*Wedding on 7/11/21*Our cake was included with our wedding venue package. We couldn’t have been more thrilled that it was done by Rossmoor Pastries!Tasting: Jeff and I chose from a menu of flavors of cake and filling/frosting. Because of COVID, we couldn’t do an in-person tasting, but we actually had so much fun taking the box to go and eating it right outside! It made the experience less pressure-filled by just being the two of us. Six mini-cakes were included but additional flavor options were only $3 more so we chose two additional flavors. We ended up choosing the white cake and chocolate cake, both with raspberry filling inside. It was delicious!Communication: The staff at Rossmoor were prompt and professional in their emails with me, and always answered questions in a timely manner.Design/Final Product: They have a large variety of cake designs on their website to preview, which made the decision process easy. When we wanted to change the ribbon color on the cake, they sent me a photo with different options. The final product was STUNNING! Simple and elegant, and our florist was able to put fresh flowers on the cake.I truly enjoyed working with Rossmoor and recommend them to future couples getting married!

Amazing bakery. We ordered our daughters Quinceañera cakes from here. From time to time we come get cupcakes, pies and other treats.Vibrant flavors, phenomenal customer service, and a nice clean space to eat and enjoy!

The mother of my child purchased this cake which seem to be like a strawberry shortcake type of cake. This cake was so delicious wasnt overly sweet but just perfect. I cant imagine how delicious the other cakes are they make. Ill be back 🙏🏽

The design matched what we wanted. The flavor was great and the filling was amazing. We have had our wedding cake, birthday cakes, and now family 50 year anniversary cake done here. You cannot go wrong with the quality here. I would recommend this place to everyone.

Like the previous reviewer, Im a long time customer whos noticed a massive decline in customer service over the past 9 months. We have always gotten ALL of our cakes from Rossmoor, which for a large family is 8 a year. Since COVID hit its been impossible to get anyone on the phone and there is no response when trying to place an order through their website. Basically, if it isnt available standard from their refrigerated case you are out of luck.Prices have also gone up for what used to be included decorations. I get that small businesses are facing a tough environment but making it hard for your customers to give you money isnt going to keep the registers ringing. Its with sadness that I remove my previous recommendation for this bakery, they used to be THE BEST.

This place makes beautiful cakes, but their custom cake department has not great customer service. We got a cake from here for our wedding through our venue, and we loved it and decided to order a cake for our one year anniversary. It was supposed to be delivered at 1pm- when it never arrived, I called to follow up and nobody answered my call until 2pm. Finally when I got ahold of them they told me that there was a miscommunication with my order and that they could still deliver it, if I pay a $35 fee. Since it was their error, and the cake was an hour late, I would expect them to drop it off free of charge but I had to pick it up.Besides that fact, when my husband called to inquire about the cake they told him it would be $160 for a cake to serve 4 people. When I called about the same cake, to serve 6,they charged only $80. Not sure why the pricing is so inconsistent.Overall they make beautiful cakes but again, the customer service isn’t great and I think if you say the word “wedding” they jack up the price for no reason 🤷🏻‍♀️

This amazing bakery went from the best in OC to the worst. Horrible customer service; actually, non-existent service. Orders have to be done online despite the bakery being open and staffed. The high quality of their product that I have always received in the past is no longer. Owner should reconsider his current business model - it isn’t working and you are losing loyal customers like me,

The front where you pick up has one nice employee, but that’s about it. There’s not a big selection. Plus there’s a sanitary issue. The boss/owner lets her dog run everywhere in the establishment. Including where the cakes are made. If your allergic to pet dander, do not eat here. Also, the owner has a bad attitude & doesn’t have good hygiene herself. She walks around with Flip flops all the time, and her feet are less than desirable and crusty (especially the heel part, I didn’t see under the foot).

Never disappoints, Im always leaving with twice as much as I came for. Courteous staff.

I used Rossmoor for my wedding cake and the cake was so delicious! They also did an amazing job creating the exact rose gold look/design that I wanted :)

I photographed a wedding at Occasions in Laguna Beach on 06/16/2018, and the couple hired Rossmoor Pastries for their wedding cake. As the cake lover that I am, my clients always save me some! Well, this cake in particular was excellent. It was moist and flavorful with delicious filling and icing while beautifully decorated (see the attached photos). Bottom line: I became a fan/future client!

I got a cake from here for my 15ñera. It was an elegant squared 3 tier cake. I picked the white cake with raspberry supreme filling, I think I also had a layer with strawberry filling. The cake was moist, soft, and just the right amount of sweet.Its been 17 years since my grand party and to this day everyone talks about how it was the best cake they have ever had.I strongly vouch for the quality of the cake and customer care. Worth every dime.

I have been using this bakery for years. Beautiful pastries and cakes. So GOOD on the flavors and textures. As a Culinary professional myself I have high standards when it comes to pastries and Roosmoor never disappoints. You wont/cant go wrong with choosing them for your pastry needs.They undersell themselves on their website, they do amazing work.

Very disappointed. Me and my family have ordered many cakes from rossmoor and the art is amazing but the prices have gone extremely high. Unfortunately the taste is not as good for the price they are asking. I was quoted $430 for 80 people 2 tier cake. The price did not include the filling or flavor just art. We found other bakeries with same art styles, better taste and better price.

Really Nice Bakery! They really have the best assortment of treats. We got a big variety the last time we went and when we got home we could not help ourselves to try all the treats the second we got home! I will definitely make this my go to bakery!

Little pricey, very slow, pastries are the best, cookies little old and dry needs to be better, i have them before but lately not to good sorry guys, they need 2 people behind the counter ❤

8” round cake I asked for Paw Patrol (Skye) decorations. This cake was for my grand daughters birthday. Not at all decorated like Paw Patrol. Asked for strawberry and whipped cream but it tasted like wax. Cost was over $100.00 and it was like throwing money out the window. Very disappointed and will never go there or recommend this place to anyone.

Every city has a place known for the best cakes. Rossmoor is that place in Long Beach, CA. For special occasions. its hard to go wrong with a cake from Rossmoor.

Came here originally 5 years ago for my wedding cake(with the old owners) and decided to come back to place an order for a smash cake for my daughters birthday. They wanted to charge me half of what my wedding cake cost for a 6 in. cake. I get inflation but come on. Unfortunately I wont be back but the cupcakes are good but also too expensive.

I love the pastries from Rossmoor bakery. The service was above and beyond by Val. She alone has changed my mind in revisiting the establishment. 7 years ago I was looking to have Rossmoor make my wedding cake. The entire staff within the bridal events department was extremely rude and gave us frozen taste testing slivers. Treated my sister, daughter and I like fat people looking for free cake. The disdain from the staff was hurtful. So to wrap up. Val was so thoughtful and with a shinning personality at your counters. I will once again return to your establishment. Thank you.

A little bit disappointed in this bakery. My husband and I bought what we thought was a actual cake ended up tasting like one of those cakes or sponge cakes at food for less that cost 8 buckos and not 30 buckoos. It was cool whip icing and strawberries. Same daggone cake at Food for less. It was dry and we bought cinnamon bread I could barely slice it it was so dry and tasteless...smelled really good, Ill give them that. There pastries look good, but not sure if I will go back to try other things. We thought we were getting cake and not sponge cake or strawberry short cake. The staff was very nice and friendly.

They did my wedding cake and all I have to say is I was extremely impressed on delivery service set up service rental service for the cake stand and the refund of the kick stand all were superior! I honestly keep using rossmore As my go to! Their customer service is outstanding and if there is an issue with anything theyre there to help. Best place for gorgeous birthday cakes ever. I always get my cakes from Rossmoor, but on my 13 year olds birthday my husband FORGOT to pick up her cake by closing time! They close at 6pm on Saturday, and are not open on Sunday. We are very lucky they called us and reminded us and then WAITED for us after closing!!! I am so embarrassed, but very grateful!

This bakery has a wonderful selection. They also do specialty wedding, birthday or any occasion cakes. I have always been very pleased with the quality and customer service.

I ordered a 10inch birthday cake that was basketball themed, and there were so many problems about symbols & etc. Then when I look at the cake, the customer service did not inform me where they were placing the names on the jerseys, and simply took it upon themselves to make alterations after I made a FULL payment on a SPECIFIC design. Also, the chocolate cake and its decorations at their best, was simply average. With a bakery with such a major reputation, this was a serious disappointment. I will definitely not be returning to this establishment.

People have been calling and texting us about how amazing our wedding cake was!! We had several flavors but the one that most people commented on was the strawberries and cream cake layer. It was.moist, fresh, and absolutely yummy! I had several friends say that normally they dont really like strawberries and that they were shocked at goh yummy our cake was!! Bakery not very friendly, sarcastic is the word for my experience. I use to order my cakes at the bakery.now is at the wedding section. A simple birthday cakes with one bow. The cost $405.00 its insane! I asked around for the same type of cake and the maximum I found for that same type of cake was $165.00. I payed a maximum of $135.00 in the past for a bigger cake. Sorry not going back!

The bakery has new owners and they must have new pastry staff. I ordered a 6 inch Bailey Irish Creme cake for a birthday. $40! They name on the birthday cake when we opened the box was MARTHA not the name as ordered. The ganache was horrible, tasted like it was made with cocoa powder,it was thin and runny. Worse of all was the cake it self. Very dry, metallic taste, texture was mealy. Horrible cake, overpriced. In years past I would just order the same cake at the counter, a 8 inch for $35. Now you have to order the cake in the WEDDING STUDIO! Looking for a new bakery !

I bought my daughters cake for her baby shower! It was simply delicious 😋 everyone loved it!

So I was really excited to try out this Bakery. It had great reviews and I needed to pick up a Birthday Cake for my husband. I normally go to Portos Cuban Bakery, but did not want to drive out of the way. Since the location is convenient and close to my job, I decided to go for it.Big Mistake. The staff was friendly, but unfortunately the cake was horrible. I selected the Carrot Cake for $39.99 1*8 inch. Which I thought was a little pricy. The cake was stale, no flavor, the pecans around the outside of the cake was super stale in taste as well. For having such great reviews this cake was a disaster. I do not see my self going back unless its for a full refund.

I went on march 10 at 7:30 am and the lady who was took my order was rude and dismissive when I would ask questions. This was my first time there and my last. The pastries were fine but I am sorry but the customer service ruin it for me.

First of all the one star is for the clean place its not so cluttered like it was before. Rossmoor does not get a rating in regards to service. I was in there today around 1235 or so, this sassy guy with a hair net told me I could not get my cake ordered the way I wanted it. I explained to him I just wanted a. Chocolate cake with ganache icing. I could not have that so I said fine chocolate moose for the fiiling, and I only wanted it on one layer. Well I could not do that he said. Why? He went to ask some female in the other room and he came back with no we cant.. I explained to him that he was not paying for it nor was he going to eat it nor was he paying extra for the ganache? So I went to the other side and asked the same girl he did. She said if we do that your cake will look like this holding up her thumb and index to show me how much cake I was getting. And !!!!! They at ROSSMOOR are not eating or paying for it! I told her that it was stupid and you will lose business that way. She tells me she has been there 3yrs. I told her I have been coming there longer then she has been working there, she thanks me. Really dont get smart! I left will never go back will refer all I know else where!

The cake look really nice but the taste 😢 it was dry and didnt had much flavor it was just too sweet..i bought the raspberry filling never tested the rasberry flavor at all..

Its hard to find a real full service old fashioned bakery these days but this one hits the dpot.

When we talk to them we always talk about how delicious th about the dess or the how beautiful a the wedding was. Thatts not even the half of whatt they can make. You should go elsewhere!!! I picked up my cake on a Sunday 30 mins before close and notice that it is not the cake on the picture that I had originally sent over, the artist had decided to make changes without my permission. They offered to make changes to the cake but what changes could you make to the cake two hours before the dinner and its 82 degress outside at least and I am transporting a whip cream icing cake in my car (I dont think so). The best the owners could do was to offer more strawberries that was missing off my cake. Would not refund any of the artist fee nor admit that it was their error. These custom cakes are way to expensive for wack excuses from Janice or Charlie. If you are not some high profile client they care less about you!! The customer service at this bakery SUCKS and eventually it will catch up with them!!!
