One of a few remaining hardware stores. Not the typical big box stores with the actual parts that are needed to do your own repairs. The staff is very courteous and helpful, also unlike the other places that will sell you a new one. My only real disappointment is that they will only replace a carburator with a new one and not rebuild the one that is on your equipment. But thats the way they do things now in this age of disposable everything.

Family operated... great service even for the smallest purchase. I only hit big box stores after trying Family owned first.

Great store. Went to get a piece of glass cut for a cabinet door. The gentleman in the glass cutting department was a master of his department. We told him what we needed and he went right on making it. You dont get the kind of service we received at the big box stores.

Wow! Everything I need in one place! Everything was easy to find and well priced. The employees were both easy to rouse from their lethargic routines and courteously helpful in helping me find the more obscure components for my doomsday machine. When I finally bring about the apocalypse. Solon Hardware will be spared my wrath. Definately recommend.

I’ve really tried to give them the benefit of the doubt but I’m done trying. I’d much prefer to go to a smaller business and one that’s so close to home but I think I’ll keep this place as a VERY last resort.I’ve been in there a good dozen times to make small purchases. Each time I’ve had to circle the store two or three times to find staff, they frequently seem inconvenienced to answer questions.Cashiers are usually rude. They’re rude on the phone when I hear customers call in.I dare not go an hour before closing because employees will stand at the front of the store and stare you down until you leave.I’ll go elsewhere until I hear otherwise.

Its close so I can ride my bike over there. Helpful and knowledgeable staff members whom are proud of service and products. Reasonable prices that are competitive with the big box stores.

Called in about a repair and just got an incredible amount of attitude from the repair person. They also wouldnt answer any questions unless I came in and paid $45 for an estimate.
