Awful if not dangerous! Consistently either just barely on-time after medication ran out or downright late on their auto-refills, usually by a number of days for severe time-sensitive disability medication. After some number of years putting up with this place in hopes it got better, my positive experiences remain in the single digits despite at least once-monthly visits. This most recent fiasco was the tipping point and I will never use a Walgreens again. After exhausting my entire grace period of leftover meds, they still failed to get it filled on time. A competitor some distance away had a few more days worth, but even then Walgreens claimed they were backlogged on their ability to transfer the script to another pharmacy and couldnt for a few days after that. Even when no Walgreens in the entire state carried what I needed, either. What the hell is that?! I had to go to the hospital to take medicine I should have had days ago!
Frankly Ive never experienced the myriad of problems others have had at this Walgreens .I have several scripts filled regularly and any issues have been resolved fairly quicklyWhat I will say is this pharmacy is TOO busy and they need more pharmacy space. If you want to pick up at the drive thru plan on waiting 15-30 min. I have never been there when there is less than 4 cars in line. I always go inside tho as its quicker.
If I could give this business a negative I would. Unsuccessfully tried to get a prescription transferred from another Walgreens location. Was told they didn’t find Rx in my profile. Advised to check for generic. RX located but informed they could not complain transfer. Original location insisted they could. Inept & unprofessional. Do not waste your time with this pharmacy.
This is the worst pharmacy I have ever used! 3 times my doctor called in my prescriptions and the pharmacy said that they never were called in but they actually had been. The pharmacist and pharmacy technicians are extremely rude and need to take classes on customer service and how to deal with customers in a pharmacy setting. I am having all my prescriptions transferred to CVS. Sheltons Walgreens pharmacy is the worst pharmacy I have ever used. Rudest pharmacy staff I’ve ever experienced!
Always have what I need and great specials. Staff is always helpful and friendly.
Waits are crazy staff is rude and if a pharmacy like walgreens has to shut down for lunch you are understaffed. I think you make enough money to properly staff.
I tried to transfer my medication to this pharmacy but the guy who answered the phone was rude and he said he wasn’t able to see my prescription in the system, and that I have to call the other Walgreens for them to give me the names of the medications, I called the other Walgreens and they said that he can see the medication in the system, so he did not want to help me.Bad service in this pharmacy.Mananger’s should do something.
The store is by far one of the most aestheticly pleasing Walgreens inside! The aisles are laid out on the oblique, which makes it easy to preview where you want to walk, instead of guessing only to find out that now you have to walk the other way. No Treasure Map needed!! I really like this!ADHERES FULLY WITH COVID-19 CURRENT PUBLIC HEALTH MEASURESI was at the pharmacy for my Covid-19 vaccine.Austen, the intake person was friendly, professional adept at logging me in, finding my insurance files and helpful with the forms to fill outNina the pharmacist/practitioner was professional, and exacting with the precautionary information sheet.Ive had plenty of injections in my life, Nina gave me the Best injection everThis was the smoothest appointment schedule for a vaccine you could imagine! To top it off, Walgreens gave me a $5 coupon for in-store shopping while I was waiting. Their so quick I didnt have time.Like getting paid $5 to get a vaccine that was no cost to me. They made my day!Curbside pickup available.Handicapped ♿ parking available.Automatic entry 🚪doors.
I waited at the pharmacy drive thru for 20min. My turn I pull up and they put a sign in the window out to lunch ummm hello?? So rude!! Terrible way to treat a customer!!! At least take everyone that has been waiting! Ill never return to a walgreens!
The store itself has a great deal of grocery items available as well as over The counter medicines. They offer vaccinations and very convenient drive up prescription pickup.
They always give me attitude. Hang up in my face multiple number of times. The worst pharmacy ever.
Incompetent is the only way to describe this pharmacy. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else for prescriptions!
There is something not right at this Walgreens. Whenever I have to get meds filled I get texts from Walgreens that they are ready and waiting and then I get there and there’s nothing. I have this text that they are ready. See? The girl shrugs, “I have nothing In the system”. Nothing? How did I get this text? She knows nothing. Sure. Maybe this is a good place to go if you don’t have a script. It’s a terrible place to go if you just think you should be able to trust the pharmacy do something right. Go elsewhere for that.
Sales associates walking around the store are unaware of products they carry in general and RUDE!!! Also this location appeared to have a good selection of drugstore brand cosmetics; however, upon further inspection I observed that they crowd the shelves with so many different brands and innumerable types of products by each that actually walking out with the specific color/shade you were looking for is impossible! They also only have roughly a meager 1-3 per shade, so if a few customers bought the same shade as you wear prior to you shopping, there wouldnt be anything left. Also many of the product shelves dont have price tags - even if you slide out the clear acrylic shelf where the SKU #s are. Horrid!!!
The pharmacy associates are very disrespectful in general. Today I spoke on the phone with Darrell. Im not sure if I spelled his name correctly. He reminds me a lot of myself. He was super courteous, helpful, and knowledgeable. He either needs a significant raise, promotion or unfortunately, leave Walgreens and pursue his dreams because he has it in him. If the ratings were on a single person, he easily wouldve gotten a 5-star from me. HIRE MORE PEOPLE LIKE HIM or hire him as a district manager. He is a people person and I feel like he can turn around a lot of the negative reviews associated with Walgreens.
Went to get a Tdap shot, I was told it would take half an hour, half hour came and went asked howMuch longer and they said they were waiting on the pharmacist to shake the medicine, we kept waiting and NOTHING she kept filling orders as if we weren’t there waiting, we just got up and left. Never again will I go to the Shelton Walgreens I’ll stick to CVS. This female pharmacist needs more training on Customer Service or a job away from it. Hoping she see’s this, do your job correctly or move so someone else can.
Phenomenal, professional, and patient consultative service! Ana and Bridget were AMAZE! You were so right Ana, the makeup and skincare work perfectly together! Thank you!
I am asking those who needs medications to consider other pharmacies. I work in medical office and I cannot believe how Walgreens Pharmacy representatives in this location are telling me that they cannot find the faxed prescriptions, and that they find the voicemail I left, and that he does not know what else to do or say. Horrible service. I told my patients to consider other pharmacies and I am recommending that you guys do the same.
Pharmacy staff is literally awful, terrible customer service all around.
Gotta give to the store a credit. Busy but i was helped in a prompt time and prescriptions are ready in a timely manner. 5 stars for sure
Large and newer Walgreens. Its a busy Walgreens but the staff is quick to get the lines moving. Well stocked, very clean and friendly/helpful people.
I shop at this Walgreens on Bridgeport Ave. They do have employees that are just wonderful. Just recently I was at this store shopping around and an employee asked me if I needed help. I accepted her help but later decided didnt want the item simply because it was something for my daughter and I felt better if she was able to choose what she wanted. During checkout that same employee insisted to ring up my order. She rudely questioned me about the item. I explained to her I put it back until later and allow my daughter to choose. She demanded that I go get the item and bring to her. I asked why. She very rudely stated that she has been watching. At that point I was not only offended but extremely embarrassed especially due to fact that the checkouts were filled with customers. This cashier was very unprofessional and made a very wrong assumption. I asked this cashier if she would like to search me or my small hand bag. Instead she again demanded that I bring the unwanted item back to her. At that time I insisted her to call her manager as I went to get the item which was nearly impossible for me to remember which pink I chose so I just grabbed what believed to be the correct one. The cashier continued to ring up my order and again I requested to speak to the manager. Customers were complaining about her behavior. Once the manager did sacrifice her time to speak with me, I explained what had happened and how it made feel. I explained that I publicly humiliated. In any event that shoplifting is suspected that situation should be handled by management where there is privacy/confidentiality. This manager didnt show much concern or compassion. I shop at that store daily sometimes more in a day. I know all the employees as they all know me. I spend alot of money in that store not mention the pharmacy that makes thousands off my sick daughter and elderly father every month. I dont steal nor do I need to steal. I work for the Federal Dept of Justice for 15 years now & would never even think of risking not only my job but my reputation over something that costs maybe $8! The manager didnt have much to say besides an apology. Her cashier was the one who owed the apology! My complaint fell on deaf ears and nothing was done. She could have made some type of attempt of resolution, even words of acknowledging what happened to me was wrong. I felt as if this manager had important things to do then deal with customer satisfaction and the unacceptable behavior of her employee which goes to show why this cashier felt it was acceptable to treat me and most likely other customers in such and ignorant manner, because its obviously tolerated and ignored. The same thing with the pharmacy. They tell me at 10am my prescriptions will be ready by 3pm for pick up. I show up at 4-4:30pm and they tell me theyre not ready!!! This has happened to me and many others. Yet it continues regardless of loads of complaints. They obviously dont care and I blame management!! Its unsettling especially when you just want to get out of there and theres only one cashier trying to do her job as best she can with a line of 10 waiting customers who also just want to leave. Then the cashier calls for help yet no help comes. Instead they announce that cosmetics has a open register, or photos. When most are waiting for tobacco products. The only thing keeping that Walgreens alive is that pharmacy which has also taken a turn for its worst this past year. Our Bridgeport Ave is booming and competition will destroy Walgreens if things dont change.
Hey corporate- you need to have more then one pharmacist on during sick season so you can get your customers who have sick kids in and out instead of giving flu shots to people. Put a second pharmacist on!!!
The manager is rude and disrespectful to my grandmother who was asking her questions. she had an attitude and was arguing. won’t go there when she’s working again.
Nice store and employees are helpful and friendly. Maybe Im lucky, but Ive never had a problem at the pharmacy.
The worst pharmacy experience Ive EVER had. I was told my prescription would be ready in 2 hours, came back after 3 hours and it wasnt ready. Returned 2 hours later and they only filled 2 of the 3 prescriptions... the most important one was missing. Returned first thing in the morning and they couldnt find the other perscription and were extremely rude about it. They finally found it but said my insurance wouldnt cover it....no wait, it would and it would be $3 but I had to come back in an hour. I gave them 3 hours, still wasnt ready, 30 more minutes. At this point Ive given up. Im having my doctor call it into another pharmacy. 4 attempts to pick up a prescription over 24 hours when it should have been done in 2? Ill never use then again for anything.
One star is too much... awful service prescriptions are never ready. They run out of drugs constantly so they fill partials and act like they are doing you a favor by making come back for the rest! Today was final straw went through drive thru pulled up to window was ignored then asked to wait then told that the pharmacist “had to do something” and I would need to wait 15 minutes because the pharmacist was giving a flu shot...don’t waste your life at this place.
WORST. PHARMACY. EVER. I gave them my new insurance, but instead of telling me it wasnt going through, they decided to bill my old insurance I didnt have any more. Surprise surprise, after six months my old insurance now wants me to pay them back the $600 they gave Walgreens for my prescriptions. Oh, and also *somehow* my insurance information got deleted 2 months in to my prescription, so I had to give it to them again. They are COMPLETELY unorganized and their customers have to pay (quite literally) for their mistakes. Avoid at ALL costs!
2nd in line and waited 40 min
The pharmacy is a disaster. The staff has a dont care attitude. Lines are often long due to slow processing. You can be next in line at the drive-up window and when it becomesyour turn, the clerk has disappeared and shows up minutes later. The store staff is friendly and helpful.
Open 24 hours! The store is clean and the staff couldnt be friendly your. I always enjoy shopping at this location. Ive never seen a better Walgreens in my experience.
Fast lane is pointless, there is always a problem with prescription pick up. They run out of inventory or give a partial prescription so you have to go back. The wait is always long and the staff can be rude.
The pharmacist sucks at taking down instructions for Prescriptions. I kept getting put on hold time after time after time. I work in the dental field. I barely have time to hold. Get it together ppl.
INCOMPETENT!I placed a refill request 4 days ago for my elderly mother’s diabetic test strips and at 5:30pm this evening when I called the Shelton store to find out if they were ready I was told that they were at that moment submitting a request to the MD! WHAT, you had 4 days! Now it’s the weekend and mom will need the test strips. I asked what me options were and I was told that I could pay out of pocket for them! I asked if Walgreens would be reimbursing me and they said no we don’t do that. I asked to speak to the pharmacist and she was just as useless. I called the corporate office and was told I’m sorry but no one would be in til Monday. So if mom ends up in the hospital over the weekend because Walgreens was careless who will be responsible for the hospital stay and bills for that? This will be the last time I ever use this company for ANYTHING!
May be I will have gave this pharmacy negative stars..But there is no way. My Dr was given prescription to take continuous for 5 days they filled partial prescription and told me take rest in 3-4 days. When I went there to collect rest they said they dont have it.This happened twice. First time they filled somehow by taking from other pharmacy. Second time again they raised there hands. This is really worst. How they can play with health of people. If they cabt refill they have to tell people they cant lean people in mid.
By far the worst Walgreens I have ever been to. On multiple occasions they have given me inaccurate times for when my prescriptions would be ready. And Im not talking by a few minutes, I mean hours. I dropped a prescription off TWO AND A HALF HOURS AGO and its still not ready when I was told it was an hour for it to be filled. There is also long lines every time I visit this location. I am either going to use CVS on Hawley Ln. Or the 24 hour Walgreens on Barnum Ave because Im tired of this awful service.
Great pharmacy & the staff is extremely nice & goes out of there way to help you with anything you need.
I shop here at times and I think the cashier who is probably in her 50s, caucasian, is racist. I noticed everytime when I enter the store, she never says hello or Welcome to Walgreens but Ive noticed she says that to other customers either they were in front of me as we entered the store or Ive noticed that when Im already in the store and I heard her say that to the customer and I would look to see what nationality the customer is. And at times she wouldnt have any customer and still wont say anything.Im Pacific Islander, even if Im in regular clothes or in my scrubs, she wouldnt say hi to me unless if Im at the checkout. I could be jumping to conclusion but its not just once this happened. Other cashiers would say hi to me .
Horrible pharmacy. Very slow and while waiting for them to figure out how to correctly bill the medication through my insurance I watched at least 5 more people have issues. One they put the wifes name on her husbands medications. This is a malpractice location in the making.
Careless, bumbling, irresponsible and dismissive. Every month I have done over $750 worth of business here (billed through my insurance) having prescriptions filled for my child. Those days are over. They ALWAYS run out of inventory on commonly prescribed medications, and they are the world champions of partially filled prescriptions. The attitude of the pharmacy staff here makes the crew at the Department of Motor Vehicles look like All Stars. This is medication that you are dealing with and in our case it keeps my child alive. How many times can you make a parent leave their home to keep coming back so that you can piece meal their childs medication? Youve lost my business forever.
This happened more than 3 timesI had to wait for very long time some times upto 2 hrs to pick up excuse always given have few pharmacists then why not hire more very frustrating when you have a tolddler home running ji temperature at 103 i hope concerned one at least taddress his genuine call
More bad experiences than I can keep track of. Unfortunately, this is my local pharmacy. Be prepared to wait 3 hours average for a prescription- about 2.5 hours for them to prep it and 45 mins or so to wait in the line behind other frustrated, angry customers. At least one of their pharmacists is totally incompetent.
Worst pharmacy ever. Always have to wait a very long time. They are extremely understaffed, rude, and slow!!!!
Good enougth for small things
They had me fill out papers and wait for an hour just to let me know that they don’t have what I was waiting for. It was my first and last time there.
If I can give zero stars I would the pharmacy always an issue extra long wait time in the service subpar I’m going someplace new. I’m talking about the one on Bridgeport Avenue in Shelton Connecticut
Something always goes wrong here understaffed always today the clerk had her shirt inside out 8 ppl in line slow slow slow
Convenient,safe.
I believe they have Sloths working in the Pharmacy Drive Thru here
Hours state 6am to 12am. Went there early on Sunday 6/19/16 to buy stuff before work and no one was there. 2 other people were waiting outside as well. Dont advertise 6am if youre not really open, wasting peoples time!
One of the cleanest and friendliest.
I have been going here over ten years it has gotten worse every year. Every month at least one RX takes multiple calls and visits to pickup.Staff Seems clueless.
Last time Im filling my prescription here. Nothing is ever ready, never enough staff to take care of customers.
Slowest pharmacy ever. Been to
Pharmacy is slow
Didnt know this place opened at 5 in the morning!
