Spending in excess of $7,600 .+ for a JOHN DEERE Mower one would expect service after sale a 5+ rating.....nope...after we purchased the switch over ...from JOHN DEERE CO...to independent...everything has changed...changed quickly....now a INDEPENDENT business that no longer follows up to give service as the name...JOHN DEERE ....the brand..but services GREEN PAINTED MOWER GARDEN TRACTORS.A disappointment...usually ..and for multiple decades...I did service whatever I purchased..myself.As time catches up on my physical abilities..( Parkinson’s).i can no longer do as I did in the past..now have to rely on paying for services I no longer able to do.....A wait from 3..5 weeks is the normal at Meade...A simple service..drain hydraulic transmission ..refill new fluid..replace 3 original OEM BELTS. (drive,mower,hydro belts..) A known lurching, problem with warn belts...)A set of three Blades...sharpened....advised a minimum of 3..5+ weeks..!! .After calling Johnny Dearest Corporate headquarters..Moline ...seems the company tells us..MEADE is a INDEPENDENT DEALER...we have no control over policies set.... !We visited the business twice...in person..reason..told no employees physically at the business..( Rt 27..)A single employee..physically present in parts department....no service manger..no sales personal...but a single mechanic attempting to repair in excess of 25+++ Garden,tractor mowers....We were advised..your mower servicing completed ...we paid the complete invoice...($533.00)..asked what time will our repaid mower be delivered.....O...sorry..we have NO driver to deliver your mower....perhaps..maybe...next mid week..?We did require to hire a individual to mow our grass..5 acres....but unknown to us...that person was a known drug conviction felonReturned at 4AM...and. stolen our tow behind John Deer liquid fertilizer tow behind cart....($600.oo++)Today..Saturday...grass, weeds 1 foot + tall....our Rear Steer most expensive mower,, still sitting in the rear of MEADES TRACTOR BUILDING....waiting to find a driver to deliver...So those seeking a occupation...driving a small truck..trailer attached behind..here’s your chance to exchange work..for cash..$$$$$Easy to find..MEADES TRACTOR..RT 27...can’t mis the business..has a bunch of ready to repair mowers..and many more..waiting to be delivered ...Oddly ..I was a infield Service Representative for the EASTMAN KODAK CO... and JOHN DEERE...MOLINE....was one of my Assigned customers...my service territory..! I serviced the products that were purchased from KODAK..,!Of course..back 40+ years ago..I always serviced JD within ONE DAY..our Eastman Kodak products...OUR KODAK THEME...EXCELLENCE YOU CAN RELY ON.....So sorry..MEADE TRACTOR SALES & ( SERVICE (?) Only 1 Star .....
