Turn off the highway into this muddy, unassuming parking lot and find all the cedar lumber your heart desires! The show room was cluttered and dusty but the man at the counter was kind, courteous, and very helpful. For about $100 I got six beautiful, fragrant, rough cut white cedar 2x6s—enough for a 12” high 4x8’ garden bed. You won’t find a better source of ceder near Burlington! ...Don’t forget to eat some jerk chicken at Jamaican Supreme next door!

Koenigs Cedar...the stockyard, if that is what it is, is not too impressive when you park, and basically you are walking in to a one-time house-turned-office. But man! They hit the ball out of the park for me several times-- next day delivery of quality wood during a pandemic. Good advice from the man in charge and the guys who deliver, too. I love being able to support a local business and talk about their great service, especially after a really terrible experience with a certain big box store, where the impersonal and uncaring employees can direct you to the right aisle, but cant fix a major screw-up in delivery.

I was so pleased to find rough cedar at Koenigs for building my raised bed (in Middlebury)! The folks there were extremely helpful. The constructed bed went together easily and is working nicely!
