Beautiful, handmade, locally designed clothes!

I love this place! Used to live a few blocks from it, and then discovered that one of my instructors in fashion design school worked there, so I started visiting whenever I walked by. The owner is a very cool friendly lady from Texas. Down in the basement there are four (five?) on-site designers, and everything sold here was designed and produced locally (either Seattle or Portland). Good selection of jewelry and accessories as well. Comfy dressing room with a couch.

THE BEST PLACE TO SHOP HANDMADE in downtown Seattle.Sassafrass has the most incredible collection of locally made clothes, purses, jewelry, art and accessories. Plus the owner Amy and the staff she has working there are the nicest, kindest, sweetest humans alive. When ever I go to Sassafras I know I will leave with something (or multiple things) cute and well made and not only that, but I will leave with a warm glow in my heart, because thats just how this store makes me feel.Shop here.You wont regret it!

If youre looking for more of the same, this is definitely not your spot.Also the creations here are often unique, so its always worth a visit if you havent been in lately. And dont be shy with the humans in the store - you might get to meet the owner/curator! :)

I came in looking for a dress in a hurry and immediately was assisted by a wonderful employee whose name I didnt catch. I tried on a dress that caught my eye in the window on a mannequin, and while I was in the fitting room, she brought another 2-3 almost immediately to try on, knowing I was in a rush. She was super professional, and on it!The one I tried was lovely, but the second one I tried was perfect! I was in and out in like 6-7 minutes, and couldnt have done it without her help! I found the perfect dress for that evenings dinner.

This boutique offers a stellar selection of unique womens clothing designed and made in Seattle. I found so many beautiful dresses for daily wear, special occasions, and day-to-night that I had a very difficult time deciding which six to take home... and I usually dont like to shop for clothes! The very helpful salesperson was also one of the designers; she guided me to flattering pieces that will definitely become staples in my wardrobe. I didnt really let myself look at the accessories because I knew I would be tempted by the creative jewelry, too. Comfortable (spacious, not over-heated) dressing rooms with a nice seating area for my spouse were especially pleasant.
