Small but well stocked, a Do-It-Yourselfers paradise of hard to find project parts. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable, as promised in the jingle! Ace has come through for me whenever the big box stores let me down on parts for home repair or fabrication projects, restorations and patio grill maintenance.

Surprisingly well stocked for a small space (relative to the giant stores I typically go to for hardware). They probably do have what you need.

This place is amazing! The customer service cannot be beat especially putting larger stores to shame. Bill B in hardware was sad to tell me they didnt have the right nut for the bolt I was trying to match, then after more searching he chased me down in the parking lot before I left to make sure I got it! And brought a lollipop for my daughter and a dog treat for my dog, all for a $5 sale. Customer for life!

The kind of place that took the time to show me how to attach a head to an old fashioned janitorial mop at closing time. Better to spend money here than at the huge warehouse home improvement stores, for the better merchandise and help, if you can.

I like it, old school hardware store feeling..there are other ones closer my house, but i like this one.Very helpful staff, and the store has lots of the necessities of any toolman, and also.carry some unique items.I had bought some paint and had the color i needed mixed for me, by a very helpful store staff.

One of the last TRUE hardware stores in the area. Excellent select of hardware, supplies, and tools and truly knowledgeable experienced staff. If they dont have what is needed they have an idea of where you can get what you are looking for. Highly recommend.

They sell Craftsman tools but only honor the warranty if it was bought at the store they do not honor any other Craftsman warranties

Hard to find smaller local hardware stores...it is important to shop local when u can, chain store close our old, well known stores. So I Love ACE, employees and even management helped me on a return with no receipt. Above and beyond..If they so have they will order..why go to a chain store and see places like this close up. Very personal service very helpful. Ordered a key fob and when we came back to have it programmed they were unable to get it to work. Frustrating and a lot of wasted time.. they did give me a full refund and said that theyre no longer going to be doing it kind of a bummer.

This is the place I go first for any household project. Not only is everything easier to find than the big box stores, the staff is an amazing resource if you are not quite sure what you need. You wont find lumber or building materials here, but just about everything else. Theyre painting section is probably the best around. Also think of them for all your household needs - pests, cleaning, grass seed, fertilizer, faucet repair, you get the picture.

Older guy that makes keys there ripped me off! Charged me $40 to cut a car key. when I had called and asked for the price on the phone and told me it would have been $20. I also went to a different Ace and quoted me at $20 for the same key. On top of that he didnt even wanted to program the fob because he said that I didnt buy the blank from him. What a jerk, I will never shop there again they make up prices as they go. I will also contact BBB and let them know!

You know, this is one of that stores that sometimes we forgot they are here. Most of us go to homedepot or Lowes to get tools or home improvements materials. But let me tell you. Thats so wrong, this store has a lot of things that you will only find online, the service is more personalized and you dont need to walk miles to get what you want. And by the way the price is the same. Really happy with this store.

They have everything! Today a great young man cut keys for me. Asked if i needed anything else. Showed me to the area that i was looking for. So much better than wandering through those big stores.

I had called about furnace air filters and was told by a worker that you had what I was looking for. Made a special trip into your store and you didn’t have the specific one I needed. On my way out of your store, a female worker made a loud comment to a manager because I moved a cone that blocked my exit. “It’s there for a reason. They shouldn’t be moving it.” Also your store appears to sell the least desirable toilet parts. I wouldn’t return. There are better Ace stores.

One of my cooking pans lost a screw in the dishwasher.Bob took the time to find the perfect cooking safe screw and fasteners! He fixed it in front of me and handed it over.He provided amazing customer service despite it only being a small sale.Wonderful staff and selection. A+

We bought a snowblower ($1299) here in October or November 2020. When I asked questions, the store manager, Dave, was extremely rude and sarcastic. He spoke to my husband with respect, however, made me feel like I had no business speaking. He told me to relax and have a glass of wine. Question to the store owner: Do customers have the right to ask questions when making a large or small purchase? Men and women? Dont worry, I will never return.

Really impressed by the customer service and selection at this place. I went in looking for an M14-1.5 bolt for my car, which they had but even the local Toyota dealership didnt have. The staff helped me search for the bolt and gave me some helpful tips as well.

Ace in Somerville is the best. They have a great staff, impressive inventory, and offer a much more pleasant experience than the big box guys. They also carry lots of harder to find stuff for the Big Green Egg and Weber grills. It is the only place around that always stocks charcoal all year round, and they have done so for many years.

I have been visiting this place of business for a number of years. I have enjoyed meeting them on usually about several times a week and I have also enjoyed it as well offering my favorite time of the year during the Season in December to share my life as I am a professional Santa. Its a small and they carry a lot of products which is good. However, theres poor ventilation and the off-gassing of numerous products makes it a toxic environment for those of us who are synthetic sensitive. That said, the staff is knowledgeable, helpful and attentive.

You walk in the door and knowledgeable people are ready to help you.I always get what I came for! Thats what I like best. I fixed a $400 faucet handle for $0.45 and a $360 compressor for $0.48. Total $1 with tax.I let them keep all my spare parts ready to go and neatly organized. When I need something - I have it and am on my way in minutes; beats looking all around the garage for something I know I have - somewhere.

Nice place to swing by for Ben Moore Aura paint and ideas. The cashier machine noises tho, like a horn in a Homer Simpson designed car, good for a chuckle tho, net net. It is indeed the place.

When you need something and need help, this is the place to come. They are very nice and helpful with a very good selection. I was looking to repair a teapot and wanted to try the bolts and not end on the handle. They have items in trays so you can see if they fit. In the big stores everything is in plastic bag, so you cant test ideas

Post Ace Hardware is like a wee bit larger version of an old fashioned hardware store -- no running around a big box store to find what you need. And, everyone on the payroll from the cashiers to the assistants who work the aisles are always ready to help.

This store should be your first stop for any hardware needs. Screws, fasteners, bolts, STAINLESS, any length and size and type. AND ITS NOT SUPER CRAZY MARKED UP LIKE THE BIG BOX STORES!!!! They even had the perfect fitting ‘olde’ style lamp twist switch lost from my mother’s really old lamp. We hadn’t been able to use it without a screw driver to turn on and off for years... I’m as lazy about going online and ordering as anyone else. They also had an amazing selection of craft decorative chain we needed for These people have this stuff. The tools section must be a regular stop for tradesmen who need just the right tool and they need it now. So let’s be honest, they don’t have everything but I do go between here and Home Depot to pick up the hardware or odds n ends. Almost always, the harder to find stuff is here and I kick myself for not checking here first. Best thing, if they don’t have it, the guys here will tell you exactly where to find or where to try. That’s service that cares and isn’t just blowing you off. Thanks a bunch for helping every time I was in a crunch!!!! 5 stars because as a good consumer I shop around and I’ve learned what I can count on them having and they almost always have it and if not they tell me where to go find it.

When I need hardware, paint supplies, electrical or plumbing repair parts, yard tools, even canning supplies, I always find what I need at post. They are always friendly and helpful, parkings a breeze. For all the basics, its a far better experience than those big home centers!
