Have always wanted a La-Z-Boy recliner so finally visited the store in Severn for some hands-on research. Prior to visiting the store I had already browse online for what models I thought I might like.Once in the store, the store manager was extremely easy going, with no hassle or pressure. He casually asked about my preferences and showed me various models and options around those preferences. I could tell he was carefully listening.Additionally, the more feedback I provided, the better his recommendations. Once we narrowed our options to a model, he took extra steps to find discounts and get us the best pricing. When I had approval questions, he carefully listened and even find ways to physically demonstrate some of his recommendations, like my desire for a riser, and cleaning / furniture maintenance.Overall, it was a great experience!
We had a great shopping experience at this store location. Our sales manager was helpful and not pushy. We were able to complete our living room furniture order very quickly. Now we wait for delivery!
UPDATE: Just received my recliner on Oct 2 that I ordered in January.Have only had the chair 1 day and the power remote is already not working. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON LA-Z-BOY!!ORIGINAL REVIEW: Would love to give it Zero Stars but cant. Ordered recliner in Jan, delivered in Apr but had the WRONG features. Went back to the store, correct item was re-ordered. Called to check on order in Aug and they told me it was arriving the first week of Sept. Just called again, since its Sept. 22 and I havent heard a word from them. Today, Im told that its arriving the first week of October. Unless you are willing to tolerate substandard ordering and 10-12 months for deliver, DO NOT pay the premium prices that they gouge you for! Over $1500 and 10 months waiting is unacceptable.
Impressive display, variety. Max, who assisted us, was attentive but, gave us space and time to check on sofas.The entire process was easy, including the financing.We are pleased with our find and look forward to receiving our new sofas in near future. Covid has put delays on custom-made its.s, which we had anticipated.Highly recommend Lazy Boy products. Staff is excellent, products first-rate. We are repeat shoppers for certain.
I paid for my Chair in full ($1,500+) and it took almost 4mos to have it delivered to my house and then the guys had do repairs to get the chair to work properly
My whole experience from start to finish was very good. At the showroom the salesmen were knowledgeable at no time did I feel pressure that I would expect from sales people. Upon delivery the personal were on time and Courteous. It was a basement delivery with some tight corners but not a single complaint from the gentleman. Only down side was the 6 month delivery time but we were not in a hurry so that wasn’t a big concern to us. We would definitely shop here again
The salesman Jason was awesome. The best experience I have ever had purchasing a piece of furniture. He was very kind & accommodating. Also helpful & knowledgeable. He made it easy & carefree even helping me load the furniture when I had to make arrangements to have the piece delivered to the store for pickup as I wasnt able to wait on the delivery date because of my spouse coming home from surgery. Bottom line is he made it happen & I would highly recommend him to anyone & will seek him out as our salesman for future purchases. Thanks Jason! Your great
La-Z-Boy customer for LIFE! I bought a recliner online without trying it in person. It arrived and was way too small for my body type. I emailed corporate and a week later it was taken care of...new bigger chair on the way for minimal cost difference, old one scheduled to be taken back. Couldnt possibly be happier with the service!!!!

We bought a new recliner in May was told it would be delivered on june 8th during the 3rd week of June i called and was told now the 2nd week in august. I called again and was told now it will be september 2nd. I called again when no delivery had showed up after taking off work 3 times. They told me they had no idea now when it would be delivered. Now finally september 22nd the recliner finally showed up. Their customer service is nothing but a bunch of clueless liars thet will tell you anything. When the drivers showed up they didnt protect their shoes and tracked mud across the house and neither of the men wore face mask eaither. Never again with lazy boy.

I walked in a few minutes before 11 on a Sunday morning. Max, the store manager, greeted me. I told him I needed a sofa that was in stock and could be delivered in under 3 weeks. He showed me one which was not to my taste. The second one was perfect. Sold! He also helped me find a chair that met those same time frames. I was in and out in 20 minutes. What a great experience. The Sales representative greeted us at the door with friendly good morning. We informed him we were just looking and explained what we were interested in. He showed us examples of furniture we interested in and the different fabric that was available. He was in NO WAY pushy and we enjoyed conversations with him. We ended up purchasing a couch and two chairs. Although it will be a while until they arrive, we are still happy about the purchase. We have been buying La-Z-boy furniture for about 40 years.
Hello. I want to detail an experience at the La-Z-Boy store located in George Claud Blvd, Severn, MD 21144 .In short- missing employees, not greeted at store, when employee showed up was uninterested in helping and acting very aloof. I am in crutches due to an injury. Every furniture store I have visited so far today has a wheelchair available- Ashley, Value City Furniture- but I was told you guys had no courtesy motorized scooter or wheelchair. I left store right away and truthfully I was ready to buy today. I am a sale you guys have missed.
We had really good service and once we decided on the furniture we wanted it took no time to finish up.
Greeted by a knowledgeable and personal sales representative named Max. Directed us to the selection area for the piece of our interest. He explained different features, options, etc. We made our decision and because we were in need of the piece sooner than a custom order would accommodate, we purchased the floor model (which was in pristine condition).
Was greeted by Max Cline. Found him to very knowledgeable and professional. Gave us enough space to browse around, but was close enough to field any questions we had. All said and done we ordered a sectional for our family room...which was not our intention on this visit. And Max..if you get tired of furniture..Im always looking for good salespeople.
The salesperson was very polite and answered all my questions about the recliners. She went out of her way to get the information I requested. I am very pleased with the recliner I purchased and will come to La-Z-Boy again to purchase furniture again.
The store manager was very welcoming and professional. He gave my wife and I many options to choose from. Described in detail the qualities of each choices we made and allowed us time and space to consider our options and then intimated him of our final choice. The sale was writen and sealed. I will not hesitate to recommend this store to my friends.
We decided to just stop in the store to browse. Julie approached us and told us about the great sale going on with zero interest. She was professional and friendly and close enough for questions but not pushy at all!! She made shopping there a pleasant experience. So much we bought a beautiful rocker recliner! She showed us all the fabrics we could get the chair in but left us to go through the fabrics without standing over us. She was extremely helpful and patient. We decided to make a purchase that will take about 6 months to have the chair conmpleted. It is worth it!!! Hope to work with Julie again and told her manager how helpful, professional and friendly she was without being pushy as we have found in other furniture stores. We love Lazy-Boy stores and wish them a long future in business. Great quality with comfortable shopping. Julie is the best and will deal with her in the future. Hold onto her but please make her feel as valuable as she is!

They make good quality furniture that will last a lifetime. The only thing to be mindful of is that delivery of your furniture usually takes a few months after you purchase it. Solid furniture built fresh in America takes some time...

I am moving up here on short notice, had to obtain furniture immediately and they helped me at this store to find and choose furniture that they had immediately available. No pressure or high pressure, just showed me my options and we had it loaded in my truck within 20 minutes
I ordered our couches in August (over $5k) and there was a few months lead time on delivery...fine...then we got the couches and not but 2 weeks later after only sitting in them a few times, a part broke on one of our reclining seats so I called to get it fixed. Then I had to wait weeks to hear back from a tech just to schedule us for repair. Then we had to wait 2-3 months for the repair tech to come out and now the repair tech is telling us he has to order the part which could take months and then we have to schedule someone else to come out and do the repair! I am so livid that I even bought from La-Z-Boy. Theyre supposed to be the best and my experience with them is just not good at all. Ill never buy from them again.
The quality of the furniture is unquestioned -- thats why I ordered the loveseat to match my recliners! Love the fabric, and all the pieces are very comfortable. I dropped one star because, while I knew there would be a couple months delay due to supply chain issues, it took almost 6 months to receive my order abd the store did not communicate with me at all about the additional delay.
We purchased a recliner 9/6/20 and paid in full with the expectation of getting the chair in 14 weeks. Upon purchase, we understood it could take this long as we picked a fabric that was not in stock. The salesperson was very kind, professional and optimistic we’d definitely have our chair before Christmas. As Christmas neared, we were anxious to get the chair but not once did we ever get a call to update us of our order status. Rather, we’ve had to call on a semi-regular basis to keep getting told of continued delays. After Christmas came and went, we called for an update and was told our chair was en route to the local warehouse and we would be called to schedule delivery within 48-72 hours. 4 days later, still no word so we call again to be told our chair is delayed until mid February! So the chair went from being on the way to now not being available for still another month?! The sales staff was friendly and apologetic about this mix up but it’s still beyond frustrating that no one seems to know what’s actually going on with getting our recliner. It’s also crazy that La-Z-Boy keeps sending us promotions to buy recliners at these amazing deals... why keep selling if you can’t fulfill orders?? At this point, it’s been over 4 months with at least another month to wait..... very disappointed.
I have had a great experience each time I visit the Severn location. I highly recommend Jason for he provides excellent service. He is very helpful and extremely patient. 5 Stars
We came to LaZBoy back in October. The salesman was friendly and courteous. After making my selection I ended up coming back the next day and changing the fabric choice. It would have been nice to have had help with all the swatches!!

After being ignored by two associates upon walking in, (one deliberately went to the people who walked in after Us because they were older and she probably assumed we were too young to buy anything), but luckily we were greeted by Jason and I’m SO glad we were because he was absolutely WONDERFUL and much kinder than the others who work there. He was patient, informative and extremely helpful in helping us purchase two sectionals, a couch, an entertainment center and a love seat for our new home. If you are ever in need of a warm and kind person to work with when purchasing furniture, I HIGHLY recommend going when Jason is there. Initial experience was great! The manager, at the time, went out of her way to assist us. However, we ended up waiting twice as long for our order. What would have been helpful was communication. Nobody contacted us to inform us of the delay or when part of our order arrived. We had to call and had to search for information about our purchase. When the whole order finally arrived, 4 months after the original purchase, there was minimal acknowledgement or concern about our experience. Poor customer service!!
The buying experience was fine. The young man we worked with did a great job. The problem has been the delivery of our order. We were told at the time of sale that it would be 14 weeks to get our furniture due to COVID. Well, 14 weeks came and went and we never heard a word from La-Z-Boy about our order. We finally went back to the store and talked with the same gentleman that had sold us the furniture. He told us it was going to be another two weeks, but was surprised we had not heard anything. He was kind enough to take off the delivery fee for our order, so we were pleased with that. I would recommend the store, but with the warning not to expect your furniture anytime soon.

He was so helpful. He offered suggestions and helped me pick fabric. And when asked, he he gave me his honest opinion. I couldn’t be more pleased.
I visited the Severn La-Z-Boy store on Saturday, June 6, 2020, to look at a recliner I was interested in purchasing. My husband had visited the store a week earlier & chose a few recliners he thought I would like & took pictures of them for me. When I saw the price of the chairs I thought I would look at them but would not likely purchase one at those prices. Additionally, I was looking for a fabric-covered recliner but they only had leather in the showroom. When I first saw the recliner in the showroom it was love at first sight. Once I sat in the leather chair there was no doubt in my mind that I was not leaving the store without ordering it! Barbara, who was our salesperson, was just lovely and clearly knew her product very well. She was able to answer all of our questions & did not make us feel pressured to make a purchase. I would definitely recommend La-Z-Boy in Severn & Barbara to everyone I know. I cant wait to get my chair.
The quality is okay but I think the items are overpriced and it was ridiculous that we paid for two chairs in April but they didn’t keep us informed or notify us until I they were finally ready for delivery FOUR MONTHS later.
The representative that help us was very patient and knowledgeable. He was professional and knew the products. It was a great experience.

Ive had to edit my review now that I have owned my furniture for almost a year and half now and have had to have two service calls now. While my experience with actually making a purchase in store was easy everything after has left me unsatisfied. I bought two sofas with recliners and during the first year one recliner broke due to poor craftsmanship and there were a few spots were the seams in the cushions have separated. There was a piece of wood in the framing of the back of the couch that had a huge bore right in the middle which caused the wood to became weak and crack to which caused other mechanical parts to fail. That piece of wood should have never been used during esembly and should have been caught especially when we had ordered custom upholstery. About 6 months after the first repairs were made the recliner of the second couch brokeamd we are now goingthrough the long process of having to get it repaired. During the first repair we felt like there was a issue with the second couch and brought it up with the technician who just brushed it off. I also very disappointed in the time it takes to have a repair done the first time it took 2months at least. You have to call in make a claim then wait 2-4 days to have a technician call you back to set up an appointment to come out, the date they come out is about 30 days out from when you talk to them, then after they come out it takes another 30 days before they actually come back and do the repair. I paid too much money for my furniture to now have had both couches break with normal use and have to wait so long for repairs. Its also upsetting that I have paperwork stating I have a 5 year warranty but La-Z-Boy is trying to say I only have a 1 year warranty. I dont reccomend purchasing furniture from La-Z-Boy the quality is not what is was years ago.

Although I have not received my chair, I am positive I will love it. However, the store employees were not very helpful until I was ready to order the chair. No one asked any details of what I was looking for. Just wasnt very personable at all especially for a higher end store.

Our sales representative was responsive, creative, and worked to get the sleep sofa with the right combination of features we wanted. She worked every angle to help us take full advantage of the sale. The only reason I give it a 4 instead of 5 stars is because we will have to see if it actually comes on time and what the delivery is like. This far, this was a very easy process.

The sales associate who assisted my husband and I was very friendly and informative. We were acknowledged by him as soon as we walked in.We told him what we were looking for and he guided us around the store and advised us as well.What I really liked about his service is we were given our space and he was not pushy or did not get in our way. Mr. Hadgu was totally awesome and professional when helping me select my sofa. He gave me space to look around but was always available when I had a question and knowledgeable on the merchandise. He gave me information about customizing my selection and projected delivery times. I was able to have my items delivered the very next week (it was in stock) and the delivery personnel took great care not to damage anything in my home, protected my purchase with a durable cover and moved the items to my desired location. This will definitely be my go to place!

We have had a fair amount of construction done at our house and no furniture to sit on.The associate that helped us was Mary Ann she was very helpful and confident in her responses to our questions. After ordering the chair we were on our way out and saw a dining room set we liked so we bought that also. Everyone has been very cooperative and pleasant to work with.I stopped in to confirm our delivery date and it happened to be Columns Day which means things are on sale and we decided to get a couchThe computers were not functioning so things took longer to process. While shopping for furniture I stopped in here. On my second trip to the store, I shopped around for quite some time and couldnt get anyone to help me. There were 2 employees whispering loudly about me but would rather do that than come help me. I said something to them and received blank looks.I then went to the manager who seemed completely fine with her employees wasting the day away and not helping customers who are ready to buy. This is supposed to be Lazy-Boy Furniture Galeries, not Lazy employee and Manager Galleries.There are other locations that are much better. I eventually made my purchase in the Columbia store.

We were treated very well, and everyone adhered to the COVID-19 guidelines in keeping distances. The sales lady was patient as we tried several different recliners. We only hope we receive the one we ordered before the 4-week delivery date they mentioned.

Should be more than a 5% discount for Veterans on Veterans Day. All customers were given 30% off for the Veterans Day. 5% didnt even cover the taxes and we made a $3,000 purchase. Additionally, although you have a large selection of material patterns to choose from, the selections were very limited for the two recliners we chose. We had everything picked out within 30 minutes. However, we had to change our covering selections 3 different times until we settled on a pattern that we accepted. We were in the store almost 3 hours!!!
