This store is clean and the employees seem nice and well-intentioned. I usually get engaged help fairly quickly when I go there.I’d happily drop in to grab something or have something done on the spot. I’m also confident that they’ll be fair and issue a refund if one is due.The shift to shift communication and tracking is where this place suffers. I won’t leave anything with hopes of it getting done again. Here’s what happened to me:I asked to have a couple of locks rekeyed, leaving the original key. They said it’d take a few days. I came back a week later and it wasn’t done. It hadn’t been touched.They said they’d talk to someone that day. I got a call that they were ready the next day. I made my way back there to find one set had been keyed to the other, NOT my key.They apologized. I told them there were no worries, just have someone call so I didn’t waste a trip. A week later I hadn’t received a call, went there to check and they were untouched. I got a refund and my key back.

Absolutely amazing local hardware store and so pleased to find it so close to our house. Really no reason to go anywhere else. Great help amazing selection and all kinds of old signs and span years and years of business

A great shopping experience. I would choose this place over Lowes anytime. Multiple staff were available to help me. They knew right where things were and cared. The prices were just as good as the big box stores. This place makes it a joy to support small businesses. Their selection is a bit smaller than the bigger stores, but as a hardware store for homeowners it is great.

This is exactly what you want in a neighborhood hardware store. The staff is friendly and helpful and you can find things very easily with their assistance.They also (as you would expect from a neighborhood hardware store) have the little odds and ends and doodads that just arent going to be at Home Depot...

Had to make a local visit to Vickery’s to grab some hardware for a TV mount. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly pointing me in the right direction and everyone was following mask precautions.Only negative is that I did not get to see Nails, but hope he enjoys his day off.

As a homeowner, you cant put a price on access to a GREAT hardware store. I honestly cant stand having to go to the big home stores for basic tools, parts, or supplies, so having Vickery right up the street is a huge plus!! Everyone Ive worked with there has been very helpful, courteous, and professional, and they always seem to have exactly what I need. I love supporting our local businesses and Vickery is one of the best!!!

Great place to go get odds and ends for projects, get a key cut, get kerosene, etc. Friendly staff always! Very helpful crew works here. A+ Service you will love. Yes you pay a few cents more for items or even a dollar or two more in some cases, but the experience is worth it. Their screws and bolt section is great too. Way more choices than the big box stores. Chrome bolts in stock. Great for you Harley project. Yearly I get kerosene for my garage heater. They fill propane tanks too. They also have some cool nick nacks in the store. Case knives to buy. Wow I can just go on and on about this place. Main tak away is this place is your friendly hardware store. Go, it is well worth the visit for the service alone. Im a fan for sure!

I went in to get my propane gas tanks refilled. Was greeted at the door and taken care of immediately. Gentleman that greeted me went to my car got the gas tanks out and carried them away to get refilled. Very attentive and friendly associates. They treat you like family. Quick service, great knowledge, good prices and variety. They carry Craftsman, so thats a plus. Will definitely shop here for my home projects and tools.

If you drive across the city of Atlanta to find a single screw you clearly have a screw lose... or your town needs a place like this. This is a local hardware store. If you live in Smyrna you likely already know of it. This is where I can find the hard to find hardware and when you want one screw not 100. Yes, they charge more per screw than Home Depot and Home Depot would also charge the same if they still had this type of hardware selection and sold one screw at a time. I always shop here and find interesting items you never see in the big box stores. The place almost always has a one to one employee to shopper ratio. Again, if you are a local, you know to ask the people at the counter when you walk in to find the item you are looking for, never have I ever been ignored. This is unusual because the owner hires teens that seem exceptionally knowledgeable. As a former business owner I know how hard it is to find smart attentive teens. If you dont have local hardware store in your town, you need to stop in and copy this model to help your fellow citizens in your town.

Recently became an Ace Hardware. Its about the same. A little neater with new look for ACE. Still hiring young untrained boys that arent much help without asking. Pricing is a lot higher than Home Depot. I guess you pay for convince. Love the shop cat.

I go here first for almost everything when I need to fix something around the house. An especially good stop for oddball fasteners or hardware. Great service too. They will take you or point you to the exact spot you need to be. If it isnt on the floor, they might have it in the back so always ask if you cant find it. They might not carry materials to build a whole deck but they will have what you need to fix it. I was able to cobble together a pretty decent PLC tester using some acrylic, miniature brass tubes and springs for DIY contacts. Probably the only thing I no longer get from them is propane. They do refills which is nice but if your valve seal fails in the process you will end up needing to go somewhere else for a tank swap since they arent setup for that. This has happened to me twice in the past five years. Not their fault really but it is a pain to pay for a refill then have to pay someone else to swap a full tank.

Great hardware store with an amazing selection of merchandise. Unlike with a big box store, you can get in and out quickly. Staff are knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful.

Vickery Hardware always has the best customer service. Theres nothing better than a local hardware store for the small town feel and friendly employees. And, of course, there is Nails the cat, whos there to visit customers as well. Love this place.

My goto place whenever I need a hardware.

I came into your store around 5:52 and as I was in a rush, I raced to where the item was that I needed and I raced to the counter. The man that was standing by the door proceeded to ask if I needed help and I answer no because the cashier was checking me out. As I was walking out, the manager following me for some reason, I suppose I dropped my receipt and he went wild saying that he doesn’t need customers like me that litter( I never meant to do so) And that I showed what kind of person I was, I’ll never go back. You’ve lost a customer and I’ll be sure to spread around to Smyrna how your “manager” on duty speaks to guest. I can’t believe how much money I’ve spent at this location just to be treated this way. I’ll be contacting corporate.

Needed many different items and one of there associates helped me the second I walked in the door. He knew where everything was and was very knowledgeable with a wide variety of topics. From O rings to the threads on bolts to propane to light bulbs in my refrigerator. I shop here often and they are very nice and super accommodating. I drink soda about 4 times a year and 3 out of four will be from here because its old school glass bottles in a cooler by the door.

Sometimes you just need the local hardware store to get what you need.

Always a friendly, helpful and knowledgeable staff working. Its probably one of the few places left that knows what customer service is all about. I remain a loyal customer. Some days you may find the friendly kitty cat that wanders around the store sitting on the counter greeting the customers.

Horrible. Never again will I go to my hometown hardware store. The children they have working there now are beyond disrespectful. I was inquiring about spray paints while I was getting copies of a key made and the employee I dealt with made me feel like I was a bother and it was a problem. I do get that it was almost closing at 730pm but he was in progress of making my keys it wasnt out of his way to answer a couple of questions. I was trying to figure out if I was going to become a regular customer who would be purchasing big amounts of spray paint weekly but now with the lack of care and customer service I will never again. And never will I refer anyone to that place again. Its sad they have taken a piece of history to Smyrna and made it into what it is today. I miss how it use to be where kindness and being friendly wasnt a thought or a memory it was real and now its everything but. I truly hope the owners reevaluate their employee basiss and find people who love what they do instead of what they have because what they have is driving people away. I didnt even want to give 1 star but zero stars is not an option.

Bad experience. Went in to get battery for my mothers watch. When they installed it & returned the watch the device was running but the hands were lose. The young black man who returned it said it was broken before he worked on it. Why would I replace a battery on a broken watch? Made no sense. Not only did I have to pay the $9.99 but my mother was called a liar. Never again. They are dishonest. Be warned.

They were sure to ask if I needed help although I didnt I appreciate that. And to top it off the shop cat made sure to great me with love. If I ever need anything from a hardware store Im sure to come here.

This place is great.1. You walk in.2. Someone immediately asks you what youre looking for.3. You become Charles Dickens in your attempts to describe the connector gadget thingy for the rubber hose thinger on your hot water thingy.4. The employee magically knows what youre talking about and rings it up for about 5% more than what youd pay after aimlessly walking in circles in Home Depot for 6 hours straight.Unless youre buying lumber or something really large, theres no reason to go to a big box home improvement store if this place is nearby.

Best local hardware store in Smyrna. Very friendly service and staffs. Everything you need in this place.

You cant beat a local hardware store. Right when you walk in you are greeted and asked if you need help. The people there are true craftsmen and they will help you solve any home improvement problem and even do it for you if they arent busy. Ive brought in broken drawers and theyve fixed it up right there in the shop. You can show them a screw and they know exactly what size it is, threading and all. It is the type of service and customer satisfaction that is impossible to get at large big box retailers.

Such a family atmosphere and good old fashioned customer service. Great alternative to the monster empire Home Depot.

I have gone here a handful of times for may varying reasons. This shop is well run with friendly staff. Though HD or Lowes may be cheaper the small town feel of this shop has me returning.

I came here today because I was having plumbing issues. The team here went above and beyond the call of duty to help me out. I have been in Smyrna for years but never went into this place. Ill definitely be a regular customer. Nothing like a neighborhood store.

Thursday night we came in to get an part to fix a tv wall mount because we hate Home Depot . We came in and was greeted by Jefren very nice guy cut a part for us and was very respectful and Mathew green also helped . We appreciate the customer service we had been given and we will continue to shop at victory hardware because of workers . More professional and helpful than Home Depot and they actually care about the customer

What appeared to be the OWNER working in the front on Wed morning July 25, 2018 had very nasty attitude. She didnt want my husband to even speak as he was trying to return an item with the receipt i might add. She told him she wasnt returning it because it was dirty on the back of it. The item wasnt opened an he had a receipt were he paid cash. Been going to this store many years, but never again. Ill drive across town before i step foot in there again. Bad business call for being an owner because its customers like us that keep your store open, you just remember that.

I can walk to this place, but prefer to go to HD in Vinings. The young guys working the desk, for the most part, just stare at you. Must be relatives of someone. They can be pretty unfriendly, and their whole ATM/debit system is a joke. I will say, one day a woman helped me and she went above and beyond. I was only looking for a handful of screws and you would have thought I was buying a lawn mower. She treated me fantastic. Because of her, and the proximity when I need something quick, I will continue to visit the store. But if I was the owner, Id hire some new help up front.

Like all good hardware stores, they have a lttle bit of everything and a whole lot of knowledge.

I have been shopping here for years. The customer service is great. Sometimes they get busy and you may have to wait but usually it is not for to long. Vickerys has a lot of things that the big box stores do not. If you need an off the wall screw with a crazy thread count they will probably have it. Also if you need an older plumbing part that the big box store doesnt have they will probably have it.

The owner didnt bwant to cut my new key fob because I didnt buy it from her. She finally did but say it wouldnt work because she is not perfect and cant warranty it because I didnt buy it from her. I think is very sad that people will get to this extreme to make a extra money. There is not honesty anymore. Everyone just want money and dont care about anything anymore. I have to buy another key fob 69$ to the trash because the gridy woman just wanted to make her point about if is not bought from her wont work. :(

If there were a negative star listing available, they truly would deserve it! Vickery Hardwear has in the past changed many watch batteries for me. I took my fathers vintage 1950s Hamilton watch there yesterday for the same service and after a literally 25 minute wait it was returned to me stating that they could not get the back off to access the battery. I told them ok, Ill take it to a jeweler ... Thank you. I placed the watch on the inside lining of my jacket for safety and proceeded on.Fast Forward ... I arrived at the jewelers for the same service and removed the watch to hand it to the attendant. It was then I noticed that the gold indicators (for #s 10 & 6) were moving around the face of the watch and a link in the rear was broken. I immediately went back to the store to see the gentleman who worked on it ... (he was at lunch). I spoke to a senior woman (who I later found out was the owner) to ask their procedure on replacing watch batteries. She explained a simple procedure of a tool that twist the rear to access the battery then replace. When I explained to her the damage that occurred she immediately became defensive and denied that it could not have happened there. We conversed for about 10 minutes until I guess my persistence annoyed her to saying why didnt I look at the watch when it was put back in my hands? Well ... your answer is that I never had to in the past have a reason to distrust your service, this is why I did not look at it upon you returning it to me. YOU have now given me reason! I found your handling of the situation very unprofessional ... you were so hell bent on trying to convince me I may have done something from the time I left your store to create the damage (false), and in reality ... you NEVER even asked to see or looked at the watch of topic. Hmmm ... If it was such a simple procedure to replace the battery, then why did I wait 25 minutes for its return? SMDH. I returned an hour later to speak to the original attendant, who conducted himself in a much calmer and professional manner yet still denied any wrong doing ... and YOU Ms. Vickery, were nowhere to be found. FYI - I suggest you take a note from the Business Etiquette Manual on how to proceed and handle customers relations ... for as God as my witness, Ill strip naked, eat bad cheese and bark at the moon all night before I set another watch in your hand to have a battery replaced!!! Yes ... I do know your store is convenient, but please remember that Home Depo is literally just a three minute drive from your location. Do better.
