Clearly explained the two separate problems I was having with my car. Did not need diagnostics done on first problem (already had it done), just the second problem. Showed video of the second problem. Not told about any diagnostic fee or how much itd cost to check it out.Later, they call and tell me they did diagnostics on the first problem (which I already knew...) and tell me they dont see the second problem (even though I explained the second issue as youd have to drive it to see it, thus why I showed them the video showing the issue). And turns out they arent even capable of fixing the second issue anyways! So they essentially took ~$100 from me to do nothing. Awesome.Only reason this isnt a 1-star review is because the person dealing with me offered a small discount for the trouble.
Always get great service from these folks! They are fast and take good care of ALL of my vehicles! They are always looking out for the best price for me as well. Wouldnt think of going anywhere else!
Traveling through the area and had a tire leak and they would not patch it because the tread was too low although they said the patch would not be a danger driving. Good police to sell new tires but not for customers in an emergency situation. Then they only have one tire they can sell me so I will have one new tire and three old tires until I get home. Too bad it’s Memorial Day or I would go somewhere else.
DONT take your car here because they do not check their work.Lug Nuts left off car and wanted to charge me to place new ones on when I literally have a lifetime warranty with them. I take my car here for tire care etc and spend the money.Took car in for maintenance inspection and car leaves with a vibration from them changing a tire that had a nail in it but stated the tire had no thread. What is it with you guys? You want to charge for everything but dont want to do the work correctly. The people are rude and disrespectful. Please take care of yourself and what belongs to you.
Friendly and speedy service. Needed to make a pitstop to have my truck tires and travel trailer tires filled up. Despite it being a holiday weekend and also being busy, they made time to help fill up my tires and get me back on the road.
Set an appointment for tire rotation balance and an alignment (purchased lifetime here). Told them I was waiting and ended up sitting for 2 hours while others walked in and got oil changes and left. Not the first time this has happened. If you don’t want to honor the lifetime services seriously don’t sell them. Done with this location!
DO NOT COME HERE FOR SERVICE. This company tried charging over 800$ for a sparkplug and SINGLE ignition coil replacement. They are eager to take your hard earn money for minimal work. Charging double what a dealership would and trying to coerce the customer into paying outrageous amounts for small and easy jobs. This place has UNFAIR and unmoral business practices. DO NOT COME HERE HORRIBLE SERVICE!!!!
Showed me what happen to my tire needed a new one. Plus needed oil changed plus brakes needed worked on. As someone else said had overhaul. Great job.
Awesome place. Good customer service.
I had a shredded rotor, I was thankfully able to get in same day and they were done within 3 hours!! Such speedy service
I love the fact that I can get everything taken care of in one place. Knowledgeable staff, clean environment.
Bad Customer ServiceBe careful of this place. They damaged my car. I took my Dodge truck to this store to have the brake pads changed out. When I picked it up the next day and drove the truck not more than 3 blocks there was a loud grinding sound coming from the back axle. I looked under the truck and saw fluid leaking from the rear differential. I took the truck back to Firestone and asked from them to look at it and have the manager call me. The Manager never called and when I went back into the store they said they did nothing to to the back of the truck. I told him how could that be when they supposedly do a full body inspection to give service recommendations. A rear differential normally will last the life of a car unless you drag race. I believe someone took my truck at night for a joy ride. The manager would not do anything about the damaged truck now that is undriveable. He would not even take money off the service I just had or meet me half way. He quoted me a price to repair the truck at over $3000. When I brought my truck into Firestone it was drove fine and just needed brakes changed for $200, now it is unmovable. I warn anyone going to this Firestone branch or working with this manager....
I had an oil change, 4 new tires, alignment and they also replaced my tag light. They were courteous and quick...IF you choose to wait. If you do a drop off, it seems the service takes quite a bit longer. I believe that may be due to Co-vid19, to reduce the number of waiting customers within the waiting area as quickly as possible. So if you dont mind waiting, I strongly suggest staying with you vehicle if you are pressed for time.
Took vehicle in for appointment for tire rotation. Wasn’t informed when my vehicle was done that it was missing a locking lug nut until I opened my invoice via email. Hopefully it’s just misplaced in the shop.
Went in Sunday for a routine oil change and tire rotation. They added the $10 car care package and when I left they said my car was in great shape and the only thing I needed was a new windshield wiper. Within 72hrs my brakes started acting funny. I took it to a different location and the worker said it looked like someone messed with my brakes. Will absolutely never bring my car back to this location ever again! Do not trust the guys working there. People STAY AWAY!!!
They changed the valve cover gasket of my car the technician forgot to connect the ignition coil harness back also he lost the bracket that connect the AC to the chassis I would never let them work on my car again
They are our auto repair and maintenance place. Treat you like family and listen to your needs.
If I could rate a negative number I would, after speaking with an employee and being told “yes you can come on in” I then took a 45 minute trip! Just to be told I need to come in another day...I’m not sure if it’s bad communication or just terrible customer service but I will not visit this location again!
Very slow service and when they say an hour & half they mean two and a half minimum.
Received fantastic customer service from the Firestone Dream Team. If only other industries would follow the Firestone example. My battery failed me and they did a warranty replacement!
All was wonderful
I dont know why I brought my car here to get new tires. They didnt even ask which tires we wanted when we dropped it off, so our total ended up being $70 more than what we thought because we had gotten an online quote for cheaper tires. Save yourself some money and go somewhere else!
They ignored my requests and went on with what they wanted to Do. After I said I didnt want these other things done they end up not doing what I originally came in for. They put a tire back on crooked and also didnt put my engine cover on right because they broke off a piece that holds it in place. Had to be hands down the worst car experience Ive ever had. I will never return to a firestone for the rest of my life. I was tricked into coming in with a good deal so they could try to upsell things I dont need. My 4 brand new less than a year old tires do not need to be replaced and no I dont need a 100 dollar check engine light reading because I already know that code. I just came in for the full inspection and tire rotation and walked out with my tires worse off than before and clear signs that they were reckless under the hood.
I had a bad coil pack on my GMC and I was charged $214 for a $53 over the counter part.
Spent 15 minutes giving all my personal information to be told I dont know if your 2500 dodge ram will fit on our rack and they wouldnt try it without all my personal info,,,, very good at wasting my time when there was a lot full of trucks. And some on the racks
Kept me informed through the process. Professional and courteous.
My visit wasnt for my car. My friend took her car in to get an estimate on fixing her AC. The estimate was around $1100 for parts and labor. We looked up the part she needed and it was $167 brand new. She went to a smaller auto repair shop (I dont remember the name) and their estimate was $400. We thought maybe Firestone was charging so much for labor because it was going to be difficult to fix the AC. The smaller shop was done in less than two hours and the AC works great.
Always nice during the drop off, but youll be upsold afterwards on things you dont necessarily need. Specify everything you want if there are choices between different costs. The work is good, but the hassle of knowing your gonna be looking at a bloated final cost as well as an extra grand in reccomendations is annoying. Was told my new tires werent gonna have a warranty because i didnt pay for a new alignment that i only slightly needed. This may be common practice, but just a heads up.
I brought 3 flat tires up there i wwas broke down on a bridge on the interstate and they hurried up and put new tires on for me so i could get my wife and kids off the side of the highway before we got hit by another car. thank you i will definitely use them again
Stood in front of counters 12 minutes 1 person was being help. The other 2 workers at the counters too busy to acknowledge me being there. I’m 6’3 280 I know they saw me lol...I took it that they didn’t want to assist me and left.
I did receive a call today with an apology for my experience & a resolution to make it right. Which I did appreciate. And I hope the staff can understand and in the future know that from the customer side of things we hear and see more than you realize. And with little to no knowledge of your field a better sensitivity and some explanations go a long way on our end. If you take care of and care more about the customer than whats worth your time or adding extras into the bill then thats how you keep & get repeat customers. Thats whats kept me going to & telling people to go to Firestone until this experience. Which I hope never happens again.
I found I had a tire with several nails and a screw in it. I wanted to change over to my spare but have never done it before. I was quoted $10 over the phone, but when I got there it took a grand total of 5min and the guys did it for free! Super nice of them. Really appreciate it!
I had a knock in the back of my car when i made a left turn. I was expecting the worst, but found out it was just a loose bolt. I did not get charged for the fix. Only for the oil change I came in for. They offer lits of specials and coupons. I have a 1999 car with over 200k miles, and it still runs like a champ, as my car has been serviced here for the last 8 years.
Good job found everything that needed fixing.
Heading down the interstate and my belts broke...the steering wheel locked up the white smoke was coming from the engine. I made it their by pure luck...they mechanics rainout to check on us. They were close at 3 p.m., early, so I was not prepared to my car until the next day and i was over a 1.5 hrs from home. After getting a Lyft they called and told me the mechanic and agreed to work on my car and would have it ready the same night. The price was very reasonable...
I’ve gotten tires for all my cars through them with warranty.. yesterday I had a flat tire, they had the truck all day yet today I wake up to a FLAT tire again. I called them, I was told I would get a callback to have my truck towed to them and I NEVER got a callback oh and last year I took my Nissan Altima to get an oil change and two week after my engine blew it had no oil what so ever... DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME WITH FIRESTONE IN SMYRNA, TN they are a joke.. FRAUD!!!
They went out of their way to get a tire for my friend on a Saturday afternoon before a holiday. I’ve previously had tires mounted and an alignment here and been pleased with their work. They have a cool solar roof too.
This review is difficult for me. I delivered my car around 10am on a Friday for break replacement concerns..Was called shortly after and advised that my breaks, rotors, master cylinder, and water pump needed replaced.. I was assured the workCould be completed by the end of the day... I received a call at 5:38 advising the wrong master cylinder was received and the correct part wouldn’t come in until 1st thing the next day. I was told the next day at 3:45 that the part was defective and the new part would be there at 5:00 and they would stay late to ensure the job was done... I work 10 mins from this location but LIVE an hour away... I paid for a ride there believing my car would be fixed because how could a REPUTABLE company like Firestone not have my car done by the end of day two with they promised day one! At 7pm the man came to me and said they couldn’t figure out my break problem and they sent me on my way... The next day 3:07 PM I was told they had no idea what was wrong and multiple people couldn’t figure it out and my car wouldn’t be ready until the next day... skeptically I agreed... what else could I do.... today they called and said my car was ready... my point is Customer Service Ryan and Ashlyn (hope I spelled that right) are on point but your mechanics need improvement! How can a company “garage” like Firestone have my car for 4 days with multiple mechanics and not be able to figure out the problem!!! Customer Service on point ..... BUT YOUR COMPANY IS BASED ON MECHANICS NOT GOOD PHONE ETIQUETTE!
Overall pretty good place. The only thing I dislike is only one person in the shop can call and verify your cars warranty which if unloading a truck as when we took our car it can take a long while. They did fix our vehicle and it is working perfectly though.
Capable mechanics. Probably entirely too expensive for most services. Staff turnover makes the quality of the interactions hit or miss, but what elevated this from a 3 to a solid 4 for me is the fact that they will have one of the staff drive you home in courtesy truck if the work being done to your vehicle is going to take a while (provided that they have enough staff on hand at that time of day to spare a guy).
Booked a 2pm appointment for an alignment.. spent $ 200 on it.. it’s been 2 hrs and they still haven’t started. What exactly is the point of booking an appointment? I certainly won’t be coming to this firestone anymore.
So, final review words. If you need something simple, oil change, brakes, be prepared. They will tell you you need additional reapairs (they did the same to my husbands Civic when it went in for an oil change). They seem to like the $1200-$1500 range. My husband declined the recommended repairs, and his car is fine.Took my car in for brakes, and was told it needed $1500 in engine repairs. Got it done, just picked up my car, and now it shakes horribly as I approach 30 mph...Will update this review if the situation changes.Update: Apparently the employee who talked to my husband to have all the repairs authorized did not mention the one critical thing my car needed, an axle repair. So most of the $1500 charge was unnecessary, and my car is actually in worse shape, AND we will have to pay additional money for it to even be driveable again.Further updates: Another $500 to get my car back. Unhappy that I have to give at least one star.
The wait time for an alignment was good. Only took about 45 minutes. The price was decent. I wouldnt get anything outside of an alignment and tires serviced though.
I had a 11am appointment, 2 hours later the car still isn’t even being looked at. Terrible customer service.
Oil changes are fairly pricex.
They don’t honor their prices. After putting my make and model online, I received a quote for $96. I verified the price when dropping off the car and 3 hours later they said they can’t honor the price anymore ($170 is the new price), manager wouldn’t agree to price originally offered.
Good service, just make sure to schedule an appointment ahead of time and tell them not to do extra stuff (only what you want.)
Manager made it right by replacing all tires that were deemed defective. Quick service times when possible. I’ve been using them for over 2 years now for tires, alignments and balancing. Everything else I use another mechanic.
Firestone had my oil change completed in 45 minutes and the I received exceptional customer service.
Customer service was very good, the wait was very long. Thats understandable. I am also a mechanic, they tried to sell me tires when all I needed was tire rotation, when looking and inspecting my tire depth with a gauge I still have more than 60% tire wear left in the front and 50% tire wear left in the rear. I dont think this amounts to selling a customer tires that they do not need. Especially when they are high performance tires and are very expensive I appreciate their concern. And I will always use Firestone because they use a torque wrench for proper specs on lug nuts when others just use an impact wrench which can damage multiple components on the vehicle. All in all the experience was very good their attention to detail was exceptional, and customer service overall especially on a Sunday when most people want to be home they were in good spirits as if they wanted to be there. Thank you very much sincerely Stephen Furman
Great customer service. Helped me find the right Interstate battery for my van, but when I got it home it didnt fit. Took it back and they found an even better more powerful battery that would fit but it was at a store a few miles away. The manager called over and told them to just swap the battery out and didnt charge me the extra amount for the better battery because of my troubles.
They serviced our cars for almost a year and certainly seem competent enough. HOWEVER, at every service, especially if my wife went alone, the staff would push us for every possible service they could argue, about $1500-2000 worth. Finally, they told me I needed $400.00 in brake repairs so I went over to Tire Discounters who confirmed that aside from slight grooving in my rotor, there was nothing functionally wrong with my brakes and no need for repairs. Charged me $0.00 for the inspection, which was the total of my bill. 3 months later, brakes are still stopping. We were far more satisfied with Tire Discounters customer service and bedside manner.
I have now been to Firestone of Murfreesboro & of Smyrna, both places I have waited over 5 hours for a diagnostic evaluation., & 3 hours for an oil change. On two of the occasions for a diagnostic they have taking parts off then talked to me about the findings, this time they completely replaced the part after I told them I just had the part replaced a month prior & would be having it replaced instead of Firestone charging me $405 for a $36 part that takes all of 10 minutes to take off & replace. There is a huge difference between making an honest living & making a dishonest killing!! I will never take my vehicle to Firestone ever again, its a complete rip off of so called time & cost of labor & parts.
Ive taken my car for an alignment 3 different times now. The first time it was done perfectly. The second time I had to go back because the steering wheel was not straightened. This third time I got an alignment because my steering wheel became crooked and it was under warranty. It took them 7 hours to do the alignment, they never called me when it was finished so I showed up on my own and they didnt even bother to straighten the wheel..... again. I dont understand how hard it is to straighten the wheel during an alignment. Its the first thing youre supposed to do, and I used to do alignments myself so I would know. One of their service writers is rude and always acts like he hates his life so I am not going to bother to come back ever again. Complete waste of my time.
The wait time here is pretty long, knowing that they stay pretty busy. What has me offset is the prices, they are really high. I originally brought my car here for services on a Sunday because they were pretty much the only one open. I got here 5 hours before closing and the associate told me that they probably wouldnt be able to get to my vehicle that day but I was more than welcome to wait. My response was, Wait in my tent?. If you cant do same day service on a Sunday dont bother. Just for an alt and battery replacement was almost $700, yeah...no. Literally had my vehicle towed away from this place. My fleet work might be done here but my personal choice will definitely not be here, if not for price alone.
Had a bolt in my tire, stopped in, all their bays were full. They got my truck in and out and patched it in about 30 minutes. Nice service, done quickly. I also bought a lifetime tire alignment from them. Helps keep my truck driving straight and reduces tire wear.
Good service, though quite pricey. Id recommend the lifetime alignment and $10 diagnostic check
Took care of me.
They got er done but $$$ update I had to come back in for a different issue $$$ Ryan at the front desk remembered me and went above & beyond! They make Firestone worth the time (fast) and money (they guarantee work)
These folks take care of all of our vehicles. They are great about checking everything and always call to discuss if they find any surprises. Dan is THE BOMB.
This auto care center took the time to get it right. I really appreciate the due diligence to make my car work. Staff came in on their day off to work on it. They double checked the error codes when it wasnt completely fixed the first time. Great location.
Take my word when I say. I’ve been to a few tire shops. But firestone took the win. Quick and proper. Customer service and service team. Both polite and well trained.
Great. Everyone was veryhelpful and nice.
Dont waste your time making an appointment. I did for 8am on a Thursday for a simple oil change and tire rotation. 3.5 hours later it is still no the rack....
Randy and his team took time to explain everything and what I needed done. Been a firestone guy for 20 years. Will not go any where for my car care. Thankfully I have a great team here in Smyrna tn.
You all always take great care of me anytime I have to have my vehicle serviced!! Thank you for being trustworthy and making me feel secure that my vehicle is in good hands!!
Warning: They diagnose based on odometer reading rather than the actual reason you bring your car in. My 2005 Trailblazer needed a wheel bearing replaced. I knew what the problem was. The estimate? $2400.00!! Wheel bearing, shocks, brakes, coolant, transmission and rear diff work was quoted. On top of that, they diagnosed the wrong wheel bearing! Ill never bring my car there again.
Fast good work. Waiting room is small so i had to stand the whole time or pase around but they did have drinks and snack so it wasnt that bad
Always have tires rotated and balanced and oil changed with coupons.
The people here are absolutely the best! Trustworthy and provide superior service! Wouldnt even bother going to anyone else!
Wait time, Customer Service, All was professional, courteous and extremely knowledgeable regarding the needs of my vehicle.
Kind of pricey and try to sell you things that you dont need, example I recently went for a tune up and they told me I needed new front tires (mind you i recently had new tires installed). Other then that the work is reliable
Great place to have your car serviced. I take all my vehicles to them.
They got me in quickly & allowed me drop my car off. I thought it would be all day, but they were done within about an hour or so. I recommend this place to anyone who needs car maintenance.
Second bad experience at this location. 3 1/2 hours to get two tires put on and an alignment check. Last time they didn’t seat a strut properly which caused a rattle under my vehicle. When I brought it back they claimed it was the ball joints and replaced them at my exapense. I took the vehicle home and had the same rattling. Brought it to them a third time and they fixed the issue, which was that the strut they put on was not sat properly. No refund for replacing unnecessary parts, no discount for the mess up, just cost me an extra weeks paycheck. I hate to be negative but it’s hard when you give a second chance and it’s bad.
I recently had some work done here and it was expensive as most auto work is. After paying $600 and replacing a part, Iam not sure they fixed the problem. I will updated this post in the future when I am convinced they didnt just randomly replace a part that want faulty.
Great staff, excellent service! I love the 6-month/same as cash financing!
Would not bother setting an appointment with them. I set an 11 am just to be told upon arrival it would be a 2 hour wait. Why offer appointments?
I went about three weeks ago to get my brake pads and rotors changed before vacation, so I dropped it off at 3 30. They told me they were busy so they would have it ready at close. When I arrived they told me the rotors were good and only charged me $200 instead of $400. I was excited until the next day I noticed my brakes squealed way worse than before. Firestone if anything made my car worse for the low price of $200. The rotors needed to be changed, but I truly believe they went unchanged for the fact of them wanting to go home so they half assed my car
They take decent care of me. I only go for oil changes. Mechanical work is just to expensive here.
My technician Campbell did a fantastic job!
That Campbell is such a cutie! And so helpful! If you ever go, make sure to ask for him!
If money isnt a problem for you, come here, theyll fix your car right. Otherwise, stay away. I needed to replace a radiator hose in my car and they said it would be $380 after parts, labor, and coolant flush. I fixed it myself for $70 after coolant and part purchase. It took 30 minutes.
Great staff and my wait time was around an hour for an oil change. Not to bad.
Terrible. Went in for one quick check and they recommended over $1400 worth of work. Got a 2nd opinion and none of it was needed. Stay far away!
I wouldnt take my lawnmower here. Asked them to replace valve covers and an oil change. Supposedly replaced the valve covers and didnt change the oil. Had a bad caliper on a wheel, but they didnt even mention my rotor was warped. They will bring to your attention that your tire tread is low when thats not even what you asked them to look at. Spent over $1000 here and had to get all of their work redone, but ar least it was cheaper and done right. They are overpriced and underperform.
I have been going to Firestone for decades. I followed management from the Murfreesboro location to the Smyrna locationAny issues that have arose have been dealt with. They always offer proactive solutions and are not put off when I decline them.I have a couple of high mileage vehicles and they have on more than 1 occasion kept these vehicles on the road.I actually do recommend friends and family to this Firestone location
Time of completion was way longer then quoted. Vehicle sat in Bay untouched for almost an hour. Some of the staff was nice
Great service and prices, thanks Cayce for all of your help and knowledge
Great employees working the front office, always treated with respect when I go there
Always nice. Very good pricing on a wide variety of services.
If you ever want to spend top dollar for nothing go here.
Don’t normally give 1 star to companies, but man I wish tier discounters or discount tries was open in a Sunday . I had removed my sons tire so he could drive and get it fixed in an emergency situation. Once i had the flat tire off i relized the spare was not in good shape, aired up the flat while it was off and figured he could drive on it 6 miles to firestone! Mind you we were using factory jack and lug wrench !Installed old tire and made an appointment with the only ones open firestone, well they called and said they took the tire off and broke a lug and wanted to charge more money for the broken lug they broke, mind you I’ve already had this tire off and back on and then trided to charge more money for a new drum cause they couldn’t fix there own mistake, Stay away from these crooks especially if you only need one thing done cause they will make sure you have to pay more because they hire incompetent employeesI’m gonna run my mouth to everyone make sure now one does business here agingCROOKS !!!!!
Customer service here is extremely poor. Id not recommend going here.I needed a refund for a Bridgestone tire purchased out of state. Based on instructions from Bridgestone corporate headquarters, I went to the local store. The front line staff was rude and rebuffed me completely. No help or suggestions. Just we dont do that.I then called the mechanic shop where Id purchased the tire, and got the support number they called at corporate headquarters. Provided that to the local staff. then providing the local store the Bridgestone support number to call for instructions. The local manager then gave me a refund. While I appreciate the managers customer service, and (final) willingness to help, this isnt a store Id recommend. Theyll happily take your money, but arent driven by a strong desire to serve their customers.
After thirty years I have once again had a remarkable experience at this Firestone Auto Care. With cordial and competent service, my car was again brought back to its pristine condition. I am a customer for life and that will never change.
If you want to fix your Vehicle dont go there.I drop off my Vehicle to Check..They never called me.It takes 24 Hours. Very poor Customer services.
Quick service, found out that they replaced the wrong tire rod(left side) instead of the right side. A mistake they quickly corrected!
Quick turnaround for my work vehicle. Multiple techs and its good waiting area.
Very good service And OK price Specially to Mr. Kevin Very accessible guy
