I ordered a water cooler online and the expected pick up date was 5 days later. The status of my order never changed, so I just arrived at the store for my pick up as scheduled. I walk in and find my water cooler sitting with all of the other online orders in the front of the store. I notified the cashier that I was there to pick it up and also asked why an appliance with a compressor would be sitting there upside down. He loaded the cooler(still upside down) and told me he had to take it to the back and check it in. About 20 minutes later he came out and told me it was my cooler, but it was the incorrect model. I cancelled order and left. When I got home, I zoomed on my picture and discovered it was the correct model. I’m unsure if staff is incompetent or just doesn’t care. The entire store seems to be filled with employees who would rather stand around and talk rather than help anyone. Total joke. Deserves zero stars.

I found myself needing to replace my phone. Lady at the geek squad desk was very friendly. However it was definitely job knowledge that allowed me to leave feeling at peace with how everything was going to end.Cant forget about the guy from geek squad that set up that appointment for me.Great staff!!!I would recommend this place!!!

I have store credit that Ive been trying to use but I cant use it for online purchases. Thats really convenient. I call this store location and ask if I can come in person to use my store credit, they say yes. They tell me they cant make my purchases because of technical difficulties. Dont ever take store credit.

Tl;dr - Waited 45+ minutes to be told buy it onlineWent in to buy a phone. The price was $600 on the website, I asked to buy the phone in the store. The store was giving a pricing error so I was asked to wait. Waited in the store for 40m for them to fix it but nothing. Store said they would call me back. Never did.So went back to the store, asked an employee for an update, and then waited five minutes to be told You have to buy it on the website.Wasted over an hour of my time with this store. Will happily pay $200 more somewhere else for a smooth experience.

I had to go to the store 4 times and finally returned the item I purchased. I had to hunt to find someone to address the reason I went to the store. The employees could not and would not try to figure out what was.the problem. I got do agrivated, I yelled at one person. They were joyous over the fact that I returned the item.

I hate how HP tells us to come to the Geek Squad and then they tell us sorry, we dont do that with a smirk this guy tells me this with no empathy because its an issue thats under warranty. Shopping for a new keyboard and mouse was a mixed experience... selection was good overall, but the items are stored in multiple places around the store so that I couldnt easily compare them. Many of the keyboards had a sample out to try, which was really useful; but about half of the items werent priced, so I had to take a bunch of boxes over to the register for a price check. Staff were friendly.The store itself seems to be under renovation - disorganized, dirty. Hope they can get back into their old groove soon.

I had a horrible experience with them. I place an order online to be picked up from skokie il location but i couldnt pick it up as I had to go out of town. Hence, I tried to change the pickup location in my order. Instead of changing the pick up location, (for an order that is already paid for ) they cancelled my order. I made several calls to the customer service but it was of no use. Never gonna shop with best buy ever.

This review is SPECIFICALLY based on my experience with the Sprint/AT&T kiosk. I (senior citizen) stood then sat for approximately 20 mins at the counter while the representatives assisted other customers (they past back & forth in front of me). As soon as it would have been my turn a young couple walk up to the counter from another area of the store and got immediate service. I did finally receive service but not before I decided not to use this kiosk again. RUDE!

Great customer service in the computer department! They took the time to make suggestions on a laptop that would suit my needs as well as being very attentive and answering questions. Unfortunately that laptop was not in stock there so I had to go to another Best Buy in Evanston which was woefully understaffed and had to rush through my purchase.

Scheduled a 10am install for remote starter on car. They sent me out a reminder & told me to drop off vehicle in back for the install. Never did they mention that no one would be present to open up the garage door to let us in. We left that car there & then drove my car back around to the front & couldnt even get in there because the rest of the store wasnt even open until 11. After knocking on door for 10 min. a manager finally came & after explaining we had an install scheduled, she then sent us off to go around back again & that she would have them open up the doors. But she wouldnt let us walk through the store, even after we told her the car was already back there. What a headache and a complete waste of time. They couldve let us know in advance that the scheduled time would be before the store opened and that no one would be there to let us in to fill out the necessary paperwork. Good outcome in the end but such a hassle at the beginning of the process. Gotta weed out the flaws of this process, with covid and all, and make things easier for customers, not harder! Please and thank you!

I took my 2020 Camaro to the Bestbuy located in Skokie and it was a complete nightmare. The install was scheduled for 12 pm to 3 pm and my wife and I were there until 6:47 pm due to the incompetence of their team. The technician broke my trunk latch and did a piss poor job of installing my audio. The Assistant Sales Manager named John Jones who appeared to be a 17 year old high school kid refused to call their tech support team to assist the technician who couldn’t figure out how to disconnect the noise cancelation switch. Instead, he clocked out for the remainder of the shift and left his guy with 3 vehicles to work on. The sales manager was rude and unprofessional and leaned against the counter with a smirk on his face the entire time. Stay away from this location, as a matter of fact stay away from all Bestbuy stores. Save your vehicle and hard earned money. You’ve been warned!

When arrived to pickup Samsung flip phone after paying at Schaumburg location, because it was the only place with stock to pickup, manager tells me to wait. While not knowing what I am waiting for, ... this manager is chatting with coWorker for something completely unrelated to business. Pretending to look at computer monitor but 10 min + has gone by and I am wondering why I am not being attended after sent to Customer Pick Up line. When I approached to ask, ... he tells me with what are you going to do with tone of voice...... saying ... I dont have the phone! But it was checked, paid and arranged to pick up from Skokie same day so we drove 45 min. to get to. With that unprofessional and inconsiderate teenager tone while not being attended when I should have been to....... was enough to escalate and my emotion boiling when this guy tells me that .... we have other phone.... ....!!!! I didnt drive 45 min. to pick up other phone!!! After yelling, reasoning and not caring about $50 discount he will offer me...... he acted like that he found the phone!! This guy was just toying me around. Then he tells me, I will have to cancel and return Schaumburg purchase and repurchase this from Skokie store in order for him to release this stock. Sounds like he is toying with customer to increase Skokie sales without caring customer first. ..... Bestbuy stop playing this type of game!!! His name is Mayank Upandhyay at Skokie store.

Because of the run on computers with school starting and most children having to do school work online with Covid-19 an issue. Most of the low end to mid-range laptops are out of stock temporarily. I was told by staff your best bet is order online after getting your questions answered in-store. When a resupply of computers arrives they are gone in a few hours.

The manager over there was unprofessional and he doesn’t respect customers. The lady at the register was giving an angry stare for some reason. I’m sorry! but it’s my fault that you are at work and when I requested a manager he came with an attitude He was texting while trying to solve an issue I’m having at the store. Manager name: Mayank Upadhyay. I believe he is Specialty Manager. This is my first issue at Best Buy ever and especially at that store. I’ve been going to that store for almost 10 years I bought every single piece of technology that I have at home from there. However, I was disappointed today after how the cashier lady at the customer service and the manager treated me.

Do not shop at ANY best buy. Let me tell you why. If you order anything and have it shipped to your house, and the carrier loses it, they will NOT CLAIM RESPONSIBILITY. I ordered a mac book air for $850 and they lost it, made a claim with best buy and fedex, best buy then tells me its fedex fault, fedex tells me its best buy fault, its a circle. DO NOT BUY FROM ANY BEST BUY. Thank you best buy. You lost a great customer who has spent thousands of dollars at your store. Hope you go bankrupt.

I was having seriouse internet issues that turned out to be a bad modem. Very frustrating day trying to trouble shoot. After endless calls with xfinity, decided to go buy a new router. Mind you, my wife is a teacher and was missing zoom calls and my sister who is also a teacher and living with us temporarily was also missing calls the pressure was on. So Without even checking the time, I drove to this location. I must of looked frantic as I was power walking up to the door because a man who was also walking in a few steps ahead of me (who happened to be the store manager) quickly let me in even though the store was still closed for another 30 minutes. Of course after I explained my predicament. He instructed a very nice woman to lead me to the modems and she patiently waited for me as I looked for the one I wanted. I was in and out in a few minutes. Thank you for the great service and accomodation! You helped me save the day!

I ordered a tv & decided to do curbside & was told it would be available within an hour. Would receive a text when it would be ready. I got worried that the store was going to close. I drove to the store. I was told it would be another hour. I waited in my car for another hour & nothing. I drove far. I was irate at this point. I saw young gentlemen helping out another customer. His name is Steve & explained my situation. He jumped in & got my order ready & pulled my tv within 5 min. Put it in my car. My 5 stars go only to him for his excellent customer service & promptness. Never again will I do this on black Friday. My 1st & last time.

The only reason I’m giving them 2 stars is because the store associates are great but WORST GEEK SQUAD SERVICE OUT THERE!!! They convinced me to buy the membership so I did and I left my device there for a week so they can fix it. Took it home and turned it on and they didn’t even fix it. Tried to call to schedule another appt and had zero luck because their dept refuses to answer their phones. Called this location 10+ times and used their direct extension and was on hold for 30 min each time. I gave up after that and went back to the store but they sent me home for not calling to schedule an appt. WORST GEEK SQUAD SERVICE.

I was looking for an HDMI cord. Best Buy had it at a fair price. The only unfortunate thing that happened is the young lady who was helping me had a mask that fell down to her chin during our conversation. She was missing her three front teeth so I excused myself and ran out the back door as fast as I could. Fortunately I had the HDMI cord in my hand so I didnt have to pay for it. Was a good experience.
