Great place for groceries. Typical grocery store. If youre looking for food, its here. Anything you need to buy food related, they have. The aisles are well organized and clean. The bakery and meat sections are clean and tidy. The restrooms are not the cleanest though. Overall, a good place to grab whatever food or snack you need. If youre looking for a clean bathroom, its not here.
Great grocery store, had everything we needed. Very friendly staff at the sushi counter that helped us choose the most delicious sushi! Thank you! YUM!
Ron and Sandra are the best! So nice. Thank you for welcoming us to Sedona😊💕
Had everything we needed to replenish our supplies, was pretty busy each time we were there, and that was just about every day!Like most businesses Nowadays I think they had a shortage of workers, so the check out lines were just as busy as the market itself!!But all the employees were very pleasant, and hard working, self checkout lines, any delays with the machines, they were right there to fix and keep it moving along.Prices are slightly higher than the average, but thats about normal when dealing with smaller towns. As always remember...Be safe, have fun, make memories,✌
This is what I wrote a few weeks ago: Absolutely the most obnoxious and time consuming self-checkout possible. Everywhere else is much faster. I wont shop there anymore until that process is modernized. Please place 2 hours of your day in the bagging area, or go somewhere else. OK, bye.And holy cow! I had to go there again and, THEY FIXED IT! YAAAAY!
Visiting a friend in Sedona and went shopping at Safeway. I was really impressed by the bakery. It all looked delicious. The deli department had a nice selection as well. They could improve by opening more check out lanes
Good place, but we bought expensive meat, and it was pre freezed, so at the BBQ was a shame... dont buy meat there, is junk... otherwise, the market has good food.
Generally all around good experience they have everything that I need when I go there.Though this particular visit at this particular location I was followed like I was gonna steal or something? I was watched closely all the way til I paid for my items. It felt unwelcome. as Im a good human I will be shopping at bashas from now on where Im met with more care and value as a good customer.
Very nice and clean store. Food is reasonably priced for the area. ⭐ 💵 Inside. Bathroom had two stalls.
Nice. gourmet ingredients. need more west coast IPA beers. busy on a saturday night but line moves fast. i love that they allow buying alcohol in the self checkouts, unlike some other puritanical states.no lines at the big fancy powerball vending machine.
This is one nice grocery store, but a little out of my price range. Ill have to admit, their products are as good as you can get, just dont forget your check book, because the aint cheep.
Great wine selection and besides that an obvious place to gather your grocery necessities. Decent organic produce section too.
Worst barista Ive dealt with at Safeway. Glenda is a very passive aggressive person. Will shop elsewhere.
Great place to stop for the stuff you might need or may have forgot. We stopped into the Starbucks as well as picking up a few things for meals. As it turned out when we were here the mosquitoes in the area were a nuisance and Safeway was one of the few places that had repellent in stock.
Just stopped for a few things Saw the 5 dollar Friday deals so I purchased more then I planned. Great bakery and meat department. Its all very good
They have a great selection of items here. The wing bar is awesome!!!
Nice clean store, helpful employees. Pretty good selection for a smaller grocery store. Prices are a little higher, but it is Sedona.
I love this Safeway. Always great prices on organic berries. Gracious staff even when they’re short handed. Thanks to Tom for choosing a sweet watermelon for me!
Found plastic in my Mac n’ Cheese from the hot deli counter. That’s just nasty. They also don’t change their gloves from one counter to the other and don’t wash the serving utensils. The utensil that was used on my food was crusted over and pulled from some container sitting at the other end of the case.
Nice supermarket has everything you need and sells wine too.
The store was food. They had pretty boxes that taste yummy. Im so happy!
Lots of pre-cooked and ready to serve foods for visitors that dont want to cook from scratch
Ive been here to shop at least three times (Im visiting from NYC) and it has been nothing but great customer service and a wide variety of items each and every time. Great prices and a very clean store as well.
Safeway always good for a sandwich premade for those days I need a good lunch.
The store is nice put 5he public mens room was disgusting. I cant believe they let it get that way.
Well stocked, good variety of prepared and ready to go foods. Good sales prices and full staff plus self checkout allow for quick in and out.
Clean store and good prices. Visiting from out of town.
Love their custolm deli sandwiches!
Found everything we needed! Helpful self check out attendant.
If you need to do some grocery shopping for everyday things at everyday prices, this is your spot in Sedona. Yeah, theres Bashas, Whole Foods, and Natural Grocers—which all serve certain purposes—but for the everyday items at the right price head to Safeway. It is clean and stocked and the employees are kind!
Filled with tourists, takes forever to get one item. I give them 3 stars for the staff. Open early for locals and Ill bump it to 4
Waited 20 plus minutes to check out. Two checking out customers. Asked at customer service for another Cherokee due to long wait time. No response! Not returning to this store.
Friendly staff. Need to get the kinks out of the ordering system. But not a bad joint!
I always find Safeways expensive, but the staff is very friendly here. I like it 👌!
This is my primary grocery provider. The staff is friendly and selection of foods good for my taste. My only negative is their tendency to put freestanding product displays in the aisles making it very difficult to pass when the store is busy.
We have been to this Safeway twice. The first time, last Friday my wife bought a chicken from the deli was overcooked so badly as to be inedible. Out of ice. Checkout line went to the back of the store...two cashiers working. I went in on Monday, June 14. No ice available, very little dairy and low to out on lots of items. Two long lines to the back of the store, only one cashier working. The only reason why I gave 2 stars is the help on hand was handling it well. But we wont be back.
Stopped in to get some items on the grocery list. This place had it all. Friendly staff. Competitive prices for the area.
Quick and easy to navigate. Got my shopping done very quickly
Nice selection good sraff
Love Safeway. Great deli and bakery.
While visiting Sedona, ran by Safeway and this location lives up to the Safeway expectations! Very helpful and friendly associates and clean, well-organized store.
Easy to get in and out. Great selection for grab and go lunch options. Full grocery store items with great deli.
Very busy. found what I needed and the check out girl was very nice.
Excellent option with outstanding views of the Red Rocks!
Three times...this will be the last time! They never have many of the things I need.
It was a good Safeway. It was very busy with limited workers. They have good prices on food and alcohol. (Cheaper than actual liquor store)
Love the fresh fruits and veggies!
I mean it is safeway....what else would you expect except not enough cashiers, items everywhere, not enough staff to help with the deli or anywhere for that matter. The bathroom was REALLY clean though. A delightful surprise for this bottom barrel corporation.
A good grocery store to get all you need during your stay away from home. One stop shop for a quick pick and check out. Ample parking and follows Covid-19 protocols. Friendly staff and good ambience.
Always pleasant worker bees!
Good grocery store reasonable priced and good variety of items for every day life!
Clean...stocked...well priced...polite
Easy access. Had everything we needed. Friendly staff.
This was a great place to shop while in Sedona! Friendly, helpful staff and plenty of inventory!
Friendly staff, good customer service, wide selection of foods and great produce and bakery. The bakery manager Raul and cake decorator Louise are great!!!
I love the discounts my Dad gets when I go with him.
In town visiting, Safeway had perfect sales for our grocery needs and so close to our resort. Saw hardly anything out, but the trained butcher was out to cut up a beef loin for us.
No fat milk off. Had to go down to Walmart in cottonwood.
Place had water, soda, beer and was able to make a boutonniere for me right away! If in Sedona, AZ and need to grab some essential items they got it!
Good selection of items as usual, each aisle is clearly signed so I know where items are just by scanning the signs quickly, and theres a fresh seafood counter as well as a fresh bakery. The bakery didnt have chocolate chip bagels nor jalapeno cheese rolls though (but my experience is that some Safeways have that while some others dont), but it did have a quick-sale aka cheap older breads which I ended up grabbing and it still tasted great. Self-checkout is available here and makes the process faster too.
Nice, clean location. I got a great water bottle here.
Decent store, good selection, fresh food and one very unpleasant produce employee who was very upset about having to restock packaged fresh herbs.
Nice grocery store.
I just wish they had, had nylons. But very nice people there. And nice bakery
Clean, well stocked,, Great check out service.
Out of stock on bacon and egg loss leaders. Self checkout of digital coupon items and clearance items did not go smoothly at the Sedona,AZ location.
Would have been a 4 but the first Wednesday of every month is seniors day
Very friendly & easy to find things. They do sell daily red rock passes here.
Some frontline workers and many customers didn’t wear masks. There are signs at the doors that masks are required. No enforcement that I know of in my many visits.Prices are lower than Bashas.Cashiers work really hard as our town is so flooded with tourists. They remain friendly under pressure.
Very nice stores, at most locations...
Usually disappointed in this store for various reasons, but one of the most important ones is is they cater to the tourists more than they cater to the 16000 locals who all shop here. Its a shame they dont have many basic ingredients to cook dishes because its a tourist Safeway. The locals who live here year after year day in and day out to me are more important than a tourist that comes to town for a few hours or a day or two and then forgets about it. The tourist should conform to this store that should prioritize the local community not the other way around.
Parking lot is a mess of in and out lanes. Checkout was slow with few lines open. Some good deals.
Nice! Wish they had them in MN! Friendly staff and nice clean store! Delicious bakery!
We were visiting from Frisco, TX and stopped in to pick up a few things. Everyone was very friendly especially the young man (Justin from Savannah, GA) that checked us out. Justin has a great attitude and we enjoyed talking with him. Good luck on all your journeys, you never know where God will lead you!
Looks like theyre remodeling. Everything is moved around.
Plesant grocery store, wife seems to like them a lot.
Safeway is always a best grocery store for all fresh Fruit, Vegetables, Dairy and so many. Love to purchase fresh things.
Safeway has big pieces of chicken for sale and they have really nice female cashiers
Has a Starbucks, located near the iconic teal McDonalds. When you see the teal M pull in and drive to the back. The restrooms are in the back behind the produce area to the right.
Nice employees! I think they could work on supply. Often it is difficult to find items on the shelves, especially on holiday weekends and weeks after.
Norma the Checkout lady is the definition of excellent service. So nice and helpful.
Best of Shopping Store
Rude staff who are terrible at their job. When it happened once I brushed it off but the next week it was the same story all over again. Getting yelled at about unposted “rules” in the checkout lane isn’t a good customer experience. And not just saying it once but then LECTURING me about it while I wait to get checked out. Haven’t seen anything remotely like this anywhere else ever. Appalling.I’d use self checkout but I won’t give money to a store that supports employees behaving this way. Bashas has 100% of my business now and would encourage you to do the same.
Its always busy and the isles are small. The store should look into expanding/renovating.
Not enough checkersSelf service busy
We stopped here for a few groceries & distilled water & found pool noodles @ 50 cents! Perfect to make a phone holder for our rental car! As we checked out, the cashier gave us a Safeway card so we got a cheaper price for some of the items we purchased. Thank you! We will be able to use that at other Safeway stores when we travel.
Great selectionsmall Kosher departmentThey also have Glacier water fill station, the one and only we found around.
Great staff n friendly.
Beautiful store with excellent produce section including organics. Very friendly staff
For a store with a customer base from most of the United States and under current circumstances, it still has a lot to choose from and helpful team members even with that base.
I work in the floral department and I absolutely love how kind the workers are and was surprised when I seen just how relaxing it can be working there.
Not crowded and well stocked. Prices are ok
Great place to shop!
Wow do not go to the deli section in this store, they have truly dropped their standard of quality, truly disgusting and i can not shop there any more i truly advise others to stay away
Kind of cramped. Cost. But its Sedona. The bums outside are interesting, so thats actually a plus. Nice deli.
Rude employees, not dressed properly. Shelves are empty, no one at customer service, looks like they are all forced to work. No one at bakery, meat department, deli. I was going to get milk noticed they were expiring that day. When I checked the back they had the one with longer date. Imagine most of people bought milk and the next day they expired. Buy your G.O before coming to Sedona. You can also stop in cottonwood fry’s, Walmart and food city. Wish they would bring a trader Joe’s or sprouts.
Masks are present. Store is clean and well stocked. And no sign of panic buying here. There was an abundance of TP and paper towels. If my fellow Austinites find out they will drive here and buy you out of paper products.Good store and better people.
