I recently had my car towed by Shelton police in which The Shop 110 were the guy called to pick the car up. The tow truck driver did not properly secure his load to the bed. So I made sure to follow him to the shop. Minutes away fro mother shop on surf Ave, as he picked up speed my European Spec VW bumper flew off the bed sliding at max 100 feet. When brought to Williams attention, he began to curse me out stating “ he does not give a **** about what his driver did or didn’t do. As well he then would not pay for damages nor try to rectify the situation. Even going as far as to try and ask what I’m using the bumper for in collateral to justify why he shouldn’t have to repaint/ buff out the damages his company did. The first photo is what it look like before hand the ones after are in his back lot when picking the car up. I can’t speak on his actual work as a body guy, however I can speak on his character and how he handle business and his mistakes, he is not diligent and honest in his approach.

After my car was severely damaged while parked in a grocery store lot by a hit an run red vehicle I brought it to 110 Auto Body, who were highly recommended, on a Monday for body work. Bill the owner and his office manager John were in communication with my insurance company and had all the paperwork ready, dropped off my keys, had a courier from Enterprise from the other side of town drop off a rental so I was not inconvenienced, signed off for the rental with a full tank, given the keys and sent on my merry way assuring me they will keep me inform throughout the process as they started pulling my car apart. This took under 20 minutes. With thoughts of covid 19 effecting every moving part of our county I thought it would take forever to find parts. To my surprise, I received a call that my car was ready that following Thursday and could pick it up at anytime. I was overwhelmed with the body work and the paint job I had a brand new car!! They even went above and beyond had the car realigned because the car took a hard hit on the passenger side above the wheel, and washed my car, spotless inside and out!!! Bill and his team are topnotch, detailed professionals that take pride in their quality of workmanship! It took 10 minutes from when I gave them the loaner vehicle keys, signed paperwork, gave my keys back, checked the repairs and went on my merry way with my beautiful safe car. If you want a poor job and a car painted two different colors then this is a place for you. They attempted to work on my quarter panel and messed that up. One side looks a little bulky and uneven. They needed to do more sanding before they painted it. My car is blue. They painted it blue with a greet tint on. When the sun shines you can clearly see the green not blue. Also, the undercarriage is covered in paint as well as the wheel well. They told me that if I want the car repainted I have to go through the insurance company again.

My car was done when they said. They worked with the insurance company and called the rental car agency. They were wonderful and my car looks brand new!

I use to do light auto body years ago so my judgement might be slightly picky. My 1999 black Camaro rear quarter panel was pretty messed up and had a buddy pull it out and do light amount of Bondo with me. These cars are not easy when it comes to body work and also black paint is stubborn to deal with when it comes to swirl marks and imperfections. These guys did it for a very cheap price and someone that has a good eye like me the quality was 100% perfect and dont know how they pulled it off. The DRAWBACK was whoever did the prepping did a horrible job tapping off the car. The windows and chrome rim had a good amount of over spray and the hatch where the window meets the quarter panel looked like they tapped it off and it came undone due high humidity since it was in the middle of summer and it was 90 degrees and very humid. So now there is gray bumpy over spray that is shaped like the tape they used and size was about one inch by two inches and easy to notice even at 10ft away and my friends said that it was crazy they didnt fix that noticeable error. The person who washed it must of had a freakin power washer since I had some clear coat that was peeled off ( common on GM cars) and from a size of a cell phone now the clear coat that was damage and removed was the size of a football and didnt notice since they parked the car with the finish job facing the building and it started to lightly rain. This location was the other side of the car and it was the rear bumper that Im talking about. I didnt bother to go back or complain because they did do an awesome job on the damaged quarter panel and reshaping it and the over spray on the back window and rims I removed with 91% rubbing alcohol lightly dabbed on a paper towel. I will post pictures when I have a chance but these people are great and the price was crazy cheap and I couldnt even see any swirl marks especially shinning a bright light at night. I have never see perfection like this at any local body shop and looked like it came off the GM assemble! Oddly he said it was okay to wax the car but I was always taught to let the gases escape the fresh paint for 30-60 days then you can seal it with a good wax. I use distilled water when washing that side since tap water has harsh chemicals and minerals. Plus my water is hard at my house and I dont have a water softener and filtering system.
