I am Stephen Barnard and I am a member with my daughter at Blackbeard Armory. I have been there since April, have bought guns and have had guns worked on. Tap Smith is the best, him and his staff are amazing. Not only is the customer service great but he always makes it a point to make sure all is good. I sent my nephew to him to buy a firearm and Tap had no idea he was my nephew. My nephew told me how awesome he was and how he treated him and bought a firearm from him. Nice to know that their are some people left that have good character and are honest. Also when I bring my daughter and 13 year old nephew to shoot at the range Less is amazing with young kids, my daughter loves him. This review is no B.S. Blackbeard Armory has been a great place to do business with and would highly recommend them.

I’ve visited frequently from out of state and they treated me like a local. Impressed with their knowledge, attention to detail and quick turn over on modifications. Tap always calls me by my name even if it’s been a bit. Their prices are competitive to any place and their customer service is 10/10 in my view. Thanks for your expertise

I had an urgent/ same day gunsmith need and Tap and his wife were extremely accommodating. I showed up during a busy time but Tap step aside and fixed my gun on the spot. He even tested it on the range. I was amazed by their generosity and level of service. Plus, they have all sorts of ammo in stock and a wide array of firearms. Clean store, great service, friendly faces and amazing inventory. I will be a repeat customer for sure!

Best gun range I have visited in last 10 years. This gun range has been completely remodeled and updated, the air conditioning is excellent. The range officers are very helpful without acting like you are bugging them, very knowledgeable and they tend to correct any issues with humor, unless it is a safety violation that needs stronger correction. Truly a welcome contribution to our local community.

Took a trip to the range with my wife and my daughter. And my daughters dumb boyfriend. Gotta tell you, Ive shot at just about every indoor range in the Dallas area. This range was by far the most comfortable. Temperature and humidity were as comfortable as I would have been at home. Ventilation was on point. The bullet trap is chunks of rubber so dust was minimal. Had a great selection of firearms and I was shocked to see a decent selection of ammo. Friendly staff. The wife said she felt comfortable enough to go back by herself or with my daughter. Overall great experience. Yall keep up the good work.

I have taken classes from Tap in the past and bought a couple guns in the past and have been very happy with the attention to detail and service I have received. Today I was shopping for a rifle to go elk hunting with and found the perfect rifle and scope at the right price thanks to the service and advice I received from Tap. Tap and his wife were so helpful and made my experience so enjoyable! I have been and will continue to be a returning customer!!!

Blackbeard Armory faithfully put my name on a rifle and pulled it from the shelf with an over the phone request. When I arrived at the store, they expertly laid out the features and functions of the Henry 45 lever action rifle I asked them to set aside.Then I changed my mind.They didnt care.They asked me what I was looking for and then laid out a rifle that perfectly fit my needs for a reasonable price. The gun smith in shop helped me pick out sights and immediately mounted them.The background check, which is out of their control, was a little lengthy waiting for the computer on a Friday night, but they were patient and friendly, with a place to sit and lots of pretty shiny things to look at while you wait.My over all experience was excellent. I cant wait for their new range to open up!I highly recommend Blackbeard Armory for your rifle and pistol purchases.

If you buy anything there you better like it. I bought a holster there it fit my gun but didnt fit me and because I took it home and put my gun it its considered used and would not let me return it. Will not be back.

This place is amazing! I went to a different place and they had HORRIBLE customer service and so I quickly went back to Blackbeard Armory and Range. Everytime I go there I get a friendly welcoming and amazing customer service! Theyre very knowledgeable and give a lot of good advice. I went back twice in the same day and probably stayed for more than an hour. The store is beautiful, great selection and everybody there treats you like youre a friend and like theyve known you for a while. I strongly recommend this store! 💜 Thank you guys so much!! Even though Blackbeard Armory isn’t open just yet, I already know it will be a 5 star spot when it does, by September 2020! Tap has provided me excellent service and training for a little over a year now. Elizabeth has also been a friendly face at the place they worked previously.Tap gave me professional recommendations that were not sales driven. I’ve bought all of my “tools” from Tap. None of them were the most extensive options, and all have been a joy to use.
