After our favorite Christmas Tree U Cut in Sherwood closed, we searched the hills to find the right tree in December 2018. We tried a few, not finding the right one but followed the signs for Schaefers Premium Christmas Trees. We found ourselves at the home of the kindest family. Christmas music piped from the porch. Homemade cookies and hot cocoa for the children, coffee as well for mom and dad.Everyone who assisted us was kind, gracious and helpful to load trees, provide instruction and the other assistance needed. That year we were looking for the biggest tree we could find. They let us take a 14 ft one from close to their yard for the same price as all the other trees. This was the Christmas tree experience we hoped for.This year, after Thankgiving, we put on our boots and returned to the same place. We did encounter some confusion as we pulled in. We were directed to park by an older gentleman in a place that seemed to be the next house over. We did not have the same experience there as the trees there were all pre-marked what could be cut and seemed sickly at a premium price. We discussed getting a fake tree. We eventually figured out that we were in the wrong place and made our way up to the Victorian style home to be greeted with cookies, hot cocoa and warm smiles. Mrs. Schaefer remembered us! We spilled another hot cocoa. But we bought the perfect tree. This time around 6.5 feet. The tree selection was very good. I wish I knew more about the types of trees to specify what they had. The young men who assisted us could not have been kinder. We hope that families like the Schaefers continue to offer all their wonderful hospitality and beautiful trees.

Friendly, great selection, family atmosphere. Definitely the best u cut place around.
