Rented from Groetken Companies in South Sioux. And they were fantastic. Quick easy efficient and very courteous. Really made me a believer in U-Haul again after a bad customer service phone experience. That said UhaulsTwitter team is really strong. Highly suggest you rent your vehicles by going to the actual shop.

If youre thinking about using this company let me save you some time and money! Take your business else where. They allow customers to verbally assault you and say nothing and smile while it happens. It was so bad the cops HAD to be called and a warrant is out for the mans arrest. Also, you will never reach a manager! I think the majority of the customers on here that gave 5 stars are fake accounts. Many of them left no comments at all.

Gave me wrong truck. Threatened me to charge double. Threatened to make me unload and load truck again. Tried to change reservation time. I would not patronize them a second time. U haul of Litchfield, MN & Dwight absolutely amazing! Straightened out the whole mess and delivered unparalleled customer service! He was amazing. I would give him all my business.

Customer Service agent actively smiled while another irate customer verbally assaulted a women. Scary place. Not safe.

I then said that I would accept a Tow Dolly.The agent then asked…is it coming back to me? When I said…No…I’m towing the vehicle back to North Carolina where I live.All of a sudden he says…Hmmm for some reason it won’t let me rent it to you. I asked why not. He says something like…the vehicle being towed is too heavy. I asked him what is the weight rating for the dolly?He says, it’s like 3500lb. Again, I asked, so can I get one and he says…It just won’t let me select it.The van weighed 3800lbs and only 1900lbs (1/2 of the Vehicle) would be on the Dolly.I honestly believe that he didn’t want to let it out of Sioux City Iowa and going to North Carolina.As a result I had to BUY a Tow Dolly because my return Trip was within 5-days. All other Rental Companies required me to rent a Truck in order to get a Trailer or Dolly.I was out of Options.You need to straighten out your Agent in Sioux City at 5700 Gordon Drive. He isn’t allowed to be that selective in renting equipment.If he has the Item available and if it meets the rental prerequisites then it needs to be rented. I never realized that UHaul outlets were so territorial.I am DONE with UHaul……NEVER AGAIN!

Returning truck took awhile, it was after hours and it kept denying my location! Only problem. Would rent again.

I will NEVER USE UHAUL AGAIN! Uhaul knew we were moving across the country and gave use a truck that had been serviced 3 times the month before we rented it. The brakes and the tail lights went out on our drive! Tail lights stopped working in the first few hours. Breaks went out half way through out 1,000+ mile drive and we had to unload the old truck and reload the new truck while our kids and pets were in our car! Horrible experience! Uhaul customer service had us agree to a $600 refund. We never received it! Ive called multiple times to the local store that we rented from and customer service and nothing was ever done for our inconvenience and issues!

This is the worst place I have ever had to deal with. No one is ever there to help, they dont answer the phone or call back customers. The manager is the only person certified to operate the forklift and he is never at work it seems. U-haul is bad in general but this one is terrible.

Customer service is extremely poor! They are misleading when they inform you of wait times on their automated answering service. They Sent a letter certified threatening to auction off all my things, but come to find out they dont do auctions at the facility near me. So much more I wanna say.

Not happy with the service I received. Went to pickup the truck I ordered and it was dirty and not filled up with gas. Manager told me I would get credit for filling up gas tank which I did not received. Before I got in the truck I walked around and there was damage to the lower panel on the truck. Took pictures and got into truck to get it home right away. Barely made it to gas station. Filled truck up and got home. Opened the back of the truck and it was filthy. There was 3 large door mats on the floor. So cleaned it up and got busy moving. Got to my destination with no problems and the gas mileage was good. After I cleaned out the back of the truck a second time I returned it to the local uhaul rep. I explained to her what the manager in sioux city had pulled. Not walking out to the truck,not having it ready to go and lying about the gas credit I would receive. I would like the district manager to contact me to make this right...update 11/5/20. The gas credit was made right. Still not happy getting a dirty filthy truck.

Had a reservation for a month and called to confirm it and was told that the trailer wasn’t even available and I had to go to my destination that is 4 hours away to even get a trailer. Been on the phone for 30 minutes and up to get some sort of customer service and haven’t received one piece of information willing to help me or adhere to my needs as a customer

I had paid my storage unit a month in advance while I was unsure when I was going to have my couch sold, that was within the unit. I had been able to sell my couch on 09/10/20 and notified Eric (the gentleman who looked like Santa). He inspected my unit and told me I was good to go and proceeded to check me out. As we finalized paper work for checking out I asked the gentleman how I would be receiving my refund of $85.50. Eric at 06:23 that day said that I would be receiving it through my debit card.(As understood Eric stated to me that I would get it same day or 3 business days)Time went by and I had yet to receive my refund for my storage unit. So being the person I am I followed up with the store, the phone rang, rang and rang for a long period of time. So I decide to get ahold of a corporate associate and figure this out. I explained what happened and she then called the store directly. No answer, she then left a message and then went back to the call with me. She explained to me that no one answered the phone either. So she sent a email and left a voicemail about what was going on. She insisted that I go in and speak to the manager so I did on 09/21/20.The manager spoke to me and said he “couldn’t find the email” then he found it all of a sudden. He looked it over and and couldn’t refund me because he wasn’t experienced with it. So he reached over to the phone and dialed corporate (his boss) and placed him on speaker so I could hear what he was saying.Later to find out that Eric the one who checked me out “accidentally” pushed the cash button and now where disputing wither they gave me a refund or one of his employees is a pick pocketer.I’ve done a lot of business with this company and this Is how they treat me. I have always used credit cards while renting things from this store. I left my information twice and yet to hear back at all.If your looking to rent any Uhaul equipment I would recommend other places rather then this. There customer service Is really Bad when it come to fixing problems. Anyone can run a computer, put a jack on a car, hook up a trailer, clean a car and get customers checked out for rentals. I know I won’t be hearing back from them anytime soon and I would suggest any customer that wants piece of mind to go some where else besides here.

I would leave less if I could. I called direct and reserved a trailer 3 weeks prior to my move. I called a week later to confirm and they had the wrong trailer and dates. We corrected it amd confirmed the specifics at least 2 times while on the phone. I showed up the day of the move and they did not have the trailer. They had the reservation but no trailer. A call would have been nice since I drove 1/2 hour to pick it up and had to 2 home closing looming the weekend after.

Was very rude when I showed up 15 minutes before closing. Made the excuse that the system wouldnt allow them to rent me a storage unit because of how soon they close. Said I would have to come back tomorrow. Ill take my business somewhere it will be appreciated and not just taken for granted.Do not store here as they are overpriced, lazy and rude.

Staff is horribly rude and disrespectful. Not helpful. Impatient. Didnt explain anything. They are crooks and try to over charge me. I went to another uhaul location down the street and was treated with dignity and payed way less. Thes people are crooks ans try to charge more if they can get away with them. I have never been more disappointed with customer service. The other place I went to was friendly and assisted me in all my needs and was super kind and patient.. Unlike these guys.

Overall U-Haul has been a major disappointmentHad a reservation 6 weeks in advance for a 26 ft. truck. The day before I was scheduled to move and close on a house out of town they said the closest truck was over a Hundred miles away and that was the best they could do. I asked the scheduling person what good was it to reserve a truck … She said to reserve a U-Haul doesn’t mean that you’ll get one. So I had no choice to drive 230 miles roundtrip and get one. Then the next day the truck they recommended was too small so I had to get another truck and that too was supposed to be an hour away and while on our way to get it U-Haul scheduling called and said It wasn’t going to be there and the closest 15 ft truck was at a laundromat back home so I had to turn around and go back and get it. We were charged more for the 15ft truck than we were for the 26 ft. truck… nothing like gouging the customer.Then we got a truck to get a couch and we got cheated a half hour out of the 2 hour time and U-Haul said we didn’t fill the gas up to the level that we had at check in time. We were also charged for a dolly cart and blankets that we never even got.There needs to be competition for U-Haul… so inept and crooked… I will look elsewhere.Had enough of U-Haul will look to others for my next move.

Rented a storage unit from U-Haul, was advised I have anytime access. Went to load some stuff into the unit at 8:50PM I accessed the doors and was able to get 2 carts to load the stuff at 8:58 PM I pushed the carts to the doors and was denied access. I called both numbers listed and and found out I did not have anytime access like I was told when I rented the unit. Called down the next morning to straighten out the issue. Spoke to the manager Susan who seemed like she didnt want to be there working, and had better things to do than to fix the issue at hand. Go to a local company down the road for much better service.

They had my reservation wrong date was to be 7th they had 27th. Did not get the truck properly need to move to college girls

The inside was still under construction but hey, they just moved into the building so thats expected. The gentleman that helped me out was very knowledgeable and helpful with both the paperwork and trailer hookup.Trailer had brand new tires on it. Took it about 700 miles all for $150. Cant beat that moving cost. Would recommend for those interested in doing the moving themselves.

I rented a U box from this location and couldnt have had a better experience. The general manager, Will took care of me and was very helpful in explaining what was to be expected of my U box rental. If you need any service from U Haul this is a great location to go to.

If you dont know what size to get, just get the bigger one. Better to have too much space than not enough. And the big ones rent out fast.

Good service

I paid over $2,000 for a one-way 26-ft moving truck and regret The decision. Terrible experience from the very beginning. They sent me all over town to various locations to pick up the truck. I received conflicting text messages and emails with where I was supposed to go to pick up the truck. The truck was supposedly brand new but the alignment is severely off. Im getting 6 mi to the gallon,The only way to connect to the radio is through an auxiliary cord which no one has. I would never recommend anyone rent one of these trucks.

Was told like in March they would start selling propane to refill your tanks in June it even says propane on their sign . Called again in June to be told that they are not going to be selling it. Well gee why cant you just get rid of the sign or cover it up with something. Now I have to find a propane company that will refill my tanks. Disappointed in this place

These folks went above and beyond for me tonight, when I was in a jam. I appreciate them taking extra time, with professionalism, and having the skills to get a trailer hooked up correctly.
