Classic New England candy store with amazing chocolates!

Awesome little homey chocolate shop where they make all of the product directly downstairs. Some things can be a little pricey but its worth it.

So good to be able to go physically back to Heberts this year for Easter! The selection was more limited but certainly enough choices to make Easter gift bags for friends. Nothing better than a Heberts Chocolate Bunny on Easter. Thank you for surviving the Pandemic and may Heberts come back even stronger next year.

Love this place. Always stop by when we come up to Massachusetts. So good to see a small privately owned business making it all these years. My husband though was disappointed not to find almond bark in white chocolate.

Wont be coming back for chocolate from this company. The chocolate may look good but its not. It tastes like wax stale chocolate.

Good selection. I love that they had sugar free chocolates available. I had a delicious cappuccino chip ice cream and my husband had milky way. There are A couple dozen toppings to choose from if thats what fancy. The clearance section is to the back of the store, I wish I had know this all along there were since great deals back there but I had already paid before spotting it.

I SO love this place and am happy they have survived and transitioned into the on-line world. As a kid growing up in Sterling, Mass., we had a Heberts Store in town and candies, especially white chocolate (the best in the world!!!) lollipops in the appropriate character for the Holiday, were part of all Holiday celebrations.When my kids were old enough I would buy the same treats until I was relegated to just the box of white and/or milk chocolates - which they love to this day.Recently I ordered Easter bunny chocolates for them and accidentally checked Store Pickup. When I hadnt received them last week I emailed and they informed me of my error. I asked them to please ship them to me and sure enough I got them in time for Easter.Way To Go!Excellent Customer Service!Thank You!!!

Awefull as a employee all Spanish speaking temp help.they do not make there own chocolate 😐 I was shocked and sad to see they just melt down big blocks of hershey chocolate then put in hebert mold then charge you tripple for it.just go to store and buy hershey bar same thing

The best gormet chocolate around. Especially during the holidays. Halloween, Easter, Valentines Day, Mothers Day. They have something for all occasions. They also have a build your own ice cream sundae bar. Ive been going there for as long as I can remember. Smells so go in there.

Just because you can make chocolate doesnt mean you should. Its not bad, but Id rate it a solid level or two below your average Hersheys chocolate item.And I feel like they ruined a perfectly good mansion.

The oldest candy mansion in the US. Their candy is amazing. A little pricey but you get what you pay for. If youre lucky enough show up on a Sunday, enjoy their ice cream sundae buffet.

This place totally lived up to its name! I was expecting a small selection of overpriced candy, but I was wrong. There are multiple rooms full of candies! I went after Easter and was able to reap the benefits of discount Wabbits. I totally raided the by the pound candy selection, got a few candy sticks, as well as a bag of rainbow laces, and some other things. I panicked a bit, because I was worried that I might have gotten a little too carried away, but nope. My total was less than $20. Thats a win for me. The rainbow laces were the perfect texture: wonderfully chewy, yet still very soft and just the right amount of flavor. I was in heaven when I bit into a milk chocolate Wabbit with almonds. It was so smooth and creamy, and not overwhelmingly sweet like Ive experienced from other gourmet chocolates. The dark chocolate and coconut bar was amazing, a perfect balance of the bitterness and richness of dark chocolate and the mellowness of coconut. The staff were very helpful and pleasant. I definitely want to try out the ice cream bar in the future!

Still the confectionery go to for the atmosphere, ice cream sundaes, coffee and special events. But you cannot forget the chocolate. Hebert chocolate has a particular smoothness and flavor hard to find anywhere else. The chocolate and other treats are made on site so they are fresh. During the summer they host great classic car meets. Easter and Christmas kid inspired events are worth attending. On route 20 in Shrewsbury worth the pit stop.

They have very cute holiday themed treats and everything from chocolate & hard candies to ice cream! Definitely worth a stop whether you are local or just passing through. Plus snag a free sample and get some of your holiday shopping done all-in-one!

We took the grandkids here to see Santa. They are only 2, but they loved walking around and seeing the giant Frosty. Had their first truffles. Lots of fun.

A New England tradition. These chocolatiers have been producing fine chocolate for generations. I highly recommend their chocolate products.If you visit their home base you can enjoy one of their signature extras... a sundae bar... they scoop out the ice cream and then you can put any (or all) of Id guess 30 toppings on top!

I received these chocolates from a friend in MA, who passed by your store on a business trip. The dark chocolate Genevas are beyond words. Perfect size, creamy, smooth and a wonderful taste. Best gift ever.

Great chocolates! Theyre high quality..... the creams in the chocolates are dense and creamy with a lot of flavor; the chocolate truffles melt in your mouth; and the overall chocolate is creamy and smooth with great flavor! I like that you can make your own chocolate box and pick out your own chocolate!

Store almost empty and chocolate just hasnt been the same quality the last several years..

Beautiful old building with a lot of parking. Great candy, some if which is still made on site in the viewable candy factory. Ice cream bar.Great events around Christmas and Easter. These get crowded, arrive early and bring your patience, but worth the wait.

I always come here after a day of apple picking at Honey Pot Hill Orchard. Love the fact that the chocolate is still being made on site.

I do not come here often but make the drive to pick up my dads favorite candy. He grew up on white chocolate cashew turtles. They normally have a large assortment of taffy, specialty chocolates, bars, gift boxes, and even a self serve ice cream bar. They scoop the ice cream and you add the rest. The last time I was there I only got ice cream and the turtles. They did not have my husbands peanuts, my chocolate bars, or any of the specialty pops or truffles. I am not sure if they were just super busy or downsizing. They are normally a 5/5 when the store is stocked.

The chocolate was delivered hot, melted and inedible. The company emailed me back and stated that I would receive a refund and replacement for the damaged goods.

When I was young, Im 47, this place was filled with decoration and product. Now its open and a bit sparse looking the product is all spread out. Good access for wheelchairs. The chocolate is the real stuff of my dreams. It hasnt changed. Wonderful, wonderful chocolate!!! However the staff is not what I expect. Three employees were gathered around the register transferring chocolates into another package. They were wearing gloves, but why are they repacking product there and not out back? It looked a bit sloppy to me. The cashier was efficient but not friendly.

Ive been wanting to go to Heberts for a long time. So today I finally went. All the hype and I was kinda disappointed. All the candy was wrapped up so you cant see what it looks like expect for the things in the cases and a few other things. I was shocked at the prices. For example some chocolates were $20 a pound. I think chocolate is kind of heavy. Thats just my opinion.

I havent been to Heberts in years. The one near us closed a few years ago.. I used to go with my mom. Great chocolate!

Chocolate is amazing

Local candy store thats also a candy factory. There is just about anything for your sweet tooth. Its nice when you know its freshly made and not sitting in a warehouse and store shelves for months. During holidays they bring in the Easter bunny and Santa seasonally. There candy is diverse from dark and milk chocolates, to fudge and truffles. They do have a small section of sugar free chocolate. During Easter they do bring in some commercial candies but mostly sell there seasonal characters such as bunnies or Santa chocolates as an example. Sometimes you can see them making the chocolate thru the glass walls. My personal favorite is the white chocolates. This is the last of the Hebert stores and is called the Hebert candy mansion as it is located in a very large older victorian home.

Not great.. they have a decent assortment but the only chocolate that they make is the boxed chocolate marked Geneva. Years ago I bought a box.of assorted chocolates and the nuts were alI bad. I havent been here in years but thought I would give this another try. This time i purchased the milk chocolate Genevas and the milk chocolate with almonds. The chocolate is not a good quality. It doesnt melt on the tongue but instead there was an unpleasant residual oily feeling left behind. Despite the fact that I chose these flavors because they were just being restocked, they both tasted stale - and just not a great quality. So disappointed after spending $27 per lb...

Went here to have pictures taken with Santa, one of the better Santas in the area. Get there early as the line can get really long quick.Car shows are great here too, always worth stopping in when passing by.

Went on Thursday night for the cars. Not enough cars. There werw some nice ones tho.

If your kids find their way to the sundae bar, they will be set up with ice cream cups and sent through the bar without a parent there or the purchase being made. Imagine my surprise to see my 2 kids happily making their way through the candy buffet. Hebert fail to just take the ice cream back and forgo the payment.

My visit of 28th July was to visit a vintage Volkswagen show, not to get candy. However, I have great memories of shopping there for delicious chocolates and confections - and enjoying great ice cream. A very pleasant place to visit!

We visited in November and what a beautiful day it was. We walked in and enjoyed samples of Maple Syrup Chocolate bars to scream for! We purchased a handful of those. As well as Heberts very own FUDGE!

Such a unique and great place. I have a lot of great childhood memories of going here with my family. They used to decorate the whole store for each holiday season. As a kid you feel like your in Willy wonkas factory.They have an excellent self serve ice cream bar with tons of quality toppings. The whole place smells like delicious chocolate.Every Christmas we used to get my father the giant chocolate santa and on Easter the giant bunny.Definitely a place to stop by and explore if you havent been. Or if you have a serious sweet tooth. 😁

If you walk in with curious george, this is really a candy mansion. But eating ice cream here was only on OK experience. As for chocolate, I trust European brands to deliver a more delicious flavor than American ones.
