I love ocean state. It probably my favorite store at the moment.The only downside is that some items are hit or miss with stock (they cant control when they get stock, this isnt a knock against the store or staff). I just recently got a gazebos and two members of the staff went out of their way to help transfer it to our car for us, very helpful.

I go for the stuff I know I can get there after I see it in the newspaper flyers & its always at a great price. Im always surprised at how good the quality of the products are for the cheap amount of money you pay. Staff is always helpful & Im just always surprised at the things you can find when your not really looking for them. Good stuff, great pricing. Alot of bang for the buck & a smile on my face. Reminds me of building 19, I only wish that every store was as clean & looked as good as the one on North Main St, on the Pawtucket/North Providence line.

Great shopping for variety of items! My wife found some high quality knit shorts and I found some fancy honey from England at reasonable prices.

I got everything i needed on my way to the beach. Found everything really fast and was back on the road in minutes.

A chain of stores selling closeouts, overstocks, and a bunch of junk that couldnt sell anywhere else. They sell a lot of odd foods, but be very careful about expiration dates and whatnot. Some of it comes from overseas where they do not have the same FDA rules... That said, there are some pretty good deals there. You wont be disappointed if you dont expect too much!

Friendly and helpful employees. Employees have been nothing less than professional even when dealing with terrible customers (and Ive seen some real d*cks shop there). Store is usually well-stocked even during Covid-19. This place is great; best Job Lot location Ive visited by far.

Job Lot is always a place to find interesting and exciting Bargains. And now with their crazy deals its like getting stuff for free. You just cant go hog-wild, but its very easy to do that. Everything from bulbs for the garden to Kitchen Wares to Automotive anything else you could possibly need at a better price than anyone else could ever offer it. Their food section has all kinds of wonderful Gourmet tidbits too, I have to go back there today for something. Youll probably see me there

We had a terrible experience today at Ocean State Job Lot. We went to the seekonk location looking for a table and we bought a gazebo. When my husband loaded up the gazebo onto a dolly himself. On the way out the manager came asking if he loaded it himself. He said yes. And she yelled at him in front of other customers why he cant be using the dolly without permission and saying there are signs everywhere. The dolly was readily available to be used as a carriage. We did not see a single sign that stated we needed permission to grab the gazebo ourselves. My husband said sorry and he wont do it again. And the women continued to yell at him in the store going on and on the whole time we checked out. She stated the cashier called me thats how I found out you took the dolly. We were completed embarrassed and felt degraded while making a purchase. We understand there are rules which we werent aware of but this women took it way to far. This is our last purchase ever at this store.We will never go to Ocean State job lot again in our entire life and will continue to inform everyone we know of our terrible experience here.

Variety if good items that arent on super market shelves. I like the imported foods.

Its just like every other job lot; rotating import and discontinued food items at dirt cheap prices. You win some, you lose some when I comes to what you buy. Just never buy the lemons.

The staff is very accommodating. Product selection is impressive. The gentleman who was cleaning on the weekend was exceptional. Talk about dedication!

I go shopping here most the time for coffee, spices etc. I get the best deals on coffee. Its a hole lot cheaper them S&S or even Walmart. 42 Bostons Best Colombian Coffee pods r usually on sale for $10.00. U cant beat that price---ANYWHERE.

I always love to go into a job lot you never know what goodies you will find in there.They have some food items that are priced perfectly, like a big bag of pumpkin seeds for 2.00 or 3.00 where youd pay 5.00 other places. There were outdoor stuff, camping, pets, house etc. And nothing was overpriced.

I love Ocean State Job Lot! So why only 4 stars. Because its kind of hit or miss. When you hit, you hit big. When you miss well you miss. Not much more to say. I find the quality of their items is typically not the best but thats ok. How high quality does a citronella candle really need to be? It can always find seasonal stuff or some kind of brand of product I have never heard before. I go there all the time on my lunch break to get inexpensive supplies. Since Im skipping lunch I usually get a box of sour cream and apple caramel pretzels or banana flavored crackers. Yeah its not a flavor youd find in your average grocery store but this is Job Lot baby! Go walk around it and buy some stuff you didnt even know you needed.

Supper sales

Can get some good bargains. Lots of closeouts. Many stores are antiquated, although it appears the company is attempting to upgrade the older sites. The new locations are bigger and better mechandised .

Found the string of lights needed here ! Cant guarantee they still have them now . But try here 1st all the other stores on Rt 6 dont have anymore on their shelves .

Ocean State Job Lot- A great place to shop! Being from New England & living in Charlotte, NC, I so miss all the wonderful selections & pricing! Was traveling in the Boston/ Providence area & went to 2 of them! Nope, 3.. whos counting. They even had a great selection of Gluten Free & 1# Walnuts for $3.99! Lurabars for .60! Please open one in the Lake Norman/ Charlotte, NC area & beyond! This is a booming area! And you would do VERY WELL here!

Never have what I need and not willing to care

Is my go to store. Cheap and flexible. I buy all my stuff from garage to kitchen. If I compare the price with other store, it is way inexpensive. Nothing as compared to other stores. May be little better if the store would be clean.

My boyfriend and I visit Ocean State at least once a week to get a few staples here like bottled juice, European chocolate bars, wholegrain pasta, pasta sauce, canned beans, flour and often find funky, fun items we dont see other places.

The store is always clean the staff top notch always helpful and positive attitudes find the neatest stuff in stock

Seekonk store is a great place to inside shopping open

It has great deals and some different choices than larger places. My only issue is that it was messy on many shelves.

It was a nice place to find random food items and spices youve never heard of for a decent price. If your looking to try new things but dont want to have to much buyers remorse this is the place. The staff are a bit rude but maybe we just caught them on a bad day. Also check the items that you get especially for the food aisles. We did find a few of the items on sale in the food section where opened and placed back like it new. Or they were obviously opened and left there by someone who either half ate it or didnt like it.

They have name brand clothing at an incredible price. They carry a variety of everything at prices lower than most.

Discount store that may have what youre looking for and the price might be better than other discount stores. Fun place to browse for home treasures and gourmet food items.

In the same evening I went to Providence and Seekonk Job Lot. They were extremely helpful and kind. The manager in Seekonk was the most helpful and knowledgeable person. She bent over backwards to help us find an item that there was only one left and did all she could so that we could buy it. We really appreciated her health and felt so great when we left the store. We ended up purchasing $150 worth of donations to different charities with crazy deals. Its the best
