We recently came in to purchase a mattress similar to one I had bought about 5 or 6 years ago since we were going up to a king. We had barely stepped into the store when Spencer came out to greet us. I showed him the name of the mattress I had purchased previously and he quickly gave us some options that were similar, adjusting his suggestions based on how we felt about each bed.I cant recommend Spencer enough. Not only did it feel like he was genuinely trying to do what would be right for us, but he was friendly and kind, and all around great to work with and even to talk to. I took a quick look through reviews here and Spencer is mentioned constantly for a reason. This store is incredibly lucky to have him.We felt no pressure throughout the process and it couldnt have been a more positive experience. Spencer worked to get us our mattress sooner than originally expected, and instead of a couple weeks, we got it in a couple days. Were loving our new bed thanks to Spencer!

I was originally planning on ordering online, but wanted to stop in the local store to try a few out. The sales associate, Brandon, went above and beyond to show me the mattresses I was interested in and other similar ones that were in-store sales. He answered all my questions with ease. I felt so at ease, I just went ahead and made the purchase then and there and didnt wait. When the subject of delivery came up, I opted against it for Covid reasons, I said I would like to pick up in store. Brandon and his associate worked together to find if I could pick up the mattress and boxspring sooner at a different location. My entire experience from start to finish, with this store, on this visit, was top notch.

I was greeted as I walked in store. I loved they had sanitizer, 2 types of napkins on a table with a contact trace guest sign in book right when you walk in on a table. Brandon was very informative & made my fiancée & I feel comfortable just getting to know what we were looking for. He provided us pillow napkins to be more sanitary trying out different beds & because he asked if we had any issues with sleep he led us to a few beds in price range to try. Also gave us some pointers with availability in different brands that made making a decision easier. Its a big decision we dont want to shop for years again, so his salesmanship was big factor in not leaving to try other store as well before making decision. I couldnt resist trying one out of my budget & Id go back again for sons bed or anything because while he had info on why that bed cost more, did me right by not giving me try in & exchange program & really did his best to keep me in budget. I took forever & he was still patient.

My back has been killing me, I thought it was a million different things until I stayed at a hotel a few nights and had no back pain. It was then I realized it had to be my mattress. So began the journey to find a new bed, I dread this experience. The fiancée and I thought we would stop into the local Mattress Firm “just to look”. The new bed was needed for overnight guests; the order was placed on Thursday morning and the bed was in our home, all set up, by early the next afternoon. I had recently suggested to my mother that she head to Mattress Firm in Shelton, as I had gone in during their Labor Day sales event and gathered some research on their prices and mattress options. She ended up purchasing an adjustable king mattress, headboard and sheets. Her mattress was delivered first and several days later the headboard was delivered; along with brackets to install it. Two weeks following that Mattress Firm was supposed to send someone to install the headboard. Here’s where everything goes wrong! My mother had asked me to come between 2-5 o’clock, on a Tuesday, to wait for the delivery truck to come and install the headboard, which had been left in her mud-room. Around 4:15 pm, two gentlemen showed up and explained to me that they were only allotted a 20 minute time slot for this particular delivery, and installation of the headframe would take at least an hour and a half. They placed a call to a woman, who they then passed along to me and she again explained this to me. I explained I just wanted to schedule a new installation date, as my time was already gone and wasted for that day. Forward to two weeks later (because they were supposed to come the following Tuesday and never showed up) two more gentlemen come and explain to my mother that the brackets that were delivered with the headboard are incorrect. So, even though they AGAIN were not there to make an installation, they wouldn’t have been able to since the brackets were incorrect. She politely asked them to simply bring the headboard upstairs into her room, and when they took it out of the box she discovered mold covering the entire upholstered headboard. She called me in horror and asked the men to remove the headboard - they said they couldn’t take the defective product. I immediately placed a phone call to the Mattress Firm in Shelton and spoke with Kyle. He was confused as to why they hadn’t taken the frame and told me his manager would be in tomorrow around 10 am and would call me in regards to the matter. 11:15 am on Wednesday I place a call to the Shelton store and reach Paul. He explained to me that his manager/the area manager was traveling and would be in later on, but that he would have him call me. 1:15 pm same day Wednesday, I called the store again. Apparently, the manager was now in a meeting, and I was told he’d call me back. 3:35 pm same day Wednesday, Paul knew it was me calling and apologized and told me he’d forward my call along. I never received a called back! Their delivery, instillation, products and more importantly customer service / management has been one of the more horrific experiences I have ever had. If Mattress Firm isn’t closed in a year - I’ll be shocked! Go, ANYWHERE else for your mattress needs!
