Had a great experience at Selma Hyundai. Danny Sanchez helped find my wife a car that fit all her needs. He was honest and made both my wife and I feel comfortable through the car buying process. His transparency is rare in that industry and was a refreshing change from the normal car salesperson routine. If youre looking for a Hyundai or any car at Selma Auto Mall, go see Danny. Have to also give a shout out to Mondo in finance for helping get us the best deal. He was also kind and courteous. Lastly, my guy Eric in finance that wrote up the final paperwork was a riot. Called to take my car in for a quick recall, had to wait a week for my appointment. Showed up for my appointment and they didn’t have the correct part. Scheduled another appointment, this time 2 weeks out. Show up for my appointment and they make me wait over two and a half hours for a simple jobs. Thanks for wasting my time Selma Hyundai.

After researching the options in my preferred vehicle class and price range I decided to head over to selma hyundai. Adrian was awesome, super chill, answered all our questions and was very knowledgeable. Thanks Adrian!! We test drove a few different santa fe models but in the end, we went with a palisade. Hyundai has the best warranties around and that was a major factor in our decision. The sales team also offered me a fair price for my trade in which made it a little easier to let my coup go. Its nice to know my new suv is covered mechanically for years to come and my family will have dependable, safe transportation.

We love our new palisade however communication is atrocious at Selma Hyundai. Gas door is missing when we bought it new off the lot. It needed to be ordered, then color matched, then sent to body shop for paint and install. Along with new headrest TVs, the expectation given to us was 3 days. We are now over two weeks. When we call we are told someone will touch base with us later to give us an expectation. No one calls. I called three times today (on my only day off) to figure this out. Impossible. With communication like this- could you imagine trying to get coverage on a manufacturer’s warranty? Get your vehicle at another Hyundai dealership is my recommendation.

I see there are a lot of 5 star reviews however I didnt have the same experience. My wife and I went there to look at the 2021 Palisade to decide if this was the vehicle we wanted. When we first arrived it took a while to get someone to help. This is not a bad thing so I thought no high pressure just making sure we were ready. Once we started talking to an employee and he got the keys this is where it went down hill.Every time we asked to look at a specific model he would come out and remote start and lift the rear gate. As if this was some kind of new feature and showing it off. Instead of just letting us look at the vehicle and standing back to be available for questions he was up in our space pointing out trivial details about the vehicle. I mean something as simple as the power seats or storage in the back. I would make a comment about the variances and he would just agree but had no real experience or knowledge about the vehicle. He was pushy, overbearing and talked over us.We went for a test drive, but this vehicle was still in Shipment Mode. Why? None of the features worked and we were unable to really see the true potential of this vehicle.Sticker on the window listed MSRP of course but then there was a mark up tag on the side of $10K. Really, $59k for this vehicle? Is it that hot selling of a vehicle? However another employee said he would sell it to us for MSRP. Ok, I did a little research and found that vehicles average selling cost was actually below MSR for that area. I offered a reasonable price, no low ball. Went inside and out comes the antiquated 4 square ploy. They came back $2000 over MSRP. I said that wasnt going to work for me. I was immediately dismissed and the negotiations were over just like that.I have an idea, how about if you take a little extra time and show some customer service and find out what would work. Maybe a different model with some similar features? Isnt thats why youre employee there to sell vehicles?Finally, I did some searching and found other Palisades for a much more reasonable asking price. Sure it was a little bit of a drive south, but in the end well worth it. We walked out of that dealership proud owners of a new car all for over $5500 less than what I was offered at Selma. I was treated perfectly and there was ZERO pressure. Take note Selma.Selma Hyundai, you lost a potential customer and I will not recommend your dealership.

I purchased a 2019 Kona with 36k miles. I was under the assumption the vehicle had been checked out and ready for my road trip. However, A few hrs after the dealership dropped it off I drove to town when the “next service in 485 miles” notification comes on.First impression makes a huge difference in my book and so far it’s not looking good! Now I’ll have to forgo my road trip to return to the dealership so I can get the required service done.UPDATE:I drove to the dealership and the notification was reset and then I asked for proof the had been serviced. When the service report came back, it hadn’t been serviced.If you buy a used vehicle from this dealership ask for proof of service so you leave satisfied.However, the salesman Cookie was awesome!

I was referred here by a friend who had a wonderful experience, I on the other hand received the opposite experience. I purchased my vehicle from Selma Hyundai over a year ago now, coming up to two years, and have had nothing but a bad experience with everyone from the sales representative that I worked with when I purchased my vehicle, to the manager who took over the sale, to the finance employee, Rudy who helped me. Rudy talked me into, rather, he pressured me into signing up for the Gap Insurance through Hyundai. I went back a few days later to cancel the policy, and almost 2 years later no one can tell me why the cancellation was never processed. There was supposed to be $8k check refunded to me that was supposed to be applied to the principle that still has not been processed along with the cancellation of the gap insurance. In addition to this issue, I have also had issues with the service department. I called to schedule an appointment to take my vehicle in to have the recall part replaced for my brake system, the person I called scheduled me for the week that I called to schedule the appointment. When I arrived for my appointment I was told the part was never ordered, and they had to reschedule my appointment for four weeks out. It seems just about every employee I have spoke with has had a terrible unprofessional approach to helping with issues or providing customer service.

Went in to look at a 2017 genesis 3.8 listed at 27,155 that I called about earlier in the week. When I went in today on 12/21, I test drove it, went well. I looked around and decided I wanted to get the numbers on it. From the start the salesman kept switching between 27,500 and 28,500 and his manager said the car was 28,500 during closing, even after I corrected him 2 times before taking it for a test drive. I informed them we had 20k from eecu at a 1.86 percent and would downpay a minimum of 10k in cash, but ultimately whatever the difference is after the 20k . Immediately they started acting wierd and couldnt just give me the taxes and total cost. And wasted over 40 more minutes of my time arguing over the listed price and even made me pull up true car and show them their own listing because he was sure I must be wrong. When I showed them he goes there must be a mistake but ill go back rn and adjust the price down. Yet he had a writeup for me to pay 10 down and finance 24,7XX more.....I shopped here for my last car in 2016 and returned 4 years later to a completely different group of disrespectful kids.It worked for the best cuz I left and immediately drove 45 minutes to look at another and got a 2018 for less than 31k with only 4600 more miles! In the end, tbh, thank you guys for helping me spend my money with people that actually deserved it. Like, The whole phone call to my salesman that disappeared, while the dude was actually standing in the room not on the other line....WIIIERD...and the whole, im finishing up a sale as you walk out to text the other 2 kids to run out and pow wow with you less than 25 feet from me and my wife as if were not THE ONLY CUSTOMER IN THE ENTIRE PROPERTY and TOTALLY not seeing all the body language in the room. It was the cringiest and most disrespectful sale attempt, hands down, that ive ever experienced. I was already sold on the car. The salespeoples ingenuine attitudes and lack of straightforward business was a turn off.

As soon as I drove into the dealership I was greeted and helped out right away! They did a fantastic job on my oil change: it was not only quick, but also felt like home in the lobby area. My experience purchasing my vehicle from Selma Hyundai was great! The salesman was extremely helpful and did an amazing job of answering any questions that we had. I also like that no one pressured us and we felt comfortable throughout the entire experience. The only drawback was that it took longer than usual for them to draft the paperwork for the purchase of the vehicle. But, to make up for this they offered me a free automotive detail and tank of gas for me to redeem at a time of my choosing. The service department quoted me nearly $500 dollars to repair my 2017 elantra sports windshield washer with 36,000 miles on it. My car is still under factory warranty. They told me it was my fault for using the rainx washer fluid recommended to me by Hyundai of Riverside where the car was purchased. They also wanted $160 for a diagnostic fee, though the fee was waived when I requested it to be. I took the car to another Hyundai dealer in fresno where I had great service. They diagnosed the car and repaired it for free. The service in selma was terrible. I would never recommend them or go to them again for anything. Beware.
