Milkshakes always seem WAY to watery. They put about 3/4 milk and the rest ice cream that always results in a watery shake… no one wants that. The staff is always friendly but that doesn’t make up for the fact of always getting our orders messed up. Please try and fix this issue.

Ice cream and shakes are always great. Employees are always friendly and polite. They seem to be a little short staffed though, as the guy behind the counter tonight was scrambling by himself trying to take care of everyone in line. I felt bad for him, but he kept calm and professional. Can’t blame him for the slow service, it’s managements fault. Should have more people working especially during the summer months.

My wife was craving ice cream, so we stopped into this Carvel for the first time. The staff were all super friendly and helpful! The soft serve was delicious also. It was an overall pleasant experience!

I’m sorry if I’m paying 5 dollars for a junior cup of ice cream it should be filled above the cup. The weasly looking guy with dark hair said that’s just how it is when I asked him why the ice cream stopped at the top of the cup. Rip off fake carvel.

My ice cream was rich and delicious, but it did seem that some of the ice creams in the cabinet could have been fresher or chorned differently to be smoother.

My family and I have been coming to Carvel in Selden for years. We have always had exceptional service and incredible food. Even during this crisis situation, Cheryl and her team have been AMAZING! They are providing our community with bite size delights of hope and happiness! Thank you Cheryl for all you do for your customers especially during this crisis! Seriously the best Carvel I’ve ever gone to. Never stingy with toppings and always polite! I love the precautions they took for covid-19, made me and my husband feel safe! Others must agree because the line can get long- no worries you’ll be served quickly!

I have ordered a few cakes here special ordered all chocolate with caramel in the middle. They have been made great every time and today they were very accommodating when I made a mistake in my order after they already made it they offered to remake it. They have great customer service and will be coming back again for our next functions cake.

Display of red white and blue star sprinkles had a SCREW inside of it. My ice cream’s strawberry topping was rancid!! It was tangy and disgusting. I can’t believe it. My son’s ice cream was good.

I’d rather eat paint then that gross ice cream! Honestly so disgusting.... the owner told my son he doesn’t need any because he is a little over weight... can’t believe people actually go here. They have 10 year olds running a circus. They have ants crawling on the counter and no one wears gloves while handling the food... absolutely terrible never going there again !!!

Lets Honestly forget about how outrageous the prices are compared to the other Carvels. The last few reviews must be the owners friends or something because Ive never had a more unprofessional encounter with a store owner in my life. This is my favorite Carvel of all time! I dont understand all of these negative comments below... The store is immaculate the cakes are beautifily designed. The owner Cheryl is so warm and welcoming! I have been coming to this store for years and I highly recommend you all stop by and see for yourself. Id give this store 10 stars if I could.

Melted Ice cream! Melted Ice Cream! Get your melted ice cream here! They got chocolate, vanilla, anything you would like all for the same price of a normal ice cream cone! Who needs frozen ice cream when you can get ice cream that melts as soon as you pay for it? The best melted ice cream place in town!

Went in to look for a cake... asked if they had any smaller ones. some woman, who i’m assuming is the owner, came out shaking her hands and yelling that she sold out and that’s all she had left. any normal person would’ve said “i’m sorry but that’s all we have” instead of yelling at their customers. i’ve been going to this location for years, and now they have absolutely lost my business forever.

I rarely write reviews but felt compelled to do so for this Carvel store. Let me start by saying this place is immaculate. I’ve order two different ice cream cakes at two different times and the cakes were done beautifully. My daughter has a severe nut allergy and I was confident that my daughters allergy needs were taken care of and taken very seriously. While I’m unsure who actually decorated the ice cream cakes, I know Desiree and Michele had been the people who took my cake order. Desiree took my order by phone and was very patient explaining the process to assure me that the cake I ordered for my daughter would be nut allergy safe. The second cake I ordered at this store I placed in person with Michele who was very pleasant and put my daughter at ease again with her allergy. We ordered an ice cream cup while we were there too. The sprinkles she used on my daughters ice cream order we could clearly see were far away from any nuts in the store and as I said earlier the store is immaculate, we could see that she had no risk of cross contamination.

Im sitting here reading some of these comments and i cant believe what Im reading, seems like she has some haters that want to see this store/her fail. If you have ever gone into this carvel & had the pleasure of meeting the owner Cheryl she is the biggest sweetheart you will ever met in your life. She treated me & kids great... Her cakes are awesome the best around. You can tell she cares about her place & her product she puts out... Keep on doing what you are doing..

Just went here and disappointed I just paid $15 for two Oreo carvalanches that we’re watery and pretty much milkshakes. I got mediums and the cups weren’t even full either. Think the kid working was new also. I get people need to learn but maybe work on making things before serving customers. It wasn’t worth the money.

To me it sounds like people are jumping to conclusions and thinking the one behind the counter is the owner, Cheryl. I find it extremely hard to believe the customer service issues with the owner. There might be an employee that just dont want to work or likes their job. Or there are people out there that dont want Cheryls Carvel to have the 5 Star status that she most definitely deserves. When people complain about the prices....hello!...everything is getting so damn expensive, but its definitely worth it.

They dropped the cone on the counter and still gave it to us... The ice cream was already melting seconds after being served, which means they aren’t keeping it cold enough. And they still charged us for 2 cones despite the big poster outside that advertised BOGO free today.Might as well drive a couple minutes down the road to the Centereach location.

Terrible i felt completely ripped off, the owner lady was behind the counter the last time i walked in, she was rude, ripped me off on the toppings so i had to order a side of toppings and she charged me through the roof. I could not believe it!! well guess what owner lady!! you just lost one of your best customers!!! you should stay out of the kitchen lady!! The usual girl that works there does a much better job, shes fair and honest with the toppings and knows how to treat the costumers well. Very disappointing :(

I cant believe how I was just treated when we went into carvel .Denise was the server and I believe the owner. Extremely rude! Rushing us when we were the only ones in the store. There was a dead cricket in the pistachios . Very short answers and highly overpriced even with coupons. Definitely needs to work on customer service skills!

Rude, always been rude since I was a kid. They also don’t fill the cups all the way. Just go down the road near White Castle. That carvel is the bomb dot com.

I had no trouble with any product or service of this fine example of a Carvel. Easy to get to and nice people who work there - clean and friendly. They had no problem with my special order. Large Round - Layers of freshly-made premium vanilla and chocolate ice cream, separated by a layer of chocolate crunchies. With artwork and Script on top!

The owners really dont seem interested in providing good customer service. You feel like you are putting them out when you order. Ice cream is good but not so much on the service.

Been going here since I was a kid and will NEVER step foot in there again after the way we were treated....the owner is the rudest person..made myself and family feel like we were trash....all over $8.45!!!!! I wish I could give zero stars!!!!!

This place was filthy and looked as if it were ran by a group of 11 year olds. On top of that, I ordered a very specific type of shake and recieved something entirely different. When I asked if that was what I ordered I was told that it was. I will certainly never be returning to this carvel and I will be bringing my money to the carvel in centereach instead.

I was excited bc they have so many soft serve flavors. Staff was nice but I’m sorry I have to give 1 star. I threw away my ice cream and drive all the way to the centereach carvel (which I usually go to and always get the same thing). The cake pieces were old, stale and had a very odd taste. The cookie cone tasted like cleaning fluid and stale too. It was disgusting

I have had 1 sundae a day for 20 years at this carvel. I love it greatly! Recently I needed to have all my teeth removed but it was worth it

As a customer service executive, I cant see how this place is still in business. I have had nothing but bad experiences. I go back because I know everyone has an off day. However, this owner is off PERIOD! They dont follow proper recipes, ingredients, and portions. I questioned why my large carvalanche was half full and the owner was rude and condescending. She proceeded to add some more ice cream to the top (which now ruins the quality of carvalanche) all while shaking her head. Who needs that from someone? I hope she made it to her liking because I left everything on the counter and went to Centereach location (4 miles away and owner is awesome)! Ill tell you one thing for sure. Good thing shes the owner because she wouldnt last a day working for someone else! I will be contacting the Suffolk County Department of Weights and Measures but in the meantime I cant help but wonder why Carvel (corporate) does not pay attention to these reviews and get involved. This place is a real joke!

Its one of those franchisees that cuts a lot of corners. Flying saucers have freezer burn on them. Sundaes are filled to half the size of other Carvels. And the absolute worst atrocity, they only gave me a pinch of crunchiest. Gave me an attitude when I complained

Whats up with all the cameras Is it a secret entrance to Fort Knox. Last count was 23 cameras in front I cant imagine how many are in the back to watch the employees.

I hated it!WHEN I WENT THERE I ASK THE LADY HOW A CHOCOLATE CONE WAS AND SHE SAID $1.50 AND I HAD ONLY 4 DOLLARS SO I BOUGHT TWO CONES AND SHE SAID SHE HAD NO CONES THEN SHE PUT IT IN A CUP AND I GOT TWO CHOCOLATES WITH CHOCOLATE SPRINKLES AND THE TOTAL WAS $10.68 .THERE SO RUDE AND MEAN!!!NEVER GO THERE!!!!!!!
