I went in just to re-order contacts, and the girl who assisted me today was so helpful and sweet. I myself work retail and I know how draining & frustrating the industry is right now, but she was absolutely delightful and helped me with what I needed right away. She also was able to save me OVER $100 with my insurance (which was her suggestionโI totally forgot to even check!!) I didnโt see her name tag and her name was not on my receipt, but I needed to tell someone so this girl could get some recognition! ๐๐ผโค๏ธ Thank you!PS I didnโt have an appointment today, but shout-out to Dr. Bell because heโs always fantastic as well!!
Dont bother save your money the employees are not trained very well. Took nearly four weeks to deliver and never received a phone call or text that the one pair of glasses were in but they couldnt make the sunglasses because of my prescription. I had to call them and was first told they were re making the sunglasses. Was never offered a fitting on the new pair and was never offered alternative frames for the sunglasses. I asked for a refund and was now told there computers were down and had to come back tomorrow. I made a appointment for this visit! Obviously upset I asked if there was a manager on duty and was told no but they would call one and that call was very short and didnt achieve anything. I been wearing glasses for 45 years and never had a experience like this. I have nothing against Target corporation, I thought using a established company would be more reassuring.Still waiting for my refund.
Mya was so incredibly helpful and gave great customer service!
Everything about our experience was great - from the eye exam itself (Dr. Bell is awesome) to the purchase of new glasses and contacts. The new glasses were ready in less than half the time we expected. Very pleased!
Natalia saved my life. I came in with my freshly broken frames and she was able to find me a compatible set for my lenses to help me make sure I can get to work tomorrow. She was incredibly helpful. Thank you Natalia
Absolutely incompetent. I go for an eye exam and the Dr says I should get a field test. I schedule it and when I show up they lost it and told me I had to reschedule. Then I di and go in and after waiting 15 minutes PAST my appointment time, I get told that I need to have my health insurance card instead of my vision card, which NOONE told me when I made either appointment. I also found out that my appointment was put in incorrectly as an eye exam the second time for some reason. Poor service and incompetent workers.
4 phone calls. I talked with 2 different people, said they would call right back or within the day. Days later, no response. Last 2 calls just got the answering machine. Very sad customer service!
Dr Sean Bell and his staff were amazing to work with! They took the time to give me a reminder call the day before my appointment. Sean explained everything during my eye exam. He gave me a couple different contact lenses to try for a 10 days. I ended up buying a pair of glasses that I love because they dont strain my eyes like my contacts did in the past. When I went back to pick up my glasses they made sure I was happy. Even dialed in the fit. When I was shopping at Target afterward, I saw one of the employees who had helped me the week before so I said hello. To my surprise, she remembered my name. All in all, it was a great experience. Id recommend Dr Sean Bell and his staff to anyone.
While visiting my daughter in Minnesota, I received excellent professional service from Dr. Sean Bell and his staff at the Shoreview Target eye clinic.I was relieved that I could obtain an appointment to have my eye evaluated before I left for a two month trip to Europe. Dr. Bell took my eye concern seriously and gave me a thorough exam, an informative explanation of his findings and issued a referral to a surgeon who specialized in my particular situation. He faxed my data over to the referred surgeon and helped me get an immediate appointment. Dr. Bells calm, personable manner gave me confidence in his diagnosis and peace of mind that I could travel without worrying about finding an eye doctor overseas.I would recommend Dr. Bell to anyone looking for glasses, contacts or to have any eye concerns treated.
Donna was very helpful and went above and beyond!
Dr. Bell was awesome! On Saturday, I suddenly developed a potentially serious eye problem. Dr. Bell worked me into his already-full schedule right away, even though I did not have an appointment. He examined my eye, and gave me some drops to use. He then called me Saturday night, on his own time, to see how I was feeling. Fortunately, I was doing much better. He contacted me again on Sunday, and was prepared to have me come to his office that day (on his day off), if I was not still improving. My eye was continuing to improve, so he had me come in on Monday for a final check. This was wonderful, above-the-call-of-duty service, for which I was most grateful.
The experience with Dr. Bell was wonderful (5 stars), but every part of trying to get my co-pay, fitting fee back is completely different. I have never paid a fitting fee and now I have to. I called insurance to get this worked out and they just keep telling insurance it was submitted. I am not sure what is going on with their system at Target, but if Dr. Bell wants to keep clients I would recommend getting a better system or his own shop. This has been such a headache.
My eye insurance switched and I was hesitant to try Target Optical, but the Shoreview site was convenient so my husband and I both came in with our new prescriptions, that were from an outside Dr. eye exam. I want to thank Sara and DeLacy for their exceptional service in helping us pick out frames, make sure our prescriptions and physical settings were optimal for us and that all of our insurance benefits were applied. Sara was very thorough when we came to pick them up to make sure everything was perfect on our progressive lenses. The entire experience was friendly, professional and accurate- we will definitely be back!
The staff was absolutely amazing in helping me use my benefits. So easy and fast!
I had to cancel my eye exam yesterday as the staff(she was claiming she is the manager) was rude and unfriendly with my family and kids. She was even daring us to complain. I guess she doesnt like certain section of clients(may be racist). Thanks to her unfriendly behavior I found a fantastic store VisionWorks where I was treated like an important client. Please refrain from using this store!
Staff is always unfriendly and even somewhat rude, very unpleasant to deal with. They are extremely disorganized and struggle to obtain patient records and insurance information within their own system. They do not accept many types of insurance and are not clear and upfront about this (insurance accepted by Target Optical is not necessarily accepted by the doctor). They are difficult to reach by phone and took over 24 hours to return a call made during business hours. What should be a convenient location and service is anything but.
Dr. Bell is a wonderful provider, very knowledgeable and genuinely nice. However, I am not so satisfied with the way my insurance billing was handled. First of all, when I arrived for my appointment 15 minutes early, I was immediately told that they were having trouble finding me in my insurance providers system. This carried over 15 minutes into my appointment because they needed an authorization before the doctor could even see me so that I would be properly charged any co-pays for the exam. After they finally found me in the system, I went back, had my appointment with the doctor and while I waited for him to finish up with sending the prescription out, was told I could go pick out some frames. I already had done this while waiting before my appointment, so I just kinda wandered until they were ready to ring me up. I cant remember the name of the gentleman who helped me, but it was pretty obvious he was new. He never discussed lens options with me, just asked me which frames I would like to go with and then did a few extra measurements. I had inquired about a promotion I noticed going on for 50% off of lenses and 50% off of frames, and asked if that applied to all frames. He replied that it was for all of them except for the Oakley frames. I was under the impression that this was just a general promotional discount they were running for everyone. When I received the final charges, I had sticker shock. My charges came up to $258 after they ran it through my insurance, but I okayed it and put it on my credit card (because I was not expecting such a hefty bill, and didnt have the money right then and there). As soon as I got home, I called them because I felt like I had maybe gotten charged incorrectly. I got the same gentleman on the phone who had rung me up, and asked for a little clarification on why it was so much. I mentioned the promotion they had going on once again, and then asked if this was only for people who didnt have insurance, or who/what exactly the promotion covered. He confirmed that yes, it was only for people who didnt have insurance and he ran both the promotion and the insurance before giving me my total, and the insurance covered more than the promotion..... which I dont believe to be correct. My insurance covered less than 50% of my lenses (which I was under the impression would be free because of the carrier I have, who list that SV lenses are free of charge.... but that is a whole different story), which I was not given an option on... they just picked them for me. To make a long winded rant short: I would just hope that going forward, you guys would try to be a little more organized when it comes to insurance and upfront with your customers when they ask about promotional deals, and maybe give them the option of choosing a lens package that works for them, rather than just defaulting to what they have used in the past.
Target opticals donโt have sophisticated instruments to determine precised prescription. In my case my prescription was wrong. I donโt recommend to opt for Target opticals
Seems like the doctors nice but try to pay your bill, GOOD LUCK
Used to be good, but not anymore. Staff was rude and ignorant.
