One of my regular local coffee places. Got my Chai latte today. They have seasonal drinks, coffee beans from all over, “regular” coffee drinks of the hot and cold variety, merch and foods. You can also order some of their stuff on their website. Everything I’ve gotten from them has been great and they’re always super friendly and helpful.
Got a cup of drip to go. Surprisingly flavorful, complex and delicious.Typically drip at even great coffee shops with well roasted (light enough to allow the flavors of the origin to come through) tends to be flat and muddled. The batch brewing process isn’t always dialed in like a singe cup pour over, and sitting for hours tends to reduce the delicate notes. But this cup of single origin Columbia had so much flavor! Will definitely go back!Recommend to anyone who likes a nice cup of single origin, black filter coffee.I almost always drink coffee I brew at home from beans I source from the best roasters. So happy to find a spot with quality like this. Will have to try their beans as well.EDIT: Ive since gone back and they didnt have the single origin on drip, so I got the Cafe Vita blend. Too dark for me and basically didnt drink it (Id prefer no coffee to dark roast coffee). So my enthusiasm has ebbed a bit. When VIF is open I would go there first for their Olympia Coffee Roasting drip, which does some pretty high quality beans, but VIF open hours are quite limited.
Following CDC guidance and having everyone wear masks. Great coffee!
A shiny slice of bohemian ambience
Sleepy Friday night (12/27/19) I am waiting for my friends to arrive at Uneeda Burger, while I thaw out because of my geocaching adventure I had in the cold AF Fremont area.At any rate, the kind and compassionate barista answered my questions about this boutique cafe menu options. I settled on their signature drink: Pacnor.Small in size but big on flavor and taste!
Very great service. Coffee, well latte is what I got, was great. Huge chocolate croissants
One of the finest coffee roasters (especially for espresso) in Seattle area. Try their del sol blend.
I helped fabricate and install the countertops at this coffee shop in 2006 and loved the space. Ive recently been going back there as a customer and I still love the space. Natural light, great baristas and wonderful coffee. Whats not to love?!
At this particular location, if you want juice, it is $8. Also they have maybe 1 to 2 savory food item/s available per day. The quiche is good but overpriced. So is everything else. Lovely place to work/hang out with fast service, but anything I purchase besides coffee/espresso feels like a ripoff.
Good coffee, worst customer service. The staff all seem like they are miserable in their jobs, I don’t think I’ve ever seen them smile or greet a customer as they walk in. When you step up to the register they just look at you like a deer in the headlights without hardly saying a word or making eye contact. I continue to come because it’s on my way, but there are some mornings I just want to remind them to smile because life ain’t so bad.
I am in here right now and I definitely will not be coming back. The service is ridiculous. I went up to the counter and asked if there was a Del Sol coffee and pointed at the one on the counter in the bag. The receptionist then looked at me strangely and responded its right there and pointed to the bag. I can understand the misunderstanding, not a problem! My problem is that after I asked if there was one to drink here, she said only espresso we have xxx on drip. I said I would have it. Now I dont know much about espresso so when she asked me if I could like seltzer back I had no idea what that meant and so I asked her saying I dont know what that means. She responded really rudely that its sparkling water you drink it before you have your espresso. I said ok, I guess at this point I have zero patience left. But I let it go and they got it ready for me. Once I got the espresso, I was feeling a little badly about being treated so rudely but I thanked the man who gave it to me and just tried to let it go. I dont drink it for a while because my contact slipped out and my eye was burning. I had to do some checking for work. In the background the rude receptionist and the man who gave me the coffee were talking really loudly about how when they go to a cafe they like to have the espresso right away and dont just let it sit there. I felt really badly. I mean, because of one misunderstanding they decide to make fun of customers? Maybe I was in the wrong a little as well; maybe the way I said something came across rudely and Ill accept that. But what kind of service is this? I refuse to be treated this way. Congrats on having the most pretentious staff who think theyre above everyone. I certainly dont think I am above them but I like to be treated equally. Abhorrent service, man.
Great Americano, but not-so-friendly-to-a-newbie style service. Im sure most of the people there are friendly. It was late in the day, man, what can you expect. We all got our stuff to deal with. Mine is learning how to order coffee at an espresso place.
The only coffee I have found that doesnt upset my nervous system. I can enjoy an entire super delicious cup! GF muffins and breads are excellent ... staff is very friendly. Love my visits here!
I meet people here often for work related conversations. I have always grabbed the chamomile tea. It has a little mint and is really tasty. Their crew is kind and laid back. Seating is slim. Thats the only draw back.
Good coffee, friendly staff, windows open on nice days. Benches could be more comfortable. And the musics a little loud for my taste. But I keep going back
I personally boycott this coffee brand because they closed their store in Olympia, and it really changed the downtown area. Other than that, I find their coffee too lightly brewed for my tastes. However, my bf loves their iced americanos.
Friendly atmosphere and the employees are friendly and helpful. They keep a bowl of water out and treats for the dogs who visit. There’s tables outside the shop during business hours and the number 5 bus stops right there on their corner.
Hands down, the best coffee I found in Washington during our week long vacation. It is a quirky place. Staff is great! I hope the cashier with the broken leg/foot is doing well! I was impressed to see her pushing through all of that to keep working and be so amazing with people who have never been in before. Coffee was smooth and rich and was happy to see that they roast their own beans! They remind me so much of Collectivo Coffee in my home state of Wisconsin. Cafe Vita made me feel like I was back home yet having an amazing first experience. Im excited to come back the next vacation we take there.
The people who work here are very sweet and helpful. They also have a good selection of milk alternatives. Oat milk lattes are delicious.
Got no greeting from the barista or even eye contact. I work in customer service too so I get it - not all days are amazing. Its just weird to pay $4 + tip and feel like you were ripped off.
Very adequate neighborhood coffee shop. Great for a quick meeting. The coffee is ok (its good, but not Seattle good; that goes to Vivace) and it has a good selection of baked goods from local bakeries. Its convenient and the staff is always quite friendly.
Great coffee and quiet place.. awesome for some studying.
I have had good times and great coffee here. Staff have always been friendly to me. Love the neighborhood atmosphere.
The coffee was OK, but not the best Ive ever tried. The pastry was expensive for its quality... I wont repeat although it was not bad
Good espresso. Convenient location. Rotating gallery from local artists. Staff is a little annoying.
Best espresso I have ever had. Other times it was very good, but today absolutely amazing!
One of my fave shops in the Wallingford/Fremont area. Cafe Vita was the first Seattle coffee shop I visited upon my arrival. We drove across the country for a whole week, slept on the floor our first night, and awoke on a mission to find great Seattle coffee - we did! The staff is always super friendly, the environment is great for work or socializing, the large windows give lots of light on sunny days, and they are dog friendly! And thr coffee is stellar. Melt my heart!
A decent coffee shop. They dont burn the espresso. They arent pretentious. Neighborhood feel. Fast service.
This place is great. Seek out Jeffery the barista, always a smile upbeat vibe. Coffee is spot on.
The best coffee Ive had in this city for Decades if what you really want is strong coffee taste and head like I havent gotten since my early twenty. Call ahead, closed on Mondays.
Great alternative to big chain coffee shops. The ordering area is close the entrance and backs up, otherwise its a great place.
The atmosphere of this cafe is absolutely wonderful. And their bathrooms are clean and impressive, that says a lot about a place.
Love the vibe, love the tea selection. High quality stuff with some fun loving staff. Looking forward to heading back soon!
First time here. Absolutely the best cold Brew Ive had.
Staff was friendly. Coffee delicious. Will be coming back next time Im in Fremont.
Mellow corner coffee spot. Coffee is meh. Pastry and snack options are limited.
Vita has some of the highest quality coffee in all of Seattle. This specific branch is in a great location, right next to Uneeda Burger (home to one of my favorite burgers) and there is a Pokemon Go gym right across the street within range of the bar seating. Sip your coffee and play the Pokemans all at once!
Cozy on a Sunday morning. Visited from out of town and loved the coffee, the quiche and the atmosphere.
Cool little coffee shop. Nice pastry and cozy atmosphere. Recommended!
Good coffee. Sweet pastries. Great people!
Okay. Space is nice, but coffee is no good. Wont come back. My americano was almost all water, hard to taste any coffee at all! Not acceptable.
Very good coffee. The people here are also very friendly while pulling a great espresso.
Good coffee, lots of quick bites - bagels, quiches croissants, friendly staff, outdoor seating and reliable wifi! An excellent example of a Seattle neighborhood coffee shop
Amazing service with amazing coffee with amazing refills.
Good coffee & service. Enjoyed the place very much
Latte is the best Ive ever had - no joke!
Nice cafe. Good coffee. Interesting location
Ive *always* walked away from Caffe Vita thinking, That was a really good cup of coffee. The staff arent always very friendly, which can be a bummer. (I mean, I get it. I was a barista for a long time. You dont have to go out of your way to leave a good impression, though.)
The coffee was okay and a bit expensive. The service was hipster as all get out and so, you know, was lacking a bit. Id go to one of the other million or so coffee places just down the block.
Good coffee and great atmosphere it had a public bathroom that was for both genders
Casual atmosphere, beautiful design, great cold brews. Ideal for an afternoon working out of the office.
Decent iced coffee. The guy serving was super friendly.
Great coffee and food. The staff is excellent and friendly. Dogs welcome.
Friendly great place to sip a cuppa. Dog friendly with treats and water.
My favorite coffee shop, hands down. Its all about the people who work there. They know how to hire the right people! Fremont shop!
Ah soooo overrated. Staff is rude. Coffee is okay. If you want good coffee and good people just go down the street to Lighthouse coffee.
Nice little place to sit and enjoy a morning cup
Was good until bought by Starbucks. Now the coffee tastes terrible and is no longer local owned :(
Nice place to chill...soothing music, good coffee and pleasant behind-the-counter staff
Coconut milk latte was great. Thank you
Great coffee and they love my dog. What else could I want?
Outstanding - Friendly, knowledgeable, and fast service!
Delish café mochas!
Decent cup of coffee and a few tables to sit outside on a nice day.
They made me believe coffee can be delicious.
My neighborhood go-to place for good coffee.
Trendy sort of place, hipster hangout with their laptops and beanies. Customer service bit lax and coffee well not the double strength I needed should have asked for a double triple.
The best coffee in Seattle. Period. Try the Bistro Blend
Good coffee, kind of small, but has friendly staff.
Amazing coffee!! The coconut macaroons are to die for!!!!! I crave them everyday
Very friendly staff. Great place to do some work/study.
Lovely coffee and cosy set up :)
Love their coffee. Cute shop.
My favorite coffee place in all of Seattle!
Great espresso drinks, sweet location in upper fremont
Hot chocolate was meh and the shop was too loud.
Our barista pulled a couple weak shots. The cashier chatted for at least 2 minutes with the person in front while we stood waiting to pay.
My favorite coffee/tea in town!!
Great espresso drinks and loose leaf tea
Great coffee and conversations!
Good coffee, little pricy.
Fancy but friendly atmosphere.
Good coffee but pricey
Nice neighborhood place.
Great coffee great service
Super best latte ever
Good service and coffee.
Super smooth coffee
