Was told to come through drive thru because they were short staffed but after we got our food and parked in a space another car was there and there food was brought to them. The food was ok. Have had better.

This location is fantastic. The food is great and the staff is friendly. Service is fast. Im not a huge fan of fast food but Sonic is a favorite of mine and my kids.

We ordered 2 Quarter pounders and 1 Mocha blast and 1 Oreo blast. Food and dessert were delicious.My order was ready when I got there. The lady that brought the order out was very friendly.

Have a running joke with my spouse of how many times our order is wrong, there are four for four, this time my daughter order on line and have her husband pick up. They would not allow him to get food even though it was already paid for. Finally got food and order was missing one whole order and only one of the remaining burgers were made correctly. Love Sonic but we are about done with this one.

Food was good, but the service was outstanding. Both the girl who took our order, and the window attendant who gave us our food, were so friendly and polite. That is hard to find these days. I will come back just because of that.

Worst experience ever. This place has gone down so much. I ordered the #7 with chili cheese tots. The tots had no chili, hardly any cheese and the tots taste so old and crusty. The dog had just a pinch of chili and cheese. A bug waste if money eating here.

If you have 45-60 mins to wait in line just to order the food, this is the place for you! The service is beyond slow. Please give yourself another 30 mins to receive your food. The only good thing about this place is the drinks. Do yourself a favor and choose another place.

The people were very friendly and helpful however, I ordered a Cherry Limeade Slush but there was NO SLUSH TO IT!! I have no reason to feel this way, but I wonder about the cleanliness. Maybe I heard a rumor that makes me question it.

This Sonic location was not swift with service or delivery of food. It took the staff a long time to come on the car intercom to take our order and such a long time to deliver my wifes milkshake, I wound up going inside to get it. On the plus side, the slow service did get us an apology and a free shake. The friendly manager is good for +1 star on this review. I hope she can get some more help at this location. I appreciated the gesture of the free shake enough that we will probably give this location another try the next time were in Smithfield!

We live in an area where there isnt a sonic anywhere close by so we were excited to stop here for a quick bite and it was great! The workers were so friendly and the food was great!

Whenever I come to NC, I always get the Strawberry slushie, and it is so good.

We ordered ice cream after waiting in a little drive in lane for about 20 min. Once they finally took our order, it took another 25, maybe more, to actually get the ice cream. The ice cream was good, not nearly as good as somewhere like Culvers, but def not worth the wait.

Polite and professional staff. Food was good only this time they failed to include my chicken dipping sauce.

The food was delicious, but the attention to detail could have been better. I paid $.30 for extra cherries in my limeade and only got one cherry total, which was frustrating.

This was my worst experience ever! The person taking my order sounded like she was bothered with any question I asked and like she was half sleep. Then my burger order came out wrong 3 times. The person bringing out my order got an attitude with me because she had to keep going back and forth, but no offense that wasn’t my fault; I didn’t mess up the order. No one apologized. I eventually got an refund and called the manager on duty to complain. The manager on duty really listened to me and was apologetic. She even came to my car to apologize again and offered me a coupon card.

Food is usually good, a bit high priced for what you get. Nice pretzels, not many other places serving that one. Half prices drinks on the app, cant be beat. Service, right now, is super slow, sadly. Like so many, short on help.

Food is good, just make sure everything is there before you leave.

Honestly it was a pretty good experience so lady at the drive-through got my order wrong and gave us an immediate free replacement nothing was wrong with the order of the food was good the fries were hot everything was hot about the food the drink was good and the lady at the pickup area was pretty nice so

I ordered a #1 no cheese, of course it had cheese on it. Also, the onion rings were so over cooked. Very disappointed in this particular Sonic.

It took over 10 minutes to get my food and when I get it the bun is stale my onion rings where over cooked did not get my receipt the only good thing was the mozzarella sticks and my drink

A lot of the food is ok, but the buns are really rubbery I usually throw the bread out wherever I go anyway so this is not a problem. My thing is they take forever to get your order out, but the food is cooked fresh I imagine that is why it takes long. You kind of have to make sure that you have time to wait for it and your not on your lunch break.

I tried to order online for delivery and then pick up but their site froze. We werent allowed to call in ahead. The drive-thru had 3 cars but wait was long. So we ordered from a car hop. The coney hot dog was decent. My husband ordered lots of toppings on his & they accommodated him. However, we didnt get the side of jalapenos or mayo we paid for. Car hop was very friendly.

Food was very delightful. My first time eating here or any sonic I was very pleased. Grilled chicken sandwhich & jumbo popcorn chicken Buffalo.

I pulled up to the drive-thru speaker and young lady said Ill be with you in a little bit I said Thank you and I sat there for 20 minutes I finally pulled up to the window a young lady told me that they were not taking any more orders the manager then came to the window she was very nice she informed me that they were so short-staffed that they werent taking any more orders I know she had two fifteen-year-olds that she had to get out of there by 7 they were very rude at the speaker

Decided to go into restaurant to eat in the dining room.. 1st thing I noticed was manager eating while being condescending to the crew; they arent answering the head set and someone needs to take care of customers at front counter etc. Were things she continued to say.There are 8 tables in the dining room that are available for customers..all 8 were dirty!Meanwhile she was enjoying her break. I have been in food service for a long time and there are just some things that come before your break! A clean restaurant is important.

I want to love this place because I can get food here that I cant get elsewhere without a sitdown meal or odering ahead. But....Ive ordered honey barbecue jumbo popcorn chicken 5 times and asked for ranch dipping sauce, and actually got it ONCE. And THAT was because I reminded the guy at the window before I left.Got home and had no marinara for my cheese sticks! So just check your bag before you drive away.

Still not that impressed. Weve eaten here several times and each time theres been something wrong with our order. Today when I rolled up to the drive through I asked for just a minute and no one ever came back. We had to go to the drive in stall to order. When we got home both orders were wrong. Took a few bites and ended up throwing the rest away. Think were done with Sonic now. Cook Out is just down the road. Better service and a better value and the order is always right.

My family enjoyed the burgers, hot dog and the tater tots. However my chicken strips were over cooked. It tasted as though I was eating leather. Next time, I will have to taste the strips before I leave.

Sonic will always be my favorite ‘fast food’ restaurant. I shouldn’t really call it fast food though because their burritos are always pretty darn good! Every time I go there it always takes about 10 minutes at the drive through but I know that is because my food is not sitting under a heat lamp pre cooked or being defrosted. It is because Sonic cooks their food fresh and it really makes a difference.

Went with my family to get a belated Halloween treat and they enjoyed it. My brother got the trick or treat blast and he said it was delicious. My mom got a hot fudge milkshake and drank the entire thing. Me on the other hand got a banana milkshake which had a “mystery chunk” as I called it inside. No joke there was something inside and I had no idea what it was. Very slow but the only reason it has three stars was because the rest of the family enjoyed it.

These people were really having a bad day when I was there, but their attitudes were great! The speaker system went out and employees were running out to each car taking orders. The wait was extra long that day, but no one minded since the employees/managers stayed so professional and nice

Hi, my name is jasmine, and i work there, hopefully ms callie gets this because she is very sweet and i like working when shes there, but i cannot work there if one of the employers or some, are starting up drama, for example i asked for ms callie to talk to her or whatever and one of the employees decided to catch an attitude with me and my aunt when she wanted to let them know her car wasnt acting right, and this is like the 2nd time the employer did it, i can’t remember her name but I remember her voice. And i cant be somewhere, where they all just play around and holding up the line and having customers driving upset because of that, and its just unprofessional.Other than that, i really love working with ms callie.

Hey the service was great didnt have to wait long, but the tater tots tasted like the oil that theyre cooked in needs changing, and the footlong didnt taste anything like the ones me and my sister used to get at sonic back when they were in Erin NC.

It takes forever in drive through.

We just came to try out Sonic for the first time. We were in the stall and pushed the button to order, a girl came over the speaker and said to give her a minute. We waited for 15 minutes or so and then clicked the button again when nobody came back to take our order and there was only 3 cars in the entire place, we heard the girl tell each person to give her time, but never came back for anyone. We clicked the button 2 more times when we saw the workers look out from the window, one guy made eye contact with my boyfriend and then went back to horseplaying with the other people. My boyfriend and I watched them shove each other and mess around but in 30 minutes they never came back to take our order. Never coming back to this location, very disappointing that these staff members will make eye contact with the customer waiting for a long time and then go back to playing around with each other. Only 3 cars in the entire place, none of us can place an order.

After the time before when they gave me the wrong sandwich this time order was all correct and service was fast and foid was great.

Went specifically for a menu item. Advertisements for that menu item everywhere, and were told they dont carry it. So we order something else with a bottle of water. We got our food and no bottle of water and when we asked the girl who worked there said we dont carry bottled water. We asked why they put that on the screen then and she sighed and said shed go look. She brought back a sonic brand bottle of water, meaning the do carry it, she just didnt want to go back for it. Then we get into the food and find the fries are rock hard and old as heck. And the mozzarella sticks are undercooked. Not going again.

Not really a fan of the food. But stopping in for a milkshake, slushie or dessert item is nice on occasion.For those that like breakfast anytime of day, youre in luck. You can get breakfast items all day!

The food.was great. It did take awhile to get it.

Night manager is lazy and a dictator. Store as a whole is gross and dirty from grease. Sink is always full of dirty dishes, when customers come in to order they wait forever for someone to come take their order. Management is very slack and it causes the store to become gross and grimey. The store traps people with low wages and having to eat off your check. So when you get paid you really just worked to eat.

Ive always loved sonic and when I first moved to Clayton, NC there was one here, then they tore it down, I was really disappointed. One day I saw that Smithfield had a sonic, I dont make trips down to Smithfield on a regular basis but when I am there I make it a point to go to sonic.

Waited in drive thru going on 20 mins now. Wasnt busy either. I ordered my son a hot fudge milkshake and at the window they handed me a hot fudge sundae. I told them I ordered a milkshake and the only reason I have a 2 is because they took back the sundae and made the shake without attitude.

First time I have been here by myself. Im a 71year old man a little hard of hearing. Pushed the button and and heard a womans very pleasant voice. I could easily hear her. She was very kind and respectful..The food was delicious. First milkshake I have had in a long time that I could drink through a straw. SAM is a extremely good employee.

Last time going to Sonics!!!Burgers were wrong.Not what I ordered.Short a order of tater tots.Onion brings all the breading had fell off.Burgers were sloppy buns slid off the meat.Mustard running out the bottom dripping.This was a take out order.Can compare with McDonalds service.

If you are in a rush or on break from work dont bother with sonics. I pulled up to stall at 4:35 and next thing its 5:04 food was never brought.

VERY disappointed! I asked for NO onions, saw on my receipt and on the screen where the order was correct. When my burger arrived and I took it from the bag it was clear there were onions. I decided to muddle through hoping it was only one or two pieces. My 1st bite was very nearly nothing BUT onions! There seemed to be a full handful not just a few pieces. Now trying to knock out an onion induced migraine. NOT happy with this location! Ive never had issues with other locations. Ill not recommend this location for something so simple to avoid.

Food accuracy is on par with a flintlock pistol. Something simple. Sure they got it... If it gets slightly out of the norm... Its untelling what youll get. We have had great times and absolutely confusing and frustrating times. Truly a dice roll.
