The staff was helpful and was able to give an explanation for the bad reviews you see. They were not yet able to operate as they had not yet had an inspection cleared. It has sense been cleared and everything is running smoothly. They have almost everything you’d need and a large variety of costumes and props. Happy Halloween everyone!

Seriously disappointed!! I have attempted to go to this store twice and both times they are closed when the website says they should have been open. BOTH times someone came out apologized but told me for one reason or another they were not open yet. Told me to come back at another time. I feel like they open whenever they feel like it instead of at posted time or on posted days. I recommend the drive to Gastonia. Horrible business plan!!

I do apologize to you Mrs.Pruiett and you Mr. Holtzclaw for the inconvenience you encountered in the delay of our opening. Unfortunately the site had the wrong time listed for the first few weeks after we had opened. We tried our best to get with every single person we would see approach the doors to apologize and give an estimated time wed be open g. I hope you decide to give the store visit and see that my team and myself have worked very hard to bring a exceptional halloween store to the area.

So far so bad... They claim to be open from 10 am to 9pm.. Tje current time is 1146 am and ive seen 14 people attempt to go to the door and open it and its locked. No offence halloween city but if you want customers then you should probably open when you say your going to open. Now im not sure what the issue is, but i know Shelby Nc is excited to have this place, because otherwise its a drive to get supplies and costumes, gastonia, hickory etc.... Tge addition of halloween city could bring some much needed life to this paticular plaza if they play all cards correctly.. Through traffic here minus the ABC store is limited at best. With halloween city here the foot traffic has the potential to increase significantly so please do us a favor and open your doors or chamge your website to include somerhing along the lines of sorry technical difficulties or now hiring or anything really to give the public a timeline of actual opening of the store... Once its open I will be by and go in and give a better review for now one star
