I was a little nervous about getting my tesla inspected since I know there are some special considerations about lifting them. They did a great job and seemed very comfortable doing an inspection. Recommend if you have an EV and need an inspection! Also very nice at the front desk.

My go to place for affordable oil changes and NYS inspections. They take or match competitor coupons. Always check prices and coupons on Mavis and Goodyear. Also check firestones website for coupons. They have 50% off oil changes for Covid front line workers. You can send those coupons to your phone. They always do a courtesy check which includes checking fluids, tire pressure, wipers, tires and brakes. They do not tell you you need things when you do not which happened to me at 2 different pep boys. I always drop car off and pick up when its done but they do have a waiting room with wifi, snack machine, coffee n TV.
What a bunch of conmen! I am a certified mechanic with over 20 years of experience.I bought in my Mercedes for a simple inspection. I could not believe the BS they told me.1. Needs spark plugs? I just installed double platinums 2 months ago?2. Wiper blades are weak? Only 2 months old?3. Horn doesnt work, um- turn the ignition on?Their quote was to the moon. Just lost my $37 dollars and all respect for the franchise.

Today I went there to get tires for my 2011 Corolla. I called ahead and the price I was given over the phone was the same price I paid when I got there, without any funny business or up-selling. Service was pretty fast and they had the best price/value compared to their competition. Id go back again.
Rudest managers I ever seen, refused to fix my car when it needed repairs to pass inspection and giving me runaround, one of them even went up to my face and was yelling at me. I went to Lake Grove instead and they fixed my car without any problems, even passed my inspection over there too.

There are very few car places that have received a positive review (from me) but I am happy to say that I will be adding Firestone to the list. I had a flat on Saturday and brought my car to Firestone on Sunday. I was told that there would be a wait of about an hour and a half which I understood. It was a Sunday and not many places are conducting business. I must say that I was pleasantly surprised at how short the wait actually was. Not only did they take me in quickly but they were honest and repaired my tire rather than trying to sell me a new one. They made suggestions regarding my other tires but did not ask me to make any purchases. I have experienced horrible customer service associated within the automobile industry so I am delighted to be able to write an optimistic review when it comes to the folks at the Firestone in Selden. If you are looking for a genuine team, head on down to Firestone.
Patrick and staff are extremely knowledgeable and courteous. They explained everything to me before they did the work and got me in and out in the time promised. Wanted to charge me 40$ to tell me what I already knew. You have an AC leak and its going to cost another $170 to figure out where the leak is. Without knowing where the leak was they had already diagnosed the supposedly defective parts and wanted over $1000.
Very courteous. Went in for an oil change and an engine check. The manager walked me through some things that required work but stressed that nothing was needed immediately except one of my tires. Luckily, he pointed out that I had a warranty on it. I authorized the work and was going to settle in for about a 5 hour wait (I didnt have a ride home). One of the mechanics ended up driving me home. I was so appreciative. It was definitely above and beyond. Highly recommend everyone there.

Even though the online appointment, made on Wednesday afternoon for Friday morning, did not arrive in their in-box until Friday morning I was still able to have my car fixed at the appointment time! The SELDEN location was also abiding to the COVID-19 Safety Guidelines for both themselves and their customers, so I was able to wait for the car to get fixed. Patrick was kind enough to let me know about the 6 months no interest if I opened a charge account to pay for the alignment and I was glad to do it. THANKS to ALL the Firestone Employees at the Selden location, I feel much safer in the car now :)
Get my State inspections done here every year. The only shop I have found that honors their appointments, and are always helpful with any requests. Theyre very military friendly, always giving vets a discount where they can.Knowledgeable and friendly staff every time I am here. Best shop in Selden.
Stay away from this Firestone, they are ripoff artists, and thats saying it nicely. I was told car needed a ton of work to pass inspection. Took car to dealer and paid only for inspection. When I asked the guys at dealer about all the other work Firestone said I needed they said we would not have passed your car if it needed any of the work Firestone said my car needed. Sad when people are dishonest.
I was concerned about my rear brakes. The representative clearly assured me he checked all 4 brakes and they were in pretty good condition. It will be sometime before I need to change them. In this day of scam for make extra money, I was elated to find he did not try to just make a sale. My vehicle drives and sounds better after the oil change. I asked if any discount existed, I knew it did cause I had a coupon on my phone and he readily applied a $10 discount. By the way, I really like the face lift/new decor in the store.
I wish I could give them 10 stars because their customer service was great and also the way they proficiently worked. I recommend this place to anyone whos having problems with their cars or just need a check up. I promise you, you won’t regret it!!!
Overall TERRIBLE experience. First time going here and definitely will be my last. First off, I made an 8am appointment and I called around 1pm to ask about how the car was doing since I figured this would be sufficient time. I was told that they had not even started working on my car yet. Secondly, my car was not ready to be picked up until 6pm. Whats the point in making an appointment if they will take 10 hours to have my car be ready for pickup? Next, the mechanic who rung me up was EXTREMELY rude when I asked questions about what had been done to my car. I was immediately told a price without him conversing with me about what was done to my car in those 10 hours or even showing me the already printed receipt with the mechanics notes. I had agreed with the mechanic in the morning for 2 new tires (4 if needed, I was told that I would be given a call if the other 2 tires needed to be replaced.. i did not receive a call), an oil change, and for them to check out my headlight that had moisture built up behind the lens. When I asked about the other 2 tires, i was told I dont know i didnt work on your car, but im going to assume that they obviously would have checked and replaced it if needed. Next, when i asked about my headlight I was told Again i dont know if they checked or not because i did not work on your car. but its not on the receipt so obviously they didnt. An attitude was given to me throughout the entire transaction. Although I do understand that he was not my mechanic, his attitude was not needed especially considering that the morning mechanic had specified to me that he would examine my headlight and the need for 4 new tires as previously mentioned and that someone would give me a call to discuss it before anything was done. Obviously there is very poor communication between the mechanics of this establishment. I am extremely disappointed in this establishment.

I would not bring my vehicle there ever again .I brought my company truck because it had a A/C leak .I know this because I was charging it for two years . They replace the evaporator coil and it would only work when I drive so I brought it back and they told me I need a new compressor which was odd because it was cold only when it was moving then they told me I need a new compressor . So they replaced the compressor and then I was parked all the Freon came shooting out of the front Of the truck . Now I have no AC at all . My company is not taking their trucks there anymore and Im not even going to take it back for the warrantee repair its not even worth it . I wish there was a way to give them no stars I shouldve looked at the reviews before I took my truck there. This is edit . A follow up since I posted this . my engine light went on after leaving fire stone the new mechanic I took it to told me all the problems I have now is from the work they did . They told me never to go back there half the bolts werent put back for the evaporator coil . They wont even work on my AC because they said its under warranty through fire stone but they said do not take it back there and for me to wait a year because its a fleet truck and fleet wont pay If its under warranty through fire stone . Thats how bad they are The company rather me wait without AC then take it back because they might cause more problems with the truck they are A bunch of hacks . I am feeling any positive report have to be fake. family member maybe friends
Ive gone to these guys a few times, mostly for inspections, almost exclusively on weekends. Im not a mechanic, but I do most of my own maintenance and know my way around a car. Theyve been honest with me and every time they suggested work needed to be done, it needed to be done, and they were happy to prove this to me before the work was done. Rates for getting work done are about average, not exorbitant, but not really a discount either. Theyre open on Sundays for inspections, but on a first come, first served basis, which is a plus for me.
Took a couple days to get the tire I needed but in the end got the job done Im happy!
On Wednesday July 31st I brought my car to Firestone in Selden at 9:35 a.m.. At 12:45 PM they still had not moved the car from their parking lot. When I went inside to ask them about my vehicle the 2 employees made me feel like I was the one who did not understand what they had told me. I was told the car would be done in a few hours I went back in a few hours and nobody had even looked at it... i was just there for an inspection... I mean really? Not very competent in time efficiency or customer relations. Ill never go back
Complete rip off artists. Went in for an alignment and inspection. They call me and tell me it needs a tie rod end, a new interior air filter, and there is a power steering leak so they cant pass it. I say dont do anything, ill pick it up. As Im on my way to get it they call again and ask if I still want the alignment. Why would you do an alignment on a car u say needs a tie rod end? They are a joke. Went to a real mechanic. Rod ends are good, no leaks, just some oil from a recent oil change. Alignment and inspection done for 80 bucks, new filter for 15. They wanted 400 for the job. Either complete incompetence or scam artists.
Went in for an oil change and an inspection, was given a list of repairs to meet inspection, extravagant charge to do it there, did them all myself, came back two weeks later, they managed to find something else that they wanted 500 to fix, I did it myself for 25, had to pay for the inspection, was told to come back next day no charge. Came back next day twice because they were too busy to even put me on the line the first time. When I finally came back the second time it took another two hours. Ate up three days of my time, wont be going back.
Ive been going to them for six years and theyve always been professional and honest. I was always used to having my own personal mechanic that I knew very well. This Firestone made a smooth transition.
The worst Firestone or automotive related place you can go to is this. Very rude, hateful discriminating front desk and Assustant manager i came across. They do not have the knowledge to align cars according to factiry given specs and mess up and even damaged cars if you read more reviews here about this place. It costed me a lot of headache and trouble to get my car repaired in right rear where they danaged and bend a trailing arm, control arm on my car and did not tell me ir anything. And later just denials and bad attitudes fir the lifetime warranty i had paid and they dont like knowledgeable educated customers at all. You know why ! because they cannot fool them. Dont go to this place . Honestly these people neither take responsibility nor try to admit or cirrect what they mess up.

Would give no star if possible..they are the master of bait and switch,,,,,My wife brought our car in for A/C repair, they stated after having the car for 2 hours(with an appointment made) that it just needed recharge, which my wife told them was great considering we thought it was something worse. Well I guess they thought that was their chance to up the bill, 2 hours later they called her to say there was excessive oil in the system and to repair that it would now cost $1583. Over 10xs the original price stated. I then called and was told they would not know exactly what was wrong till they pulled the whole system apart. I told them to just do the original recharge service and I would get a second opinion. Well that was 2 weeks ago and I guess I called their bluff. The A/C is working fine and I saved over $1400 by not letting them fool my wife.
My cars front tire was making a noise after hitting a pothole. It was 5:50pm when I stopped at the Selden Firestone. I wanted to make an appointment for the next morning to get it looked at as well as getting an inspection and oil change. To my surprise, Mark the service advisor offered to take my car for a test drive! He fixed the minor problem, did the inspection and the oil change that very same evening! This is the BEST service I have ever received! Mark and his mechanic saved the day!

Worst experience in my life with these people. They like to drive around in your car (with a unknown passenger and without permission), damage your car and say they have no clue what happened. Lost brakes one week after they put on new tire discs which according to them was needed because of the inspection. Never ever will I use these people.

I have visited multiple times with my receipt in hand attempting to get a signature for a traffic court ticket.I was told to come by another day multiple times until finally just being told they dont want to help.Do not come here if you ever need an extra 20 seconds of help.

I went there twice for oil change and thought theyre nice. The only problem was that I made an appointment for an oil change at 1PM. I took my car there on time but had to wait for 25 minutes before they began to service my car. It took a total of ~1hr, i.e., no advantage of online appointment compared to walk-in.
I brought my car to Firestone in Selden, NY. My car went in with no problems and came out with a leak from the power steering system. Air had become trapped within the power steering system due to a change of the reservoir and so I made the decision to bring it to Firestone. When I picked my car up that day, the store manager had given me the keys and told me that he had gotten the air out of the line by bleeding it. So I went on my merry way. However after that visit my car was leaking fluid from the bottom. I did not know where the leak was coming from, and assumed it was from the engine and ignored it, barely driving the car, due to being nervous of the costly repairs. However I started to noticed my powering steering fluid was always needing to be refilled quite often. As it would go below where the fluid level needed to be. Eventually concerned that this fluid was indeed power steering I brought it back to Firestone in Coram, a different location due to the Selden location being busy with only one mechanic on the schedule. I was told by Firestone in Coram that the hose was leaking and it looks as if it was ripped in 2 places. The mechanic told me that he would give me a call back to find out exactly what they did to the car. And then called me back to say that he had spoke with the service manager who told him it must have been something they did when they bled the line and that he would take care of the problem and directed me to call the Selden location, that the manager would be awaiting my call and should fix the problem. I made an appointment and they looked over the car.The Selden location is now saying that they did not touch the car or do work on the car. They are refusing to fix the car unless I pay the fee which is around $500 FOR the parts not including the hours of labor.I believe one of their mechanics made a mistake and got scared and they allowed me to go home with this problem. My car never had an issue until they touched it! This location is trying to take advantage of me because I am a woman! They assume I know nothing and therefore what they have done will not be discovered. I reached out to consumer affairs and spoke with a representative named Taffy who escalated my case to the supervisor Tonya, who left a message with her Boss Rich to contact me! Tonya also reached out to the area manager Brian Roe to help me. I was advised that if he did not help, my case would then be escalated to corporate! HOWEVER, Brian did not help! He was extremely insensitive and did not help at all. He called me and I explained my situation telling him that I had recorded calls and documents that I could give. He responded that he did not need any of it, only the recording of the Firestone Representatives at another location telling me that they had spoken to the selden location and selden had bled my line and it looks like while they were trying to get the line off it ripped in two spots right where you take it off! He asked me to send that only and I asked if he would like any other documents and if he could speak with the other Firestone location and he dismissed me. So right away I sent the RECORDINGS. As soon as I had sent the recording at 3:47pm, I got a call at 3:50pm from the manager bill at the Selden location telling me that he had spoke to the the district manager and he will not be helping me, so i need to pick up my car from their location. This indeed means that the district manager never even bothered to open my email first and listen and then investigate! Brian, the area manager did not dedicate more than 10 minutes of his time to help me ! Speaking to the store manager bill, it sounded as if he knew the district manager well, so he decided to just take Bills word instead of looking into it. I have written on other sites and will be blogging about my experience here! I will also be making a YouTube video Fraud with Firestone, and sharing my experience just as soon as my case is closed. Excellent service and price for service provided my normal Firestone was busy with appointments so I tried this one and I was glad I did as they were able to get me in and out in a timely manner good job guys
This place price gauged me on changing 2 front headlights. For literally 10 minutes of work they charged $93.39, including tax. Labor was 65% of a pre tax total price of $85.98. Even with a posted labor rate of$140.00 a hour which would come out to $23.33 for 10 minutes of labor. Do yourself a favor and stay away.
Got 4 new tires about a year ago, added road hazard, played off this time, 2 tires replaced, pro-rated and 1 nail in the tire

Service is horrible! They had my car for seven hours to change two tires. Theyre not knowledgeable when it comes to wheel and tire warranties. Even worse their inconsistent with pricing and fees and when questioned they have no explanation. The place is a rip off!

I TOLD THEM TO FAILL MY INSPECTION SO I COULD GET THE HELL OUT OF THAT SUCK PIT!!!! I TOLD THEM I WORKED IN MANY SHOPS IN MY LIFE, AND A AIRCRAFT MECHANIC BY TRADE. I WOULD BE TOTALY EMBARRASSED TO TELL SOMEONE 200.00 DOLLARS FOR A PART THAT COST 25.00 AND THEY PROBALY GET FOR 10 DOLLARS!!! BUT YET THEY TRYED TO JUSTIFY SAYING ITS LABOR INTENSIVE!!!! LMAO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! CHANGING THE ENGINE WOULD BE LABOR INTENSIVE!! LETS SEE..... AT BEST THE PART COST 25 DOLLERS..IF YOU DO ALL OF THEM . THATS 100 DOLLARS. THAT LEAVES 435 DOLLARS IN LABOR COST!! YOU NEVER PUT THE VALVE STEM CAPS ON MY NEW TIRES!! AND TELL YOUR SUPER GENIUS MECHANIC THAT WORKED ON MY TRUCK.... TAKE THE REAR TIRES OFF NEXT TIME YOU DO A SAFTY INSP!!!! If you want to get ripped off and have your car worse than it was before than youve come to the right place. Waited 3 hrs for an oil change they didnt do. They charged me $300+tax for new spark plugs installation...I now I have serious doubts they even did that. Avoid this place like the plague.

This place is horrible and the people they work there is like they dont care, I made an appointment for 10:30 for an oil change, it never got done, every time I called them the truck wasnt ready, at 4:30 I called them again and still wasnt ready, so I went pick up my truck, no apology no nothing, Im telling the guy how bad the service is and he looks at me like Im from another world, I would never use this place again, and this is the second time, I think the company should something about it, instead waisting people time.
