I own a Purple 3 and visited this store to try out a Purple 2 and a Purple 4. I had ~40 days left on my free trial and wanted to see how my Purple 3 compared. Purple offers one free exchange during your 100-day trial. Nick showed me the Purple 2 and Purple 4 they had in stock and then *offered* to help me find the right mattress. Nick was friendly and helpful in this process. I did find a mattress I liked slightly more than my Purple 3 and I also found a pillow I liked much more than my current pillow. The pillow was expensive (>$200), but I decided it was worth trying if it would help me sleep better. I bought the pillow in-store and held off on buying a mattress. I wasnt comfortable buying a $4,000+, 10-year warranty mattress (a $1,400 increase from my Purple 3) after an hour in a showroom and, like I said at the start, I didnt visit the store with the intention of buying a mattress. Based on my experience, maybe I should have said this *explicitly*.When I made it clear I wouldnt be buying a mattress *that day*, Nick became much less friendly and helpful. He almost seemed mad, like I owed it to him to buy a mattress. He called me out on my budget, insisted the $200+ pillow Id just bought wouldnt help (despite telling me earlier that having a good pillow was very important), and made the end of my shopping experience uncomfortable. I still might return my Purple 3 and buy something else, but I dont think Ill buy it from this store.

Cameron was extremely helpful during our warranty coverage new mattress purchase. I came in first and he really listened to my current pain points (literally) and educated me on various offerings. I brought my wife back the same day and he was just as attentive to her questions, knowing he’d already answered most for me.I’m very indecisive and Cameron never rushed us whatsoever. The manager Nick also gave us additional insight and knowledge.Couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Bought a mattress at the start of Covid. It was nothing like the floor model we tried. The in-store employee insisted we let the mattress break in - but 5 months later here we are with what probably is the most uncomfortable mattress we’ve ever owned.Left numbers with the store for the manager to contact us for a swap but no one has called.Would love it if the store manager would work something out with us. Otherwise, beware. The exchange promise is thin - you could be out of $1000+ for the opposite of what you paid for.

Nick Herring was the gentleman that helped me. He went above and beyond what I needed and was very professional, genuine and accommodating.I have never mattress shopped before and I’m moving into my own place for the very first. I literally had no clue about the cost of a mattress, what a good mattress includes, and what would be the right mattress for me. I researched some online and was advised to get a mattress in a box. However, I wasn’t a fan of a mattress coming in a box. That’s just me.Nick answered all my questions and he was very informative. And he did not tell me what he thought I wanted to hear. That was very important because as a salesman usually they try to get you to make a purchase and even if it’s not a good purchase for you. The 4 hours at Mattress Firm was well spent as I learned about hybrid beds and what is best for my needs. After a $4,000 purchase and the salesperson pressuring me to finance a certain amount so he gets more money and looks good to his boss, I didn’t have a good feeling about this purchase. I left and each day grew more and more worried that I had over paid. After doing due diligence, I realized I had and so therefor called to cancel the order before delivery. I got a high pressure pitch and the salesperson Nick would not let me speak. When he finally agreed to refund my money and cancel my order he became mad and quickly got off the phone. Before he did, I asked for an email confirmation and I was told you won’t get one and your money will be returned in 7-10 business days. So mattress Firm had $1,000 of my money 8 days prior to the supposed delivery date and now it’s going to take another 7-10. This is bad business practice and makes me have a different opinion about this company. Buyer beware.
