What a great superb service. Cameron was very helpful and pleasant to work with. Didn’t think I will find a tire shop open on Labor Day. The price was perfect. From here on I will use them for all tires, brakes, and alignment issues.
If I could give them a zero I would. I was having trouble starting my car so I took it to them to have my battery and alternator tested. They call and tell me that both my battery, and my alternator were completely shot and needed replacing. Quoted me nearly $700 to do the job. I declined and took my car home. The battery was a brand new battery only six months old and still under warranty. I went to replace it and they tested it first, and found it was perfect. A mechanic friend came over to test my battery and alternator and they were both perfectly fine. I must have left a light on and drained my battery or something. The fact that Firestone charged me to test it (and probably never did) to tell me it falsely needed replacement. Obviously trying to completely rip me off. My car is working fine right now.
Absolutely terrible doesnt even begin to describe it the only work that was done was 5 wheel studs being replaced and it took 3 full days to complete but thats not even the part Im most upset about. The thing that infuriates me most is the lack of communication and the blatant disregard for the customers safety. After the first day and a half I was told after an inspection was done all I needed was the five wheel studs replaced but upon receiving my car back on my finished paper work I get a full sheet of work that was supposedly declined that still need to be replaced one of which was an alignment which I specifically asked about if I needed one also when I called to get an update and ask if they would put the spare on a different location from where I had the work done because it was on my front left which is the drive wheel and having the spare on the front can damage the transmission also I wasnt informed of when my car was finished because I called 30 minutes before close on the final day since I hadnt been updated yet only to find out it had been done and sitting for who knows how long. Will never be returning to this location and will be informing everyone I know to it absolute trash customer service
I dropped my car off on 5/22/21 for what I thought would be a basic oil change and brake service. I got a call later that the mechanic broke some part off my car when he was removing the brake pads. I was told that it could be a number of reasons and somehow it may have been my fault? They had to order a part which arrived three days later. I know things happen but I had to miss a night of work and paid for 3 days worth of rental (which btw car rentals are quite costly currently). I was also given and paid for someone else’s invoice and car. Luckily I caught it the same night and had it resolved the following morning. I was told by several people to avoid this location but I took a chance. Again, I know things happen but I wasn’t impressed with auto service. One extra star for them eating the cost and labor for the part that they broke off my car. Based on my experience and just my opinion, I would not recommend this Firestone.
We had a simple flat tire without a spare. I checked to see where the leak was and found that it was a small little Crack in the tire, no nails. These tires were supposed to last a minimum of 80,000 miles, and they were only about 10,000 miles in. We had bought them earlier in the year, so we brought it back in to be replaced. We were in a huge rush because we had to go to work, so they told us it would be about 2 hours before it was done (we were one of the only people ther) after about 3 hours of waiting we called them up and they said they didnt know it was urgent (even though we told them) and that they hadnt looked at the tire yet. Finally, another 4 hours later and the entire day wasted, they got it done. But the mess didnt end there, they told me the tire had a nail in it but couldnt show me any proof, and I specifically found were the leak was and there was no nail.. then they tried to upcharge me the most expensive unessecary tire alignment I have ever heard of. All around it was a very frustrating experience and I wish I had not gone there. The sad part is that they were pretty nice, the service just did not match.
They close at 7:00 pm I arrived at 6:30 and they didnt even want to attend to me
Honestly if I could give it 0 stars I would. Went in today at 11 am for 2 tires to be replaced, an alignment, and their inspection. Right now it is 4:11 and they haven’t even done the alignment on my car. Keep in Ming I set an appointment and when I got there was told it would be about 2 hours. And this is going to now be about a 5 and a half hour job. And still going to have to pay over $400 for this service.
Came in for a set of tires and they tried to sell me an alignment I didnt need.Places like this who advertise so boldly about Discounts and being the Cheapest always try to upsell you (even to the point of lying).I was hoping this location would be better than the last Firestone I went to for an oil change (79th & Metcalf) who stripped out my oil pan drain plug causing my car to leak oil all over the road.I will NEVER do business with Firestone again.Enjoy my $700, its the last you will get from me.
I took my car in for an oil change and got excellent service from the service manager and his team. They even priced out tires for me noticing that I would be needing to do this soon. Highly recommend
I trust the work and the team is friendly. Lou made sure, I made it (icy) to my car safely.
Brought my vehicle there and was told it would be done that day and never got called to when it was done. Now I have to find a ride to work! thanks firestone
Very efficient and good customer service, very pleased. Would recommend
I dropped a tire off the night before and the manager I believe cuz he was wearing something completely different told me it should be done and would be done by about 10 the next day. I come in at 12:30 in the afternoon they havent even touched it told me itd be done by 2 p.m. all right well now youre making me late for work I waited till 2 p.m. and they still hadnt touched it it was a horrible experience and I dont understand how places like this could stay open. so I took my tire back and took it to the Goodyear down the road and immediately was serviced.
Did a terrible job on my alignment seems and acts like they never even did one to it took it in again and said nothing wrong but my truck still drift to the right really bad would not suggest this place definitely taking my vehicle elsewhere to get thr job done right or in this case get it actually done
Just 5 months ago I forked our 1600 for a fuel pump, 2 tires, and a battery from Firestone. Last month- I had to replace the battery because it was faulty. This month- I was in need of brakes. They said they could do it for $800. I use my car for work, so timeliness is very important to me. I made an appointment today at 12pm....however- I was not notified that my parts for my brakes weren’t in until 2pm...2 hours later AFTER my set appointment. Mind you, I have been sitting in this lobby the entire time. Now- I have been told I need to wait an additional 2 hours because the parts just came in. A total of 4 hours after my set appointment time. I’m extremely disappointed with the lack of notification regarding the parts not being in and my car taking 4 hours instead of 2. Firestone charges a tremendous amount of money...and I thought I would pay it based on their timeliness. I was wrong. I will be going elsewhere. YOU SHOULD AS WELL.
My son went to get a quote on a set of new tires. He was greeted by Tony and the deal he gave us was far better than other quotes. Being a Saturday late afternoon, he also made the effort to get the tires installed within 2 hours. This really helped my son since that was the only day he could have done it. Tony went above and beyond in getting the job done. Thanks Tony.
I went it and dropped off my wheel with a busted tire for it to be replaced and then put on my car. I came back 4 hours later to learn that the tire was never in stock and needed to be ordered. I wait another hour at the shop for the tire to be put on the wheel, and then they start trying to ring me up before putting the wheel back on the car. When I told them that the wheel was supposed to be put back on the car, they acted confused as if it wasnt part of the agreement. After that they finally install the tire. Two days later, my psi in that same tire drops to 20 from 35, so I air it back up. It happens two more times over the course of 4 days. I bring it back in to be inspected and they discovered that the air valve on the tire was stripped. What was I offered? A rubber replacement which doesnt contain the chip for my car to read the Psi in it, so I constantly have a code for low tire pressure and inaccurate psi. Then, I was told I could buy an actual replacement valve for $80, and then installed for $20!!!! So I have to pay to properly fix the NEW tire that I bought in less than a week? Wow.
Had wheels balanced, apparently the mech didnt clean the wheel surface enough, 1 day later it flung a weight, and shook horribly, i called to bring it back and they said sorry. Were booked up for the next 5 days....really? 10 min job and you cant find time to get a customer in that your mechanic failed to do his job properly? So I was told to come in on sunday....i show up at open, 5 cars ahead of from the night before... and they have 1 mechanic in all day....what kind of shop has 1 mechanic on a sunday!!?? Never again, am I coming to this shop..
Very professional and fast service. Decent prices. 5-Stars
I want to give a shout out Tony on the Weekend crew. I called Saturday and was scheduled for 10am Sunday. When I came in Tony told me that should not have happened, but honored my appointment. I was in and out in about an hour.
Very dissatisfied. Bought my tires from Firestone, but when I had a leaky tire, 2 different Firestones were too busy to help me. First said at least 2-3 hours to wait, the second one said not until the next morning because they close at six. It was 2:30 in the afternoon! Seriously, both places had available bays. I almost called Firestone corporation. I wont go there again. I went to Tire Town where I received immediate attention.
Great service and mechanics. I have taken my truck and my wife’s vehicle in for service and new tires in the past. Chris R. and Jonathon D. sold us some great tires that were reasonably priced and were perfect for winter driving in KC. I was very impressed with the wait time on a busy Saturday. Keep up the great work!
Made an appointment to get my tire fixed. They told me it would be done in an hour and they would call me. I called them in two hours. They didnt even look at it or remember what was wrong with it or what tire it was. Then they said they were closing. Wont be going there again. What a waste of time.
Will never return to this or any other Firestone. In September I took my P/U in for a flat repair. The tire was fixed the following day however when I picked my truck up I was informed that while backing my truck out of the shop the tech. backed into something. It hit the rear bumper so hard that the bedside was buckled and I was unable to open the tailgate . Long story short I never heard any thing from Firestone so I turned it in to my insurance company. I finally heard from Firestone and when I told them I turned it in to my insurance company they didnt have anything else to say to me. I had to pay my deductible to get my truck repaired and have never received that back so apparently Firestone chooses not to reimburse my insurance company for the damage they caused. To add insult to injury they made me pay for the tire repair. Very poor response from a major corporation. The manager at the Firestone store in Shawnee never once came out of the shop to inspect the damage on my truck. Pathetic customer service. It has now been almost a month since I sent the documents you requested.....4 months since this incident happened, and I have yet to hear from ANYONE from Firestone!!!8 months now and NO reimbursement from Firestone!!!!! In fact the insurance company has had to turn it over to a law firm to collect payment. I fail to see why this pathetic excuse of a company will not pay for damaging my vehicle. IT WAS YOUR EMPLOYEE THAT BACKED INTO SOMETHING WHILE BACKING OUT OF YOUR GARAGE!! DO THE RESPONSIBLE THING AND PAY FOR HAVING IT FIXED!! Do not patronize this company EVER! They certainly know nothing about customer service and responsibility.
Chris and his Professional and knowledgeable Staff always take care of our car services. CHECKED ALL OUR BOXES WHILE ENSURING SOCIAL DISTANCING AND SANITATION REQUIRED DURING THESE UNKNOWN TIMES.
Great staff
Way too long of a wait time
Id rate it zero if I could. They quoted me 45 minutes for an oil change and car inspection on the phone. The check in was quick but the service took over 2 hours. Also they said I needed new wiper blades when those were replaced less than a month ago, which made me realize they didnt know what they were talking about and casts doubt on their inspection process. Typical box checking guys at this place that dont know cars, they just read manuals and do the bear minimum.
I’ve been to this Firestone multiple times. I always get honest, reliable service in a timely manner. Usually busy but the staff takes time to explain the work and answer questions.
I usually have my oil change and buy my tires at a Firestone auto care, but I will never go to this Firestone store. They were very very very rude. They wouldnt take 3 minutes of their time to just add air to my tires. I will never go back to this Firestone auto care.Update 9.15.2020 - I tried many times to contact Firestone on the email provided and they responded with a scripted email and they never got back to me. I guess their Corporate office has the same attitude as their local store. So I will never go back to this Firestone store in Shawnee Mission Pkwy.
Outrageous expensive
So this place is a little on the pricey side for me but I do need to point out that they were the ONLY place that helped me out when I needed tires for my truck in a hurry. They had the tires I needed on hand and sent to the store that day so I can have new tires before they closed. The guys were very helpful and friendly. If youre not on a strict budget Id definitely recommend them.
Had a vehicle with a bent tie rod end. He was honest and did not charge for the advice of replacing the tie rod end before attempting an alignment. Chris was very honest and helpful. Great prices and honest advice. He also contributed to the community by giving some needed materials for a scientific experiment for a homeschooling co-op that I teach at.
Wonderful! I will be a returning customer.
The service is awful. I do not recommend purchasing tires or a life time alignment. When attempting to have an auto re-aligned with the life time alignment, we received nothing but excuses why it would not work including the REAR shocks. It took yelling to get them to align the car.I will never buy Firestone again, their are to many other less expensive options.
Chris, Tim, and Jonathan are great. They are efficient and always do a good job. They care about their customers at this location.
Excellent service. They didnt try to BS me into products I didnt need. And, every time I have heard about them messing anything up, they knock quite a bit off of the bill.
Very disappointing. I made an early AM appointment and even called the evening before to confirm. The gentleman I spoke with indicated my appointment would take no more than 2 hours tops. Meaning I would have it back before noon. arrived for my appointment only to be rudely told I would have to leave my car there ALL DAY because I have a huge stack of paperwork and other cars ahead of you. It was 8 AM!!! I was getting a high mileage oil change, and under my warranty, a tire rotation, balance and alignment. The gentleman was very rude and short with me. I cancelled my appointment, called McCarty Morse Chevrolet and they were able to get me right in. I am not the first in my family to be disappointed by this Firestone location that overpromises and under delivers EVERY.TIME!!
Took in my car for a simple break job which I was quoted 3 different prices and now my car which is my only means of transportation is now broke down and wont start
Purchased 2 new tires. Chris was good at getting the tires ordered. Garage staff hurries thru work
I scheduled an appointment a week in advance for 9 AM, Saturday before last (10/26), and was told that I could drop off my car that Friday night. I received a call from the store that Saturday at 8:27 AM, and was told that I did not appear to have an appointment, and that I MIGHT be able to get my car back Monday if I was willing to wait. I insisted that I DID have an appointment, and after the person on the phone realized he had to click a button or something to go to another screen, my appointment was found, and I was told that they would try to work me in. Later, at around 4:30 PM, I received another call in which I was informed that the only person able to work on my problem (AC) had left sick around noon, even though he wanted to stay. Why was I not informed of this earlier, you ask? They forgot. Of course.I was again told that I *might* be able to pick up my car Monday, but I decided that I would rather go somewhere else, because, frankly, I dont have a lot of time to mess around. Im not saying Im special because Im busy, but I seriously dont have time for this maybe stuff.I was told in advance that repairs could end up being around $1500 when I set up the appointment initially, and was asked if I wanted to wait, but I said no because I had already been putting it off, and I wanted to get it taken care of ASAP.Anywho, when I went back to pick up my car on Sunday, my car was, for some reason, in the garage, even though I said that I did not want them to work on it, which was annoying, because did they start working on it anyway? They didnt, but why was it in there? No one knew. Cool, cool. The gentleman who brought my car out said that I should call corporate about my horrible experience. Not a good sign when your employee thinks you should call corporate. Apparently, the people in the office are more worried about playing on their phones than, you know, making sure people actually get their cars fixed.I thought leaving a Google review would be a good idea so that people might not waste their time with this location. Ive actually heard bad things about the company before, but this is the first time Ive had a poor experience. Definitely not going to risk going to another Firestone, though. Here again, I know Im not special, and I know that in the scheme of things, losing me as a customer is not really going to impact anything, just thought someone else might benefit from hearing about my experience.
We have been a loyal customer for close to 20 years with Firestone in Shawnee, KS on Shawnee Mission Parkway. Until yesterday, this has changed. Purchased new tires for our Toyota Sienna at 87k miles along with a lifetime alignment package. Brought in the van every 5k miles for oil changes and tire rotations. Never once has it been recommended to have our car to be aligned based upon irregular wear that their technicians have noticed. It took our Toyota dealer to alert us of an issue to which we brought it to Firestones attention. They acknowledged that our tires would not make it to the 60k mile mark as this is what the tires are rated at. They told us that they would adjust us for new tires. Upon our visit to have this done yesterday, they have now denied this adjustment because we have no record of there being an alignment service being done during this time. They told me that it was our responsibility to tell them that we should have an alignment check. Apparently, the technicians can make recommendations for new batteries, air filters, etc based upon what they notice and deem to be an issue, but cant seem to come to us and say that there is a problem with our tires. We rely on their expertise to tell us that something is wrong. It should not be the other way around. So, we have paid for 60k mile tires that have been worn irregular after 30k miles. We have told them what Toyota has told us and they acknowledged that we have an issue, but still failed to even suggest to re-allign the vehicle. We are now out on some expensive tires and such poor customer service. The way that they treated us was so bad that I was beyond upset. This is how we are treated after 20 years of being a loyal customer. Wow!
Always takes care of the customer and lets you know up front if its going to take longer than anticipated. The store crew accommodates to the best of their ability. Ive never had an issue after bringing my car in for maintenance or issues.
I was buying a used car and had a pre-purchase inspection done here. It was thorough, useful, and quick. Great service.
Need to update hours. On here it says 8am (so does their website) but when I walk up to the door it’s was manually changed to 9am. I was counting on getting help today with the only time I have available. Thanks a lot I will be taking my business elsewhere.
When leaving work late on a very cold night in March, my low tire pressure light came on. I asked Siri to find a Firestone station for me.The closest was on Shawnee Mission Parkway near I-35. It was 15 minutes before closing. I went inside & explained the problem. Looking over at the garage, it was completely full of cars being serviced. The 2 men working (both names began with A) were awesome! They moved a car out of the garage so they could fill my tire. I know they were most likely anxious to get home and it was only 8 degrees outside. They could have simply said they did not have room, but they saved me a huge amount of trouble that night. THAT is service!
Seriously, I miss my appointment at 11:30am call them that Ill be dropping the car off at noon and well be back by 5pm to pick it up. Got off work and came to pick the car, they just pull the car in like as soon as I got there. Ask one of the guy that work at the counter that why is just now that theyre working in my car, I drop it off at noon. He said after I missed my appointment, they had other things to do beside my car. Like seriously, they had 5 hours before I got off. Never again coming back to this place, rude services and all.
After having a less than perfect experience, the area manager was able to right a wrong. I am increasing the rating based on the actions of the area manager, not the store. Please make sure your techs clean the wheels before installing new tires. Also, if this mistake happens... you should not make customers go through multiple channels to get taken care of in a efficient manner that is reasonable to both parties.
I always feel comfortable going to Firestone. They dont try to push me into services I dont need or want (which lets face it, theres places that take advantage of people who are not car savvy). I love that this Firestone is great to work with.
They have a $ 9.99 inspection a really good deal. Other than that they are very reluctant to do major repairs. For those you should find a good local dealer.
Scheduled an appointment and got an email confirmation, but when I got there for my app. They told me they couldn’t fit me in. They have a poor scheduling process because he also said he had 7 other people who had apps that day that he’d have to turn down.
Be very cautious of them. I went to get my alternator changed, and a month later my steering started messing up. Turns out, my power steering pump was magically removed and my hose was split... I had JUST repaired the power steering hose and now it’s split?!Don’t go here. Go around the corner to a local, more honest place.
DO NOT GO. trust me I’m not the person to write reviews or bash companies cause i know we’re all human & make mistakes. I went to get 4 new tires & first of all it took like 4 hours but i stayed & waited the whole time. My tire light came on right after so i told them & they told me it probably hadn’t recognized the new tires yet? So i left. Got home. Came out later & one of the tires was COMPLETEY flattened. So long story short i called them, they sent a tow, tried to make ME pay for the tow truck. They said they only looked at my tire cause i purchased the insurance on the tires ??? Idk still sitting here crying in their lobby seeing what’s gonna happen. Just don’t want this happening to anybody else. Firestone: get new employees & do better.
Made an appointment for an oil change and brake check....... thought it was all done when they called me up to the counter almost TWO HOURS after I showed up. Well, it was only to tell me they were finally taking my car back. Fast forward another hefty chunk o time and I am finally told I need my brakes and rotors changed front and back. I dont know a lot about cars, but I did know my rear brakes were newer than the front, so I opted just to get the front brakes done. $330 and over 3 hours later, I am finally out of there. I ended up taking my car to another (non-Firestone) shop to do another brake check on my rear brakes a week later because I was worried I might actually need it done... What was the result? Mechanic: who told you that you needed new back brakes AND rotors? They still have over 40% life on them! So, thanks, Firestone. I sincerely hope this was just a subpar mechanic issue, and not someone preying upon a young woman coming into an autoshop that is seen as an easy target to swindle.
Told us our car was ready for pickup...we drove across town to get here paid for an alignment that was never completed...now we have to wait sit around and wait an hour..unbelievable
Took my car there because it was making a knocking noise when I turn right. I had just had them put new tires and an alignment on my car about a month prior. They call and tell me that its the tie rod and they will have to replace the entire rack & pinion. They went over the charges and said that they would also have to do a power steering flush in conjunction with the other service. Sounded legit.A few months later when taking my car elsewhere for service I handed the tech my receipts so he could see what services had already been performed so he didnt duplicate anything. He laughed a little bit and asked how Firestone did a power steering flush on my car since my car doesnt have power steering fluid since the power steering is ELECTRIC. Good question. How can they bill and claim to perform a service that is physically impossible to perform? Im headed over there shortly to have the $49.99 refunded. I hate that I cant give them a zero star review...so disregard the one star.
Avoid if at all possible. I went in for a simple oil change and I have never experienced such poor professionalism from routine maintenance before. It started with a broken dip stick during the oil change. I completely understand things happen and I wasnt too bothered by the problem because they were ordering another one and replacing it. However, after I hadnt heard from them for a week (and yes, they had my number because the employee read my number off to me from my Firestone information in the system), I called and was told they wrote the VIN number down wrong and needed me to come back in. I came in with the VIN written down only to be teased in a condescending manner if I had written the number down right. They never took/looked at what I had brought in, but had an employee go out and check (ok, fine, I understand they need to cover their own butts by doing it themselves - but please, how hard is it to copy numbers/letters?). A week later I still hadnt heard anything back about the part. When I called to check, I was told they had AGAIN written down the wrong VIN number. Once the service manager took down the information himself, I had it taken care of that day. So what should have been a simple and quick fix ended up taking nearly 3 weeks to finally be completed. Never going back.
Been going to Firestone for a decade dating back to the prior city I lived in; always felt they were high priced, but at least they were honest. The Shawnee location has really soured me on them since I started visiting them two years ago for several reasons.1) They have never taken my car at the appointed time. I could schedule an oil change a week before at opening, and I would still have to wait.2) Their manager are rude and condescending. That I came back after the first time is shame on me.3) The quality of work is subpar. My recent one axle brake job not only cost me a ridiculous $800, they didnt sufficiently pump the brakes, so the linkage feels lose. This will be my last time to attend this location.
Thievery! Brandi took her car to the Firestone on Shawnee Mission Pkwy. She had a sandwich baggie full of change in the center console. I saw it yesterday, it was full of quarters! When she picked the car up she found nothing but nickels and pennies in the bag, she was missing around $20.I saw the change. It was definitely there. She calls Firestone and they say oh, that wasnt us because a really religious guy worked on your car and he wouldnt do that.Beware of this Firestone! They will literally steal from you and not offer to do anything to make it right!
This place is a disaster, do yourself a favor and find a different place . Made an appointment for a slow leak in a tire and an oil change . They called and explained my problem, which I didnt know i had, the cost was over $250.00 . When I left my house the next day I noticed the tire with the slow leak still had the slow leak . I went immediatly back to Firestone and the service writer with an ATTITUDE said I would have to leave it that they were busy . Didnt hear anything so around 6 PM I went back over there and was told that all the tecnicians had gone home for the day . My vehicle hadnt been touched . WHAT A COMPLETE WASTE OF MY TIME AND MONEY WILL NEVER GO TO ANOTHER FIRESTONE OR 4 DAY TIRE AGAIN .
Made an appt online that was not honored when I arrived because they were too busy and was told because I didnt call, even though nothing is mentioned on the website about having to call to confirm an appt made online. Went somewhere else without an appt and they were able to fit me in, and charged less for the same service.
Stay away from this place! I had a 2003 Chevy S-10 Standard transmission that I brought in to be serviced at this location. They told me it needed a clutch fluid change, so I listened to them. A couple weeks later my clutch was feeling sticky and not quite right. I had the clutch replaced 3,000 before they changed the fluid by a different mechanic. I take the truck back to them and tell them it is shifting oddly and they look at it and say I need a new clutch. I ask them to explain why and the mechanic says the flywheel was machined wrong I asked to explain to me how it was machined wrong and he didnt have an answer. I poked around and found a different local mechanic and that mechanic took a look at it and said they put brake fluid into the clutch instead of clutch fluid. He changed the fluid and my truck ran like a top ever since. I dont think they are smart enough to have planned this but instead so grossly incompetent they couldnt figure out their own mistake.
These guys are amazing they are good at what they do and they dont try to rip you off! Hard to find these days
Tried to take my car for a quick tire patch. They wouldnt do it, I would have to wait until the next day. Decided to take my business elsewhere.
Best firestone out there. chris and the team are great!
6 hour to change 1 tire and do an alignment. Lost the mechanic that was working on my car. Produced I would have my car back to for an appointment I was charged because I missed it. The guy that check me in light when I told him what they didStay away from this place
Got an oil change and my tires rotated and balanced under 45 minutes . Great Job Jonathan
Arrived at opening and they were too booked to assist with a flat tire. Not the place to go when needing something fixed fast. The staff was friendly.
From a year ago (just had an unpleasant reminder). Went in with a working AC and a coupon for an AC checkup. Left with a non-working AC, a whoops for trying to top off the AC and breaking it, and a quote for a $1,500 repair. And Service took more than an hour longer than quoted. Other Firestones Ive been to were fine for tires. Avoiding this one all together, and sticking with tires for them overall.
They technically did the job but left my car an absolute mess (wrench, jack, and cover literally thrown in the trunk, not back in their place) and took 1.75 hours longer than expected despite an articulated urgency.
Good quality shop, first time good repair. Not the cheapest but they do very good work.
They do good work but want you to spend more on extras after you buy their tires.
No safety standards and management was totally unconcerned ! After a battery purchase my car stalled at 70mph/ 10 pm / and sub zero temp in the middle lane of I-435 !!!Tow truck driver raised my hood to find battery cable LITERALLY flapping in the breeze.A week later there is a news story about a car stalled on the same interstate- but the semi could not see them and hit them full-on.Without a battery you have no lights, no dashboard, and no engine power. You only have sheer terror. This came from someone not paying attention when clamping the new battery. For the sake of your loved ones, do NOT service your vehicle here. !!!!!
The absolute worst and DISHONEST experience I have ever had at an auto shop. Completely botched the entire service. I went in for a flat repair, alignment and Chassis Lube. The mechanic first removed my Center cap for no reason as the lug nuts are accessible without remiving it (that in turn led to the stripping of the center cap bolts and losing my center cap). They did manage to repair the flat tire although they charged me for approximately $18 worth of TPS Service Parts but my vehicle does not have TPS. They then proceeded to make up excuses why they could not do the alignment due to my wheel Style. And finally charged me for a chassis Lube that did not get done. I noticed the chassis lube and not been done right off the get-go and immediately complained the tech came out and said that he had done the chassis Lube. I showed him multiple grease zerks that were obviously not lubricated. Later that day I finally spoke to a manager on the phone and told him of the terrible experience I had had in detail. He agreed that they had botched the whole service and were willing to refund me my money. I told him that I wasnt going to drive all the way back at the Shawnee that day for a refund but I would be in the next time I was in the area. A few weeks later I stopped in on a Wednesday and was told that the manager was not there and they were unable to refund me my mone. I left my name and phone number with the request that the manager call me to work out mailing me a check and have never heard from him since. Its tough being mechanically inclined in this world and having things done buy service shops, because in my experience they are almost always out to get you. Whether it be unintentional or deliberately ripping you off. It is my professional mechanical opinion that this shop impart was deliberately ripping customers off by charging parts that are not even applicable for their vehicle and then employing poorly educated or lazy service techs that claim to have done work that was never completed. I will absolutely never be visiting this Firestone service center ever again and highly recommend that nobody else does unless you are willing to check everything that they supposedly did and be prepared to put up a fight about the crummy service that you received.
Horrible customer service popped a tire @ 7 am and was rudly told it would be afternoon before they would get to it. They didnt have my tire would have to order ot from the wharehouse, 2 other locations found & shagged the tires for me. Not fond of tirestone to begin with this seals the deal for me!!!!!
These guys are snakes!! Tried to get me for a $600 dollar weel baring. Only needed tires. Once I mentioned my warranty they backed off and said they couldnt do the work. Took my car to Percision auto just around the corner on Nieman. An honest mechanic named Lee told me it was just my tires.Crooked shop!! Stay away!!!
Chris is awesome does great job
The store manager was rude condescending and tried to over charge me! Firestone will never get my business ever based on my experience at this location! I Strongly suggest to anyone to look elsewhere for tire service.
I booked an appointment online for 2 new tires. I showed up at appointed time for the service, and the man at the counter was rude about everything: I shouldnt have used the online system but instead should have called (sounds like a company issue); I didnt give them any info about my car (I had entered everything into the online system when I booked the appt); it would be a minimum 2 hour wait to get 2 new tires (typically this should be a 30-45 min service with an appointment). All of this was told to me in a condescending tone. His attitude was rude until I decided to leave. Only when he was at risk of losing a customer did he start acting like someone who wanted my business. Too little, too late. I got my tires at a mom-and-pop garage where my business is valued.
Great service, I wont go to any other store!
I took my car to firestone with an issue in the POWER STEERING. I specifically asked that they inspect it because I suspected there was a leak and it might need replacement. I signed a work order for a $50 inspection of my POWER STEERING. Upon receiving a call back from firestone I was informed that my POWER STEERING was okay and it didn’t need any work, however the reason my steering was difficult was because an AC belt had snapped and supposedly that’s what was making my steering harder. The mechanic on the phone quoted me almost $900 to fix it and assured me that was the problem (I even made sure to specifically ask if this would fix my STEERING, because that’s all I needed fixed.) I was assured this fix would fix everything. So I told them to go ahead and do the work, I mean I’m 20 years old and I know nothing about cars so I assumed that firestone was providing me accurate information, seeing as how I paid $50 for my POWER STEERING to be looked at. Never one time did I mention anything about my AC, only after I was told that would fix my steering did I agree to let them work of it. So I go in and pick up my car and pay the $900. About 3 days later my steering was getting jumpy again and kind of difficult. So about another week and a half goes by and my steering is GONE again. Just like before I ever took it to firestone. I took the car to a mechanic friend that I have and asked what the problem could be since I was assured everything was fixed. I explained to him exactly what I was told. He then informed me that an AC belt has NOTHING to do with your POWER STEERING. He checked the level of fluid in my power steering and told me it was EMPTY. Which indicates there is a leak, something that should have been VERY obvious when I paid for an inspection of my POWER STEERING. I went to Walmart and bought 4 bottles of power steering fluid and my steering will last about a day before it starts to give out again. I was lied to repeatedly by Firestone and when called and confronted about it all they had to say was that I signed the paper to agree to the work done on my car. Which is true, but it was signed under the pretext that it would fix my steering. Essentially all they did was FIX MY AIR CONDITIONER. THEY DIDNT EVEN FIX THE PROBLEM. On the invoice I received it Indicated they added a pint of steering fluid, which that on its own should have alerted to a leak because it shouldn’t run out in the first place. Worst of all my engine smokes now since they worked on my car and when I open my hood the ENTIRE engine and underside of my hood are completely covered in power steering fluid.I would not recommend this firestone to my worst enemy. They took advantage of the fact that I am 1. Young and 2. Don’t know anything about cars. Which wouldn’t have mattered anyway I suppose since I knew what the problem was and asked that it be fixed. FIRESTONE decided to take it upon themselves to LIE to me about he condition of my power steering and then LIE to me about an AC belt affecting my steering so they could charge me almost $1000 instead of the few hundred it would cost to fix my power steering.Never EVER go to this firestone. They are the most dishonest mechanics I have ever been to. If you ever need to go get work on your car I recommend Anders Automotive. He fixed my alternator for a low price and it hasn’t given even ONE issue since then. I went to firestone in a pinch bc my steer went out over the weekend and they were the only auto shop open. But you could NOT pay me to go back to them for ANY kind of work I need done.WORST MECHANICS EVER.
Very quick service excellent and reasonable rates
Friendly customer service...quick appointment time
Stay miles away. I swear the General Manager has no control over this crew. However, the Sales Floor Manager runs this circus like a babbling monkey on crack.Steer clear & be safe my friends.Ben
Went to make a payment on a Saturday only to find out that they were closed, online it states they don’t close until 7pm on Saturdays but here at the building it says 6pm. You guys should really update your online information before your customer waste their time and gas to come out to the store!!! It’s 2018 guys.
Great team.
No high pressure sales, they give it to you straight and Ive never had a padded bill. What they tell you up front is what you pay.
They used the wrong oil and filter. After realizing their mistake, they refunded my money. Mistakes happen.
My husband has been taking his vehicle to this center for a few years, but had only utilized oil change services. My car began having problems and after getting a read out from Advanced Auto parts we took the car in to get a recommendation for service. The service providers recommended they run a full diagnostic test that will pinpoint the exact problem. We went ahead paid the $79.99 +tax for a full test of my vehicle. Five hours later Shawn(technician/manager) calls and tells us we need to replace all 4 spark plugs and coils for $700.00!!!! We went to review the test and he gave us the Pcode readouts exactly like Advance auto parts!! He was unable to identify which coil was bad so he states that I should replace all 4 coils. Firestone never did any extra tests and was never able to pinpoint the exact problem. The worst part about it is that when I took my car for an another opinion they actually opened the hood and did real tests on it to find that all four coils are good, that my spark plugs are misfiring and need replaced for a total of $71.42. WOW!The entire experience at Firestone was very unethical.
Great service and prices, no b.s.
All I did tonight was drop off car for oil change. They will do a courtesy check and brake inspection for free and then I have a coupon for oil change. They were friendly and even though they couldnt find my appointment they were able to still get us in for time we had originally set.
John and shop are very courteous. Brought my truck into shop 4 different times. Non fixed. Was told overloadedTruck then told i wasnt. Went to my mechanic. Fixed problem in 2 hours. Im not sure mechanics at firestone know what they are doing. Im waiting for manager to call back. Ive been a loyal customer till now. Sales rep said if dealership fixes and it was firestone fault that i would be reimbursed forit. Ill leave this here till i hear back from manager or corp office.
Chris Romero is the general manager of this location and he takes care of his customers no matter what! Recommend to anybody!
This is the best Firestone in terms of customer service and turnaround.
Too busy, not helpful.
Always take my Pontiacs here, the service is fast and they will at least give you real estimates to work with no surprises. Fairly expensive though...
I had two flats on my benz. Firestone was the closest to my home. I called ahead to see if they had capacity, which they did and had the car towed to their location. I got it in the queu for service. As I was walking out the door, the service manager ambushed me and said his cursory review of the tires indicated unusual wear on the inside which indicated an alignment problem. He asked if I wanted to take care of the alignment during the tire change. I internally questioned how they could make that assessment in minutes and recognized it as a high pressure ambush and said no thank you. I got home and the phone rang - the salesman called to tell me that I have to replace all four tires and not just the two flat ones. The reason is that since it is a 4Matic (all wheel drive), the manufacturer recommends that the tire tread depth be not more that 2/32 difference between any of the tires. I said I owned the vehicle for 7 years, and changed the tires several times, and never heard this crazy story. He said he couldnt take liability for the transmission failing due to not installing tires per manufacturers recommendations. I called corporate Firestone and complained about the underhanded tactics (ambush and fraudulent sales tactics). Store manager called me the next day and stuck with the story his sales-sheister tried to sell me - manufacturers recommendation. I parried and counter-attacked with mechants requirement of good faith and fair dealing per the Uniform Commercial Code. He called not two hours later to say he contacted three benz dealerships who offered differing opinions about tire recommendations (there are only two benz dealerships in Kansas City metro area both owned by the same entity). He said he could install the two tires if I signed a waiver. I said there was no way Id give him my business. I went to pick up the car. They made me sign a document accepting the vehicle and they backed it out of their shop with one tire flat. I limped down the block 150 feet to the Goodyear and they took care of me for 2/3 the price and no hassle, and no ambushes as I was leaving. SAVE YOURSELF TIME, MONEY AND HEADACHES, JUST TAKE IT TO GOODYEAR 150 FEET DOWN THE ROAD.
I was in a position where they could have ripped me off or told me anything. Instead, they were honest with me, and fixed the problem at minimum cost.
Great guys and straight forward service.
