My son had his first car wreck a month ago. Direct auto body had the car within 2 days of the accident and got it back to us quickly. The car looked better than ever before. They provided pictures throughout the process as to what they were doing. My son being 16 is a very impatient kid so they answered our questions and provided excellent customer service. His response when I asked what he thought was damn look at this. You cant tell I was in a wreck. He said thanks mom and thanks direct Auto for fulfilling our needs. I hope we dont experience another wreck in the future, but if we do Direct Autobody has our service!
They repaired my daughters car that was hit. It needed parts they werent sure they could get but were able and used genuine parts. They were professional and kept me updated throughout the process and were timely. Being from out of town, daughter just moving there they made it an experience as good as possible. I dropped a shelf on my metal motorcycle tank. Being an older model tank, theyre nearly impossible to find a replacement. I tried contacting many different shops and nobody was willing to touch it due to being do far from the gas cap area (should be noted typically these are pushed out hence the access needed to be close to the dent). Direct Auto Body said it was not a problem, they would be able to weld tabs and pull it from the outside. They even spotted a dent I never knew about that I dont believe was part of the shelf incident due to the location of the dent. The repairs came out flawless, I was really surprised how well it turned out. As far as I can tell the paint matching was spot on, they were able to get the metal flake in the paint that was originally there. They dont do decal work thats why the photos are missing those but that doesnt take away from the repairs they did. I really couldnt ask for any better. As far as price is concerned, I would expect to pay as much as I did anywhere else, and it was cheaper than buying a replacement tank if I could even find one in good condition. And I wasnt concerned about the time it took, I just wanted the end result to be worth it and it was.

Direct Auto Body did a great job fixing my car. Had back bumper and and taillight assembly replaced and it looks brand new. You would never know it was original. They also used Chevy factory parts.i was completely satisfied with their work. I highly recommend them to have work done . They were fast and got the job done .

UPDATE: In my original review of 01/14/21 I meant to rate this business, Direct Auto Body, as FIVE STARS (the maximum), but on 02/02/21 I took another look and realized I had made a mistake and somehow it was recorded as four stars. (I was not familiar with the Google review process.) This edit should change my rating to 5 STARS. To repeat, I am very pleased with the excellent work and full service and very reasonable pricing of this body shop. If I need auto body repair in the future I will go there as my first and only choice.Over the past two years I have had multiple repair work done by Direct Auto Body, and I have been completely satisfied with the workmanship and service at Direct Auto Body every time. I had one car repaired for a small highway ding and a second vehicle repaired twice, for two separate incidents of body damage that occurred a year apart. In both cases the damage was crumpled fender or the like, and the repaired area looked as if the damage had never happened. In all cases the condition of the rest of the body was excellent (late model cars), so a not-so-great repair job would have been obvious. The time estimates were reasonable and the work was completed as quoted. The major repairs were covered by insurance, but in addition I had two separate incidental repairs done (not covered by insurance) and the quotes were quite reasonable and the repair quality was excellent.
Could not have been happier with the experience. I am not familiar with cars and the gentleman working on my vehicle made me feel very comfortable before during and after working on my vehicle I even feel I gained some knowledge on cars.

A very pleasant experience. I was informed of every step that was being taken for the estimate of damage on my car. Everything was explained in detail and all my questions were answered in a kind and courteous manner.
I left with more scratches than when I arrived. They lied to me about the scratches. Their said they were there when I brought it in. When asked why some of the damage that I was originally having repaired wasnt done, they said that my insurance company told them not to fix it
I had a disappointing experience with this shop. At the outset, they agreed not to start repairs until all damage was known so that I could pick and choose what to have repaired (my car is older and I didnt want to pay for cosmetic work). They proceeded with work before doing so and charged in full. Communication with the employee assigned and the manager was frustrating as they defended their case to the end and ultimately ignored my concerns. Since having this experience we have used Manys Auto Body with no issues. If you need a body shop in South Burlington, I recommend Manys!

Fair warning, this happened in 2015 but this place hasnt changed a bit. After colliding with a deer, I took my car here on my insurances recommendation. It has been nothing but a nightmare since.Even though the front end was replaced with original equipment manufacturer (OEM) parts, I still had noticable panel gaps between the bumper, fenders, headlights and hood as well as scratches on the replaced headlight. I went back and forth over these issues for 3 months involving my insurance, the body shop manager and owner, and left a review documenting my experience here.The owner threatened to stop the work on my car if I didnt take it down and I caved in back then. When I got my car back, the gaps were still present but better and they buffed out the scratches on the headlight which yellowed in that spot a few years later.I recommend taking your vehicle anywhere else.
Direct Auto Body is amazing! Their work and communication are top-notch, and I will continue to bring my car to them for any work I need. I was recently rear-ended and my car had significant damage to the back bumper and impact bar. Direct Auto Body did an incredible job fixing everything. My bumper looks brand new! Marc Patterson did a wonderful job keeping me in the loop during the repair process and letting me know how things were progressing with my car. He was excellent at handling insurance and making the entire process less stressful for me. I cannot say enough positive things about this place!

The GM strike has made life hard for these folks. My repair job was significantly delayed, and yet the staff was friendly, responsive and, in good faith, helped offset the additional rental costs I incurred due to the delay. When you go, know that you are in good hands with Mark, David and Laurie.
Had someone dent my mini in a parking lot, the experience at Direct was fantastic!Not only did they fix the the dent they took the time to detail the car and actually got some scratches out of my wheel well covers.Can’t say enough about the service and care they have for their customers!
Avoid this body shop. Manager on down doesnt care about customer service or satisfaction. I had to bring my car back to fix sub standard work and it came back a second time with issues.

Had my windshield replaced. The price was great compared to the other places I called. The service was friendly and the shuttle was convenient. This will be the first place I call the next time I need a quote for auto glass or body work.

Came in to get an estimate on damage my car suffered. They were great even though they knew I could not use them to fix my car because I had to head to another state. They looked my car over to make sure I could my the trip safely. Very nice and helpful people.
I was going out of town for 9 days. I left my car with them and we arranged for them to have it and repair it while I was away so that I didnt have to arrange for a rental. What do you know 9 days later and they are duh? What? Duh!! Gee whiz its not done. It was a small repair. What a joke... Dont depend on this business.
Losing a long time customer.I have been going to Direct Autobody for nearly 10 years now, but my last experience is ending a long time relationship with them.I had a car wash knock my antenna loose last summer, and took it to them for repair. I scheduled a date and had to drop the car off early because their shuttle runs 8:30-4:30 which interferes with my getting to work on time. I dropped the car off, dropped my keys in the drop box and went to work. After noon I gave a call to check on it, and they had forgotten I scheduled and basically wondered who’s car it was sitting in the lot. Ok, ok fine, slow start, car was in.Three days later it was done, the dent in the roof was removed and a new headliner installed. I arrived to pick it up and looked it over. The dent was still there, and when I questioned it I was told, they removed it, but the new antenna resented it when it sucked together to seal it. I had to return to work so I left. As I left I unblocked the sunroof to let light in and saw dirt spots all over the headliner, so I called from the car and they asked for pictures. I took some when I got to work and noticed what looked like damage around the sunroof enclosure. I sent the pictures in, and they did admit that it was dirty, but said it was because it came to them that way. They did agree to clean it. When I brought it back I asked about the damage around the sunroof. They said it was normal, but took a picture to see if Honda would warranty it. According to Direct Autobody, Honda said it was fine.I spoke with my insurance agent, and they sent an adjuster to see the car. They too saw the damage, and had me visit the Honda dealer that sold the headliner. The Honda dealer says it looks to have been damaged in installation, and they won’t warranty it because of faulty installation.So now my insurance company says I’m out of luck, Honda refuses any warranty, and says it’s damaged, the insurance company says it’s damaged but they only pay for one repair (and damage during repair isn’t counted as a second event) and Direct Autobody refuses to fix it because they say it’s fine. It’s not fine, and I’m sorry but I care about my vehicle and it really feels like it has about as much damage coming out as it did going in.
Had my car repaired here through Progressive. The whole process was ridiculously easy and the staff is friendly and easy to work with. They did an excellent job with the repairs, which took way less time than I expected. I would have had the car back in two days if a snowstorm didnt hit on the pickup date. If someone runs over my car again, I know where Im taking it.
Friendly staff, but there were many issues. ETA changed multiple times without being notified, I had to call to find out days after the date passed asking what the deal was. After exceeding many ETAs I waited it out, took a month or so for minor front end collision (~10mph on ice).There was also an dirty part in my backseat which was NOT reinstalled under the hood, weathered/rusty bracket was tossed on my passenger seat, and another one of the items replaced wasnt tested, and I know this because I had to bring it back 2m down the road due to the car flashing lights at me.Friendly people, but really unsatisfied about how the repair was handled. Will not be back.

After a few days I had gotten a call from their service manager letting me know my car would be ready for the next day. In my book thats great customer service! It allowed me to setup a ride from one of the guys that I work with! If I didnt have a ride they could have had their shuttle pick me up. It was just easier to get a ride from a co-worker. My car was done by early Thursday afternoon.

This is by FAR the worst body shop in the burlington area. I took my car here for minor car body repairs, the damage is the size of a quarter, it took over a month and they kept changing dates for the job to finish. When I picked up my car the inside smelled like toxic paint for over two weeks. The manager and staff were completely pathetic, NEVER take your car here for repairs!!!
Update 1/31/19...I finally got my van into a REPUTABLE shop to rectify what these clowns did to it. During the supplement, where the other shop took everything apart and really start to look, they discovered Direct Auto Body drilled into my corner brace and straightened it out, poorly, leaving it out of its original shape with a multitude of holes through it. The corner brace is a major component of the frame that assists in crumple zone protection. With that part compromised, my family was at risk if we were in another accident.The damage that Direct caused during their so called repair of my vans corner brace was so dangerous, combined with the fact that it is a Geico Express facility, caused Geico to purchase my van from me for 61% over its book value in order to save face. If I brought my van to a reputable shop, it never would have been totaled. The poor work that Direct Auto Body did to my van caused Geico to declare it a total loss.Unless you want your family in a poorly repaired, unsafe vehicle, I would run fast and far from Direct Auto Body.After conversations with people in varying levels of management at Geico, they claimed they are looking into dropping Direct as one of their express facilities.If Shearer/Direct cared about their customers, they wouldve told the shop manager, David, to beat it and tried to make it right instead of arguing with me below.UPDATE 12/5/18... Direct Auto let my van go out with a bent frame. The COMPETENT body shop I took it to found it, after the idiots at direct put it through their shop twice. Insurer is willing to total my van, thats how egregious the damage is.Do not, I repeat, DO NOT GO HERE. The absolute worst body work ever seen. The worst attitude from a manager whos obviously never set foot in a body shop. Nothing but lies, excuses and bad work. My van went through their shop twice and still looked awful. Nothing lined up, paint didnt match, bubbles in the clear coat. Told me thats the best they can do. You can get better body work at the Vo-Tech for free. These people are THE WORST at what they do. Question it, and the nasty manager will literally yell at you. LITERALLY. YELL. AT. YOU. He shouldnt have a job in customer service, let alone be a manager. I finally got my van out of there and into a REAL body shop, they not only picked apart the work visually, during the supplement they found brackets that were still bent. THE WORST SHOP EVER IS DIRECT AUTO BODY. With so many body shops in our area, you dont need to go to this one. Dont walk away...RUN, FAST and FAR. If I could give negative stars, I would, 1 is too many for these idiots.By the way, I read the reviews here and thats what lured me in. Dont be fooled, every one of these positive reviews is either a schill for the company or does not know what good body work looks like.

Brought a car here for body work and was told it would take 7-10 days. Called at the 2 week mark (without communication on their end) and was told they were waiting for a part they had just ordered. Then charged well over half the value of the car for the repair. IMO grossly taken advantage of.

Either the people working here are incompetent, or they are crooks. Maybe both. My car was taken there after an accident and I was told it would be there for 5 days. That was 29 days ago.They first gave me the car back (which had no previous issues) with the check engine light on, a non-functioning speedometer, the door locks not working, and after a drove it twice, the battery died.They told me that the new things wrong, that THEY broke, were not part of the accident and that they would not fix them. They finally fixed the fuse that had broken, controlling the alternator and the speedometer, but now there was a broken O2 sensor, and the windshield washer fluid was not squirting. They told me that both of these things were not accident related, when they were both right at the point of impact.They begrudgingly fixed those two things, although my door locks still do not work, and now they tell me my engine is cracked. First they said it was because of a much harder impact, not accident related, so they would not be fixing it. When I complained and said the car had not been in any other accidents, they change the d their story and said that the crack was due to old age of the engine and they would not fix it. When I complained, they told me it was not really a crack after all, not really a problem, and they would not be fixing it.I am currently looking for a lawyer. Do not take your car to these people.
