate out which is nice if you like to try different coffees without having to pay shipping costs online! I do wish they had more dessert offerings in the case!
Possibly the best espresso Ive had in months, and the atmosphere was inviting and friendly. A must-visit for people who truly love good coffee.
Awesome and knowledgeable baristas. But limited menu at the time because of Covid :(
Went with some friends when we were in town . We stopped in for lunch . They have very friendly service . The Chicken salad was Great . The Cold brew hit the spot . It has a cozy feel to it . We will definitely stop back in when we are I town .
Consistently wonderful! Love everything I get there. Tonight, the Chai Tea Latte. Perfect!
Excellent place for a good cup of coffee and a great conversation. Be aware people are friendly there and will talk to you. :)
You just sort of end up here and end up seeing every single person in Searcy simultaneously. I didnt think so many people could fit into a refurbished house like that but the Lord works in mysterious ways. The coffee is amazing but the guy who served it to me doesnt seem to have a name and his face was glitching in and out. Nothing to be disturbed by.Great ambience
Amazing atmosphere with good smells and Coffee Shop music, excellent locally roasted coffees and friendly faces. You can get a small cup of drip coffee for a dollar 40 if you are on a budget and the lattes are cheaper than most other coffee shops. This is a Redemptive business that benefits The growers of the coffee beans in other countries. They have a lovely deck and outdoor seating area under the shade trees and they have just put in a new stage so that they can feature more local music and entertainment opportunities.
What a wonderful atmosphere and coffee was very good!!
The Central Perk of Central Ark. β¦ A gem in a town full of chains. Be prepared for perhaps the best beverage youve ever had. They take their coffee seriously here, and it shows. The dΓ©cor/vibe is hip, yet very comfortable and inviting. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly. Everything they do/make is excellent and beautiful. Im not sure how they do it. And, Im not sure how any other coffee place survives in this market with this place around. I recommend without any reservation.
This is one of the quintessential stops in Searcy. The decor and style inside are so cozy, perfect for studying or a date or a fun time out with friends. The food is really good, we tried The Untitled sandwich with roasted chicken and avocado on the multigrain bread. It was really delicious! The kids tried the peanut butter and jelly...I even stole a few bites when they werent looking. My husband tried The Cuban sandwich, with ham and cheese. It was all fabulous, no complaints. The staff is very friendly, the bathrooms are clean, the outside seating area is relaxing as well. We loaded up on several bags of fresh coffee for only $10 a piece, which was totally worth it. Definitely recommend!
Great service, great people and a classic Coffee House right on the edge of Harding Universitys campus. Had a black walnut latte that was incredible. All of their coffee is top-notch. Nice place to sit for a spell.
I really like the fact that they are a non for profit, however I dont know if it is their beans or their staff but their coffee Was sub par to say the least..... I have never asked for a refund at a coffee shop until today! And though the barista claimed that he remade my drink I do not believe that was the case....
Great coffee shop right next to Harding University. The espresso drinks are excellent and they offer several methods of coffee preparation. Ive had a few food items that were excellent as well. The staff is friendly.Plenty of parking. Pretty crowded inside because of popularity.Has indoor and outdoor seating. There is a small private meeting room with a conference table.
Good house lattes and Arkansas blends. They also serve these little cheese biscuits with ham that are worth trying. EXTREMELY busy while school is in session, so not a great place to unwind if you like being alone in a coffee shop, but its nice and quiet during the summer.
One of the iconic features of Searcy, Arkansas is this small but cozy coffee shop next to Harding Universitys campus. It has a slightly hipster atmosphere with good music and even better coffee. Very popular with the college community as a place to study and hang out with friends. There is not a bad coffee or tea option on the menu and the food and dessert served here is good too. Outdoor seating is nice for a fall afternoon. Highly recommended.
Definitely a wonderful coffee shop. They are part of the third wave coffee movement. I just got mine to go, but their sitting space is very warm and inviting. The staff there is awesome and I loved talking about coffee with them.
Hands down the best coffee in the area. Great environment for hanging out with friends, enjoying a nice book, or getting some studying done. Can often be a bit loud due to its popularity and small size. Usually not overwhelming, but fosters a lively atmosphere.MO is located right on the edge of the Harding University campus, so expect lots of college students during the school year. Youll find many locals stopping by in the mornings and for lunch, especially.
My brother lives in Judsonia and I live in West Monroe La. Each visit for me to see my brother includes an essential visit to the famous Midnight Oil Coffee shop for a Latte and whatever cookie is the special of the day. Just great.
Love this place! Quaint, cozy, and lots of atheistic charm. Exceptional coffee & cheese cake. Great place for meetings. Even better to kick back after a hard day. FREE WI-FI
Its great as long as you can wait longer than 15-20 minutes to get a sandwich. The sandwiches taste very fresh and good but this is not a recommended place for a quick lunch. I have yet to be able to go in, order and be out within an hour.BUT, its a fun atmosphere and Great place to hang out!
How we loved having coffees here everyday weβre in town! Very charming, very friendly staff, a covey if locals, just the right place to start the day off.
Very pleasant. A good place to chill, sit back and enjoy very reasonably priced coffee with something sweet if desired. Thanks.
The folks are always friendly and pleasant. The coffee is great and well-sourced. The atmosphere is warm and inviting. Ive had many casual meetings and planning sessions here and they are always accommodating.
Nice little coffee shop. Ive only been in there once, but it had quick and friendly service. Plus, the coffee was excellent!
Great atmosphere. They even had a Whoke 30-compliant muffin. Despite there being tons of people there, I did not feel like the noise level was prohibitive. We will definitely go back.
There arent enough good things to say about this coffee shop. As a Searcy native, I frequented this place all through high school and afterward to study, hang out and meet friends. The vibe is cozy and welcoming and the quality of the coffee is unmatched. My favorite drink is the Iced Fred or Mr Blonde. I live in Chicago now and I miss this place so much! Its a real gem!
Great coffee house feel. Staff was super friendly.
MO has been my favorite coffee shop since I was a Harding student myself, and I still love to go hang out there and sip a Woodsman or a Black Bear. Their homemade chocolate chip cookies are not to be missed, and the curry chicken salad is sublime. Try the featured roast with one of their house-specialty latte flavors, and if youre feeling snacky, get a side of hummus.
Great coffee, friendly staff. Easy to get in and get out. I recommend the Mr. Blonde hot or frozen is delicious!
Great coffee
Love the black bear iced coffee!
The service and food - good. Place was crowded.
Morning Coffee - such a nice place. One can feel like they are at home even though this is a college kids hangout. I expect to spend many a day and many a dollar at this location.
Best Coffee House in Searcy, Arkansas! Great place to Socialize, Study and They have live music outside. Charity Giving and Great Family Atmosphere!
Due to the lack of competition Midnight Oil is probably the only place close by that you can actually get a good cup of coffee. Starbucks does not count because burnt coffee is not actually good coffee and as someone that is strictly interested how you extract the best flavor out of a coffee bean and not fancy frothy coffee drinks this is the cream that rises to the top. With that said I have been to better coffee shops but this is definitely your best bet for good coffee in Searcy. Cold Brew on Nitro and faster service would help get that 5th star.
Great coffee the fred
I love the coffee but during the semester it can often be a nightmare to find a chill space to study there. Its often very crowded
Great, personable, caring staff, great products, great cause!
The coffee was absolutely fantastic! The line wasnt long and there was no pressure on ordering. The staff was helpful not to mention the place itself is beautiful!
Their Chia tea Latte is gold! Love their little conference room. Perfect for the hubs and I to get a quite out of the office to dream.
This is a fabulous coffee and pastry shop. It has a great mission, in supporting African humanity efforts. When you are in Searcy, stop by and enjoy something from Midnight Oil.
Great local coffee spot in Searcy. I had the Black Bear with an extra shot and iced, it was amazing. This place has a cool inside atmosphere and great outside seating.
Great place, quiet. The people there are amazing. The drinks are also fantastic!!!
I LOVE this place! Their coffee is SO GOOD! I definitively encourage you to visit MO!
Love it
Great service and food but a little pricey
The last time I was at midnight oil was in the 90s & coffeehouse life was everything. Im glad to see that yall are still going strong.
The customers werent so welcoming but the workers are the friendliest around.
Excellent coffee, wide variety of drinks, food during lunch and desserts all the time.
Its a coffeehouse, cheek-by-jowl with a college campus. Its great. Real coffee, not that ****bucks franchise psuedo-chic crappola. Real coffee ( did I mention that?), real people, real atmosphere. Ive had coffee in 17 countries. Theirs may not be Yauco Select, but its a dam good honest cup at a dam good price.
Excellent coffee, delicious desserts, and an assortment of lunch options! If you are looking for a great place to study, visit with friends, or just warm up with a great latte, this is the place for you! A must-stop in Searcy, Arkansas!
Great service, great atmosphere. Am new here, this already favorite place for coffee, fellowship
Great tasting coffee with a great purpose.
Very cosy, little coffee shop. Kinda noisy inside due to the lack of space, but the back porch is a nice place to sit and visit. There is also a small conference room that can be reserved.
Such a nice cozy place to drink coffee & visit with friends & family. The drinks were great!
Awesome. Accidently found it. Super coffee. They have other stuff and free wifi too
I love this place and their atmosphere. If you want a place to meet someone or to study or write, this is the place to go.
Perfect coffee shop with wonderful beverages and comfortable seating. Add a homey building and the scene is set.
Good chicken wrap sandwichs and soup and grilled cheese with hot chocolate and hot apple cider are all great.
Great place! Atmosphere, selections, & staff, are all superb. This is what a coffeehouse should be.
Great coffee and service! Good atmosphere!
Its okay, little bit high
SDelicious coffee. Good service
