Pretty disappointed in the cupcakes that Ive had there. They definitely focus more on the look of the cupcake than the experience of eating it.One example, the Nutella cupcake had no Nutella. The frosting tasted like Cool Whip. Blech.
Trophy cupcakes are hands down the best cupcakes I’ve ever tasted. I love their gluten free options and their GF almond joy was to die for. My only complaint is the location choice for all of the stores. We live up north and driving down to get cupcakes I noticed each store has parking issues and is inconveniently located inside a shopping center. I bet you money they would make more if they had a stand alone shop with a drive thru window for online pickups closer to the freeway. 🧁❤️ **Just to add to someone’s point, this location does skimp on the frosting but the University District location does not and they have really good ice cream if you want to make the drive.
Love their cupcakes ordered the minis and appreciate their packing!
I ordered 15 red velvet cupcakes for my daughters birthday. They were somewhat dry and stale tasting. After paying just under $70.00 for 15 cupcakes I expected a much higher quality cupcake than what we received.I called the store the next morning and left a message about our experience. No return call received. Very disappointing birthday dessert for our daughter.
This review is solely based on their banana pudding. Its to die for!! They have regular one and a chocolate one- you can sample both if you ask! I only got the original one but its so good! It taste even better when you freeze it- you get less of the banana taste but its so creamy and delicious, its like eating frozen custard!!
Came here just to try the banana pudding, and have to say it was easily some of the best Ive had! Its a really cute bakery and all of the desserts looked amazing. I had the tres leches as well and it was simply amazing. If I lived closer Id probably be here everyday
Cupcakes used to be all the rage. Trophy was the best. Now they are focused on their business model and maximizing profits. Its still good, but it means smaller cupcakes and less frosting with higher prices.
The macaroons look like fake food, like something pretty that wouldnt taste good at all. Surprise, they taste awesome. Same with the cupcakes, and I dont usually like cupcakes. Theyre normally too sweet for me. If youre like me and not a fan of cupcakes, go for the Lemon pie or the red velvet. You wont regret it. The service is amazing, its clean and child friendly, the coffee tastes good, need I say more?
Beautiful cupcakes that are overrated when it comes to taste. If you arent a frosting kind of person, its not worth the cost of this beauty queen pastry. Definitely a try it once and take a photo with it to preserve the moment kind of thing. Its also a bit unsettling that the cupcakes are displayed in a way that exposes them to air and potentially someones well angled sneeze.
I love this little cupcake/macaron booth because... LOOK AT THIS THING! Sparkly swirly celestial goodness. I know its not the best picture, but how could I postpone putting it in my mouth any longer?! The macaron had such balanced flavoring, and the perfect balance of chewiness and crisp. Ugh. Delicious. And those freaking cupcakes are ridiculously addictive. They are pricey, yes, but well worth the splurge. Dont you deserve to treat yourself to something truly magical now and then?
It was a bit ignorant of me to assume that they had more pudding that wasnt just banana. I went for some pudding with friends, but didnt know it was all banana infused. I really dont like bananas, so dont make the same mistake I did. However I did get the red velvet cheese cake, which was damn delectable.
Always perfect
We had a remarkably bad experience with Trophy Cupcakes. We’ve been customers since we started taking our daughter there on daily walks in 2008.We showed up at 10:50 to pick up an order that was marked for 10:00. I said “Hello...?’ and was met with an angry and snarky, “I’m not open yet!” I politely explain our order was marked for 10:00. “Well I’m not done with my checklist yet ! What is your name? ” No smile, just a loudly broadcast contempt. With nothing but robotic coldness I was handed our order of nearly $100 of cupcakes and Macaroons. As I went to leave juggling two boxes, I asked if Kayla could help by letting me out the door. “As I said, I still have to do my checklist” After I asked a second time, she let me out.How did the cupcakes taste? I can’t remember. The customer service was so bitter that that is what lingers in our memory long after the frosting was gone.
Do not bring your kids! I was severely cut by glass that employees broke here and the manager didnt even care! And reading all of these reviews, Im far from the only person whos noticed these people have very poor people skills.I came to look at cupcakes on a slow day, no one even spoke to me but I didnt really mind. As I left, I put my hand on the handrail going down the stairs to the west exit and it was covered in tiny shards of shattered glass! All down the handrail, all over the stairs. My hand was bleeding. I had to go stick my head into the office area to find someone and tell them what happened. They didnt even get up, and pointed me toward the napkins to stop the bleeding. I asked why on earth their handrail was covered with glass and they said they broke a panel on the bar the day before, but they didnt think it scattered so far. No one said they were sorry at any point.I even emailed the manager the next day, this was a highly dangerous thing for children or adults! She never even emailed me back. I gave her several months to do it. I guess they though admitting it in print might be evidence it really happened?? And they care more about some legal strategy than human concern for a customer? Who knows. If she reads this and wants to offer an apology now, late is better than never, but I want the public to know what happened now. Cutting a customer with glass you didnt properly clean up, and then acting like its no big deal is terrible customer service in my book. Not even the best cupcakes are worth this.
We love this spot! Great place to come for a special treat with our toddler. Yummy, beautiful cupcakes. A bit spendy but definitely worth the occasional splurge!
Tried to get cupcakes from this location through Doordash. They cancelled our order, citing they were closed. When they were listed as Open both online and the hours given over the phone. We ordered well before the closing hours and this is highly disappointing. This is the second time this has happened. Will not be buying anything from Trophy Cupcakes again.
Great cupcakes! Everybody at the airport tried taking them from us. Should have bought a dozen to sell.
Cute branding. Super nice owner. Delicious and unique treats. Superb ingredients. Only had an issue once with the UV shop but it was resolved immediately by the owner. 🤤🦄
Beautiful cupcakes that taste amazing. All of the flavors were great.
Cupcakes are good, but small & ridiculously expensive - youll spend over $50 for a dozen without some sort of coupon. on top of the terrible prices you will also have very few options to select from - they only make coconut on certain days etc. if you try to order in advance for pickup, good luck. apparently they need @ least 48 hours to fulfill an order for a dozen. not quite sure how theyre still in business.
Highly recommend Trophy Cupcake, especially if you like a lot of frosting on your cupcake. Nice clean store with friendly employees. Loved the variety.
Not a cupcake fan but these were fancy and went over well.
Clean and cute shop with friendly staff. Cupcakes look great. Cake is a little dry for my preference and they are on the expensive side for the basic flavors and designs they offer.
Never go there again...have told so many clients about them....chick behind the counter lacks customer service...and they dont take cash...go across the street to QFC where they have a great selection...and great customer service...also ..I give them no stars..but you must select 1 to post...
Great cupcakes of course, but the real star is their hot chocolate. Best in the city! Ask for a homemade marshmallow.
Love their cupcakes! I really enjoy their chocolate/pretzel cupcake. It is a great mix of sweet and salty. Great location in the wallingford neighborhood
I had the chocolate cupcake with vanilla frosting. It was very moist with the perfect amount of sweetness. I enjoyed every bite. Theres even a party room for birthdays and events!
Nice variety of flavors, and they had several vegan items too. I loved the frosting on the chocolate cupcake with vanilla frosting, my companion didnt like it as much.
Clean, friendly service. No cash sales. Great cupcakes.
Ive been a fan of Trophy Cupcakes since its early beginnings here in Seattle. Im not a fan of poor customer service. Please make sure to work on your interpersonal skills it will go a long way with your business and life.
Trophy cupcakes is my favorite place to go for a sweet treat. The blueberry is my favorite. I love playful decor and atmosphere makes their stores a fun place to be.
Pricey cupcakes, but delicious treat. Service can be curt, but worth it for the delicious buttercream. Check the website for the daily flavors - PB&J is my favorite
Seattles delicious cupcakes. Decent coffee too. Parking available as part of Wallingford center and street.
Party in my mouth! Dang good cupcakes.
Cupcakes here are great, Im addicted to the chocolate vanilla but they have all kinds of crazy flavors.
Great venue for a baby shower! The cupcakes are a bit sweeter than I like, but still very tasty.
Decadence.....so bad for your health.....so good for your taste buds....about $3-4 per cup cake but truly worth it. Red Velvet....hmmmm ....
The cupcakes are good, but they do a poor job communicating what days they are open. Be weary of making special trips of long distances without calling first.
Delicious rich cupcakes!
Too much frosting, not enough cake
My daughter used to love this place however for her birthday you guys really let her down and treated her quite harshly but its all good because it saves me quite a bit cash and made my daughter want to show your rude employees if there still working there how cupcakes should be done and how a paying client should be treated and how you can help a customer not make them shy away from your business !!!!so thanks
A little too sweet for me but enjoy their cupcakes from time to time, always soft and moist!
The cupcakes here are so moist and delicious! This is a place we get our cupcakes for special occasions. I wish they would open one in the Kent/Des Moines like in downtown Des Moines.
Love it!would drive a car trip of five hours for these babies!
I was in Pacific Place and Walked by had the Chocolate cupcake with Chocolate icing WAS AMAZING, the girl at counter was super friendly :) Cant wait to go back!
Always make a great latte. Pastries are excellent.
I had a coconut cupcake and I couldn’t believe it was stale! 😢
Im giving this 2 star review not for flavor but for service. In my job I am responsible for planning the annual meeting of my peers in the Seattle/Eastside area. A year ago I wanted to give a Trophy Cupcake to every participant (approximately 70 people) at the meeting so I contacted Trophy by email and by phone on multiple occasions as did a representative from the kitchen at the Meydenbauer Center. None of our attempts were responded to...at all. I eventually had to abandon the idea of giving a cupcake to everyone and went without a parting gift that year. I was quite upset by the total lack of response. But Im a huge fan of the quality of their product so this year I tried again to contact them to have cupcakes delivered to my meeting. Again, my multiple voicemail messages have gone without a response. So over the weekend I went to the Wallingford store front to place my order. At this point Im upset again because I feel like Im having to work really hard to bring business their way and to get their product to my meeting and in front of dozens of local Seattelites. At the store I was told they dont take large orders in person and was referred to their voicemail or website. After I explained my story to the helper she apologized profusely for the way I was being treated and promised me that someone would call me Monday and take my order. Its now Tuesday afternoon and I have heard NOTHING from Trophy. At this point I am feeling distinctly like Trophy Cupcakes feels my business isnt worth having and that makes me sad. I am really shocked at the total lack of response to any of my emails or messages. Although I really enjoy their product, I feel so passionately about the dis-service Ive received there that I have decided I will not be visiting them again and Ive given my business for this meeting to another local cupcake bakery. In my company great customer service and strong relationships are at the heart of our business model and our success. It really strikes a chord with me to have been treated so inconsequentially.UPDATE: I think its only fair to share an update to my review of Trophy Cupcakes. A few days after my visit to the store and posting my original review I received a call from Mylie at Trophy. She was very apologetic about all that had happened as I told her my story. She offered many apologies. Then a few days after that she called me again and made an amazing offer in an effort to make things right. I took the day to think about everything that had transpired and ultimately decided to give Trophy another opportunity. I am really impressed at the level of ownership that theyve taken in what went wrong and at their efforts to make it right. I had a few special requests to go with my order, which she happily accepted. So they will be bringing cupcakes to my meeting next week. Ill post an update after that assuming it all goes well!
Moist and not too sweet! Unique and fun monthly flavors like Pina Colada and Margaritas (With Tequila frosting even!)
Super delicious cupcakes!! Lots of variety and friendly staff!! We will come back
Price is what the other cupcake shops Ive been to charge $3+. Fun flavors, very tasty. Have gone a couple of times for birthday treats for myself and boyfriend.
Trophy Cupcakes is the main competitor to Cupcake Royale in Seattle, and it has its own peculiarities. They also pile on the icing, but its on a moister cake that tends to work better with their frosting. I do cut off abotu half the frosting, but I can eat a whole cupcake with glee once the topping is reduced. And Ill gladly return for more. However, their table setup isnt as friendly for patrons as the average Cupcake Royale. Im more likely to pick up some cupcakes and go elsewhere.
Wonderful service and very tasty cupcakes ...try the almond joy!
Great choice for specialty cake decorations and excellent cupcakes!
I will admit, they are really good cupcakes, but as much hype as I heard, I was expecting more, and that probably is why I rated it a little lower.
They are right up there with Cupcake Royale. They are the best.
Cupcakes were OK but maybe a little too much sugar compared to other boutique dessert places.
Cupcake was a little dry, though it could have been a bad egg. I still like this cupcake joint however
Always a special treat
Theyre, er, cupcakes. For like $2.50 apiece. I dont get it.
So many flavors!! Ahhh.
Fantastic cupcakes with a lot of variety
Just dont over do it!
Always worth a stop by.
Get the salted carmel cupcake!
