Wonderful staff, they run out to you first thing when you pull up in the service drive and check you in, the service manager Eric is stellar, Service advisors are very good. Overall dealership provides excellent service. Andrew the technician is the only guy I would go see. He is extremely smart and fixes the car right the first time. He loves to diagnose the problem cars for Volkswagen of America.

My wife and I had been in the market for awhile looking at the Atlas cross sport. I finally found the model and color we wanted. Carter’s had it and we’re so glad they did. When Maddy reached out to us I couldn’t believe how fast and organized she was. When we went to our test drive appointment it was raining that day and she had it parked right in front for us undercover. I was ready to sign right then and there! She definitely made buying a new car fun and exciting the way it should be. Her whole demeanor was impressive. So if you’re in the market for a VW I highly recommend coming here and asking for Maddy!

Purchased a brand new car from Carter VW. Drove a collective 6 hours and really love the car. However, no floor mats were included in the purchase. I didn’t realize the car did not have them until my return home. I called to ask if it was a mistake and was told I could purchase them myself. In a state where it rains 80% of the time, I am baffled at the fact that a brand new car didn’t come with any type of floor protection. I’m also disappointed that my salesperson never once mentioned it.First experience with VW and I am not impressed!

I was introduced to the service department because of my 2002 Passat wagon, and it was fortuitous that I bought my GTI at CARTER. I had supported local neighborhood German mechanics, but I needed toe expertise of dedicated VW technicians. I have not had an unpleasant experience at CARTER, I have my oil changed every 5000 miles, and this gives me a chance to have the car examined and preventive maintenance performed, before the part fails, or I need a tow.Eric Estrella is the service department manager, and he has a team of expert VW technicians who fix it right the first time, and stand behind their work. After calling and speaking to University, Auburn, and Carter, I liked their customer service best and decided to make an appointment for an oil change on my 18 Beetle. I worked with Kenneth, and he’s a wonderful service advisor. When I parked in the service lane I was greeted by a really friendly lot attendant who did a look over my car to protect myself and the shop from damages. Came inside, gave my keys to Ken entered all my info into the system. It took a little over an hour, really nice waiting room with coffee and snacks. My car is my baby, and it’s really important that I find someone I can trust. I believe I’ve found that at Carter. I saw an ad for 2020 vw gti for $27999 from their website. I called and made an appointment with Michael. I visited the dealership and the worst experience began. Michael couldnt find the car I saw on their website. Apparently they were moving websites and the car I saw was from their old website. But he took the pictures from my phone of the car and went to go talk to his boss. He said the price was CASH Price but there were nowhere on the website that it said CASH Price, it said Our Price. So he was able to work the price that was advertised. VW had a special offer for 2020 gti at 0% through VW credit. So I wanted to apply for financing through VW to get 0% as I have excellent credit. Michael kept me waiting for a very long time talking to his boss. He informs that I cannot apply the loan through VW because they just cannot. I showed him the VW website with fine details and there were nothing about special pricing range in order to apply the loan though VW. He brought his manager and obviously manager says the same thing. But as a consumer, customers will come to look at the car at the advertised price and will apply for the 0% to save money. Manager gave me 2 options. Either I get the car at $27999 and apply through different lender, or I get 0% at $29999. I said no, I want the car $27999 as advertised and apply through VW credit. They went on to explain how they wouldnt make any profit off of this transaction. Thats not my problem nor any other consumers problem. I was not negotiating price down from $27999, I wanted to buy the car at the advertised price through 0%. The dealership advertised a price that they would not honor. That is just unethical, unpractical, and unprofessional. Consumer goes to the dealership after seeing the advertisement. And quite frankly, both Mike and the manager had this WHITE people power ego in their tone of voice and verbiage. I guess this dealership treats their customers like this in that not so rich looking neighborhood which is plainly wrong in customer service business. Bottom line is, they would rather lose their reputation and not put people first even if they made the mistake. They should not advertise something they cannot honor. The manager asked us to leave and so we did and took our business else where and bought the new gti! Do NOT go here and get disrespected and mistreated!

Be very specific and careful when getting service done. It took three trips to get a fog light replaced. The first two times I brought my golf in to get a broken fog light replaced they did not have the parts. I explained what the problem was quite well prior to both visits. The first time I actually showed the service agent the problem and they failed to order the part. On that visit I also got new tires (to the tune of $1100), to combine two things in one trip. I didn’t find out the fog light was not ordered until I came to pick up the car. The service department managed to lose two of my wheel emblems on that visit as well. I brought my Golf back again to get the light replaced, everyone makes mistakes sometimes, right? Nonetheless and they ordered the wrong part. Again they didn’t tell me of the mistake until I went to get the car, I couldn’t bring the car home because it was still disassembled. Finally, the third trip the part was replaced. Up to now I have been very satisfied with Carter VW service, but needless to say I’m pretty unhappy with the customer service.

If I could give zero stars, I would. I have never been treated so rudly in my life by supposed customer service reps. One sales rep in particular, Liz, lied to my husband about a warranty, and then proceeded to speak to the both of us as if we were stupid and had no idea what we were talking about. The front service desk lady, whos name I missed, snapped at me when I asked where my husband was after visiting the restroom. The a random person came in and (asked is a nice word for it) asked for my husbands car keys so they could move that golf into a better spot. No preamble, no explanation or direction of the question, just walked into the waiting room and demanded the keys to a car without asking the owner directly. As I type this, Liz keeps speaking over my husband with short, rude answers. I highly encourage anyone thinking of coming here to reconsider. God awful service. I was excited to find literally the exact vehicle Id been looking for. Spoke to gentleman and came to the dealership. Was ignored as I walked into the service floor. Thought, maybe they think Im waiting for a vehicle (trying to give them the benefit of the doubt). Go to the sales floor and stood there for 15 minutes. I look thru their snacks, their coffee, even used their restroom, looked a few in their eyes and NO ONE SAID A WORD TO ME!! There was a family looking at the VW Atlas on the floor, a gentleman came by and addressed them, still crickets. I called them from the sales floor and requested their manager. I explained that Ive been standing staring at them for 15 minutes (they have glass offices) and no one has said as little as Hi to me. The manager gets on the line and I explain the situation again. He comes out and apologizes, explains theyre customer service oriented etc etc etc and 2 sales reps come over and began talking about the vehicle and test drives and not acknowledging that theres first and foremost a customer service issue that needs to be addressed. Reluctantly I test drive the car, mainly because I really do want to see how it drives. After the test drive, my salesperson asked where Im at regarding the car. My response was as follows: Ill be candid with you. Im still at the beginning of my experience here. Ill be damned if I give someone thousands of dollars and they cant speak to me. Customer service is everything. Even while your manager is addressing a customer service issue youre still worried about the car! Youre not a monopoly, youre a car dealership. They exist everywhere. Im a black man in a white area with dreads down my back. SOMEONE SAW ME! This isnt a racial issue to me. Its an etiquette and customer service issue. I CLEARLY stand out in a lot of environments, especially somewhere such as Ballard so to say I wasnt seen is insulting. There were choices made not to address me and ONLY when I called them on it (Literally) did someone do so.

I was first transferred to service. After service told me I shouldve been transferred to sales I was put on hold for 5 minutes. I hung up and called back and asked to speak to sales. I was put on the phone with someone who told me he was new and didnt know the answer to my question. He said he could email me a you tube video on how to do it later. I said no I am sitting in my car I need someone to help me now.He went out to a car on the lot the same as mine as tried to figure it out himself while on the phone with me. After 5 minutes on the phone it was clear I knew more about the car then he did and he wasnt going to be able to help. He told me he would have someone call me back within 5 minutes and tell me how to fix this issue. This was yesterday and still no call.I have had other issues with the service at this dealership over the past 12 months. When I was searching for a car I questioned them about the 8 recalls the 2018 Tiguan had. The response I got was not to worry we extended our warranty so if anything ever happens just bring the vehicle in. Although this may be comforting to some I didn’t hear anything about if they’ve made their vehicles more reliable. So I decided not to purchase the vehicle. Posting on behalf of a friend:After leasing a VW Tiguan In January 2019 they have now had to bring back the vehicle THREE times to be looked at. The vehicle completely shuts down without warning creating an extremely dangerous situation for the driver. After the second time the issue occurred the dealer said they would replace the vehicle if it happened a third time. Well It happened a third time. Now both the dealer and VW themselves Are arguing about how to proceed. Additionally, they cannot help him until the end of day Monday and suggested he rent a car as they refuse to cover the costs. They told him they cannot give him another vehicle (so they lied).

A work uniform being worn should indicate a person has a job..... Thats usually whom you want to sell a car to.Especially if that person has (2) full time ones.Just a friendly piece of advice for the salesmen: A patagonia coat does not always indicate wealth.....

Knowing the excellent service Brian Bradley provides; courteous, knowledgeable, and puts you at ease, I truly believe Mr. Bradley would make the car purchasing experience an enjoyable one, not an easy task. I would definitely do business with him in the future.

I bought my 2012 jetta from Carter and I like it. Heath Bower, who was the salesman, is very professional and nice to talk to. I even put his name in my companys wiki in case ppl want to buy cars. I would recommend Carter and Heath.

We bought a new VW Jetta and worked with Brian Bradley. He took ok care of us during the sale process. As for service after the sale I must say Im very disappointed. I was pestered to get the original review up here shortly after the sale so I was still in the honeymoon stage. Since then I have experienced multiple issues I am annoyed by. First, shortly after the purchase (about a month) I received a piece of mail stating we where actually not approved for the loan we got and I had already made a payment on and it had our credit scores on the paper as laughably lower then our real score. After calling I was informed that this was a mistake that had been sent out accidentally. Next, we took the car in for a check up as we heard a noise that sounded like a CD running coming from the drivers side of the dash when on the highway. The mechanic was very nice but informed us he could only drive it 2 miles on a test drive and he didnt hear anything so we just ignore that noise now. Finally, I had a question on warranty the other day. I called and was hung up on three times while they transferred me to every corner of the dealership. At my wits end I called one last time and told the operator I had been hung up on three times and she said she would have someone call me back later. I was never called back.....

I just bought a beetle from Carter Volkswagon and worked with Graham Satterlee. He was exceptional! The team worked with me to find the lowest rates and went outside their normal routes to do so. I had an awesome experience and would highly recommend them to friends and family looking to buy a new or used Volkswagon.

I Will never purchase or lease a vehicle from this dealership again, found that they lac customer service skills. My wife and I leased a car from them and were told a lie at initial lease to find out at the end of the lease. Your better off taking your business elsewhere. There a bunch of Lieing manupulative salesman. If you do go there dont work with Zachary clements. He was rude And inconsiderate spoke to my wife and I infront of his whole service department. both my wife and I work in the customer service industry and the situation should have been handled interially different in our opinion. If I could I would give them negative stars.

We had some trouble with other VW dealership in Yakima and Whitefish, Montana (-5 stars). Carter was able to set everything right through their great customer service! They were genuinely concerned and apologetic for the service we received at the other dealerships! We would not own a VW, but because of the quality of care and service we received from Dans team, we have our VW baby back! Thanks Carter!!

New car buying experience might be ok there, but this is really really bad place to service your car. My 2014 Jetta had air conditioner problems since day one. I took it there 4 times (!) to fix it and they claimed they inspected and located all leaks (different places every visit), fixed and then after several weeks a/c stops working again. Scheduling repair involves one to two weeks wait time, and with broken a/c in the 90 temperatures this Summer its just unacceptable. After the last visit for a scheduled maintenance, they didnt even reset the maintenance reminder (may be they just reparked the car and didnt do any service?). Never going to go there again.

One of the worst customer service in my life. Waited for a long time to talk to salesperson. When the deal didnt go through, the manager just walked away.
