Was truly a first class experience from the thorough and painless games of tests to most professional and kind optometrist. I have and would highly recommend coming here. Thank you for such a great experience. This is not to mention I had to come here a month earlier with a piece of debris embedded in my eye without an appointment and they got it out painlessly.

Not your typical/standard Optometry office. Ive been getting my eye exam annually for the last decade and no one has been more thorough than Dr. To, it was really cool to see how my dry eye glands are and my corneal topography.Dr. To has fitted me with Ortho-k lenses (typically worn while sleeping) and its been such a great experience. I have really dry eyes and my daily contacts gets irritated throughout the day, it sometimes pops out or folds when I rub my eye (allergies). But ever since getting Ortho-K it has made a big difference being able to see naturally without contacts during the day, my dry eyes and allergies doesnt affect me as much.Hats off to Dr. To and Rosie, they are both wonderful and very informative to answer any questions I had. I wont be needing to search for a new optometrist yearly now!

The staff is very friendly, helpful and thorough. During an eye exam they walk you through just about every step they are doing and why they are doing it. Also you can tell they put a ton of effort into making you feel safe during covid-19 times with added precautions and air filtration. They truly do go above and beyond.

Had an absolutely amazing and wonderful experience at Lumen Optometric. Not only were they a charismatic and friendly group, their COVID-19 protocols were top-notch, making me feel super safe through my entire appointment. First visit to Lumen Optometric. It was great! The office staff is incredible nice and very attentive. Considering the current Covid situation, the office felt extremely clean and safe. The measures this office is taking, not only with cleaning but with the special devices used to clean the air in the environment are just great. I felt extremely safe and taken care of. The Doctor was very nice, very thorough in the process of checking my eyes and always made sure to explain everything he was looking at or for in regards to my eye health. There is not an extreme selection of frames but the frames they do have are very nice! The staff helped me choose a pair that I ultimately liked very much and boy was she so patient! I took a long time trying to pick out frames and she couldnt have been nicer! I am so sorry for I dont remember her name but ultimately just know that the two ladies that helped me were wonderful! I highly recommend this optometry office!

My family and I had a wonderful and extremely safe visit at Lumen. There attentiveness to detail made us all comfortable. I brought my young kids for their yearly eye exam. Nothing has changed in the vision, but I wanted to make sure they have healthy eyes. All the staff were masked. There were a lot air filters per sqft. We will be back again!

In these tough times during covid19, Lumen Optometric goes above and beyond to ensure us patients are safe and remain healthy. Cleaning everything after each patient even purifying the air in every room! Hands down thee best optometrist I’ve ever been too. The employees are awesome, friendly and very helpful. Everyone at this location is great! Tech here is up to date and staff is extremely helpful and friendly. I came here to get scleral lenses and every step of the way I was impressed with the tech compared to my last doctors office. They also have a great messaging service for any follow up questions/concerns. If you have keratoconus and youre looking to get fitted for scleral lenses, look no further. Im a customer for life now!

The staff at Lumen Optometric was very warm and welcoming at my first visit. They even answered my cell call and gave me excellent directions when I got lost trying to find their location. I followed Dr. To from Stein Optometric in Burbank to his new location in Sierra Madre because he does such a thorough job evaluating my eyesight plus he has a down to earth demeanor and a great personality. If you are looking for a grade AA optometrist, Dr. To is that person.

I havent gotten my eyes checked for years and was due for an appointment. I came to Lumen and the service was amazing! I went through 16 different frames and thanks to Vivian and Michelle they helped me find the perfect pair for my face. Dr. To explained how each instrument and machine works. Everything in the office was so brand new and pristine. I was a very comfortable place and usually I dont feel comfortable at a doctors office but it made me feel at ease and just curious about how everything works. I like how Dr. To shows you photos of your eyes and oil glands! Definitely would recommend this place!

One of the most thorough eye exams Ive ever had. Went well beyond checking my prescription - included comprehensive examination of oil glands, tear ducts, etc. More that anything you can experience at a nation chain. Lumen also has very up to date equipment and the ability to show you things in detail like youve never seen. On top of all this, they have really hip frames and the store has a great style that is certainly unique and high end. Highly recommend!

From the staff to the Doctor, it was such a pleasant experience. Doctor To is patient, kind and so very thorough. He took the time to explain all about my eyes and what each thing he did would tell him about them. After my exam it was time to get fit for glasses. I was properly fit and off I went. Within a week I had a perfect pair of eyeglasses. Every one was more than happy to accommodate my needs and get me taken care of with the utmost professionalism and courtesy. I am very happy.

I came in with concerns regarding new headaches. Dr. To was very thorough in evaluating all the possible causes. He identified the most likely cause and provided a referral to a specialist. Cutting edge tech that nobody else has. Incredibly thorough exam. Dr. Eric didnt miss a beat. He was stellar. He helped me with migraines (which nothing has helped thus far). When I put on the glasses my eyes filled with tears (of joy) because of the immediate relief I felt. This is hands down the best optometry clinic around. Plus, the frames are all hand selected, so that any pair you try on is bound to be cute. And the interior design of the space is sublime. I now refuse to go anywhere else.

After 30+ years of never having an eye exam. I finally decided to make use of my eye insurance, and visited Lumen Optometric. I was really nervous, and did not know what to expect. As soon as i walked in I was greeted with a warm welcome. Filled out some forms with the help of Michelle and Vivian, and then started the pretest. They made sure i was comfortable, and understood every machine being used to check my vision. After the pretest waited in the lobby for a minute or two where i was greeted by Dr. To. During the exam Dr. To made everything clear (see what i did there =D). Left the exam with a full understanding of my check up! Thanks for the great exam!!

Dr. To, Michelle & Vivian are so helpful! The office is cutting edge when it comes to technology. I have been going to an optometrist every year (over 30 years) and every year I would just get fitted for stronger glasses. Dr. To was so thorough in showing the xrays of my eyes and how to strengthen my eyes. He also told my wife about CRT; which no one had every mentioned in the past. She now only wears glasses to read. Dr. Eric To is the consummate professional and will go into detail about your eye health. In my case he went over the glands in my eyes that I was not aware of, and showed me my optic nerve data to assist in maintaining proper eye health in the long term. He was the only one that took my concerns seriously. He also showed me what was going on with my eye that was contributing to dryness. With a solid plan of attack, I am able to address & help prevent my symptoms from getting worse.In addition to this, he did an initial exam on my 6 year old daughter and he was a joy to work with. Lumen Optometric is fantastic. The ladies in the front make everything easy, from setting an appointment to trying on your new glasses. Dr To is extremely knowledgeable and enthusiastic about optometry - I learned more about my eyes in one visit with him than I ever knew before!Not only is Lumen fantastic for regular eye exams and new glasses, but theyre helpful with walk-ins too! Last week I was having severe allergies and my eyes would not stop itching/swelling. I walked in to ask for advice and within minutes Dr To came out and told me what eye drops to look for at the pharmacy. It was a simple question/answer but it saved my day!

Dr. Eric is professional, taking the time to go through the entire exam process and explain what each test is for and how it connects to your eye health in general. As a person with wet macular degeneration in my family history, losing my sight is a full out nightmare scenario for me. Im a programmer. I need three things working well in order to do my job and having a conversation where each step is carefully detailed removes a lot of fear from the process.Dr. Eric knows my wife and I have fairly sever myopia (nearsightedness) and just due to genetics my daughter is at an elevated risk to suffer the same fate. He explained it doesnt necessarily have to be that way and pointed me over to the NIH studies he was referring to. That care, attention to detail to make us comfortable and sheer observational skill to know that Im an engineer and I want to see the data means that even though weve moved to New York, when we swing back through California to visit family we stop at Lumen Optometric on the way.
