What great folks! A friend suggested them as I just bought my first house and the back door was is ROUGH shape. I priced out a new one at the big box stores and they told me it had to be a custom order because of the dimensions and that itd be 2500$. These guys had a door in stock and even with their door match service and set for a new doggy door it was less than half! We even screwed up and forgot the doggy door for them to match so it had to be done again and they came through with that extra unexpected adjustment, fitting it into their busy schedule before we got back home. Cant say enough about the quality, price and service here. You dont usually get all three but these guys nailed it!
Anyone that knows anything about doors knows Frank Lumber. This is THE place to get doors of any type. I recently bought a pocket door kit with a door to match which they custom cut my door per my dimensions as well as for the handle. I always come here when I need a door, Hardware, Case whatever I need they hook it up and it is right every time. They are very busy here so patience is a virtue I promise you they wont let you down in the end you will understand.
Happy with the Service and products! Dawn was my sales rep and was very knowledgeable and patient showing me all the options for new interior and exterior doors. Very happy and satisfied. Would recommend this store for anyone who needs doors.
Ordered custom french doors.Estimated schedule 6 to 8 weeks. Actually arrival 4.5 months. When final delivery occurred, in multiple deliveries because of build errors, the alignment of deadbolt/latch set on door and center jamb was 1/2 out of alignment. I requested they redo the jamb, which was easy to unscrew from door edge, and re-install. They blamed this on install, but even with a perfect install these would never align. This would have been an easy fix for a company that does the volume they do, but their refusal to fix the issue is very unprofessional.Proceed with caution and inspect the product.
After waiting 8 weeks for a special order door that was supposed to be built in 6, the door was built incorrectly- inside door was ordered, outside door was built, left hand swing was ordered right hand door was built. They offered to rehang the door in an interior frame but it was already double bored due to it being built as an outside door- their mistake. After coming back out to pick up the rehung door, there were several see through knot holes in the jamb, that were overlooked and should have been filled- waited 30 minutes for them to fill one of them, I guess I will get the others.I have ordered other doors from them in the past but this will be my last, especially for $1800, not what anyone should expect to deal with. -CJG
GC here. So they’re the best custom door store in town. I’ve only ever had great experiences until this time. I brought in a rotted door jamb to be replaced. Long story short they lost the hardware, didn’t install the brickmolding like it was on the original frames, and when I described some of the missing WHITE hardware, I was led to believe they’d found it, but when I arrived to pick it up it was something totally different Jay grabbed off the shelf. I’ve wasted 6 hrs now getting everything back together and $200 in parts, and now I still have to fabricate a new latch plate. Angry beyond words.
I was in a bind and needed a new fiberglass basement door ASAP and I called Frank’s Lumber and thank goodness I did! Joe answered the phone and helped me so much. Within a week and a half, I have a beautiful new door. I can’t thank Joe enough for his kind and supportive nature in making sure that I also had a custom modern door to fit in a 100 year old home. Joe also gave me the name of a great contractor who was also so easy to work with. The door is more beautiful than I could imagine and really updates the home. Thank you!
Was by myself when a store employee approached me and told me to put on a mask. Cool. Couple minutes later I’ve counted 7 employees without masks or wearing them on their chin including the same guy that approached me and the manager. Manager claims there is no double standard. 🤦🏻♂️I don’t care whether you wear a mask or not just don’t let it be a double standard when you’re approaching customers and telling them to put their mask on. You could tell the manager was very bothered that I called him out on his own hypocrisy.
Not impressed.First time customer. Ordered a custom door. They called me, said it was ready. Had a friend pick it up, he waited over an hour to be helped, they said they could not find it. He thinks they had to make up another one. Also, asked for brush nickel hinges, they put black one on. They looked nice, but wrong color, and they didnt put all the screws in to hold the hinges on. For what they charged, the quality could have been better.
Weve been pleased with quality of the doors weve purchased and are very happy with their service. I especially like that they will match your old doors with the new ones, adding hinges and hardware to help you avoid having to buy prehung and reinstall.
The products purchased were good snd their recommended contractor was also very good. However, there was turnover i. Personnel dealing with me snd a mistake on Frank’s part cost me extra money in order to finally get the desired products installed. Be careful with your dealings with this group over the phone and via email.
We needed a new front door, back door, screen door, and the hardware that goes with it. How complicated could that be, I thought. Turns out its more technical than I thought, especially if you want something that will hold up in the NW rainy weather, look nice, and fit your timeline and budget. Theres a lot of decisions to make and the crew at Franks is incredibly knowledgeable, patient, and well-versed in every aspect of selecting your new door set-up. Special shout-out to Rich who walked us through the whole process. Some of the salespeople have been there for 10+ years - that speaks to employees who are valued and like their job. They know TONS about doors! Honestly this place is a treasure, owner-operated and in business for many years, focus on customer service and value.
Good selection of high quality wood doors, in a variety of classic and more modern styles. The only place contractors buy doors from in town- for good reason! They also have a decent selection of door hardware, but its not exhaustive.
Great selection of doors, they will make a door to your specifications, bring in your old door and they will match the hinge and handle locations so you can install very easy.
I dont normally like to leave these but if I could leave some constructive criticism it would be to tell the employees to just check in with customers to see if they need help. I could have easily asked someone for help but when you literally have 50 employees working and not one asks if I need help, kind of lacking in the customer service department. I was in the store for over 2 hours and not one person checked in with me. They do have a good selection, and I will probably use them for my doors, just leaving some feedback.
Its bad when the sale representative, Alex, is so unhelpful that you have to call another door store to understand how a custom door measurements / dimensions work. I made it clear that this was my first time and made it pretty evident I was confused. He just pushed his way through the sale asking if the measurement would work (size smaller than what was provided via paper). When I advised again, I wasnt sure but Ill go off what he suggested he didnt ask any follow up questions and just went with it. Alex used terminology that he was used too but refused to explain it or break it down for a laymans understanding.I ended up cancelling my order after talking to another door store. I was able to cancel it through Jean (hope thats the correct spelling) and he was polite.
Great selection and service. Will recommend to others!
We waited in line outside for half an hour due to limited indoor restriction. Which would of been fine except once we were let inside we were then told if we wanted to look at any of the discount doors outside we would have to re wait in line to pay. We then were never offered help once we started looking and ended up getting a rude salesperson named Gene to finish our order. We did buy the door because they have a nice selection - but I would never recommend this place due to their poor customer service.
Great selection and you can find good deals here
I needed some 26inch doors, which are very hard to find in big box stores, as well as online in the style I wanted. Matthew at Frank helped me out, answered all my questions, and made sure the doors would match what I have. He was also able to get the trim and casing I needed as well. From my first call to delivery was less than a week. I would highly recommend them to anyone needing doors or millwork. The delivery person carried all the doors into my Garage for me as well.
Bought what was supposed to be a 26” molded mdf 6 panel solid core door Then paid a professional painter to sand and spray it. It looks beautiful. Then went to mortise it out. Hinges went in great. Got the door in the frame, drilled the hole for a handle, and what came out of the hole saw blew my mind. Pressed straw. Yes STRAW. Like a farm. It’s compressed straw between two sheets of mdf. And it’s not even solid. There’s a huge gap right where there should be blocking for a door handle and the outside rail of the door is only about .5” thick so when I put the screws in for the lock set, it cracked out. Awesome. $145 for a door slab, $200 in paint materials and labor, and I have a hollow door made of straw. (The orange is where I filled with foam attempting so salvage this train wreck)
Measure twice and buy once is very true for doors. Buy the $10 or $25 doors only if you dont have an existing frame, e.g. build the frame for the inexpensive door. Otherwise bargain barn is just as good and even better is having a carpenter along.
Been coming for years. Sales personnel have always been a little challenged they can be busy at times. But when 3 sales associates totally ignore my request to sell me hinges for my new door. Well it shows me they need some serious retraining. I came from eastern Washington made plans with them well ahead of time and still waited a long time dispite being there at opening as planned. The bonus was being ignored
Best quality doors in WA state.just dont expect to get any help when walking in the store... everyone acts like they dont see you when standing at the counter....you are a ghost.
The biggest and best door store in Shoreline.
No standing around at Frank Door Company they made sure someone was helping me and they made sure that I had the right product for my job !!! The employees are very friendly and helpful. AAA+++AAA
I had a Great female Employee. Sorry I didnt get her name. But she helped me to get a door seal to satisfy my needs. Great Job!!
Very good,very informative and helpful
Worst customer service i was waiting for 1 hour and 45 minutes for Rick he dont take the dignity to ask i will never never back here WORST SERVICE EVER
Staff was great and they made me a really nice entry door.
Great place for doors! The quality, price, selection and helpful service cant be beat.
Very unfortunate experience. door unit delivered out of plumb. 2 months longer than expected. multiple delays based on required redo of divided light spacing, faulty glass, faulty hardware. Maybe if you are a contractor you have the luxury of dealing with these types of things but as home owner I would recommend looking elsewhere. I was very patient with all of the above but lost my patience when the door set was misaligned by over 1 and they would not replace this. Next time I will use another company and will recommend my architecture clients use someone else.
Great place and great service. Never been to a place where employees are so eager to help you load your truck, and friendly. Top notch business.
Frank’s Lumber was awesome! We originally ordered a front door through Lowe’s for our new home build, the vendor lost our door and didn’t tell us until after the door was already over a month past the day it was supposed to be delivered. Frank’s Door came to the RESCUE. We found a beautiful front door with sidelites that fit our opening perfectly and took it home the next day for a quarter of the price we paid at Lowe’s. We will be turning to them for our the rest of our door needs throughout the build! We worked with Broncheau and he was awesome! Definitely recommend paying them a visit if you’re in need of doors.
Went in to look for bifold closet doors. COVID restrictions limited the store to 4-5 customer groups maximum. There had to be at least 25 employees in the store and though standing in line for help, as instructed, not one desk person would even raise their head to acknowledge me.I explained my frustration to the person at the front door and still never got any help from anyone. After 15 minutes, I walked out past the door person who just stared at me and never said a word.Went to Lowe’s and in 5 minutes had my quote and gave them my business. I can only say that the customer service attitude at Frank Lumber reflects the attitude of management and ownership. It’s called “trickle down.”
Excellent selection and customer service!
Duane Berger is the best!
Top notch and first class every time... no other place you should shop
These guys are always great! Great products, great service.
Franks is the ultimate in customer service. Detail oriented, patient, and quick. Order after order they have never made a mistake with me and going there is always one of the best steps in house building.
We were sent here by a door professional who told us that this place was great and that they would treat my mother well. We walked in and were expecting a nice experience. Unfortunately that was far from the case. A man named Gene asked us what we needed and we told him we were there to see another salesman. He said that person was busy and I asked him if he could let him know we were waiting. Gene then told us it was our job to keep an eagle eye and then left us. After waiting almost 20 minutes I became frustrated and started pacing and someone asked if I was helped. I said I was waiting for someone and was then told that person had left. I became audibly frustrated and told them how Gene was rude and told me to do his job and relay a message. Gene came over seeing this and tried to save by only then asking us what we actually needed. He then helped us and immediately took us to the cheapest doors in the store. Which were his actual words. Now my mom and I are Mexican so when he sent us to the cheapest and assumed we were poor people it further infuriated us. We were able to work through it because my mom needs a door and the contractor who sent us was a wonderful door guy. Unfortunately this store saw some Mexicans and assumed we couldnt afford a 3k door which is what my mom ended up getting anyways. The plethora of people who sat and watched my mom and I stand around was insane as I saw non-minorities being helped right at the door. It was only after they denigrated us did they help. The door is beautiful and thats why this isnt a 1 star.
Very friendly customer service, great material, knowledgeable staff and lots of choices
This place has exactly what anyone needs when it comes to doors and door parts. Knowledgeable staff with great insight to your project. Although more cost than box stores, you get what you pay for. I only wish they would call you when your product is ready for pickup if it is done earlier. My product was ready when promised.
I went in to see what my options were bc a couple of the doorsteps need are uncommon sizes. I’m going to get all the doors from here, bc they have great quality. I’m giving them a bad review bc of the treatment we received. Not sure if they were being cold and unhelpful bc we are younger or what, but I left feeling disappointed and disrespected. The younger sales associate at the bargain barn was super helpful but the two at the main store both didn’t give us the time of day.
The place for all things DOORS
Pros: friendly people, good selection.Cons: we had one more interior door to replace in our house and it was a special size that only frank lumber carried. I figured, since this was the last door, let’s just pay extra to have them route out spots for hinges, door knobs and strike plates, instead of doing it myself. After getting the door home and painting it, I noticed that the route for the strike plate was off-center. I ended up just trying to fix their mistake, rather than take it back, but it still doesn’t look perfect. It was such an easy thing to avoid, but they didn’t take the time to do it right. What a disappointment.Pic attached.
Large selection of household doors interior and exterior. Helpful phone sales staff.
Great selection, pleasant staff. Suzi was great. JS
I have had mixed experiences here.Your always top priority when you call to spend money. But once you place an order or only have questions your kind of last priority. At least that has been my experiences the last 20+ visits as a local business owner who used to own the construction company next door. My most recent 3 experiences, brought a door in for them to replicate, had to return it 5 times for them to fix their own mistakes. Would be so bad if they had not promised my customer same day response instead of delaying a proper front door to thief home for 2 weeks of hell in winter time with no front door. I lost that 10 year repeat client over it. 2 years later I want to order a few customer doors, no ones returning calls about it so I come in, no one seemed interested in helping me and one of the sales associates asked me if I can even afford the high end door I was looking at; was pretty mean thing to say so I walked out and bought the exact same door in a different brand for half price from Lowe’s and they made it correctly the first time and delivered it. 2 weeks ago dropped off a door for them to replicate. Calling before hand got us multiple conflicting information from different staff, first they can custom make a metal exterior door, then they can’t, then they can make it from fiberglass then can’t, then promise call back 3 days in a row but done call, each time I call I’m on hold while they try to figure out who lost our door and lost our order etc, say they will call when they figure it out, no one calls again, call back, same story, this time a woman swears someone will call me with in 15 minutes after all I been through, no call for 6 hours so I call and suddenly the door is done and ready, send out employee to pick it up and they say they mistook our company for another’s and to come back in a week, then I get a call that they made another mistake and never started the door work because they can’t make it the way they said they could the 4th time changing their minds, so we agree to a solid wood door but after all this guess what, that door gets no warranty at all after all we been through to go through this company exclusively for the warranty. We still give this company business because the monopoly has made it near impossible to find any other credible door company like it. The people thy hire are usually top quality customer service, but the work load these guys experience effects customers and construction companies level of enjoyment. That is why all our customers who need door services from this place are required now to sign notice that we can not control this company’s promises, delays, or inaccurate measurements when custom making doors and that’s a real bummer or else I’d give them the best rating for always being available to help us get stuff ordered, it’s just the process thereafter is always hell. If your prepared for hell and can budget having your custom door done over and over for weeks and you have that kind of time then this is the place for you! The people inside are nice and that makes up for a lot but be prepared for delays and mistakes because in the last 15 years we have not had even just 1 smooth transaction so far :)
Great local company with superior service. Our home was built in 2006 so the new standard doors at Lowe’s and Home Depot did not carry them. Frank’s custom doors built my door perfectly to fit our house, great prices, prompt and friendly professional service. When loading the door they even made sure it was wrapped so it wouldn’t get damaged in this rainy weather. Young guy that loaded the door was very kind and professional!
Great customer service!!
I was standing in line almost 1 hour. Then I havent gor assistance to get door what I want. Finally when help arrive I got rude man who wasnt willing to help me. Treat me like I should know everything about door (not my profession so why?, he should explain me) Alex D. Shouldnt work over there. If you not happy change job Alex. Not happy of my experience. Wouldnt go there again.
Ive yet to receive my door, but so far so good! Know a few friends have gotten doors here, and all are very happy. Went in today and couldnt believe the huge selection of high quality doors at very reasonable prices! Solid core, interior wood primed doors for low $100s. Why anyone would buy hollow core is beyond me, when its just a tad more for the real deal. Hope my front door I ordered turns out good!
A bit overpriced as I know what the cost is with what they sell. But they get the job done and in a timely fashion. Fine selection of doors. Finishing department does a very good job. Sales staff is so-so. Expect to be treated like you dont know anything about anything when you order doors. Just bare with it, and youll get a fine product in the end.
Looking for French doors for our kitchen remodel, lots of options found a couple we like.
The store was at capacity, three of us were waiting outside. Since I was picking up an door I ordered I was directed around to the back. I was in and out in 10 minutes.
Buying doors anywhere else is not the same as finding them here. I avoid the cheap and short-sighted construction available in less expensive doors. But best of all, I open the doors to a world of solutions to my problems and to classy and well-installed options.Ive rehabbed 4 homes and the sound and feel of even the simplest good door from Frank Lumber beats anything else Ive tried. I like to spend a couple bucks extra on shiny brass hinges and that look matches all the feel of these doors.
The staff is great! The variety of doors is unbelievable! There are some absolutely positively gorgeous doors in that place.
My partner has done business with Frank’s Doors many times. Staff consistently unprofessional, rude and poor customer service. It’s unfortunate that businesses don’t take more pride or teach staff the principles of quality customer service. Will definitely be taking business elsewhere.
THE place for.doors in Seattle and Western Washington. Awesome products, staff, service. Easy access from I-5. If you need a door just call them.
We were referred by our contractor. Our first door was ordered incorrectly, truly an easy and honest mistake. I went in and asked to speak with David, who had helped us the first time and was great, this time he told the other staff he had spoken to our contractor about the issue already. However, the correct door hadnt been ordered yet! I was standing right there and he refused to look my way and just talked right past me. Duane helped us get the correct door ordered, and was super friendly and understanding. The door was nice. The window portion was put together in a hurry and there is glue everywhere, so our painter will have to do a bit of extra work to clean it up before painting.I recommend Seattles Doorhouse instead. We had amazing service last time we used them, and quality work.
Outstanding selection and knowledgeable helpful staff. Besides doors and door hardware, they have everything you need to install or repair a door. Parking too.
Always has the right products, knowledgeable and friendly staff.
Awesome service and selection. Matched many of my old doors needing updating. Great prices on wooden doors. Highly recommend if rehabbing your home.
Awesome service with no BS. Loved the old school customer service. My wife and I will happily spend our money here.
Generally, I love this store, but my last interaction was a bit more painful. They mis-cut my doors and it took 45 minutes to finally get a manager to understand the problem and acknowledge it was Frank Lumbers issue. They were the last two doors, of course. They told me theyd reorder and cut them tomorrow. What they didnt say was that the would order tomorrow and cut them when they arrived 3 days later. I showed up the next day, only to find I had to return on Friday.Normally, I can be patient about small snafus like this, but this one put me 4 days behind schedule on a very tight project. The final straw was waiting for 45 minutes to get loaded out when there was nobody else waiting.Ill still use them, as I find their stock quite excellent and their sales staff friendly, helpful, courteous, and knowledgeable. But fulfillment needs to step it up a bit.
When I had a question about a door in one of trailers that they have, the sales person told me “I don’t wana spend lot of time on that” and went away...
These people really know their wood and especially anything to do with doors. Highly recommend. Plus they are a local business.
Harry Young As well as Matthew and the other employees were super great to work with. I’ve been working with him for many years now and appreciate all the work and excellent quality
Well I have had enough, We spent $6000.00 plus on interior doors that included Paint and Installation, Hardware not included, We paid in full for the door around 4100.00 and waited a month or so to get them, Franks has no idea what we do for a living, It’s important because they called one day and left a message that the doors were ready and they were going to drop them off. They never spoke to myself or my wife they had no idea that we were not home that day, so what did they do?They called again to let me know they delivered them and there outside leaning against the house, Even being somewhat wrapped in plastic you think that was a great idea? I was out of the country and how is my wife supposed to move these doors inside before the storm starts?? Now the installation!!we pick a guy off their recommendations list, big mistake on my part, I should have asked for names of satisfied customers and called them and looked at the finished product, but I trusted Franks would not recommend someone who’s work is sub par. The job gets started then we are told We have to do all the Paint touch up, fix the nail holes, angle cuts all the stuff I thought comes with being a finish carpenter installer? It’s a joke!!! now the door sweep is falling apart and they said they will come fix it, When the pandemic is over. Good Luck folks.
Going to Frank Lumber is like walking into a giant Swiss watch. If you need or want anything related to doors this place will simply blow your mind. They have people...professionals, who know what they are doing and keep everything running as smoothly, efficiently and quickly as possible. The management of this store should receive a Pulitzer for business efficiency...if such a thing existed. I have been going to Frank Lumber for 35 years and they just keep getting better. I live in Poulsbo which is 30 minute ferry ride and 50 minutes of driving, each way, so it isnt easy to drop by, but I wouldnt waste my time going anywhere else.
Incredible quality and awesome selection!Expensive..but there is no equal!
Great selection and friendly service. Can do custom work too.
Fast friendly and professional. I recommend Franks for everyone I meet that needs a door. The above is how I used to feel about Franks. The last three times Ive been there Ive been severely disappointed.Of the three disappointing visits, Ive had two match up experiences that were not good work, requiring many hours of sanding and planing to get a proper fit. And when dealing with an entire apt full of doors, is unacceptable. The latest visits, I was treated like they had no time for me, and they asked me questions that Ive never been asked before in all my years of working with homes and doors. I ended up leaving and buying an off the shelf doorprehung from the home Depot, and it went right in no problem with the dimensions I had. 36x80.Ive been let down by Franks for the last time. Maybe its only one guy, maybe its management. They were rude, expensive, and the work was not up to snuff. They have lost me as a customer, and worse yet I will tell everyone that cares about my experience.
They may be the only game in town for doors, so they dont need to attract or keep customers or the boss has them under his thumb. I can only speculate about those things, but I do know the service is terrible. If you get a chance to go downstairs and talk to the workers below you can sometimes find a helpful person. They are all running around like crazy at Franks Lumber in Seattle. If you have to buy from them, I suggest you go to the Marysville store.
I tend to review places I really like or really dislike, Franks is an incredible door store!Having been in construction for many years and actually working in a door shop for a few years I feel pretty qualified to say that.Great selection, very knowledgeable and friendly staff, theres no comparison in the area. Theyll match a new door to your existing door frame, great option to save time and money!
Nice people working there.
Was referred to them by a contractor, I LOVE THIS PLACE! Great pricing and types of products. I got an amazing custom wood door for less than $900!
The folks in the front office are knowledgeable and helpful. My experience with the folks on the loading dock was unfortunately negative. Its almost like two companies under the same roof
I had a couple hiccups in the beginning of our process but they ended up making it right and we are loving our front door thank you Frank’s
Weve purchased all our doors (7) and hardware from the door store. It has been a pleasure working with Harry and Mickey. They are both very knowledgeable and take their time to address concerns and questions. Well definitely be going back if we should need more doors matched in our house.
Great Staff and great product!
We have bought all of our interior doors at Franks and they have the nicest doors at great prices, plus the ability to match specs just based on measurements. Its awesome!
Beware the contractor recommended by the Door Store. I hired Bruce Morse/Remodel Seattle to install an exterior home office door. A personable, nice man, Morse made a lot of promises, almost none of which he delivered on: he would install on Saturday (he wouldnt), we didnt need to make an install appointment in advance of the door delivery because he could accommodate my client schedule (he couldnt), the install would be performed by himself and his worker Jose (it was only Jose), he would start the work as close to 9 am as the traffic would allow (his workers showed up at 12:30 PM, he showed up at 5 PM), he would finish by early afternoon (they finished at 6 PM). He never informed me of any change in his schedule and refused to respond to my calls, texts or emails. Only Jay, the manager of the Door Store, got him to respond and complete the job. ( At 4 PM, I still had a door not completely hung, interior walls ripped away, and no locks on the door.) However, Morses laborer, Jose, worked hard and got the door installed and the interior repaired and finished. He did a good job, although they left me with some raw exterior trim that I need to paint in November.I would have given the Door Store a 5 were it not for the contractor. The store had an excellent product selection, the order process was easy, the door came in when they said it would, it was beautifully painted, and was delivered on time. Certainly Jay, the store manager, deserves a 5 for doing everything short of completing the install himself to ensure that I had a door with a lock installed on my home before nightfall.
Expensive which would be fine, but they don’t stand behind their products. Bought a beautiful exterior door and just 18 months later the finish is irreparably water stained. They told me there was nothing they could do for me except help me order a new door. What a joke. Spent thousands on a door, it doesn’t stand up and the best they can do is help me spend thousands more to replace it. Absurd and insulting. Never coming here again.
Broncho was fantastic! Very helpful and courteous. Loved helping a local business
Was pretty easy to pick up order
These guys are absolutely the best! Frank, an incredibly helpful gentleman, made my external remodel a breeze! I can’t say enough nice things about Frank! I replaced all of my doors without a problem. Frank had them ready to go and even picked out doorknobs for me when I realized I needed more. He made sure my contractor picked them up with the door. I will never shop anywhere else!
Best place in town for either match up to your existing doors buying factory doors or having custom doors made. No one beats Frank slumbers the door store. As a general contractor for over 30 years its my number one supplier
WOW! We were referred to Frank Lumber to have doors matched for our 88 year old house. (Read non-standard sizes!) They did an amazing job - and installed the hardware into our new doors (for an extra fee). Well worth the drive through Seattle traffic - and I dont say that lightly!!
Yes f you need a good quality door I’m sure they have it
This is the best place to buy doors. They can make them anyway you want them. The doors are always perfect.
Bought a custom 44 width bi-fold door from them having been told all necessary hardware is provided. Discovered after opening the packaging that although they cut to doors to size, the header rail was still 48. I call to ask about getting the proper hardware and they tell me they dont cut the header rail, nor did they seem to care about the misguided information they initially provided. I can make the fix to the rail myself, but after paying a decent amount to get a custom door, I was disappointed with their lack of customer appreciation. I wont be using their service again.
We have bought our doors from Frank Lumber the door store. The customer service isnt top notch but their delivery is prompt. My big comment is they dont seem to pay attention to details despite the high price they command. I had to cut the rubber cement that oozed out from the frame of glass panes twice from both doors we purchased. Going back to good service, they should have given up some tips as to how we can better stain our doors with the weather strip already attached. Since they we opted to stain the doors ourselves then its not their prerogative to be helpful.
Franks has a tremendous selection of door, finishes and door hardware. They also have a well-stocked lumber yard. I had to exchange a door lock set as it was the wrong finish. The salesperson I spoke to said we had exceeded the return period and referred the issue to a supervisor with the comment There is no way this will be approved. The manager had no problem with the exchanges. I would rate Franks at 5 stars except for the first salesman. I think he is the exception.
I have ordered doors from them on two different occasions. Great service by phone and my order came in quickly. When I went to pick up the doors it was clear that this is a very busy store. So I did have to wait about 5-7 minutes for help at the sales counter. But all in all I am pleased with the product, price and service.
