I started guitar lessons there knowing not a single thing about the guitar. 6 months later and I am playing songs! My teacher is extremely nice, patient, and knowledgeable. The rest of the staff are friendly and helpful. The shop is small but has a great local vibe. I would recommend this place to anyone wanting to take music lessons or to fulfill their music shopping needs.

Last year my daughter started taking the piano lessons here..Great and friendly teachers and front desk persons..We love this place as my daughter enjoys her lessons. Good place to learn the music!!

My son takes drum lessons there. Everyone is friendly. Matt does a great job. Scheduling is very easy.

I originally came up onto the internet to bash division street music shop, but no longer is this the case. A huge mixup happened that I was unaware of and instead of ruining my day Division Street Music made my day. I can talk from personal experience and that of my friends that music shops can be run by some untrustworthy bunch but not this shop. Everyone that works in this shop is extremely nice and knows their stuff. They helped me out even when my problem was not their problem. The shop has a great feel and atmosphere when you walk in. Its a small shop but theres a lot to look at. Support your local music shop, Support Division Street Music!

DONT get your guitar or bass repaired here (or guitar center).I brought my jazz bass in for some electronics work and a setup. Was told Id get an estimate for the work within a week - after calling a bunch of times with no answer from the tech or the owner and a couple questionable conversations with the tech that had me doubting his skill, I finally got my bass back after a little over two months... The bass sounded all good at this point even if it took this long so I thought Im OK but boy was I wrong. After the 5th 9v battery died in a couple months I knew something was up, since one of these should last me a year. I took it back to the shop and explained the situation. More unresponsiveness from the staff and a couple weeks later I got a call from the owner saying that they have no idea whats wrong with it and that they cant fix it.. Now I gotta bring it somewhere else. I wont be coming back
