Well stocked pet store, but quite frequently I go in and nobody is smiling or even acknowledging that you’re there. Went in today to purchase some items and made it home without 2 of the items I purchased. Should’ve asked for a paper receipt….

I called ahead to check they had some snails for my fish tank, they were friendly and helpful in person as well, I have nothing but the best to say about them.

They are awesome!!! They can give you called when they got new animals, reasonable food for animals and fishs they try to help you another way to help your animal to eat they have lots of grooming stuff and some animals case, they have a grooming for your pets and check it out, my kiddos loves it,it like mini zoo for the. Customer service funny and helpful too.

UPDATE: BEWARE OF THIS STORE! Dropped from 3 to 1 star because the two puppies they sold us that we supposed to be chihuahuas have turned out to be mutts. If we wanted mongrels, we would have adopted puppies from the humane society, not paid a premium price for puppy mill pups from a pet store. Yes, I call it puppy mill because a true breeder wouldnt let the chihuahua mother crossbreed and contaminate a litter then sell the puppies as chihuahuas. We know they crossbred her with second non-chihuahua father because my mother got a chihuahua puppy from the same litter that is a full chihuahua. Our puppy already weighs over 12 pounds at only 5 months old and looks nothing like a chihuahua now. My moms chihuahua puppy weighs only 4 pounds now.ORIGINAL REVIEW: Friendly and helpful staff. I would given 5 stars but I took away 2 stars because found $26.00 a surprise Customer convenience fee on my receipt after spending over $500 there. They never told me that charge would be there or what it was for. Ive never seen a charge like that anywhere ever and dont know what it was for. I wont be returning.

Such a great little pet shop that has grooming also! Friendly staff that fit my doggie in for a drop in pedicure done by Michelle. (Hopefully spelled correctly). They were soo nice to clip his toe nails so he wouldnt scratch people in excitement. Highly recommend! And the dog treats at the front area are huge hit. They also have an assortment of fish, reptiles, rabbits, rodents for purchase! Kids love this shop it seems, and try to convince parents to take a unique pet home. Unique items and a good assortment of collars, leashes, treats, bath items and seasonal goods. The staff makes this shop wonderful! Drop in and support small shops like this! We will be back in future!

Their prices can be a bit much. The guy there is super nice, and very helpful. The girls there read from a script and/or dont care.

They do a fantastic job! My dogs always look so good after they leave Perfect Paws! They are very nice and professional. I will always use them to have my dogs groomed.

Michelle is wonderful. I was concerned that Lizzie would be stressed, my first time taking her for a bath. She seemed fine ☺️.

Will not recommend anyone taking their fur baby here. Took my buddy here and was expecting deep shedding shampoo n nails trimmed, I got neither. As a matter of fact he came out worse than he went in, dandruff all on him, other dog hair on him n his leash, and nails still long. Never again will we grace this establishment with our little boy.

Very helpful staff, fair price, clean & conveniently located.Kat even carried my new cat litter box to my car since Id hurt my foot that morning.The cat litter box is awesome!Ive never seen one that the top lid opens up & bottom of door opening has holder for bag so you can clean litter box with one hand!I will use Perfect Paws again

Especially the grooming. My 1st time last week with Malory as a groomer, not only was the grooming exactly as I ask but also my dog was very relaxed when I picked him up. Zero nervousness from him. I’ll definitely return. They also have a great selection of bird supples. Terrific store!

I just walked into this pet store with my mom to inquiry about their pet grooming and as walking in noticed that the grooming was visible. So of course I stopped to watch for a minute and not even within 2 minutes did I see an older women grooming a dog in the most horrific stomach turning way. She was blow drying the dog, pointing the dryer in its face while holding it by its leg. The dog moves it’s face (I mean the blow dryer is blowing in its face, I would do the same) and she grabs it by its throat and yanks the poor dogs head. I am a huge animal lover and would want to know if something like this was happing to my animal. We’ve contacted the store to talk about this horrible situation, but thought I should leave a review to warn others. Look elsewhere to get your dog groomed!!

I’m all about supporting small businesses, especially on the mountain but I don’t think I’ve ever had a welcoming experience coming in. It almost feels like a burden to the employees when you are there. Nobody is smiling and they won’t even make eye contact half of the time. Has an alright selection overall.

Lots of amazing aquarium fish.

Pleasant employees, a reasonable amount of saltwater fish and supplies, they said we can get almost anything you need. Not much of a selection of under system filters for salt water. The rest is like most pet shops. There prices are to be expected for a pet shop. They carry quite an assortment of pets and critters and all the necessities to take care of them.

One of the best pet stores I’ve ever been to

Perfect Paws is my place for fish. They have a nice variety of fresh and saltwater creatures. Nice and helpful staff always. I took off 1 star because Ive bought my aquarium plants there for a few years too but, in the past year my aquarium has been infected with unwanted snails twice which are hard to get rid of. (I always rinse my new plants, too.) So now I have to buy them online (Id rather give my business to this local pet shop).

They were slow to acknowledge I was waiting. Be with you in a minute would have been nice, otherwise they were nice.

Have always loved the service I get when I visit perfect paw. The staff is very knowledgeable about their jobs. Will continue to shop there.

This has a great selection, good prices and awesome staff! Id been looking for somewhere a lot more local then where I had been going previously so when I found this place I was pretty excited! When I walked in I was immediately greeted by staff I was surprised by range of selection, they had a little bit of everything and staff knew what they were talking about when asked questions or while having conversation!

I have been taking both of my miniature schnauzers to Michelle at Purrfect paws for more than four years to be groomed and have loved how my dogs look when I pick them up. She and her staff take care of them, perfect hair cuts and nails trimmed. Before coming to Purrfect Paws, I had tried other groomers here in the White Mountains and wasnt thrilled with the results. Love them!!

I really love this place. The animals are well taken care and their habitats are very clean. They have a variety of everything you need and are friendly too.

Highly recommend!! Expect that its a business and they have extra cost because they have to take an extra step to get everything into the shop! That being said I live in the valley and they had such a good selection for fish in specific. Also they man that helped us he was very knowledgeable and shared a passion for the hobby! I am buying fish for a family member in town but Im going to try to safely bring a few fish to the valley if I can!!

Michelle shaved our 17 year old Persian cat and did an amazing job! Bella loves being a short haired girl after all these years. Michelle is so good with her and I highly recommend Perfect Paws for cats and dogs!

The Best Schnauzer groomers on the Mountain! They are absolutely awesome!

This is the best pet store I have ever been too. The staff are well trained, and care about animals first, and customers second. I have gone in repeatedly prepared to spend at least $100, and they gave me free solutions. The staff will talk to you about your pets needs and care, till you are comfortable. I am teaching my 7 year old son to pay himself, and they are super patient and honest. I would say they are the most honest and kind people I have met.

Best price on frozen feeders for my snakes

I have 3 dogs, 2 small and 1 large. They didnt hesitate at all in taking all of them. Price is reasonable and they did everything needed and my dogs seemed happy when I picked them up! Highly recommend this doggy beauty parlor!!

Perfect Paws. staff are friendly, very helpful and knowledgeable! The store has everything you could need from amphibians, birds, arachnids,puppies, bunnies, hamsters and all habitats and food. I always enjoy my spent there.

This place is exactly as I remember it as a kid 20 years ago! And thats a great thing. The store is small, but has a wide variety of pet care items for many different pets. They also have an interesting and unique variety of pets themselves. When I was in they had puppies, kittens, mini pigs, hamsters, reptiles, birds, and both fresh and saltwater fish. One thing that really stood out to me was that every single one of their fish aquariums was absolutely pristine. The fish looked very healthy and the tanks werent overcrowded. The staff is very helpful and knowledgeable. I will definitely be back.

I enjoy coming into this place, especially with younger nieces and nephews, great learning experience for them, but majority of the time Ive gone in here, the staff always seem annoyed when asked any form of question or like youre taking time out of their busy day to bother them. Not all of them, but most of them. It is clean and stocked and the animals are very well taken care of though.

Great as usual, we love our local pet store.

While the people are nice, my dogs haircut is different each time and i always give the same thing. I do get someone different groomed the dog most likely but this last visit it wasnt the best and she is missing a chunk of hair front on her back part of the leg. From where it is and how it looks, she didnt do but a human. It was around $50 for this hair cut and honestly I could have gone anywhere else paid $35-40, got a good cut and a toy for her.

I have always enjoyed this pet store, however last time we were in my wife noticed a light out in one of the bird cages. The bird inside was fluffed up and looked to be very cold.She told an employee who mearly stated Oh yeah that lights been out for a few days nowIm sorry but I cant support a pet store that doesnt care about their animals.

What a selection!! They have salt and fresh water, all manner of reptiles... Rodents...Everything is clean and fresh.

Over all a great pet store. However, the advice given about our fish turned out to be inaccurate and they ended up dying. As far as cleaning the tank and feeding them, clearly wasn’t the right info. Other than that, a great place.

Groomer does a great job on my labradoodle. Everyone there is very helpful, friendly and courteous.

I prefer to go to this small town establishment for a majority of our furbabies NEEDS and wants! The owner and staff make it a point to greet every customer and help them. The prices are extremely comparable to the larger pet & super stores.
