Doing business with this family run business was a complete pleasure. The end result of an absolutely beautiful kitchen was due to their attention to detail. My installer who has been installing kitchens for 40+ years said he never installed a kitchen where every cabinet went in perfectly. There was not one problem throughout the entire installation. Let me start off by saying this review is 2 years overdue, but I had to make it a point to come back and write this review for Matt and the LI Cabinets team.Appreciate the work you did for us Matt and my apologies its taken me this long to write this for you! Was just looking at my beautiful kitchen this morning with my kids sitting at the island playing and thought of you guys.My post includes before and after photos (labeled with the view on each). Words dont do justice the work and attention to detail Matt provided my family and I.Matt was great from Day 1. He came by our house, had the best ideas of any cabinet companies/contractors we met with. He turned a cold, dark, 3-room (yes 3 rooms with doors to enter each area) kitchen/EIK into a beautiful open space. For our new home, this was the biggest job we were taking on and Matt made us feel at ease from start to finish.I need to add in that these were semi-custom cabinets and my wife and I thought the price for installation from his custom cabinet maker was a bit high. Let me tell you that after having our contractor install them (at 1/3 of the price) we now know why it costs so much more to have the right person install them (Matts custom cabinet maker). Matt actually sent his custom cabinet maker to our home to correct, the incorrect installation by our private contractor. Free of charge! Just to show us the difference of having his custom cabinet maker do the job and also to ensure that our beautiful cabinets were leveled and installed properly.I mean you cannot ask for greater service than this. This is the reason why we refer all our friends and family to him.Matt is not only talented, but he takes pride in the work he does and does it right. Not everyone is this way, so if you choose to send your business elsewhere you are making a huge mistake. Matt at LI Cabinets has you covered for anything you need and we receive compliments daily on how amazing our home looks. None of this would have been possible without Matts amazing vision.

Steve Cohen and his family were a pleasure. They were patient, attentive, professional, and extremely knowledgeable. They guided me through the entire remodeling process and were always available to answer questions and accommodate the many revisions I requested. They always returned my calls in a timely manner and took care of all my concerns. They were an absolute pleasure to deal with especially during these difficult covid times by making themselves available to zoom with me as needed. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for honest professionals to work with.

We initially were excited to go with this company and loved how friendly they were. We saw all the great reviews and had a good feeling. After ordering our cabinets we found communication to be troublesome. It became more difficult to get in touch with Steve. We also found that we were not given all the information when we sat down to order the cabinets. For example to get a “finished look” they don’t just order one panel. They order an entire cabinet. So we paid for a fourth cabinet just to get one face panel. This was not told to us prior. We ordered all soft close cabinets. But the garbage can drawer did not come soft close. When we called to have it fixed, we were told “the company we order from doesn’t make soft close so we will have to order from another company.” The replacement part came fast but it was the wrong color and we had to change it out ourselves. They’re response to the color was “does it really matter?”. Since it was a different company, the holes didn’t match up so we had to make new ones. One cabinet did not come with a base that we had to build. We were not informed of this prior otherwise we would have ordered the base as well since it was “extra”. One cabinet came damaged but hey it happens I guess. We had a specific timeline and ordered accordingly, knowing there may be delays. Due to the damaged/incorrect cabinets, this pushed our instillation and we lost our instillation team due to timing. They were supposed to be in by end of November/early December. It’s now January and we still don’t have our cabinets completely installed. When we emailed them about our problems, we got no response. We then called a week later and were told “well you should have called us not emailed us.” They seemed to try to make an excuse for everything instead of apologizing up front. Which is really all we were looking for. So far, the cabinets are nice, but we’ll see how they hold up long term. We won’t be going back to them for the countertops or any future cabinets. But that’s just our personal experience.

We were rudely shut down when I called simply about making an appointment. Why is it so hard for people to either be nice or want business? Ok, you’re too busy for my “small” project but you didn’t even care to help or see me. Instead you told me to go back to the place I bought my last cabinets! Totally unprofessional.

Matt and his team were absolutely amazing. They not only gave us an amazing set of cabinets, they were so supportive in helping us create our dream kitchen. We bought our cabinets almost 4 years ago and three babies got in the way of getting it done. When we finally got to doing it, one of the cabinets had a crack. He went out of his way to rectify this to help keep our dream kitchen alive. You won’t find a nicer group of guys!

I have been working very closely with LI Cabinets since May of 2020.I have worked with Steve, Matt, Marilyn and Allen. I ordered semi-custom cabinets at the end of June/beginning of July of 2020. The cabinets arrived in October of 2020. You can imagine the anticipation after waiting so long! The manufacturer that LI Cabinets has used for probably 15 plus years...delivered less than acceptable cabinets. They were damaged or misassembled due to the Covid pandemic! LI Cabinets was at my house the next day trying to rectify the situation. They agreed the product was not acceptable and had a representative from the company at my house the day after! I will say, after waiting for months to have a product delivered and see what we received, was devastating. Since LI Cabinets is a family run business, they were completely disheartened by what occurred. They fought with the manufacturer on my behalf, brought me back into their showroom and ordered me CUSTOM cabinets from another manufacturer that were double the cost! They absorbed the cost, made a situation right and I now have a GORGEOUS kitchen! (I will post pictures once the backsplash is complete).I would HIGHLY recommend this family run business as they are personable and STAND BY THEIR PRODUCT. They did the RIGHT thing to rectify a very stressful situation! I would personally like to THANK LI Cabinets for standing by your customers and advocating for us!

Poor quality cabinetry misrepresented at time of sale. Sink installation crooked. Poor customer service. Bad attitude. Very expensive for low quality products and installation. In terms of quality, value and service, check competitors in area. You will save money, receive better merchandise and installation. THE WORK AND PRODUCT WAS SO BAD I TOOK THE LOSS AND CONTRACTED A NEARBY COMPETITOR. YES, THIS COMPANY IS THAT BAD. Note: LI Cabinets are non-ADA compliant. Litigation pending.

We are amazed at how our kitchen Design came out. The team at LICABINETS designed a fabulous kitchen. We picked the semi-custom line Kith Kitchens. The door style and color are perfect. We picked a Quartz top that complimented the cabinets. They have the best cabinets around.

Bought our cabinets here a few years ago and theyre holding up great!I had went to Home Depot on my own with a budget in mind and they gave me an estimate of twice my budget. When I went back with my boyfriend, magically they were able to come at the original budget.LI Cabinets came in under budget the first time with quality cabinets and gave us great ideas for what to do with our space. I recommend everyone I know who redoes a kitchen to go to them.

Great family run business! Very knowledgeable about everything cabinets, counters, tiles, etc. The designers and sales people are genuine, hard working and take pride in their work. They took so much time to work with me when designing my kitchen - dealing with them was an absolute pleasure - I highly recommend them!

We looked at kitchen cabinets and found a color and style we liked. Steve said that we had to give a non-refundable deposit of $2,000 to have them measure and get an estimate. We told him that was not happening, so he agreed to measure without charge. He developed an drawing, and we asked for a change. He said no problem. Give me a $2,000 non-refundable deposit and i will show you the change and give you a new quote. For the record, the cabinet prices were OK, but installation was much higher than other businesses.They were the only place that had the exact color that we want, but they lost the sale solely because of the constant demand for a non-refundable deposit of $2,000 before proceeding.Edit: Steve originally told us that there would be a $2,000 non refundable deposit before measuring. He absolutely said $2,000, not $150. I am sure that I would have known the difference. When I told him that we would not be using his services due to that policy, he agreed to waive the deposit on a one time basis. Thereafter, almost any time we asked to see a change, the most recent a very minor one, he again asked for s $2,000 deposit to show us the change. We have dealt with other companies, and none asked for a deposit or fee prior to measuring, except Lowes and Home Depot which wanted $35.00 to measure. The company we went with measured twice and made several revisions without asking for anything. Steve lost our business by repeatedly asking for a deposit.

We bought cabinets at LI Cabinets and are very satisfied. we looked at a few places and LI Cabinets offered design help resulting in our buying our cabinets along with the floor, countertops, backsplash tiles, and cabinet knobs. What we ended up with was a very coordinated look. This was thanks to Steves interior design help.

I wanted to completely redesign my kitchen, moving walls to increase the size, and rearrange the cabinets, appliances, table area, etc... Matt took my concept and made my dream kitchen into a plan. Better than that, I now can walk into my dream kitchen rather than dream about a kitchen that functions better for my large family. My kitchen is now the warm gathering place Ive always wanted. I can not express enough appreciation for Matt, and the entire family, at Long Island Cabinets. Thank you!!

Although I needed a kitchen renewal for a few years, I didnt really start working on it until last April. With the support, guidance, and patience of Steve, Alan, Matt, and Keith, we came up with a plan over 7 months. In December, 2018, my cabinets were installed. Although everything wasnt perfect at the start (as it rarely is in, all issues were addressed and resolved in a reasonable and supportive manner. I am confident that in the future, they will be there for me if I need anything else.

My wife and I just recently took on a huge project renovating the first floor of our center hall colonial. We removed walls and installed a large header in order to achieve a new modern open floor plan. With the idea of having the kitchen as the center piece of the new great room, we found ourselves at LI Cabinets. I must say that my experience with LI Cabinets was great one . Our designer Steve had extensive knowledge of the many products and material choices. Together with their computer designer we were able to visualize the choices we made and create an incredible high end look at an affordable price. Truly, something I thought was not possible but they made it happen. I would recommend them to any one of my friends or family members.

After the utter devastation of Sandy, my wife and I went on the hunt for a high quality yet reasonably priced replacement kitchen. We were lucky enough to find Steve and his design team at L.I. Cabinets. They sat us down, and listened patiently to our wants/needs. Despite not having the largest space (approx 10 x 10) or biggest budget we were able to design a beautiful yet practical kitchen that gave us double the counter space and far more features than our previous one. We went with the Timberland line of cabinets, and have found them to be a nice upgrade over cabinets offer by the big box stores for roughly the same price.We recommend you speak to Steve and his team, and then enjoy your beautiful new kitchen.

My contractor recommended LI Cabinets for the design of my new kitchen. Matt came out to measure and took the time to talk to me about how I use and function in my kitchen. Matt’s creativity and out of the box thinking not only solved my issue with a wall oven but found the space for a second full oven. Little problems always arise in major renovations and with LI Cabinets I wasn’t solely Matt’s client but a client of everyone who works there and they all stepped in to help resolve any issues. Can’t wait to work with them again designing my new bathrooms.

I had been experiencing problems with another local company trying to get my kitchen re-done and coming to this showroom definitely helped me re-evaluate my opinion of the kitchen industry in general. They are a family business and their approach was not that of a sales warehouse, but of real designers. Matt did a great job designing our kitchen. In less than 20 minutes he came to our home, took measurements and out the door he went. He want there for 2 hours like other designers were. A fews days later he gave us a layout we loved! I literally cried and we knew this was what weve been looking for. His suggestions were very helpful; from cabinet color, to the brand, and appliances. We never felt pressured on any choices we needed to make. L.I Cabinets were always professional and courteous. The cabinets are a good brand and a great value.I would highly recommend L.I Cabinets to all, as we already have and will continue to do so.

L.I. CABINETS IS A GREAT COMPANY!!! My husband and I shopped three different places for cabinets, and found the places to be priced all around the same. So we decided to go with Your Home. When we got to the store with deposit in hand I had a few more simple questions for the sales girl. When she seemed to be aggravated with my questions, we decided to leave. I googled the cabinets we wanted and L.I. Cabinets came up. They had the EXCACT SAME CABINETS for HALF THE PRICE!!! When L.I. Cabinets said they would be by to measure they were and when they said they would be delivered they were. Its nice to have a company that does what they say. I would definitely recommend L.I. Cabinets.

LI Cabinet is a place to go ! They had awesome selection in cabinets, quartz, granite and etc . They are so friend and they work with you and help you design your kitchen they awesome people which I recommend to everyone else!

Although I ended up not selecting the vendor I thought it might be helpful to prospective buyers to understand their sales model a bit. I am very busy with work and a young family and I dont have much spare time to keep coming to the showroom as they asked. Especially since my wife and I would be unable to both attend the showroom at the same time (were not taking a baby to pick cabinets - and arent going to arrange coverage simply for this reason).I met with one of the owners a few times to go over our plans. He was very nice and easy to work with. The only issue and the reason they lost the sale is they refused to share any of their design elements over email. My wife wanted to see the design and what it looked like, not just my pictures of the door I took in the showroom. Additionally, they would not provide me with a written quote detailing everything. Yes, they showed me the price and would write down the total numbers, but not a breakdown of what everything costs. To me thats simply unacceptable. I dont need to tell anyone reading this review that kitchen cabinets can be expensive so for a company to throw away a 7-9k sale simply because they wouldnt work with me over email just seems stupid.There isnt a conspiracy to steal your designs. Everyone basically has the exact same designs. What I was shown was not some unique intellectual property that they needed to defend. I went to three other companies and almost all the designs were the same and I ended up choosing the one we liked best of those companies, which by the way had no issue sharing designs and working over email. I akin it back to how wedding photographers used to want to protect their photos at all costs. Now, youll see the vast majority allowing clients to have the images to do what they please. Its called good customer service and transitioning with the current times.Again, I want to reiterate that they were all very nice to work with and they probably do nice work as others here have commented but their business model isnt for me. If youre similar to me and dont have time to keep coming in person to do everything you might want to look elsewhere.

I dont normally write poor reviews but maybe this establishment can improve their customer service and be successful after this. After meeting with Steve, we made some changes to our design. He graciously came back to our house and re-measured. Timing was very important to us and we were assured that we would get the cabinets in 2 weeks. Steve sent over the plans to my contractor AFTER 2 weeks and my contractor saw that the cabineyts were going to end too short! We quickly called and was told it was our fault because we changed things (even though he came back to re-measure) and that now my order would be delayed as a result. This pushed back our timeline by 10 days which is enormous when you are dealing with contractors. We re-did our entire home. Painters, electricians, plumber, roofer, landscaper, stone-work, contractors, pc richard, and ONLY had a problem with LI Cabinets. We are very easy people to work with and this interaction was not a good experience.

I discovered LIcabinets on facebook and was very interested in what they offered.They offered me top quality cabinets with all the bells +whistles I ever imagined for an unbelieveably fair price.Licabinets is a well run company. Steve came to my house to to take measurements for the kitchen project and returned several times to double + triple check issues that arose.when i made changes .His brother Matt does a great job with the layouts + designs and he too stopped by at my kitchen to offer the installers some guidance.Most often when you find a deal your happy with the service isnt there but with LIcabinets you get quality and the guidance necessary to help you complete your Dreamkitchen.I would recommend them in a heartbeat.
