I never thought I’d give Walmart a 5 star review for anything, but today I was in a real pinch, my battery was dead and I was worried my car would be in the shop for over a day at the Ford dealership (since they take forever).Joseph was very kind and helpful. He looked up the replacement information, brought out a cart of tools, and quickly replaced my battery. He even let me observe how to replace it, so I could see how to do it on my own in the future.A+ service!
First time ever having oil changed at any walmart auto. They did a wonderful job. I was pleased with the service.
The installation of the tires was not bad. However, while performing this service, they scratched the rims of my car, and they didnt assume any responsibility nor own up to their mistake. Instead, they tried to make up excuses to cover themselves. This was totally unacceptable, and hence, the reason why Im giving the auto/tire care center this rating.
Great experience at the auto care center. Called to check wait times /set an appointment and was told there was no wait. They had me in and out with 2 new tires in about 45mins. Only reason for lack of 5 star review is I had to call 4-5 times and ended up calling the main store to be transfered to the auto care. The actual service I received was excellent and the gentlemen working were friendly and efficient
Well organized and runs efficiently. They took care of my 1 tire walk-in in 20 minutes.
I was confounded that I had to purchase 4 tires to get an appointment..but if that wasnt bad enough I had to take the tires with me until my appointment 5 days later. GTHOH
I order my tires online. Once, they arrived I made an application for the same day to have them put on. The staff was wonderful and made everything easy from start to finish.
Very friendly. Had a wait but job well done.
No appointment needed for oil changes which is nice. Its first come, first served so be sure to go early!
This particular location is bad. Called there and was put on hold indefinitely. Drove there and saw that the employees really just do not care. The customer service is terrible because the employees have given up on life, it seems.
The manager is quite lazy he had 3 guys standing around including himself and wouldnt mount my tire that walmart just did a repair on because I took it off. Avoid him and this branch. Happy holidays
Thank you for helpful staff and affordable tires & battery!!
Great customer service and explanation of services.
On a road trip and came in for an oil change. They spent 40 minutes doing nothing. Parked the vehicle our front. Supervisor came out to check under the hood. They couldn’t figure out if my engine was a V6 or a V8 so nothing was done in that time. Could have just called me and asked. Then they take my van back to do it right and it’s been another 2 hours of waiting and he comes out and tells me they need to remove the engine cover (it’s an older van) to get oil in it. So that’s fine, I went back to help. It just should have taken way less time than it did. This is easily one of the most frustrating situations I’ve ever had to deal with before. Unfortunately it took WAY longer than necessary and if they just would have asked me, I could have helped. I will be doing my own oil changes now and forever (even on road trips, my god).
Picked Up Tires 10 minutes prior to close and the techs almost had a melt down. Lack of integrity, morale, and plain simple customer service.Hence the 1.4 stat ratings. Step your game up!!
Ive been by 4 times in the last 2 months for have my tires balanced and rotated. That is where they get you... good deals on tires and mounting, lifetime rotation, balance, and road hazard is just like $13 a tire. But when one goes to cash in on this lifetime service... there is always a 4 hour wait. It seems Walmart just does not staff these places hoping customers will just walk away b/c they cannot sit around for such a long time.
I was blown off, and talk to make an appointment online. There is no way to make an appointment online. They only give you a phone number, I called that number they told me I needed to order online. I ordered my tires online, and got a notification three days later that they were ready to be picked up or installed. I called to make an appointment to have them installed, I was told I needed to bring in the vehicle and wait in a line for service, I did just that and then they couldnt find my order, not even with my email, last name, my phone number not even with the barcode from the order. Finally getting Brad the area manager to find the order and he let us know it will be a three-hour wait. Only redeeming thing about the entire experience was Brads calming demeanor.
Ridiculous customer service at your Severn, MD auto care center. After purchasing my tires online, I showed up and no one could find them. They continued to check people out and put cars ahead of mine in an already long line as they searched for tires that an employee had apparently put up. Then, I waited for six hours after they found them. When I got back in the car, my tires were not balanced. A manager said I could come back to get them rebalanced with no wait because he wanted a chance to fix what they had done. When I came back, I explained this, went back to check on my car after an hour, and they had thrown me in a line. I asked to speak to that same manager who said he would be here, and he did not have a shift today. Now, having explained again what their manager to me to say today, I’m waiting again for my balancing to be done properly. Would not suggest getting auto care here for your own safety. Glad it was only balancing but could’ve been way worse.
Just tried to call for a simple pricing question that was not listed online and was hung up on after 30 minutes because they are now closed.
I wish I could give 0 stars but that is not an option. This was the worst experience I have ever had somewhere. Got tires the end of April, went back the next week because I was having issues with tire pressure, they told me that it was not the actually tire pressure but my sensors (even though you could tell my tire was very low on air). After speaking with a store manager because the Auto manager was not in I eventually just left because I got no where. 3 weeks later I woke up to a completely flat tire (nothing in it to make it go flat) Put on my spare and drove back there, they said it must have been a bad tire....guess what that new one started to go flat...I finally took it to Mr. Tire and thank the lord for them...they told me I needed new valves...they put air in my tires sprayed the valves and even I could see how bad they were leaking...thankfully Mr. Tire made the additional repairs that Walmart Auto Center couldnt figure out 3 times! I will not be purchasing from here and I will be warning everyone to stay far away as well. Not only do they not know their stuff their customer service skills and how they speak to customers are horrible!
So I went for my oil change again this time I arrive early for service was fairly slow but Kevin was a familiar face he was polite. These guys did a good job...7am to 7pm shop hours I will continue to get my car service there.
Incredibly slow. One car was in front of me for an oil change. They said the other car was almost done when I got there. He told me an hour or so and I thought that was pretty long but figured he might be playing it safe. An hour and a half later my oil change was done.
I went in this morning to purchase motor oil for my car and decided to put some in while i was still parked in the parking lot. Apparently, I was doing the wrong thing when i emptied the entire 5 quart jug into the engine. A service guy noticed what I was doing from afar, but by the time he realized what I was doing, it was too late. He came over, asked me a few questions and asked if he could check my oil level. Yes, the level was low, and I only needed to add 1 quart of oil and not the supersized jug I put in. LOL... I feel like these guys went above and beyond to help me. They didnt have to say a mumbling word, but they did and I appreciate the help and advice. I ended up getting the excess oil drained and was on my way in no time!
Waited in line behind 2 people for 30 minutes. Incredibly slow and no sense of urgency or customer service to be found here.I brought bare rims and four tires in my trunk, and asked them to be just mounted - no balancing, no valve stems, just like I have done at numerous other walmart locations with no problem. I had to explain that the rims were bare to him three or four separate times. The guy informed me that it was impossible, and that they had to do all of those things. I told him the valve stems were brand new and he said I understand that, but they have to do all of it. No, they dont. It is itemized on the price board behind your head, its not a package.Even simple common sense dictates that doesnt make sense. It would be like ordering off the dollar menu, then the cashier telling you that you must buy fries and a drink with it. Then why is everything listed separately?I left and I drove over to the Arundel Mills location and was in a line behind 3 people. I was seen in less than 3 minutes and everything was done, the exact way I wanted it, with zero problems and with a smile.Ill never be back at this Walmart.
You can tell everyone there hates their job especially after seeing so many potential customers turned away or convinced to go else where. The work was good but the customer service sucks...
It took 5 attempts to get someone to answer the phone. I just wanted to check to see if I tire I ordered had come in. After 2 minutes of ringing someone finally answered. I told them I wanted to check on the status of the tire. He told me hed check and put me back on hold without asking for my name, tire info...nothing. That was 15 minutes ago. I dont expect Walmart to be the best, but this just seems extraordinarily lame. I was going to have them put the tire on for me - to replace one with a nail in it. But, even though Im desperate to get this fixed - after this experience - Im just going to pick it up and take it elsewhere. At this rate...I may be ordering it elsewhere.
The service was terrible. It took 3.5 hours to pick up and install 2 tires. Nobody wanted to be at work that day. The guy told me it was one person in front of me with 4 tires being replaced. I will never in my life come to walmart for tires.
I’m honestly not sure if this will get me anywhere because I see that WalMart customer service is not responding to any of these negative reviews, but I will do my best to warn others. On Friday I had a flat tire and I called my boyfriend for help. He went to wal Mart to get a tire so that I could have them put them on the wheels for me. The manager told us that as long as we got there before 7, he would help me out and do it for me. Ever so greatful, I instructed my tow truck to take me to wal mart. When I arrived, my boyfriend told me that he made sure that it was the right tire, and that we should run in to get serviced. We were denied. I was shocked, because we were told ten minutes ago that we could. I had to leave my car in the parking lot overnight and pray that no one broke into my car. This morning, I arrived at 11 am. I explained my situation to Christina, who was behind the front desk and she seemed very irritated that I was there. I told her what happened and she told me it was a four hour wait and handed my keys back to as if to tell me to go away. I handed them back and said that I would take it. She seemed surprised but agreed. I waited for an hour and came back to check on the tire changing process. I was then told that they couldn’t help me because they couldn’t find my wheel lock. I told them where to find it. I came back an hour later, and there was an issue. Despite the fact that my boyfriend was physically there yesterday and verified that these were the right tires, they were somehow wrong this morning. I was told to carry two tires to the front of the store for a return, and then come back and wait in line to buy two $55 tires. Once I finally got back, the price jumped to $74, and then there was only one, so the price was $79. Exhausted, I agreed and purchased the tires. I asked to speak with a manager. He immediately told me that I just bought the wrong tires again. He told me two different tire sizes and types, and insisted that my 2006 car was an anomaly, and was a 2005 that was somehow mislabeled despite the owners manual saying it was a 2005. He went on about how I “technically” bought the right tires, but he was going to get one type and then another. This went on for almost an hour. I finally got so frustrated that I called my mother because I felt like the price was going to keep going up, and I was being given the run around. The manager never addressed my issue with the service. He wanted me to just get the tires done and leave because he was “new at this manager thing so I don’t know” he told me that this was something that can be done in 20 minutes. It took 5 hours to get this job done, and one of my rims looks terrible. It wasn’t that way when I dropped it off. It looks like someone might have scratched it out of spite. I went to pay, but the two people working the desk were arguing in front of an entire line of customers! It was appalling. I don’t know if I was treated this way because I might seem young and easy to take advantage of, or if the service here is always that terrible, but I don’t ever want to come back. Avoid this place at all costs!!!! Don’t bother coming. It would have been ueasier to buy my tires and put them on in a gas station parking lot and then fill them up with air myself. I’m not a very big girl but I could have done this myself at this rate. I felt incredibly disrespected and I can’t believe that this really happened at a wal Mart. I used to really like this store and I thought that they were reliable. Maybe in my home town, but not at this location for sure.
Horrible customer service. Woman and man working at desk just stared at me when I walked in as if upset I interrupted their conversation. When I asked about replacing a flat tire they said it was a four hour wait. I had come in the day before asking about the same issue around 6pm and was told they stop taking customers at that time even though they’re open until 7. You ask about something and they just stare at you and give some unhelpful canned response. Horrible. Would go somewhere else but it’s right up the road and I don’t trust my car will be able to make it any farther with the flat tire.
Painfully slow. Like CRAZY slow. Definitely have a ride and something to do when you drop off your car. But they get the job done reliably. Just very very VERY very SLOW.
Been on the phone for 12 minutes now and still cant get anyone to pick up. Must be ringing like crazy over there and still nobody picks up. Do they have like a fake number or some bs?
I went here for brand new tires. I handed over my keys at 1030am, and didn’t walk out of there until almost 4pm. They didn’t have enough ppl at the front desk, and the ones they did have were at the end of their shift, and literally walked out in the middle of a busy line. It took 40 mins for them to simply cash me out ( mind you tho, they had to rewrite my ticket due to complications with my back wheel lugnut).I will say tho, that the female service manager of this auto location was very accommodating and even tho she was a million places at once, was still able to take care of me, and send me on my way cool calm and collected. I see why she is the service manager... and she is the only reason I gave this place three stars, otherwise it would have been one.
Have you ever had the old bait-and-switch pulled on you? Well, this tire shop tried it on me. I must look stupid, because the guy behind the counter swore up and down that my cruddy sedan absolutely required a V rated (thats 149MPH) tire. If you must use walmart, the one over at arundel mills is much more professional.Update: A year later I forgot about the problems with this tire place. I needed a new tire on a new rim. They said they had the tire in stock. They couldnt find it, so they ordered it. But they didnt actually order it. In the end they finally found the tire out on display. It took them 3 visits over 3 days to mount a tire on a rim.

Yeah, Im currently on hold. Ive been waiting for 7 mins! I just want to know the hours of operation! He couldve asked How can I help you before putting me on hold. Cmon man!
There’s always hours worth of waiting if you don’t get there at open and never enough people working on the weekend. Their customer service is non existent. Today we went in and were told a 3 hour wait, after 2 hours we decided to go and see how much longer and they informed us they had 2 call outs so it was going to be another 2 hours. In short they’re extremely inconvenient, rude and not worth it.
Over an hour before close, they refused to help us in an emergency with a flat
In an emergency situation needed new battery replaced was told did not need reservation preferred to make a reservation because when I arrived after 7 a.m. Im already looking at a multi-hour wait. fix this!!!!!!!
Service is extremely slow. Called 2 hrs after dropping off my vehicle for a tire change and they told me they didnt have the right tire. Complete waste of time.
It would be a 0, working on the 4th hour for one tire
Great store good prices
