People walking around without masks and not one employee said anything. The woman working the front service desk (wearing a black embroidered mask) at around 7pm helped a man who was completely maskless. These people could care less about your safety.

This Safeway is pretty much like any other Safeway. Clean, organized, well stocked. All store personnel were polite and treat people with respect. The only thing I don’t like about this store is the Parking lot. Exit and entry on one end of parking lot. And parking lot not very big.

This review was about Google maps, not Safeway, making an error, so I want to apologize for leaving it here in a misleading location. This Safeway itself has been great, Google maps not so much at times. Again, Im sorry to anyone whom I may have steered wrong or chased away or mislead regarding this Safeway, theyre great here. Everything was reasonable as usual, good selection, and VERY friendly staff.

Clean location. Lots of options in a hometown store. Often when we cant find something anywhere else, well find it here. Staff is generally friendly and they (finally) have a self check out option.

Moving forward I have decided not to use their online grocery shopping. My past 3 orders have been wrong, Ive been overcharged, or most times they are out of stock.Yesterdays order was the last straw. They provided me with an expired steak.I will NOT shop at Walmart, so I guess I will be driving to Fred Meyer for better produce and better meat. Sorry Safeway you lost a loyal customer.

The building is new, always fresh smelling and clean. During Corona I a.ways felt safe there.

I shop here most of the time but the one time I was in self checkout and I mean I understand it’s self checkout there was a long line and of the workers were rude and was rushing to get through the payment.Young Kid about 19-20 tall kid blonde hair blue eyes he was just snippy I’ve had him a couple times

In general most customers in Safeway observed COVID-19 requirements. However, there were many who did not keep social distance or travel in the right direction in aisles. I saw 2 people, deep in the store, without the required masks. This is not safe in a busy store, and management needs to be more pro-active!I would give them a 4 on organic produce and most other grocery items.

Early mornings is perfect. Shelves fully stocked. Even have direction arrows on the floor. Just wish customers would follow them a little better.

Prices dont match the tags or the digital coupons. Then the self checkout clerk debates with us whether the coupons actually are valid. Disappointing experience, Ill be going to Fred Meyer or even Target instead.

This is a remodeled location, bearing all the beautiful marks of the chains recent remodel expansion. Its the only supermarket, besides WalMart SuperCenter & Target stores across the street. Safeway has lots of great deals on its app & paired with the stores club card. Very clean inside & out, nice shopping center as well.

I think this is one of the best Safeway stores I have been to.

Always good produce and meats

5 times i have complained about the Meat Department not properly wearing masks. Everytime, they act very concerned and say theyll talk to someone about it.Everytime i go back, more of the same. So here is the photo evidence.Also, no one wants to help you. No one even asks if youre finding everything okay or need help. Ive made eye contact with employees who immediately look away and pretend Im not there. Its not just limited to new hires. I NEVER get help unless I seek someone out. The cashiers dont even check if you found everything unless youre an old regular.So, Im going to avoid the convenience of the store since I dont want to get sick. Maybe something will finally be done.

Went in for my flu shot. Had a wait of about 45 min. Went well cuz the bakery was open and had a credit on my Starbucks card. Barely got situated and it was my turn. No discomfort ... Yet.

During my visit to Oregon i realized how much I missed having Albertsons around in Oklahoma, because walking into Safeway was like walking in to an updated version of my memories and being flooded with nostalgia and a longing. I would love either store to set up in the Sooner state again. Just so i could shop there frequently. If I had the money Id try to franchise one, but alas tis not an option, so Ill just have to visit Oregon in the future just to stop by again.

Im just done. Ive given this store several different tries time and time again. The pharmacy went downhill due to inability to carry prescriptions for patients under the age of 50. They dont stock the freezer section. And when they send you emails saying heres a coupon if you use us for delivery again they wont deliver. Rather, the 1800 # they leave has rude people working and when you push back they are exasperated and say itll take 7 business days to refund.Sad. Ill stick with Fred Meyer. Theyre cheaper, customer service is beyond par and they communicate while shopping for you.

Customer service at the Sherwood Safeway has gotten so bad since they are the only grocery dedicated store in Sherwood. No attempt to make or try and resolve an issue. Refuse to substitute or rain check an item. On a side note watch your receipts every other time I am over charged for at least one item. Oh and this is my first time every reviewing anyone, just fed up with them. Frustrated consumer

Wow I went in there to grab a couple things quickly and didnt really know where items were obviously since I dont normally shop there. The produce manager ended up helping me with something that wasnt even produce and he just totally went the extra mile I cant explain how helpful he was. Everyone seems really nice and friendly there. I will definitely be shopping there again!

All around this is a nice Safeway location, especially since they finally installed self check. The staff is always friendly abs really seem to remember the customers. The only complaint is that it seems the store is always out of at least 1 item on my varying shopping list.

I dont like this Safeway store. They dont have the Green heathy food isles like the Safeway in Wilsonville has. Fred Meyer has a lot more organic produce in Wilsonville and Newberg.

Seems like this place has had a lot of turnover in the last few months. I will say though, Phil the front end manager is awesome and super friendly and provides a fast and efficient checkout. Ray the Starbucks manager is great and is very personable with his customers! The people at the service desk are always very friendly and happy to help!Only complaint is upper management...

My first visit since March 17th and I felt very nervous at first but they have done a great job of directing for social distancing and everyone had their face masks on and were very courteous about distancing

One of the worst examples of this wide-spread franchise Ive encountered, and Ive been in dozens. The store seemed as tired as the staff. Even the e in the lighted Safeway sign out front was burned out.

The person working in the meat section was very rude when I TRIED to tell him about a turkey breast I purchased for Thanksgiving. My purpose was to inform him about a problem with the product. I was not asking for a refund. His remark as he walked away was un-called for.

Prior to the epidemic that is going on I‘ve always enjoyed going to this Safeway. The cashiers, managers and the employees in general are awesome people, very personable and very helpful. But since this epidemic started and they have had to hire a lot of new people especially young adults maybe just out of high school the customer service is awful from them. It’s mainly the baggers. They are rude, not helpful and just all around just not very nice. They are rough with my groceries, and when I try to say something they take it so personal. I’m not sure if they didn’t get trained enough because of the rush of needing more employees but I hope it changes. I still really enjoy the staff that has been there for a while!

The store here in Sherwood, I hate shopping here. The majority of the cashiers are way too rough with my groceries. With the new self check I was excited, BUT this store has THE WORSE SELF CHECK OUT ON THE FACE OF THE PLANET. There are a few people here that seem like they care, but they seem not to last long. If there were another close store that would have all the things I usually shop for I would 100% stop shopping at this store. I find myself shopping at my old neighborhood Safeway in Murrayhill which is a great store. I purchase most of groceries elsewhere and begrudgingly shop at the Sherwood Safeway.

Great neighborhood grocery store. We do most of our shopping and pharmacy here. We love Sherwood Safeway! One of our favorite checkers is Michelle Gibson. She is so helpful and friendly, you should keep an eye out for her! It truly feels like a small town when you can go grocery shopping and your checker knows your name and welcomes you.

Pick up some weekly sale items. Some really are the cheapest around. The manager there is real and sincere.

This Safeway store is way above average when it comes to the design, customer service and food quality/prices. Sure, some items are overpriced (aren’t all grocery stores that way?), but the majority of items are the lowest prices you’ll find. Especially nice about this store: Remodeled, new design/layout, extensive produce section, floral department, Starbucks inside, polite knowledgeable pharmacy staff and great selection of donuts!

Great experience! Several people were greeting others and saying hi. Generally a good place to shop, as the selection was good for a Safeway. Staff were friendly.

Usually have a fairly good service but today was horrible. My cashier Nick was to busy talking to a coworker and was bagging my groceries into plastic when I put 6 cloth bags on the belt first. When I asked him not to throw the jars of peanut butter on top of my bananas he blew me off and told me theyd be fine. To top it off he started waiting on customer behind me without helping put my groceries in my cart. The other customer was trying to use debit machine while I tried to get my bags. Cashier offered no help.

I just wanted to give mega-kudos to Rondi! She helped me in the self-check-out line on 3/25 and man, did I need help today!!! Usually I am able to navigate self-checking, but - for some reason - I set off the “Needs Help” alarm about four times! Rondi came to my rescue every time with a smile on her face and a teasing joke or word of encouragement to go with it! After the fourth alarm I was laughing so hard she threatened to put my photo up on the wall as a warning to other employees! With everyone stressed about Covid, it was great to go in a store and be able to joyfully banter with someone! :)

Frustrating! Limit of 1 PKG of steaks. No sign except for the small sign that made it look like the limit was for the online coupon price. So much for a birthday dinner of five since the biggest package only had three.

Bradely in the produce department is very sweet, friendly, quick to help in anyway he can. He is also very knowledgeable and if he doesnt know something he takes the time to look and is quick to come back with the answer. He made my long day a better one for sure. I also like how clean it seems in there especially the produce area. The checker and manager were also very friendly and helpful. Thanks guys for your hard work!!

Do not go here if you think you will recieve help. I stood at customer service for like 10 minutes while 4 associates stood directly behind me. Then Nick at customer service said let me take a call and I will be right with you, yeah right, he at that time talked on the phone for several minutes and then said I have to go find an item!! What really!!! I left the store. Safeway is not for servicing customers thats for sure.

The shopping is more pleasant as not as crowded in the morning. Maybe due to online shopping and self check out. I use the cashier lanes as I usually buy a cartful of items.

I like the condition of this store. The goods are well stocked and the employees seem to know their store and will always go the extra mile to be a help. It works for me and Safeway will be my store for a long time.

I try to shop elsewhere when I can. I have to check everything there. I have lived in Sherwood five years and every time without fail I always find various expired food. Last time it was dairy (kefir and yogurt) and today was less serious things like granola bars and a package of sealed Organics Animal crackers that expired in December that I was buying for our turn to provide snack for my daughters preschool class. A few weeks ago I had to bring up expired lunch meat and cottage cheese to the counter. This is unacceptable and not a fluke how often i always find expired food without fail. Would also like to see an improvement on the quality of produce.

I am not a regular shopper due to one main reason and that is safeway does not offer self-checkout. I fail to understand why that is not offered like their competitors. Another issue is that you ALWAYS have to wait in a line. Yes sometimes I have to wait in self check but only for a few minutes. I will become a Safeway shopper when they get self check. In the meantime I will travel 5 miles to get groceries. I have asked at the store as well as sent emails so I have expressed my opinion.

Went there a few days after, since its strangely the only retail chain in sherwood with a good selection of produce. For some reason, everything was super fresh and the staff was incredibly nice a few days later. At least it was an improvement. Thanks Sergeant.
