Having just adopted our first dog, we needed everything for it. By buying several of the items at Ocean State Job Lot, I was able to save on the basic supplies (crate, puppy pads, etc.) and have enough left over to let my daughter splurge on the cute collar and leash that she wanted from one of the big pet store chains.Beyond decent prices, the company has continued a commitment through the years to give back to the community. An example is the coat donations theyve done a few times where if you buy a coat from them they donate a coat to an organization that distributed them to people in need. They also made fabric available for free in their stores during the start of the pandemic so anyone could make a face mask that wanted one but couldnt afford or find one.Even though I dont go here all the time, its a store Id genuinely miss having around if it were to close.

I live locally and shop here frequently, the staff is always friendly and helpful, I can get all I need here except refrigerated items which this store definitely needs to get, still 5 stars

I purchased a heavy (100#) A/C unit. A friendly clerk brought it to the checkout area and helped get in my car. Im a small woman so it was greatly appreciated. The ladies at checkout were also very friendly. Good experience all around.

I went to shop and use my crazy deal card and I couldnt get an item that was a crazy deal because I was using a card I was not happy thats not right it was a 2.00 dollar item. Again not happy at all

I always enjoy going to Job lot they have such a great variety of stuff for my house and clothes . the staff there seems genuinely interested in their jobs and theyre always helpful. The quality of the products there is very good.

Ocean State is what its meant to be, getting items that are usually cheaper than other places. Its not a great shopping place, but it isnt meant to be.

Had a great experience here! They have an excellent selection of inflatable pool floaties and we grabbed an awesome high velocity fan to cool our house. The team is very friendly and helpful everytime we visit. The store is always clean, and organized. The outdoor stuff they get is really cool, but like a lot of this type of discount store, something here today could be gone tomorrow. Good deals but checking out was painfully s..l...o...w! There wasnt even a line of people to wait for. No mistakes made but slow...slower than molasses moving up hill in the wintertime. s...l....o.....w just to ring up a couple of items and pay 4 them. No one was around for almost 10 minutes! It took me 7-8 minutes to find an employee!! The prices are good (obviously) but the cleanliness & neatness did not leave much to be desired.

I had to exchange a pair of shorts for a larger size. The cashier at the Customer Service Desk was very helpful and friendly. The entire process was quick and easy.

OCEAN STATE JOB LOT is always a wonderful place to find many odd items. Even a bunch of Gluten free foods. From Patriots shirts to socks to pasta, you can find ot all! Need to build these along the east coast for the traveling new englanders! Like Christmas tree shops, we love both stores.

Products were great but the staff at the Somerset store are rude. I went there with a group of friends we shopped for an hour or two the whole time we were followed by 2 employees. When we checked out the stood there and watched us ring up 3 carriages of stuff totaling around $500. I mean if I were going to steal why shop for 2 hours and spend hundreds of dollars. I certainly wont go back I dont need to feel uncomfortable while I spend my money in your store hire some employees with brains please!

Very busy store,the clerk was very nice and help full alot of items on sale matter of fact i bought a brand new winter coat. The price tag was at least 70dollars off the reg.price of 140 dollars very satisfied...

Ocean State Job lot has very warm winter gear such as, warm winter hats, gloves, scarfs,thermals and other winter accessories for only five dollars. Unfortunately, the downfall of my visit was, I went in looking for halloween costumes and halloween decor, only found Christmas decorations.

Checked the website last night for todays hours stated: 8:00a.m - 7:00 p.m. get to the store at with7:45 with about 15 other customers...guy says they changed the hours doesnt open til 9:00 WTH
