I decided I needed a new raised garden and I headed off to my local box lumber store and began looking around. Friendly workers, but insanely overpriced and the wood was not that great. Then I found this place.Its a short, very pretty drive out to their location. I was greeted by a worker who I gave my measurements to and he quickly told me exactly how much lumber I needed. He pointed me to the area of barn and cedar wood piles and off I went.Quick, painless and the place was serene. Odd, I know. I caught myself just standing and looking at the open space behind their shop. Very pretty. He loaded up my truck and off I went.Its nice to have a high grade furniture quality location close to Lexington. My next building adventure will be headboards.

Beats the big box stores by a mile. They are rough cut but less than half the price. The boards will need minimal passes through the planner to be smooth. I purchased some beautiful poplar that was riddled with mineral stains giving it the purple green color. I also purchased some red cedar for making some outdoor patio furniture. The guy that helped me was new to the place but did a great job helping me out.

These guys were very helpful. I didnt have a big project I was shopping for but they worked with me patiently as I picked every single board. I will be back, especially for some slabs.

First time Ive been there and was treated very courteous and friendly.Jeff was a great help in finding a very nice piece of shagbark hickory.The board will be worked into a one piece dashboard for a 1972 Triumph Spitfire MK IV.

Great people and helpful with their product. I went there just to see what sort of product they had, mainly looking for some turning stock wood for my lathe. Most of what they had today was either too thin for my needs or had splits. I did get a few items though and the yard worker cut some osage orange for me since they had a small piece and there was none on the shelf and he showed me some nice and some not as nice lumber. Would be better if the storage was farther away from the saw mill because the dust makes it harder to see some of the wood but they are working on that and have some in another area so cant fault them there. The road to the place was a bit rough but the price isnt too bad depending on what you get. The turning blanks would be better sealed and waxed but the service was great and there is some nice product.

We appreciated the personal assistance with picking the lumber and loading it up. We bought cedar and used it to build beautiful garden boxes for a nursing home.Again,Thank you

I dont know what kind of bug quackers has up his rear end, but when I arrived I found the most helpful bunch of wood workers I have ever met. They specialize in furniture grade lumber. Note it is a sawmill its not finished or so to say planned for you, apparently quack isnt a real wood worker, he may need one of those paint by number type things lol. Great people great customer service two thumbs up. You can even bring them a log and they will custom saw it for you and dry it. :-) super pleased!
