I recently bought a truck from Rick Ball Ford in Sedalia. The truck is older but the staff gave the sale the full attention youd expect out of a new vehicle purchase. The experience was the best Ive had from any dealership Ive bought from in the past. Corey and Chris made the purchase nice and easy. I will definitely shop Rick Ball Ford again in the future.

I bought a 2011 Escape from here on March 12, 2011. It’s the only vehicle I have ever paid cash for. Took my car for an oil change, a brake part and new wipers. As soon as I left my wrench light came on.The engine went into limp drive. I was able to pull over. I turned off the engine, then turned it back on. The light was gone. I called the service department and his advice was to keep driving it unless the light came on again. REALLY??? So my husband has had 2 transplants. We were supposed to go to StL in a couple weeks for his check up. I’m going to have to cancel because can you imagine if it dies this again on I 70?? Major accident could happen. I’ve always had my service done there but I’m done. I expect good car advice just like I would if I went to the doctor. Escape 2011’s are notorious for the defective engine throttle going out. Instead of a recall, they extended the warranty 10 years/150,00 miles. I have 68,000. So now I’m going to have to try to get somewhere without it going into “limping mode” and causing a serious accident. Too bad I’m responsible for diagnostic tests and part. ( Maybe Ford should stand behind their products) We are older and take care of our things. So very disappointed with the very unsafe advice I was given.

NEVER BUY FROM RICK BALL!They promise you whatever and then as soon as you ask for what you were promised they double back and don’t follow through. I put a deposit on a truck that I was promised was 100% refundable and when I went to get it back after negotiations fell through they refused to honor their promise. Never trust their word and always get everything in writing but do yourself a favor and go anywhere else. You’ll save yourself some money and headache.Edit: thanks for the reply but I’d like to correct you on a few things you claim to have done. 1-never did your salesman stress that there was a non-refundable deposit to hold the truck. I understand the deposit system, but ensure that it is understood by your customer that it is non-refundable beforehand. Had I know it wasn’t refundable I would not have agreed to put the hold on the truck. 2- you guys had that same truck I wanted in stock and it was the truck I originally came to see that day, but you guys would not budge on the price or even work with me to negotiate any price difference, so if that is working to the fullest of your capacity to make a deal, that is pretty sad. And 3- you never did meet my expectations I had for that day. Your salesman had said that I qualified for credit through your banks but those prices were astronomically higher than the prices I had set forth before I began negotiations so to claim that you met my expectations is a false claim. And as far as transparency goes, there was little transparency between the deposit and the credit that to claim to be completely transparent is also a false claim.I stand by my word and I am still very disappointed in the quality of service given to me by the members of Rick Ball. If everything was laid out in paperwork beforehand I could have seen all your terms then I would have no grounds to be upset but there were none given.

Went in on Monday to look at 2021 f250s and they had one I liked. The company I work for has a deal with Ford so we get a discount. Its called the X-plan. When I asked the lady that was helping me which was really nice if they excepted it she went and got sales manager. He came over and said they would not except it and that no ford dealer would on a f250 right now. Which is a lie cause Harrisonville and Columbia said they would accept the discount. So I asked him how much he would take off the price and he said none cause other dealers are offering him 2000 over list price to get it. I tried to support local bussiness but the sales manager would not even begin to deal.

Dont buy the extra warranty from them completele rip off. Read it carefully. We bought 2015 from them with only 46000 miles on it. The warranty was only good for 19000 after being told it was good too 112000 miles on the car. The cost of the warranty was 2999.00 They completele rip us off.

Took in for an oil change like usual, got the good package. Wasnt greeted very well, the hot cocoa machine is gone. But they did finish the service in about 30 min, but they didnt vacuum or wash the truck and actually threw some of my stuff that was in the passenger side on the dash. Overall, it has been much better experience in the past!

If youve ever had a bad car buying experience, youll be able to relate to some of what happened on Saturday. We went with an friend to Rick Ball Ford Sedalia with the intention of buy a Ford Edge. They were pre-approved with their bank, had discussed trade-in estimated value with the sales person, their loan officer had called ^ the dealer ahead of time to make arrangements regarding payment, etc.The sales person even texted to confirm the appointment. They test drove the suv, made a counter offer {as anyone knows is the way the game is played} & they came back with a solid No, we could even SEE the manager shaking his head. Our friend was willing to accept the offer if they would do an oil change {since the display showed it needed it}. The dealership then wanted to know how much was left on the existing loan & said they couldnt make the deal since they had no guarantee they would get the title. And by this time, the bank was closed so there was no one to call to confirm. We walked out with our friend with no deal.Ive bought a fair number of cars and never seen or been treated with such disregard. Looking back, it makes sense though.After some back & forth with the loan officer on Monday, our friend found out that it was the dealerships finance department that said our friend could write a check for the difference between the price and trade offer AND the bank even offered to have them write the check for the FULL amount but the dealership said no, it was fine. Granted, if it comes down to he said/she said, Ive worked with Sharelle at Community First Credit Union before & she is THE most conscientious banker Ive ever had the pleasure of working with so I knew something just wasnt right.I then emailed the owner, Ryan Ball. After receiving his reply, it made more sense than ever on how they treated us! They thought we were scamming them, we had all the red flags from being out of state and wanting to write a check {there was no mention of demanding a cashiers check, even during the convos on Saturday, in person} and Ryan was the one the manager called and got the final No from.This is not the complete story, Ive merely shortened it & tried to give you the highlights, but, to get the full effect, I thought Id literally copy & paste the reply from Mr. Ryan Ball himself. For the record, the employees involved were Zana in the finance department, Savannah, sales person, and Chris Boulais, weekend manager.Thoughts go through my mind as I know they are a big time Shelby Mustang dealership & the sales person even told us so, so I know that they make out of state deals all the time. Anyway, in the long run, Ive said what I had to say to him. Now its the principal of the matter and letting others be aware that if you shop there, you too could be mistaken as a SCAM artist so Buyer Beware!Here is the email from Mr. Ryan Ball, in part:I think the biggest thing is our rules on how we handle out of state customers. We have warnings coming in every week from our Missouri Automobile Dealers Association about scams that we have to look out for. This scenario brought up a lot of red flags for everything we have been trained for. This is almost a impossible deal to do on a Saturday unless we had done lots of work ahead of time. We have had situations like this that turned out really bad for us and after that happens you have to learn and be even more cautious than before. I understand wanting to go through your trusted credit union but, if it were me I would have just financed with us Saturday and got the car bought then when you got your first payment you could have refinanced with your credit union. That would have made that situation good for both of us. We could have used the bank we are familiar with and known we would have no problems with funding. {The google reviews would say differently.} I would have not given 1 star on this review but you had to give it a star in order to post.

Buyer Beware the most untruthful dealership I’ve Ever dealt with!! Purchased a 2017 Ram truck sight unseen as I live 1,300 miles from dealership. Asked the salesman multiple times any dings, chips or scratches. Was told like brand new. Told him I don’t want any surprises he said don’t worry like new. Paid 825.00 to have it delivered. Was sick when I saw it on the truck!!! Wheels curbed and hardly any paint left on rocker panels. Thousands of chips on bottom and some up the door both sides.! When called dealership general manager said that’s how vehicles are around there are normal wear and treat. It was one of the best trucks on lot. Told him we wouldn’t have purchased if we’d of been told the truth. He said if he knew what kind of ppl we were they wouldn’t have sold to us. Yes they’d take it back.. would have cost us 1,700 trucking fees and would lose our 1,800 taxes we paid. So we paid 300.00 for a key, 300.00 to get wheels fixed, and 1,500 to get it painted. So all I can do is warn you stay away as far as you can from this unscrupulous dealership! We would have been money ahead and a lot less stress if we’d never have heard of Rick Ball Ford!

Wanted to share a Big Thanks to the Service Department at Rick Ball Ford Lincoln. Was passing through Sedalia on 14 Oct 2019 heading back to Illinois when my truck began to act up. Stopped in and they diagnosed and repair my truck within 2 hrs. The customer service was absolutely perfect and they even let us bring out 10 month old Labrador Retrieve Mix into the customer waiting room. Again big thanks to all the helped and if your are in Sedalia and having issues with your vehicle I would differently recommend the Service Department at Rick Ball Ford Lincoln.

Made the deal, Signed all the papers,drove the truck home. I went back two days later to give them the tittle for my trade and they informed me that they would not honor the contract Told me my payment would be $100 more a month than what the contract said, for the first 36 months than $200 a month for the last 48 months. So I gave them their truck back and left in my trade. Went and bought a nissan got a much better truck for less money

I brought my car to the ford mechanic service for just an inspection. The mechanic let me know the car had a leak and I requested to have the leak fixed. They told me the cost to fix the leak would be $232.99. When I picked up my vehicle, I noticed the engine light was on. Which it has never been on before. I immediately let the service receptionist know. She let me know the mechanic possibly forgot to disable the code for the sensor after he finished working on the car. The next day, I received a call from the receptionist that the issue was due to a sensor going out and it would cost $136.00 to fix. I let her know my car has not had the engine light on ever .I took my car there for one thing and they damaged the sensor and now they are charging me to fix it.Also, I noticed the receipt shows the parts cost $45.99 and the labor cost was $187.00 which is very outrages. Think twice before bringing your car to Ford in Sedalia for their mechanic services. I suggest taking pictures before leaving your car there.

I took my 2002 ford explorer to Rick balls service, due to check engine light, I could tell I had misfires. They hooked it up, found that cylinder 7 was misfiring, changed out the coil. Then they proceeded to give me a receipt that said, found possible misfires on 5 and 8, and said at this moment no misfires are shown. I paid 244 dollars for the one coil, drove off the lot, and immediately the check engine light turns on and my vehicle is misfiring 10 times worse than it did before taking it to ford. The time they gave me my vehicle was at 5 PM, so I am assuming the tech decided to do nothing more with my vehicle, wanted to go home and knew he left me with a bad situation. When I called to explain how I was left, all I got from Bob was, sorry sir anytime you change out a coil all other coils go bad, like it is some kind of virus to change a coil. Needless to say, I will not be buying any vehicles or have service done at Rick Balls ford ever again. My dad is looking to buy a new ford truck, I am advising him to look alsewhere to purchase.After buying 8 coil packs for 30 bucks, I begin to replace coil packs, and sure enough I see there is oil in the spark plug well. So I pull the coil they replaced and, yep oil in that well too. So I have a possible head gasket seal leak, which is swelling the coil packs. The mechanics at rock ball ford decided not to let me know about this, replacing one coil pack, full well knowing it would swell and misfire again soon. No more rick ball service for me.

Got my F150 truck fixed yesterday which went good the service was fast and everything seems to be back to normal. I will only give a 3 due to after the service was complete i was supposed to get a complimentary car wash and that did not happen. There is no way you can run a car through a car wash and it still has dirt on it. Especially on the windshield. When i called the service dept back all they said was that they ran it through the car wash....yeah right. It rained that night and it was cleaner after the rain then when Ford gave it back to me.

My fiancee bought a Mercury Mountaineer for $10,000.00 cash. Also brought the extended warranty bumper to bumper insurance.Almost immediately noticed the transmission was problematic, paid $2000.00 towards a transmission replacement with the insurance. Within 4 months that transmission went out. Hes stuck with a $12,000.00 junk Mountaineer now, because his truck is 100 miles over the warranty limit.(thats one trip to work and back). Buyer beware, lemons arent just for lemonade at Rick Ball.

I can only give you one star. I cannot believe you charge $99 an hour for service. Thats about twice as high as it should be. I needed my starter replaced and you supposedly did a12 point inspection along with the repair. If my battery was inspected I want to know why the battery was not latched down when I picked up my vehicle. Youd think that would have been take care of for that sort of money.

Went there because I had an engine light. They said that it was a #7 injector and they said they fixed it. I also had an oil change. Next day it came back on. Took it back and left it over night. I called back about 20 min later to ask about a courtesy car and they said they had them all out. This time they said that the authorized diesel repair man is working on it. They put in a new injector this time. Warranty insurance played for it all. Y didnt they put in the new injector the first time. Guess the Authorized Diesel Repair man wasnt there. Dont know, may have been out.

Got a used truck from these guys, They told me there machanic said it was in great condition . With in a month the front brakes started sticking and then the transmission started acting up and then the motor started back firing . No help at all, pay us and we will fix it and then trade you . Alot of headache and lost alot of money . Never again .NO PROBLEM was fixed ! I fixed it my self . These guys only wanted more money to fix anything .

When I first moved to Sedalia I tried a bunch of different service departments and Rick Ball truly was the fastest and their customer service is awesome. I had a raddle under my truck and I took it to three different places before I brought it to Rick Ball, and none of those places could find it. I described it to Rick Ball and Bob and Chris at Rick Ball took care of me and they fixed it in an hour.

We are extremely satisfied with this dealership. We could not find exactly what we were looking for nearby so we decided to travel out of state to look for a truck. We negotiated a deal with a dealership in Illinois, among others. We spent a lot of time working on this deal because we were coming from another state. When we got there, the salesman had completely misrepresented the condition of the truck. We were hugely disappointed and began our search minutes after we left the dealership. By the next day, we had found one at Rick Ball Ford and began negotiations. The salesman and sales manager were very easy to deal with. We had done extensive research on these vehicles and knew where we should be for price. In my opinion, they exceeded our expectations on that. My mechanic suggested this particular truck and even had the same truck himself. When I brought it to him the next day after we purchased it he could not believe the price that we had paid. His exact words were You stole it. I asked specific questions since we were traveling for hours to get the truck and again, they exceeded my expectations. This was a used vehicle but it might as well have been brand new. The price was great, the service was spectacular, and the staff was fantastic. They even washed my vehicle that we drove down there so we could have a clean drive home since we were not trading it in. I worked for a car dealership for four years myself working through college and do not like purchasing cars or dealing on them but this was a piece of cake. I would travel 4 hours to buy a vehicle from them and then some in a heartbeat again. Cant say enough about their staff and the way they handled themselves. Very very happy with our purchase. Love my new truck!!!

My husband and I drove for a little over 3 hours (one-way) to Rick Ball Ford. I can honestly say we will drive back and refer our friends and family due to the amazing customer service Chris and Brian showed us. We had a few things we wanted changed and needed fixed, and without hesitation Chris moved mountains to make it work. To us, this shows true appreciation for our business and the start of a great relationship. We can count on them to handle any of our needs! I was only there to pick up parts for my fiance, but I must say felt weird pulling into a ford dealership when I drive a chevy car that isnt even a year old... a little awkward but once I opened the door a very nice you g man greeted me and took me straight to where I needed to go and it was nothing but good ppl from there !

Took car in recently for an issue with my a/c. I was told no more than 24 hours. I finally got my car back on the 5th day. They did give me a loaner during that time. Once I got my car back the a/c was fixed but the windshield wipers were put back on wrong, the dash and glove box was not installed correctly, several gouges and scratches on the interior that were not there before and windows were left down while someone mowed and there was grass all over my back seat. I wont be returning to Rick Ball Ford. This isnt the first unsatisfactory experience with them but thought after several years I would give them another chance.

I wouldnt even give them a * but its the only way I could write a review.I would NOT buy from ever again!!! Supposed to had full service done when I received my Can-Am. Long story short and NOT even a 1,000 miles later... I decided to change oil (which was extremely low. Hardly had any in it. Black!!!), brake fluid was almost gone, brake pads are already bad, parking break has had trouble (which is a easy fix but thats not the point) catching since day one. Not to mention it makes a loud roaring noise when you put it in reverse, as youre backing up. It done that since day one as well.EITHER SOMEONE DIDNT DO THEIR JOB OR I WAS LIED TO!!! Either way, they shouldve done a full point inspection before leaving the lot and they ABSOLUTELY didnt.
