This is a very good location with and extremely helpful and knowledgeable staff. Not only did they help me find the novels I was looking for. They also had good conversation to go along with it. While they assisted me with my literary needs. Most certainly will be back to this location.

Love the atmosphere of books and coffee while diving in deep into a book about whatever your heart desires. If you want to hide anything then put it in a book but beware of doing that at Barnes and Noble because that very same book will get picked and read by someone.

Relaxing. Get coffee, buy books. Look at cute things you want to buy. Spend a paycheck. Its all good.

Comfortable and easy viewing of materials at Starbucks while reading.

Of course my favorite bookstore ever but I wish they had more seating options outside of the cafe like some of the other Barnes and nobles Ive frequented. And I dont know what it is but for the prices Barnes & Nobles charges and the clientele that they have Im always completely surprised at the state of their bathrooms and its not just this place for some reason Barnes and nobles in general have a horrible bathroom which doesnt make for very pleasant shopping experience considering how much time I spend in the store and of course drinking tons of coffees or sodas from the cafe. Otherwise I love it, and the staff, always very helpful and very well stocked store.

This Barnes and Noble is my go to getaway. The staff have never failed to be polite, helpful, and engaging conversationalist.The cafe is always clean and well stocked. Its perfect for an afternoon study session or a met up with a friend or two. The store is perfectly organized and easy to navigate. Youd be hard pressed not to find what you are looking for, and maybe a few extra items along the way. Ive been a patron of this store since it opened approximately 20 years ago, and it has never let me down once.As a side note: the parking lot, entrance, and store isles are all handicap accessible.

Sadly its one of the few brick & mortar bookstores left in Shreveport. I love the exclusive hardback books they carry, the board game selection, the unique collectibles, & obviously the awesome variety of books they keep in stock.

Cant help it I still love book stores. Theyre kind of going the way if Block Busters. Half the fun of buying a book is shuffling around the store and getting a coffee.

There was a good selection but was disappointed that there was a larger selection of black militant books than self-improvent. It would have been a better experience if the selections were better balanced. I do not like having one viewpoint forced upon me!

This used to be one of my favorite places to go, probably because its one of the few brick and mortar bookstores around here. But lately each experience there has been chipping away at my willingness to keep going there. The rearrangement of the store is odd and disjointed--the aisles are easily clogged if more than two people decide to strike up conversation there (and they do) and some of the sections are spread out in a weird way where I have to search a little to continue down the alphabet (author name wise). But most of the time the staff is polite and willing to help--I guess the holidays turn everyone into grinches though. The checkout line is odd and unclear--it snakes through the shelves and then splits into three with clear dots. I moved to the nearest register after standing in the line and because the employee at the register didnt call us from the line, we were told not to jump and go back to the end of the line. Even when some people told her we had been there (except the woman right behind us, who had been breathing down my neck), we were shunned all the way back to the back. Ill try again after the holidays but, Im losing hope.

Barnes & Noble is a well known national book chain. The staff here is very courteous. I had gone with my grand daughter to the Saturday morning story reading for children. I am surprised how passionate they are about it, from story telling to coloring activity to treat for children and parents prepared by their in-house Starbucks. I will encourage every parent to take their child for this activity. They have some more activities on Thursday and Fridays too.

This is a great 0lace to get all types of books. They have a nice kids area and multiple other sections. You can buy learning toys. Overall I think this is a great place to get books for learning or any other type of book.

I love Barnes and Noble book stores. Being off inquisitive mind, I can browse for hours. The beautiful part is, management does not mind you browsing through their books. I have even read parts of books while sitting at the coffee shop located within the store. What is your interest? Civil war period? WW2? World leaders? Barnes Noble has your interest covered. If you cant locate what you are looking for, ask a store associate. If they cant locate your choice, they will order the book of your choice. Barnes Noble is all about service, and that core belief is consistent all the way through their merchandizing. Happy reading.

I love coming here when I have time to kill. The smell of the books and the quiet environment make for a pleasant experience. Sometimes I just walk around and look at all the books -- I do usually end up buying a few.

This is a great place to stop and check out when your in the mood for a new book but unsure what to get into next. They have a great selection and have people to assist you with any questions you have. Their cafe is pretty sweet too!

Barnes and Noble is a place you can spend hours and plenty of your money. Even if your not much of a reader there are plenty of unique and interesting things for persons of all ages and interests. Was quite surprised to find the selection they had on certain items. Neat place to spend some time, grab a coffee and relax. Staff were friendly and store was very neat and organized.

Always a great experience. The workers are helpful and attentative. Great selection of books and a convenient Starbucks inside.The only tweaks I suggest: another set of cushioned reading chairs. 3 chairs for a store this size is a little low. There are an adequate number of wood chairs and they are surprisingly comfy. Also, perhaps turn down the ambient music? While lower than it was last time I was there, it can be a bit distracting.These are small things. Overall, a great store!

This is an amazing bookstore. You can find almost any book here and they have good board games too. You really can spends hours in this place and never get board. Dont forget to grab a coffee from Star Bucks in store. Have fun

Severally over priced books. They want over $100 for a book thats four years out of date. Cashier was very rude because I didnt want to buy the overpriced book.

Employees are always wonderful and help you get what you need. It has a great selection and a Starbucks cafe inside. It also has sitting spots if you wanna just sit a read for a bit.

A nice quiet place to spend an afternoon looking through books, board games, puzzles, and educational toys. The Starbucks cafe inside the store offers a great place to sit and meet with friends or study. If you plan on using a laptop be aware the is only one available outlet in the cafe area.

Great Halloween book selection and fall flavored drinks to accompany it! Customer service was outstanding and they are always happy to help you find what youre looking for. Prices are reasonable and they offer so much more than just books! Great for that hard to shop for person as they have so many items to choose from.

I can remember when these stores were the go to place. Its startling how quickly the market changed and these large stores, like pennys, sears, & best buy didnt keep up with the market. I went by on new years and picked up some coffee and looked around; pretty much the same merchandising from 20 years ago. I predict, that this chain will be lucky to survive intact 2019. Customer service is OK but it ought to be great.

Books and coffee whats not to love? Service in the cafe was superb & delicious. I received amazing assistance from a very helpful gentleman in the information area & was able to locate my sons summer reading books and a few extras as well.

They have pretty much everything. Always some good items on clearance. Good childrens section, the Star Wars kids books are very clever. Starbucks is nice to relax and enjoy a new title. Never too busy, always just right.

The bookstore had a great display of gifts and the Starbucks made it easy to grab a coffee and something sweet. A must stop to get pick up something for everyone. The parking lot was a bit hectic, so have some patience.

Nice store my grandson found his 📚 to learn other languages and I found my Concordanxe bible it helped me study the word of god and my granddaughter found a dinosaur book. Nice people, pleasant atmosphere.

Cozy and Inviting! This location smells like fresh brewed coffee because there is a Starbucks inside. They have a cozy sitting area if you want to curl up with a book for few minutes and enjoy a brownie or a latte. All of the new releases and best sellers are right in the center of the store, easy to find. The staff is extra helpful and inviting. Even other customers are polite and helpful. I asked a few college students what book they thought would be great for a highschool kid in a chemistry class and they were very helpful. Its something about the atmosphere there that calms people and makes you extend the olive branch. Great job guys!

Shopping for travel resources, this store had more beautiful books and gifts than ever. Quiet, welcoming, and staff went above and beyond. Love this store!

The cashier lost it when he had to do simple math. Long story short, he didnt & just did what his register told him to do. Other than that depressing story, not a bad place--I was able to get what I wanted pretty simply.

The store is organized to find books easily. If you have trouble finding a book, the staff are eager to help you. They can spot when you look confused and offer help. When a book is unavailable, B&N will order it for you. There is a great childrens area where books are read to them. And dont forget the coffee shop to get a treat.

This is the only chain bookstore in Shreveport. It is pretty neat and clean and has a decent selection. The manga and magazine stand are each exceptionally good. The employees are courteous and knowledgeable but the information booth is rarely staffed as it should be.Update: second time Ive been here recently and the supply of books is way down. Also the employees act like they cant wait for you to finish paying so they can talk to each other. Frankly Im done. The half price book store half a mile down has a better selection and their employees give a damn. I really cant wait to see what replaces this fake junk bag when it closes down.

Love being able to cozy up with a book or magazine and read a few chapters while enjoying some amazing coffee. Always love the quietness, the comfort and just pure satisfaction of the entire experience!

A good place to browse for new books. Regular sales and discounts help lower the higher prices. Regular clearance sales can occasionally unearth great stuff for 50-75% off. Theyll also happily order anything off their website for you to pick up in store.

Employees were very helpful and we found a ton of gifts for Xmas. Some of them were even cheaper than their Walmart counterparts.

I have mixed feelings on B&N at the moment.i was up all night waiting for their SDCC exclusives to go online but they never did.made the 40 minute drive to the store to pick them up.although I was able to get the ones I was after,they did not have any kind of line management system for the crowd waiting outside so when the doors opened it didnt matter how long you had been waiting or what place you were in line,it was who could get to the table of product first.in the future,I would hope they implement some type of ticket system or a way to ensure those waiting in line longest were serviced first.

I was about to pick up the latest version (6th) of the APA Manual here. They keep copies behind the register desk. Make certain to ask for what you need when you come in because it is a more smooth experience.

Giant store with tons of books and various bibliophile paraphernalia! Overall just my kind of place, with the pleasant aroma of coffee from the built-in Cafe and tons of supplies beyond mere books alone. Always on my list when Im in town to stop by.

The book selection is pretty good but the store is laid out kind of awkwardly. The help in the store isnt great. They will not price match their own online store.

Love coming here to grab a coffee and puruse. The staff is always really friendly and helpful. The Starbucks inside is always a nice place to study or meet up with a group for class (there arent many outlets for your laptop though). I do wish they offered more variety in certain genres.

I have lived in Shreveport since Mid July. I moved in an apartment near B&N. I met a friend and our first meeting was at B&N. I got there early and browsed around. It brought back memories of my visits at a B&N in Chicago. I was transported to a comfortable place. A place near home.

This is a good Barnes and Noble location--typical for the chain, but very inviting and a great place to browse. They have many options for stationery and cute kitschy gifts as well as a selection of books thats hard to beat in the area.
